I cannot thank Victoria enough for everything she did for us. She was amazing every step of the way even when I asked a million questions. my wedding was everything I could have ever wanted and more!

I knew that this was the perfect place for our wedding from the moment that we had our initial visit. Victoria was very helpful and accommodating during the entire planning process. Our guests raved about the food, staff and facility. Victoria and her team made our wedding easy so that we could enjoy the day and I wouldn’t change a thing!

I had my baby shower here in June. It's a beautiful hidden gem of a place. I got so many compliments on how beautiful the place was. Victoria was great to work with and very accommodating as was all the staff. Everyone was very helpful. I highly recommend this place for any event!

My son had the perfect wedding reception here. Beautiful venue, excellent food and the best bartender and staff. They were very attentive to our wants and everything went without a hitch. The owner was friendly, professional and was never without a smile. Will definitely use this venue for other special occasions. Book this venue and you will have the perfect gathering. Best decision we could have made! Not only is the venue gorgeous, and perfectly sized for our wedding of 100 guests, but Victoria was super easy to work with, the venue's pricing is reasonable, all the staff was professional and treated our guests well! Food was amazing, impressed even more so when the chef came out to personally check to be sure we were happy with everything and congratulate us. Highly recommended!!

We had the PERFECT Wedding at Merlot on the water. Victoria was organized and professional. She understood our vision for our special day and even provided advice when asked. Chef Carl whipped up some amazing dishes that still have our guests talking to this day. The staff and bartenders provided prompt and courteous service. You won’t be disappointed at Merlot on the water! 😍😍

We have only wonderful things to say about Merlot! Victoria made our day amazing! We had problems with other vendors and Victoria went out of her way to help us! She created a package with us to fit our budget, she was flexible and accommodating, and she put up with our billions of questions throughout the two year planning process. The grounds are beautiful, the food is phenomenal, and having a bridal suite and groom's suite was sooo convenient. We would use Merlot again in a heartbeat! Our wedding day was magical here.

My husband and I would recommend Merlot on the Water to anyone for their wedding. Everyone had wonderful things to say about the venue, the price was reasonable, the food was amazing, and the backdrop of the pond was everything we had hoped for. We planned our wedding from California, so we were looking for a venue where we wouldn't have to do much in terms of finding catering, finding a wedding planner, etc... Victoria was a wonderful help in our planning process, and everything was taken care of for us. In addition, because they only hold one wedding a per day, we felt like we had a lot of special attention for our wedding because it was the only focus. We were also able to come in a few days before our wedding to bring things in and practice our first dance on the dance floor. Victoria was amazing in every way, and we feel like the venue really helped make our day perfect.

This venue is a hidden gem! The owner, Victoria, is amazing! She calmed all my pre-wedding jitters and was readily available when needed. They are affordable and the food is amazing! Chef Carl did such a great job with all our food. Highly recommended and if I could do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing!

My husband and I were so happy with our venue choice. Everything was perfect and Victoria made everything seem so simple and easy! The venue was stunning, the food was delicious, and our ceremony was beyond perfect. I recommend that everyone take a look at this venue before making a final decision. Definitely worth it!!!

I got married at Merlot on the Water in September, and could not have asked for a more perfect wedding day! Victoria was wonderful and organized from our first meeting to tour the venue through the entire wedding planning process. The venue is absolutely beautiful with a charming outdoor space for ceremony and photos, a gorgeous bridal suite, and a stunning ballroom. Chef Carl and his kitchen staff cooked a delicious dinner that had all our guests raving. He was even very flexible with our request to make all of the entrees gluten-free! We got so many comments on what a wonderful place we picked for our wedding and everyone had a great time. Not a single bad thing I could say. I highly recommend Merlot on the Water to any couples looking for a wedding venue!!!

We held our wedding at the Merlot in October 2014 and could not have asked for a more beautiful, intimate setting and excellent service from all the staff at the venue. The food was fantastic and the drinks service was excellent. Chef Carl is an absolute delight! All of our guests are still raving about the venue, a hidden gem in Broad Brook, CT. The bridal suites upstairs are charming and I felt so relaxed and happy getting ready with my bridesmaids. My husband was just as happy downstairs in the groom's area with his groomsmen. We both loved the entire day, we wish it could have lasted longer! Victoria is an absolute pleasure to work with, she makes the entire wedding process super easy and stress free! Our tables looked stunning for the reception and the ceremony setting, whether inside or outside is just lovely against the backdrop of the milll pond, perfect for photos. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Merlot on the Water. We fell in love with the venue as soon as we visited with Victoria, Chef Karl, and Melissa. They are extremely flexible, down to Earth, and wonderful people. The outdoor ceremony location is beautiful in the back yard. They have wonderful landscaping and the pond in the back is a perfect setting. The reception hall is beautifully refinished hardwood with a stunning chandelier in the center of the dance floor. Plenty of room for smaller guest lists (we had 75 guests very comfortably). The staff are very friendly and professional. Chef Karl is an amazing chef, he uses fresh organic foods and cooks in batches so that everything is fresh and hot when served. His care and love of cooking shines through and the food was all amazing. Victoria is a great event coordinator and manager of Merlot. She is very professional and easygoing. Always available to answer questions and willing to work with you for your pricing needs. We loved working with everyone at Merlot. Another great thing about the venue is that they only do one event per day, so we were able to leave our dresses in the bridal suite early in the morning while we did our hair/makeup, then come back to get ready, do pictures before the ceremony etc. There is also a groom's suite for the men to hang out in. Overall, I highly, highly recommend any event at Merlot on the Water!

I had my wedding reception at Merlot on the Water in the beginning of January. Everything went beautifully and I could not have asked for a better reception venue. As I live in the DC area and was getting married in Connecticut where my family was based, I was not able to meet with Victoria (the owner at Merlot) in person until the actual wedding. She was incredibly wonderful to work with and was very understanding of my situation. She worked closely with my mother yet kept me informed throughout the entire process. The venue was beautiful. All the guests had only great things to say. The food was fantastic and they made sure to cater to me (vegetarian). The price was incredibly reasonable as well. I also loved that the venue was all to ourselves. A lot of places are event rooms attached to restaurants and such where guests have to share bathrooms with restaurant guests etc..However at Merlot, the place is just an event venue so we had it all to our own. I would definitely suggest Merlot on the Water for any event that you might have.

I highly recommend Merlot on the Water for a wedding venue. My husband and I were married in the back yard by the pond. It's a very pretty, quaint spot and a great place for pictures. The reception was inside the facility. It's very pretty and seats 150 people with enough room for your guests to get in some good dancing. The food quality is top notch..from appetizers to the main course. Wait staff were nice, efficient, and ready to serve our guests. Bartenders were quick and no one had to wait long for a drink. The owner Victoria Kuhns was extremely helpful in putting our wedding together. We are so grateful we picked this spot!!

Merlot on the Water is the BEST place to have any type of reception. My husband and I got married on Friday, April 12, 2013. We started our venue search back in March of 2012. We looked at a few places, but Merlot on the Water was by far our top choice. Why you may ask? Because it is not a production line. It is one reception per day. You do not share the venue with any other party. If you are looking for an intimate setting in which you don't feel like just another party, Merlot on the Water is the place for you. Victoria (the coordinator) and Chef Karl (the chef) were so fabulous to work with. Each of them took time to talk with us and make us feel comfortable in our decision. When we first popped into Merlot on the Water, it was on a spur of the moment. Victoria warmly welcomed us and gave us a lot of information about this venue. It wasn't too long after that that we signed our contract and started planning! On our wedding day, the reception went on without a glitch. Everything came out absolutely perfect and we were so pleased with how professional and well organized the night was. If you are looking for that quaint type of venue, please check out Merlot on the Water. It is unlike any other place that we had looked at and has very reasonable prices.

My experience at Merlot on the Water was amazing from start to finish. Chef Karl gave me a personal tour one weekend when I was just driving by to check the place out. Victoria (owner and wedding coordinator) was amazing in helping me stick to my budge and create the table settings and menu of my dreams. The rehearsal and wedding day itself went off without a hitch. I am so happy that I chose Merlot on the Water, I highly recommend them for hosting a wedding or any special event!

I was somewhat happy with Merlot on the Water. My wedding was amazing and went off perfectly, but I wasn't too impressed with the coordinator at Merlot on the Water. She was never at the venue and I would often have to email her twice before she would respond to my emails. However the day ran pretty smoothly. I also found the food to be mediocre, however we did not do a tasting, nor did they offer one though.

They did the best job on my wedding they made sure everything was perfect!
