The venue helped relieve a lot of stress. The provided catering, the bar, our table cloths/napkins, chairs & tables. They require a canopy which was super spending, about $2500 if you have 60+ people. The food was mediocre and a bit disappointing: dry and a bit bland. We got the BBQ. Overall, we were pleased with this venue due to all the available amenities! We stayed in the honeymoon suite which had quite a bit room for the bridesmaids to get ready in, too. We wouldn’t have gone with this option if we didn’t have help paying for the venue. Overall was about 14k
The Grand Lodge was the perfect venue for our September wedding. The grounds are amazingly beautiful and offer many different wedding sites to choose from. Its also a full service hotel and spa, which many of our guests took advantage of. Our sales coordinator Armando worked with us from the beginning to the end, keeping my then fiancé and I updated and informed of any changes. He was professional, knowledgeable and made the whole experience of wedding venue planning less stressful. The catering team did a superb job During our reception at the Children’s Cottage . The appetizers were a hit with our guests and the main entrees were exquisitely delicious. Our wedding day was fantastic. Thank you Armando and Grande Lodge team, you are amazing.
Our small, 30 guest wedding was on the Ironworks Patio/Catchings Grove and it was beautiful. We had a laid back vibe and this venue fit our vision perfectly. We worked closely with Armando, who was mostly great. He went above and beyond where it counted. We did have an issue with our bartender throwing a fit at the end of the night and trying to shut the bar down early. he told me he didn’t even want to work our wedding but they were short staffed?? Very rude. They also made us leave 30 minutes early due to noise, no warnings or communication was given about the music being loud (we were competing with a concert they didn’t inform us about). Lastly, we were charged $50 for a game of cornhole that was not provided. When I mentioned this, they claimed it was there and we must have missed it. All in all, it was a good day. I would recommend them, but beware of the crazy bartender!
I could not have asked for a better venue. I'd attended a McMenamins wedding before, but never at the Grand Lodge. The food, drinks, service, and accommodations far exceeded my expectations. Some of my guests even returned later in the summer to stay just for fun! Everything went off smoothly, and our suite was heavenly. I was so nervous about our big day, but I can say now that it really was perfect. My parents stepped in during the final months of planning just as Marcy stepped in as our coordinator, and we were all so impressed with her. I can't say enough good things about this venue and I will always recommend it to other couples in the future.
Catherine made everything easy to get done, loved that it was all inclusive, loved the laid back atmosphere. I also had my hair and make-up done at the Ruby's spa and then got my hair lopped off the next morning. Fantastic experience. Having our wedding and reception at the Grand Lodge in the off-season was much more cost effective and stress-free than any other option in the area would have been, in my opinion. Ruby's spa was spend but totally worth the splurge.
