Meg Brock Photography

So to start, Meg Brock handled my wedding in March 2019. We hired her and a second shooter for 9 hours. We also hired her for an engagement shoot we did prior. Most of these reviews will talk about Meg's photo work, which as you can tell by the samples below is absolutely incredible. Hiring her is worth it for that alone. What I wanted to talk about was her personality and overall experience. From the moment my wife and I met Meg, she was calm, relaxing and assured us about things on our wedding day. With the way our wedding day was scheduled, we had a little over an hour to kill between the ceremony and photos and the reception and it was Meg's seal of approval that gave us the confidence to go bowling on our wedding day, and as dumb as that sounds, it was an absolute blast to take the whole party. Meg's personality -- the calming demeanor I spoke about earlier -- was especially fantastic during the wedding. The bride was late, and it overlapped into time we were supposed to get the photos done in. Even with a priest giving her countdowns on minutes until we had to leave the church, Meg was extremely calm and helped us get all the posed photos we needed at the church. In short, Meg's photos are fantastic and are worth everything, but it's her demeanor on our wedding day that sets her apart from other photographers you could potentially hire.

Meg has amazing talents and I feel so fortunate to have had her as our wedding photographer. Having a wedding photographer who is passionate, professional, and daring was important to us. Not only was the photographer all of these things, but Meg's energy is soothing on a day that could easily be hectic. Meg did a perfect job of documenting this day and is certainly an expert in capturing all the feelings and important moments.

My husband and I (and our dog, Ajax!) were delighted to work with Meg on three separate occasions in 2017 – engagement photos, a small Hindu wedding, and a large western wedding. Meg is absolutely incredible and I look forward to calling her again and again in the coming years for family pictures and special occasions. From our first phone call to receiving prints and thumb drives of our images (beautifully packaged), working with Meg was a pleasure. She is professional, responsive, detail-orientated, and easy going. Meg is a great listener, but will also provide helpful direction and suggestions (I’m so glad I listened to these – her creativity produced my favorite images framed in our home). She is a pro and handles the stress of families and weddings with ease. Meg is constantly engaged, and always made me feel like her top priority. She is fun to talk to and made me and my family feel comfortable; Meg felt like a member of the family during our wedding. Most importantly, however, Meg takes the most beautiful images. When I look back at our wedding and engagement photos, I feel Meg truly captured the character of each day. We found Meg’s pricing to be very reasonable, but I would have paid so much more given the quality of the photos we received and the overall experience. We have since recommended Meg over and over. Meg’s photos are exquisite. Her work simply speaks volumes. On top of that, she is such a joy to be around. Her kindhearted, gentle spirit mixed with a sharp, professional approach to her work made my husband and I feel completely at ease from the get-go. She is a master at her craft and each photo tells a story. I was just looking through my wedding photos and smiling from ear to ear (maybe tearing up a little too!). Trust me when I say, you won’t regret hiring her. <3

I knew before I even got engaged that I wanted Meg to do my wedding when the time came. Meg shot our engagement session and our wedding. The wedding was on 6/26/15, and Meg and her assistant Ashley did an incredible job. As weddings can be stressful, Meg just knew how to create a calm environment and my husband and I enjoyed every moment. We couldn't be more pleased with Meg's work - she captured everything beautifully and our guests were particularly happy with the varying photos she shot of them. Meg, thank you again and again for your talented work! We still look back at our pictures often and we are so grateful we had you capture our big day!

Meg photographed our wedding on 5/14/16. She and her assistant, Ashley, are incredibly easy to work with. From the first moment I met her, I knew Meg would be the perfect fit for us. She has a quiet presence but is assertive and really takes control in order to get the best shot. My husband is a little camera shy and even he felt super comfortable all day. Meg is extremely creative and produces beautiful, artistic photographs. We could not be more thrilled with the results! She captured so many touching moments and everyone looks absolutely amazing. The elegant packaging of our photos was also a lovely touch. We highly recommend Meg for any type of event and hope to be able to work with her again someday!

Meg is an amazing photographer and such a wonderful person! She is definitely the type of person you want to have with you on your wedding day. She made us feel at ease the entire time and helped keep everyone relaxed. She worked with us to create a timeline that helped the day go smoothly and made sure that everyone stayed on track. Our pictures turned out absolutely beautiful and so much better than we could have ever imagined. Her and her assistant (Ashley) were able to capture every perfect moment without being intrusive. Even my husband, who does not like posing for pictures, felt comfortable working with Meg and did not once feel like anything was forced. We are so thankful we found Meg to document our day and would highly recommend her to anyone!

Meg was incredible and handled our outdoor spring wedding with ease despite a brief rain storm, she had a game plan and made us embrace the weather! We love all of our pictures and will never regret using Meg!

Meg was so professional, down to earth, and astute. She made my husband and I feel comfortable in front of the camera, which we were a bit nervous about. We were so happy that she was our photographer!

Meg went above and beyond with what we could have imagined. We had a unique situation where it was pouring rain for our outdoor wedding and meg saved the day. She found a great inside location with perfect lighting and the photos came out perfect. She even had us go outside later when the rain died down and the photos were breathtaking! I cannot say enough about how accommodating and responsive she was throughout the whole wedding process.

As soon as my husband and I got engaged I knew exactly who I wanted our photographer to be for our wedding. Meg photographed my best friend's wedding 2 yrs prior and we were so impressed. Not only is Meg wonderful to work with, she is so creative and unique. The first time we met with Meg, we knew that photography was her passion! Even tho our wedding day was not beautiful and sunny, Meg made sure we still were able to take some amazing pictures. The few preview pictures (that we took out in the pouring rain!), look absolutely stunning!! We can't wait to see the rest of Meg's photos from our special day! My wife and I had a unique situation where we needed to capture some incredibly precious moments and we only had a limited amount of time. Meg dropped everything to come and capture this incredibly special time, even waiting for an extended period of time as events unfolded. She is an amazing individual and is incredibly kind, compassionate, and gentle. Even in the chaos of everything going on around us, she calmly took the pictures and made recommendations, all the while allowing us time to enjoy our moment. The photographs she took are absolutely stunning, the way she uses the light in such a beautiful manner brings so much to the pictures. The time that we had was limited, yet she took so many precious photographs and captured so many moments that when we saw the final results, we were speechless. I don't know what else to say other than - she is amazing. She is a gifted photographer but also a wonderful individual. She is incredibly easy to work with, you don't just have a photographer - you build a friendship. She is incredibly responsive and guides you through the process in a way that ensures your desires are met but in a manner that allows her to capture your special time in a beautiul way. Meg is an amazing photographer and person! She made it so easy to get in contact with her and when first met, and we clicked right away. Her previous profession as a nurse (I am a nurse as well) assured me that she would not only be a talented photographer, (as I had seen in her online portfolio) but that she also would have the critical thinking skills and calming energy I might need if things got stressful on my wedding day. We opted for an engagement photo shoot, and we are SO thrilled that we did. It gave us the opportunity to get to know Meg while she got to know us! The whole time we felt comfortable; Meg was high energy and the creativity in her photos was exactly what we were looking for. The photos were amazing, and she really helped our personalities come through. Leading up to the wedding she stayed in touch with us and kept us informed (even emailing me a schedule which I forwarded to my wedding party, because frankly Meg knew more about weddings than I did!). On the day of my wedding I was really nervous and dealing with some difficult family dynamics. Meg took it all in stride and was a support person for my husband and me. She was flexible when the weather was too hot for the sweating groom, and also when we needed to re-arrange family photo-ops. She was present when I wanted her to be and she blended into the hustle and bustle when I wanted to focus on family and friends. When we got a sneak peek of our photos I could not wait to see more! They turned out better than I could have dreamed. I felt great on my wedding day but she made me look so much better than I thought I could look! I am so grateful that I found Meg, and I recommend her to everyone that I can!
