Makiaj was great to work with. They did my hair and makeup for my Hindu wedding and reception and were able to create two absolutely dreamy looks. I appreciated their knowledge of Indian customs and traditions as well.

Such an amazing experience from the day I booked services with Makiaj for my wedding! I can't recommend them enough! When I met Monika for the first time at my trial, we connected immediately and I knew I was in good hands. Although Monika was extremely professional, I also felt like I was hanging out with one of my girlfriends. All of the Makiaj gals I met were so wonderful, they hype you up and truly create inclusive environment - it's amazing. Back to Monika - She executed my vision perfectly. Even though I changed my hair for the day-of to something a little less high-maintenance, Monika made me feel at ease and knew exactly what I was asking for. I couldn't have asked for a better hair and makeup team for myself and my bridal party.

The team listens to you to truly bring your vision to life. Plus the girls are so much fun to work with that it just adds to the getting ready experience. Had a great experience with Makiaj for my March 2023 wedding. I live in Los Angeles and got married in Tucson and Makiaj was far and away the best hair and makeup vendor that my planner recommended. Huge shout out to Diana and Ingrid who were AMAZING and such a big part of my wedding day! They even stayed past the allotted time to make sure everything was perfect. They were so easygoing and had the best energy. I loved Diana from the second I had my makeup trial with her! Hair and makeup looked great and I received a lot of compliments. Isa was my master artist and not only is she extremely talented, she is also very sweet and was a great hype girl for my wedding day! Danielle is an absolute GEM!!! Cannot say enough good things about her. I was lucky enough to have Danielle do my makeup for my rehearsal dinner and my wedding day, she absolutely crushed it. Such a superstar and the sweetest person! Will most definitely be going back to Makiaj because of her!

I have never felt more beautiful in my life! Hair and makeup lasted all night! I got exactly what I asked for even though I changed my mind after the trial. Not only are they the best at what they do but they are also the kindest people!

Makiaj does beautiful makeup, but make sure to schedule a trial and be honest with the artists! Their “signature” is definitely not for anyone looking for a natural look. My artist was newer to the company, and admitted to not knowing how to do wedding hair very well, which was less than ideal for me as a bride who ended up not loving the hair/makeup after it was done. Their social media shows wonderful work, but in hind sight, I should have contacted the company and requested a different artist after my trial.

I feel so fortunate to have had Makiaj do my hair and makeup, bridesmaids' hair and makeup, and my mom's hair and makeup on my wedding day! They traveled to our venue, brought additional lighting, and created a timeline to ensure everything stayed on track. Danielle did my hair and makeup for my trial and wedding day, and to say I felt beautiful would be an understatement. We received SO many compliments on our hair and makeup! Not only was her work incredible, but Danielle is also extremely kind and professional. We couldn't have asked for a better team!! I am forever grateful.

Everyone was AMAZING. I got married on Black Friday and had a large group of girls (including moms) that needed full hair and makeup. My bridesmaids looked stunning and everyone including myself was ready with time to spare. This beautiful makeup team came to us at my venue early Friday morning and stayed with me until the final touches were needed. I changed my hairstyle the morning of my wedding because I lost my hair piece and Janet did an amazing job at making sure the look was exactly everything I dreamed of and more. Everyone is very positive and makes sure you feel relaxed and pampered on your special day. I wouldn't trust anyone else but this talented team to make my girls and I look our best for the big day. I absolutely LOOOVED my make up. Sandy was the person who worked with me. Let me tell you one thing, I was amazed that by the end of the night I still had lipstick on! I never had to re-touch. And my skin was never oily. My wedding ended at 2am, there was a lot of dancing!! I am so glad I chose Makiaj Beauty for my wedding day :)

I am so happy I went with Makiaj Beauty!!! My experience with them was excellent, from start to finish! I am a WOC and I was a little worried finding a MUA, I wanted to make sure that I could work with a MUA that was familiar with my skin tone and knew what colors and techniques would work best. I did a lot of research and finally decided to reach out to Makiaj Beauty. I had my makeup trial with Marlene about a month before my wedding, she was such a pleasure to work with! She was very patient and attentive and she was able to help create the look I was going for. I hired Makiaj Beauty for most of my bridal party (6 out of the 8 of them) along with my mom and aunt. They glammed all of my girls up and I was so pleased to hear that everyone was happy with their looks! It was really impressive. They are very professional and they stick to a strict timeline and schedule. All of my bridesmaids, (all eight of them!) were glammed up and ready to go well before the ceremony started. This team has truly mastered their craft and they have a solid formula down, which is why I felt so comfortable working with them on my big day. Marlene was really amazing, my makeup was on point, and I still looked true to self. Just a very glammed up version! :) She was so awesome, she talked to me and joked with me, we listen to music, and I felt at such ease whiile she was glamming me up. I honestly felt so comfortable and at ease getting ready that day, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. They even give you a touch up kit to have throughout your wedding day. They've crossed all their Ts and dotted all of their Is. We hired Makiaj to do hair and makeup for the bride and six other girls. Marlene and two other artists were extremely friendly, professional and organized. They showed up on time, set up quickly, and stayed until they made sure everyone looked great, even with a second event to go to afterward! My hair and makeup lasted all night, despite a ton of (happy) tears and dancing! The touch-up pouch was a nice addition. Thank you, Marlene!

All the girls at Makiaj are AMAZING. Marlene was the artist for my wedding and Pooja and Vanessa for my engagement shoot. Every time I’ve walked out of that studio I felt gorgeous and glamorous. What these ladies can do is some kind of sorcery. My photos all turned out beautiful because of their beauty skills. I’ll certainly be back whenever I need to be done up for a big occasion!

Vanessa made me feel beautiful on my wedding day! She is very patient and understanding and never made me feel like a bridezilla. It was important for me to find someone that did both hair and makeup for a one stop shop. Vanessa mastered both! I was very happy with the final look. I would highly recommend her and her team. By the way, the studio I went to for my trial was gorgeous! Everyone there is so friendly.

Pooja is an amazing make-up artist & hair stylist. I looked flawless for all 4 of my wedding events and each look was tailored to meet my exact vision. She really listened to what I was looking for and exceeded my expectations. I could not have picked a better person to do my hair and make-up for my wedding!! Makiaj from the start made sure I got exactly what I wanted for my wedding day. My hair and makeup was flawless and I got exactly what I asked for. All of my girls looked beautiful too. The only thing is I cried and it actually made a line down my cheek but foundation helped cover it up so just make sure you have backup because it is not waterproof!

Rafaela was amazing with my hair and makeup for the wedding. She was so good I want her to travel just to used her again. She was great with all the kids and the maid of honor. I will use them again for another event.

Pooja and Vanessa are absolute ROCK STARS! I found them online and was so impressed with their portfolios. I scheduled a trial, where I met them both and some of their team. They are as kind as they are talented and we had a great trial. They had another wedding scheduled for the same day as mine, but made some magic happen and did both weddings, which I was so thrilled with. For mine, they did 5 bridesmaids, my mom, my mother in law, my two flower girls and me. Pooja, Sami and Christina were on time, professional, fun and made everyone look like a million bucks. Where do I begin?? I was in town and had one day to do my wedding hair and makeup trial with Pooja. Turns out the AC broke in the studio in the middle of summer, and what did she do? She improvised and we went to her nearby residence to do the trial. That was the first thing that let me know she was truly unique. She welcomed me into her own home and made it work! She was so pleasant to work with throughout the whole process. Not only was she down to earth and fun, but her hair and makeup skills are out of this world! She made me look like the best version of ME. I can’t even begin to describe how talented Pooja and her team are. I was worried about my husband not liking makeup on me day of the wedding because he’s not used to it…but she seriously works magic and he was speechless when he saw me. Pooja and Vanessa did such a wonderful job making me feel beautiful and relaxed all weekend. They were always on time (which was not easy to do when your wedding is at 7AM!) and made sure that I wasn't stressing about anything going on outside of getting pampered. Thanks to Pooja, my hair and makeup was perfect on my wedding day! I think she could make anyone feel like a movie star. At the same time, I also felt like I still looked like myself, which is not always the case when you're wearing a lot of makeup. I had a couple ladies in my wedding party who don't usually wear makeup at all, and Pooja helped them look beautiful but natural. I found Pooja Mehta Makeup & Hair on Pinterest about a year before my wedding. I fell in love at first sight of her work! I hired her immediately to do makeup and hair for my wedding (10.10.15). During the bridal trials Pooja was very patient, warm, and funny. I knew that this would be the one aspect of my wedding that I would not need to be worried about, and sure enough I wasn't! I was to have my hair and makeup done, my two sisters, two friends, and mom were to have their makeup done. We ended up needing to have one of my sisters and mom's hair done. Both were at the very last minute and luckily Pooja and Vanessa were able to fit it in. Pooja and Vanessa arrived to the wedding site exactly on time. Both set up immediately and went to work. They were the epitome of calmness and professionalism, yet connected to everyone and had some good laughs. Pooja noticed that I was very nervous about the wedding and she would occasionally check in with me and then go back to work. I so appreciated her skill and empathy. After everyone was done we were all in awe of ourselves and each other; we looked amazing! Everyone's makeup and hair stood up to crying, dancing, a hot day and night, and fun. Love this woman! Her work is amazing!!! My bridesmaids and I were so happy with how the makeup turned out. On top of all that, it was such a pleasure to have her there to be a part of my day. Pooja is one of the most talented make up and hair artists I have ever come across. I found her on the Knot and by her pictures and website I decided to give her a try. She immediately responded to my email via phone and we were able to chat and go over all of the details. I immediately felt like she would be a great vendor to work with and she was strictly to the point and down to business. When I flew to Phoenix for my trial I was BLOWN AWAY by her ability to make someone look flawless. She puts so much effort and knowledge into each person and time to make things perfect! My wedding day was even better. She arrived early to do my mom and I but had 3 other talented girls come to do 10 other people in my bridal party. THEY WERE ON POINT! I continue to get so many comments about how amazing my make up and hair was and they continue to ask who my artist was. Pooja did an amazing job doing my makeup and my bridesmaids makeup! I loved how I looked on my wedding day! I was able to do a trial make up session with Pooja to see how my makeup would look on my big day. She made me feel very comfortable and answered all of my questions. I used Pooja for hair and makeup for my May 25th wedding. As I was planning long distance, I never actually met Pooja until my wedding day, or did a trial run with her. Pooja and I communicated for months on what I wanted for my look, and she was always prompt and responsive. She happily sent me extra photos of her work, and by the time my wedding came, I had no qualms about working with her. I can honestly say she did a spectacular job- I looked and felt incredible, and I received so many compliments on both my hair and makeup. She uses super high quality products, and my makeup - including my eyes after tons of crying - was fully intact by the end of the night. My photographer was even blown away by how great the makeup looked on camera. I had considered doing my makeup myself, and I'm so, so glad I trusted Pooja instead. She's a gem!

Not only does Pooja have incredible talent (she made me look like a magazine super model!), she is extremely down to earth, personable, and generous with her time (my wedding was on her birthday!). At our initial consult she actively listened to what I wanted and the vision I had of a natural, classic, semi-formal look; she shared her opinions and suggestions which I felt comfortable taking or leaving. At first I was concerned that we were not doing a 'practice session' but my fears were waylaid by her assurances and confidence. On my wedding day Pooja was prompt and had me ready by the specified completion time. She helped me feel at ease and made sure I was comfortable and satisfied with the results; at first I was a bit shocked to see so much makeup since I hardly ever wear any at all, but as I really looked at myself I saw that it was perfect. I enjoyed working with her and adored my look so much that I've been trying to think up another fabulous event that would require her services!
