Wow wow wow!! I can’t sing Boston Quincy Marriott enough praises. My story is unique, but everything ended up being for the best. My initial venue canceled on my 72 hours before my wedding. We were scrambling. The Marriott happened to have an available ballroom and event booking available. Within 1 hour of what I thought was an impossible scenario, we had a new venue. I had the pleasure of working with Meg, the catering director and Maggie, our event manager. I wish I was able to work with them longer because they were amazing!!! They were so understanding and empathetic to our situation. They did their best to match what my original venue was giving, which they did and then some!! The perks of having our wedding here made the whole experience worth it. We got a suite, space for groomsmen to get ready in day of, a space for an after party at their restaurant, access to their outdoor patio and so much more.
The food was incredible!! We had the salmon, short ribs, grilled chicken and a cous cous platter. We got a pasta station during cocktail hour which was a huge hit as well as a cheese platter!!
Maggie sat down with us and reviewed our original plan: decorations, seating chart, day of timeline and she made sure that it all went according to plan. The Marriott gave us a space to store our decorations the night before as well.
The communication was impeccable. Meg and Maggie each ensured we had a reliable way to communicate with them.
We initially were having our wedding in the heart of Boston. We had saved and saved for our wedding and did it the most budget friendly way we could. When they canceled on us, I truly thought we’d just have to call it off and head to the courthouse. When my sister contacted Marriott and they asked what we paid, they were able to give us a ceremony space, an open bar for the duration of our event, 3 entrees 5 passed hors d’oeuvres, a dessert table, 6 hour event, an after party, a suite for 2 nights and incredible hospitality.
I’m positive that anyone looking for a wedding venue will be doing it with more than 2 days notice so I can only imagine what this hotel will be able to do for you. Your wedding will be one of the best days in your relationship and getting married here will ensure a beautiful day, rain or shine. They have packages in a wide budget range and can easily accommodate small or large guest lists. They have connections with other vendors such as DJs and bakeries if you’re looking for those suggestions as well. Above all, the people here will make your day as special as it deserves to be.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough for a wedding. In hindsight, I wish I had worked with them from the beginning!

We had our NYE wedding at the Marriott and it was awesome. The hotel is extremely impressive looking both inside and out. The food was great, and the service the night of was phenomenal. We worked with Krista and she helped us plan our dream wedding. She even offered us discounts on draping. 5 stars.

This was a terrible choice for our room block, if you can avoid it then please do! They were rude and unaccommodating the entire time. I booked in January for an October wedding and I experienced 4 different event coordinators and had to fill out four separate sets of paperwork. The night of our wedding we misplaced our key and the concierge, his name was Tony, was extraordinarily rude and forced me to have someone verify my identity despite having my ID and me having him look up my wedding block. The
Manager on duty refused to apologize for his behavior and we were treated with hostility by her as well. This was by far the worst part of my wedding experience avoid it if you can!!

I am so incredibly happy we chose to do our wedding at the Quincy Marriott. After helping my sister-in-law do a DIY wedding, I knew I wanted to go the complete opposite way. The Marriott handled EVERYTHING for us. Meredith S. was absolutely incredible to work with. I had a family emergency the week of the wedding, and without Meredith, I don't know what I would have done. She took care of everything I needed her to and was just an absolute go-getter when it came to our wedding. I'm looking forward to going back on our 1 year anniversary next year and thanking Meredith in person. I highly recommend working with the Quincy Marriott for your wedding! The ballroom was breathtaking and everyone had so much fun and got to stay in the hotel after. Loved everything about it!

My husband at I stayed at the Boston Marriott Quincy and hosted a few wedding related events recently. The rooms are a good size. My bridesmaids and I got ready in one room, and it comfortably fit 7 people the morning of the wedding as we got hair and make-up done. We had to request a few extra chairs and these were brought up to the room right away. The rehearsal dinner was also in the Hancock Restaurant. The food was amazing and I am still dreaming about their alfredo sauce. The breakfast buffet the next morning was equally as good. It had so many food choices and we spent the whole morning there greeting our guests as they came down. One more plus was a full menu Starbucks in the lobby in the morning.
We also had a block of guests rooms, and there was always someone available to answer any questions that I had. When we didn’t have enough breakfast vouchers for the guests that stayed, it was a simple conversation and a solution was thought of within a few minutes.
We hosted an after party there after the wedding as well. I really enjoyed working with the staff getting this arranged and again there was always someone available to answer any questions or provide suggestions when I was unsure. However, this was not as well planned as I had hoped. We didn’t have an area sectioned off, so when I arrived it was just 4 tables that had been reserved in the middle of the room and the food took more than 1 hour after the after party started to get out to the tables. The food was good, but it was not as organized as I thought it would be given the conversations I had with the staff there.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience staying at this hotel (the beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept and I have thought about getting the same bed in my own home!), and hosting events at the Boston Quincy Marriott.

My husband and I recently used the Boston Marriott Quincy for our hotel block for our wedding in September. Overall it was a good experience working with them. The only downside was that our point of contact changed a few times throughout the process, so it was difficult getting answers to questions at the beginning. However, by the time the wedding rolled around things really improved. The hotel was clean, staff was really nice and it provided a good spot for folks to get together after the wedding. Only downside is the bar closes fairly early. We also hosted a brunch there the following morning, which they were very accommodating. They were also really great about keeping us up to date on where we stood in terms of filling our room block as the wedding drew closer. Compared to other hotels in the Quincy/South Shore area, The Marriott really is the nicest one with the best accommodations.

This hotel provided excellent accommodations for the guests before and during my wedding weekend! Our Event Manager, Amanda, was great at responding to my questions, adding rooms to our room block and forwarding me a list of booked rooms every time I asked for the entire year leading up to our wedding. She also let us extend our room block to add a day when guests stared booking an extra day that we hadn't anticipated. During the weekend of the wedding, the hotel was great about letting guests check in early to get ready before the ceremony. After the reception, the hotel was very accommodating about letting guests hang out at the bar and then later on the patio well into the night. The guests that chose to go to sleep weren't bothered at all because the hotel has strict rules about noise on the upper guest floors and you can't hear any noise from the patio from the rooms, even the ones overlooking it. Also, there was an especially kind concierge, I think her name was Shavon (I'm so sorry if I spelled that wrong!), that went out of her way to be helpful to me and to all of my guests and a very kind/awesome security guard whose name keeps escaping me. I would book this hotel again in a heartbeat! Thank you for making our guests stays so comfortable and enjoyable!

Look no further, I PROMISE you will not be disappointed. This place is amazing, honestly my castle on the hill. From our first meeting to the breakfast buffet the day after our wedding, EVERYTHING was perfect. We had an outdoor wedding on the patio and it was landscaped to absolute perfection. Our wedding coordinator Meg Garruto was amazing to work with. Everyone at the hotel was so so so nice and accomodating! Almost 3 weeks later and guests are still commenting on how good the filet was :-)

We had our reception at the Marriott on 9.28.13 and I really have to say we had a great experience. Using a hotel really does have perks especially the customer service aspect. From the event coordinator down to the wait staff, everyone was extremely kind and helpful. All of our requests were met with a smile. Their prices were not the most cost effective but having our wedding at a hotel so our guests could easily stay over and not have to pay for the transportation between venue and a local hotel was worth it. Our guests raved about the great rooms, the location, the food and the overall experience. Our wedding ended at 10:30 which is early, so we coordinated with the bar across the lobby to have pizza served and host the after party. One of the draw backs is the hotel is a very public area. The bathrooms are shared with the lobby guests or other events that night as well as the bar. If you don't mind socializing with everyone there (we didn't mind) you have nothing to worry about! I really enjoyed the one stop shop aspect of the wedding planning. They coordinated the cake, working with my florist, my band manager and I never had to deal with any of it and I didn't have to pay for a wedding planner! If you want a stress free wedding this is the place! Good luck!

This wedding venue is outstanding. The cost is actually reasonable compared to so many other places. The staff on the day of my wedding could not have been more wonderful. I literally cannot say enough great things about the whole planning process with the Quincy Marriott. The room looked gorgeous and the food was great!! The quincy marriott is so willing to work with your specific wants and needs so you have the perfect wedding day.

We had our ceremony and reception at the Long Wharf and I am so glad we did. Although I was little nervous about the busy carpet in the small ballroom upstairs, I looked past it and found creative ways to work around it when picking our colors and decor. The staff was so wonderful, particularly our wedding coordinator, Sonja Perman. Our ceremony and reception both went exactly as planned and I was a very happy and relaxed bride as a result. The food was delicious and our guests were really impressed with our unique menu (the chef tailored the menu to our tastes and fall wedding). The renovations the hotel just completed only make the hotel even more beautiful and I would highly recommend this location to any bride.

We held all of our wedding weekend festivities at the Boston Marriott Long Wharf starting Friday night with the rehearsal dinner and ending Sunday morning with the brunch. The ENTIRE staff was a pleasure to work with. I will keep in touch with many of the people who we worked with because from the beginning, we felt as if they were friends who were helping to make the most important weekend in our lives just perfect. We used each of the function rooms for a different purpose and they came out exactly how we wanted!!

Boston Marriott Long Wharf did an absolutely amazing job with our wedding a few weeks ago. I was a bit nervous as a few months into the planning process, our first 2 hotel wedding planners had left but the transition to the new wedding planner (Jessica)and her assistant (Joy) went flawlessly. The entire event management staff and wedding planners were great. They extended room blocks, accommodated our endless requests, and on the day of the wedding, the event (ceremony and reception) went smoothly. The food at the event was GREAT and we still have guests commenting about it (as well as the generous portion sizes for everything). The location is perfect for out-of-town guests and provides for a great outdoor wedding photos on the water. It is fairly reasonable in price comparison to the other hotels in Boston as well. I would highly recommend this hotel to host a wedding ceremony and reception!
