I had originally ordered a custom qipao from a different shop and when I picked it up three weeks before the wedding, it looked nothing like the sketches and fit terribly even after the final fitting. My husband and I decided it wasn't salvageable and decided to try and find a store with floor samples for sale. Lumiere was the first company to get back to us out of the multiple inquiries we sent. They were very responsive and and understanding of our situation, squeezing us in for an early appointment. Queenie was phenomenal to work with! Even though she knew I was in a tough position where I'd probably buy any dress that fit, she took the time to ask questions and understand my personal style before showing me the dresses she thought would be the best fit. I ended up being torn between two dresses (which was a happy surprise since I was worried about finding even one.) Once I made my selection, Queenie took my measurements and were able to get alterations done a week before the wedding. I was beyond thrilled with the final outcome. The dress was extremely comfortable too! I'm so glad I found Lumiere.

Queenie is a very sweet lady. She’s very professional and talented when it comes to her work. She helped me decide what would look best for my bridesmaids. She also designed my “bolero” (an add on off the shoulder sleeve) which was very important for me to have on my wedding day to partner up with my wedding dress. Even though I didn’t get my wedding dress from her (got it before I met her), she still helped me come up with a design through her drawing that would look best with my dress. And sure enough, on my wedding day, I felt very comfortable and beautiful with my bolero on that made me danced the night away. It even looked like I was wearing a different dress. I would definitely recommend her to my friends. Thank you again, Queenie. You are indeed a blessing.

Queenie gave us very professional design advise. Her suggestions has significantly upgraded the outlook of our wedding dress. She also offered quick turnaround time when we approached her three months prior to our wedding. I would come back to her when needed in the near future.

For starters, Queenie is an absolute angel! Just a month ago, I was a bridesmaid, and my dear friend (the bride) chose a beautiful Lumière Couture dress for each of us. Love love love their work! Originally, I was only going to get one modern qipao but decided to make another one after I saw the first results! I looked all throughout the SGV but was unable to find anything similar to what I wanted. I wanted something traditional with a modern take and Lumière was the perfect place! Both Qipao’s definitely did not disappoint!

The Lumiere team were so helpful in designing my gown for my wedding. I appreciated the time and personal touch they did with listening to how I wanted to make adjustments. We did multiple fittings making sure I was happy with the final look. All my family and friends loved the chinese gown and thought it was way more beautiful than my white wedding dress. My sister picked her reception gown and bridesmaids dress from Lumière. I absolutely loved our bridesmaids dress because the material is super comfortable and is extremely flexible with styles. All three bridesmaids were had the same dress but dressed in different style. Queenie was also super helpful from dress fitting to actual wedding day. She paid attention to the details and helped us styled our dress.

When I started shopping around for a qipao for my wedding, it was very difficult for me to find the right style that I was looking for. Most dresses were either too traditional for my taste or were rentals that didn't fit my figure. When I stumbled upon Lumiere, it was a dream come true. Lumiere Couture has the prettiest collection of bridal dresses. I am in love with many of their dresses the moment I tried them on. I always wanted a dress that I could wear even after the wedding day and their convertible dress made my dream come true! The 3-in-1 dress could be worn in cocktail, mermaid and A-line style. I couldn't express how gorgeous and elegant it looks. I especially love how the dress was designed with a perfect blend of eastern and western cultures. I also love the pearl buttons line at the back of the dress which makes it looks even more classic. Queenie is very professional, dependable and friendly. She made sure the dress would fit perfectly on you. Some of the dress details can also be custom made. I would highly recommend Lumiere Couture to anyone who is looking for gorgeous dresses and excellent customer service!

It was such a pleasure meeting and working with Queenie Ho at Lumiere Couture Bridal! I wasn’t sure about what kind of dress I wanted, but she was so helpful with suggesting the styles that would fit and look better on me. It was fun to try on the different dress styles and design the dress of my dreams with Queenie! The final dress design included the dress elements that I liked the best, and since my main wedding color was purple, I chose a white lace halter gown with a dark purple liner. I received so many compliments from my family and friends, and my dress was so comfortable and easy to move around in. Each dress detail is expertly attended to to make a dress that you will love and be able to wear for other special occasions. Queenie is so friendly, talented, and dependable, and she will make sure that you are satisfied with your dress!

I was looking for a contemporary Chinese red dress, and found it here at Lumiere! From the first communication all the way until I picked up my dress, Queenie was responsive, approachable, and very sweet! She made me feel at ease since I was planning my Chinese wedding in less than 4 months! My dress was finished in less than expected time frame too. I custom made my night wedding gown and ordered the bridesmaids' dresses from Lumiere. Queenie was very experienced and knew what she was doing. She helped me to pick out the purple shade I would like for my gown and made each single adjustment according to my need. The dress turned out to be very beautiful with the gold laces. And for the bridesmaids' dresses, all of my bridesmaids love the dress very much because it is very comfy. The convertible dress has many different ways wearing it and my 3 bridesmaids had different styles on them which expressed their personalities very well. I'm very glad to have Queenie and Lumiere to be a part of my big day!

Wonderful little place! I first when there because I was intrigued about the Asian inspired dresses and ended up falling in love. I ordered a strapless white wedding dress and beautiful, delicate lace. I specify that the dress was white because they have many red and gold dresses as part of the Chinese influence. They also include 1 alteration for free!

I was looking for a Chinese gown with a western influence and Lumiere was the perfect find! The owner of Lumiere, Queenie, is a sweetheart, and made the ordering process very easy. She even gave me several referrals and recommendations for other wedding vendors. One alteration comes complementary with your dress!

What can I say? I love my westernized qipao!! Queenie was so tentative to my specific details of how I wanted my qipao to look. The final result came out better than expected. Would highly recommend Lumière Couture Bridal if you're not looking for the traditional qipao.

I only have great things to say about Lumiere and the owner Queenie! I was recommended to her from my wedding planner Christine Lin and had amazing service from the beginning to end. I was looking for a Qi Pao to wear during the ceremony, and Lumiere offers the best custom tailored options to make a glamorous, yet traditional fit. You can basically design your own Qi Pao, and I had so much fun doing it. She gives you a lot of samples and options to choose from, and the final product felt like an absolutely beautiful and high quality dress. Queenie goes above and beyond to make sure you are well taken care of as a bride and will recommend her a million times over. Another thing that really meant a lot to me was that Queenie was willing to pray with me when I was going through a tough time during my wedding planning. It brought me a lot of comfort and peace knowing that not only is she talented at her work, she empathized with me and became a friend. Thanks so much Queenie for your hard work and absolute patience with me ;)

Queenie was amazing! She was so attentive and understanding. She made the entire process a breeze, from choosing the perfect dress to being there on my big day to make sure everything turned out right, I couldn't have asked for anything more! She was there to answer any questions that I had and she was super polite and incredibly professional. If you get the chance to check out her studio, you HAVE to go! It's beautiful and elegant, yet cozy and chic all at the same time! I'd expect nothing less from someone with such awesome style. Lumiere bridal collection has the most amazing bridal dresses that are perfect for a hybrid bride like myself (HongKonger from birth till 11 years old, then moved to the U.S.). I knew I wanted to wear a red traditional bridal dress (QiPao) but with a modern western twist. Queenie's dresses is the perfect blend of the two cultures with an elegant and tasteful crossover. I really felt amazing in my red dress and I kept hearing people gasp and commented on how amazing my dress look on my wedding day. Queenie made sure that the dress fits perfectly with exact measurements on my body and alterations when I got skinnier before the wedding day. The dress is wonderfully and meticulously made by hand so you have to be patient with the wait time (give approximately 3 months before the wedding at the minimum). Everything about the dress can be custom made (fabric style, zipper/tie, etc.) so you are sure to be satisfied with what you are getting from here. My sister got married a couple of weekends ago, and I had the pleasure of celebrating with her as her Matron of Honor. I have to say, working with Queenie was such a easy and comfortable experience! Lumière Couture Bridal was amazing in helping me find the perfect evening gown for my wedding banquet. I was first drawn to their gowns because I loved the idea of a modern/western twist on the traditional qi pao/cheongsam. I ended up getting a gorgeous long dress with an open back in a vibrant ruby red color. The quality of the gown was exquisite and the Lumière team was so easy to work with throughout the process from selecting the gown to final fittings. I felt like royalty the entire time I was wearing the dress and my wedding guests still comment on the beauty of the gown months after my wedding. I have recommended their gowns to other brides as well and will continue to do so.
