She works quickly, very light handed and is so kind in person. She even gives hair growth tips and tricks and has an online shop. I used some of her hair serum for my hair and my hair has grown a few inches. All in all, I am so pleased I was able to cross paths with Mia and now will use her as my regular hairstylist.

he first day that I met Mia via zoom, I was pleasantly surprised because she had a full presentation prepared to show me why she would be the perfect H/MUA for me! She exceeded all of my expectations. She was very professional, organized, upbeat, and kind! I made my decision that night to book with her! We communicated virtually for nearly 6 months. She was always very responsive within a few hours whenever I reached out to her. For my wedding, she travelled from LA to San Diego a day early, booked a room for overnight at the resort to ensure that I had the two separate glam looks that I desired for my welcome social and then on wedding day! She didn’t even charge me extra for that! Even on wedding day during time crunches between events and my rising anxiety, she maintained calmness, which made me feel very secure in her care! She was so attentive to my beauty and personal needs! She even bought me Starbucks twice! I highly recommend her for not only wedding glam, but any major photo shoots or events that you may have and need to look like a true queen! e to pick HMU artists that have experience working on our various textures of hair and skin types. I connected with a handful of different HMU vendors before I came across Mia’s profile on Instagram/The Knot. From our first interaction over the phone to my wedding day, Mia exceeded my expectations. She was incredibly responsive, organized, and super accommodating. I booked her within 45 days of my wedding; typically it is advised you are booking HMU 6 months to 1 year out to allow time for trials, etc. but she was willing to work with my timeframe, budget, and large bridal party size. I also do not live in the LA so when it came time to do a trial, her team was able to accommodate me when I arrived to LA a few days before my wedding. In addition, though Mia had a pre-planned trip and would arrive the day before my wedding she made me feel completely confident in her prep and arrival in time for my wedding. Her and her team were able to accommodate 12 ladies hair requests the day of my wedding, doing a phenomenal job even in the midst of our hotel experience power outages a few times during our getting ready process. Highly recommend adding on the Bridal Party Touch Ups package as well! Mia stayed with us 3-4 hours after our getting ready time to help with touching up our hair services. But Mia went over and beyond and even supported with touching up my make-up as I was a Bride who had incredibly watery eyes, so even though she wasn’t my official makeup artists she made sure I felt beautiful in every aspect leading up to walking down the aisle and for that I am truly grateful for!! I promise you will not regret moving forward with having Mia and her team support you in your hair services. Mia is truly an expert in her field but she also helped to take away any and all stress when it came to ensuring me, my bridal party and mom/mother in law were looking our best on my wedding day. Wedding planning is stressful….but when you find the right vendor they should be making your life easier and that is truly what Mia did!!

While I did not take advantage of her bridal hair services, I love that she offered those services if I needed them. I was very nervous about my bridal makeup but Mia relieved those concerns very easily. She was very receptive to the changes I wanted to make after we had our trial run. When wedding day rolled around Mia knocked it out the park. I felt so pretty and my makeup lasted through all my crying and partying. My bridal party was kind of big with 8 people including myself. I had a last minute addition and Mia was able to accommodate the change with no problem. She let me know from the start she would have an additional makeup artist on wedding day to keep us on schedule. Mia and her team were very personable and nice with my bridal party. On wedding day we had an unruly bridesmaid who threw off the entire day and Mia and her team handled the situation with class and grace. Aside from that hiccup, my bridesmaids makeup came out so nice. Mia and her team did a wonderful job highlighting the beauty of each and every one of my bridesmaids. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and would recommend Mia Mo Styles, especially if you’re looking for an artist with experience working on Black and POC faces.

nd Mia’s profile on the knot. After our first consultation I was relieved to know Mia was a stylist that specialized in natural hair. She was so easy to talk to and had great input. Her “ look book “ meeting was SO professional and she was so patient while we went over all the ideas and prices. Communication was clear and easy during the months leading up to my wedding. On the morning of she was flexible with adding services for a couple of my bridesmaids that decided last minute they needed help with a style. My hair was AMAZINGLY beautiful and just what we discussed. I opted for extensions and Mia took care of ordering and prepping those for me which made the day of run so smooth. Mia styled me perfectly and stayed until the last minute I needed her to place my veil. I would recommend her to any girl that needs styling for their special day.
