Mezcali is a mezcal and tequila bar in New York City, offering a unique venue experience for weddings, rehearsal dinners, and other special events. This vibrant eatery is the brainchild of two best friends from Southern California, who grew up skateboarding, exploring the world around them, and eating the best Cali-Mex food together. They became inspired to bring a little of the Mexican Cantina experience to the heart of Manhattan, and so Mezcali was born. Today, the restaurant welcomes diners to its Financial District location, where an authentic. soulful, and memorable dining experience awaits.
Mezcali's décor is the definition of rustic meets modern, with bricked walls and luxury furnishings creating an ambiance of peace, relaxation, and connection. The restaurant's expansive dining area can easily accommodate events of all styles and guest lists, with buy-out options available for very large gatherings. Couples will work with the team to design a bespoke catering menu for their celebration, bringing the best of Cali-Mex cuisine to their guest's dinner plates. From delicious tacos to enchilada sharing platters, every dish is crafted to the highest standards of quality, taste, and flavor.
As a popular mezcal and tequila bar, Mezcali is one of the Financial District's premier destinations for incredible Mexican-inspired beverages. The restaurant's mixologists and bartenders are always happy to help guests find their perfect drink, introducing them to the sweet yet smoky taste of authentic mezcal. Custom cocktail menus are also available, allowing newlyweds to toast to the beginning of married life with their favorite Mezcali beverage.

I read it was a little loud upstairs so we got a table downstairs and it was much quieter. There were still boisterous people, but the music was quieter and there were much less people downstairs. The margaritas were nice, the elotes were yummy...
the brisket tacos were FILLED so I had left overs bc they were so big and the chicken quesadillas were also a very good portion size. i really enjoyed dinner here and it seems like people really enjoy it for the fun atmosphere. It’s definitely not a quiet spot but it’s a really enjoyable and delicious evening. Our server was great as well.

Food is pretty decent and drinks are great. I had the birria dumplings, diablo brisket, and the chicken mole tacos. The dumplings had a cool take on the taco style dumplings and the sauce is more like a gravy than saucy. Chicken mole tacos had ...
great flavor but I personally liked the diablo ones more. The spice had a good kick to it.
For drinks, definitely go with the Santeria if you want something refreshing but not too strong. The cocktail ranch water is also pretty nice but it’s on the stronger side.
Overall, good place to eat and hang if you are around the area.
