I had a great experience at Modern Bride and found my dream dress! There were so many beautiful ones to choose from and my stylist helped me narrow down a top 3 as we tried on dress after dress. This helped keep me focused and really decisive. She made me feel comfortable and confident and stayed a bit past closing to make sure we found THE dress. After driving 3 hours to get here, we really appreciated it and were thankful for the whole process! We will be back for the groom attire and groomsmen! My mom also found her MOB dress! Overall amazing appointment :)

Debbie was incredibly patient, knowledgeable and never rushed me through the process. She began the appointment with pulling a variety of selections, all within my budget, which was greatly appreciated! Near the end of the appointment, I felt like I may have found the one but wanted to come back in a few days to try it on again, Debbie quickly agreed, even offered to stay late to accommodate my work schedule. This level of dedication can be hard to find, and it truly made all the difference! Finding the perfect wedding dress is often considered one of the most daunting aspects of wedding planning. Especially when you are already on a time crunch (4 months til wedding). Thanks to Hannah at Modern Bride, it became one of the highlights of my experience! From the moment I walked through the doors, Hannah’s warm welcome and keen eye for style made me feel both special and at ease. Her patience and dedication shone through every step of the way, from carefully listening to my preferences to offering valuable fashion advice. When I finally saw myself in “the dress,” I felt an overwhelming sense of joy and certainty. The magic of that moment wouldn’t have been possible without Hannah’s incredible support and expertise. Modern Bride had the best selection of dresses that were high quality and worked within my budget. I actually had 3 dresses I loved making the decision hard but ultimately I’m so happy with the dress I picked and never once regretted it. If you’re in the New Hampshire/Vermont/Massachusetts area you HAVE to go to Modern Bride & Formal Shop. I went to several locations (Madeleine’s Daughter in Portsmouth, Marry and Tux in Nashua) and I had great experiences there, but Modern Bridal just blew it out of the water. The staff was unbelievably accommodating, making it very easy for two brides to be assisted and styled. Hanna was BRILLIANT. I discussed my style with her and what I was looking for in a wedding dress and she pulled the most beautiful pieces. I swear she knows me better than I know myself. I had an idea of what I wanted to wear on my wedding day and she found several dresses that fit that bill and also took chances by showing me similar styles that I could be interested in. And she was right! I said yes to the dress in one that I would’ve likely passed over on the rack. But then I put it on and I knew it was the one. I thought that might be silly, the “aha” moment where a dress is just PERFECT. Well, Modern Bride gave me that moment. All of the staff was very kind, greeting my party and myself at the door with warm smiles. They were very knowledgeable about seamstresses, tailors, steaming, pressing, transportation, and more when it came to the dress. Additionally, the bonuses that come with purchasing a dress from this store are not to be forgotten. There are deals on tux rentals for grooms and groomsmen, discounts on bridesmaid dresses, and my personal favorite- storage until wedding date. These people genuinely cared to make me happy rather than just earn money off of my buying a dress. They were INCREDIBLE!! Please go to Modern Bride. Even if you don’t find THE one, I promise you will leave there feeling like the pampered bride that you are. Another thing, I’m working on a short timeline. My wedding is in less than six months and Hanna found me the perfect dress that would already come in time. She did all of the background work while I was busy gawking at the dress. She made it so easy to find a beautiful dress and understand all of the care that comes with the dress. HANNA YOU ARE THE BEST Also, they have TONS of beautiful bridesmaid dresses at competitive prices. The tuxes come in a wide range of great colors as well, i already showed my fiancé and we’re looking at getting his and his groomsmen their sets from there as well!

I had the BEST time choosing my gown at Modern Bride. My consultant Debbie was amazing to work with. She listened to what I liked/didn't like and helped me work through the different styles until I found the one! I never felt any pressure during the appointment and she was so patient when I was making my decision between my top 2 choices. My family enjoyed her personality and presence as well, I appreciated her so much! The salon itself is beautiful, everyone was friendly.. I cannot say enough positive things about my appointment. The salon has a nice variety of styles and designers, I highly recommend brides make an appointment!

I loved the VIP experience that I had with Modern Bride & Formal Shop! My stylist (Courtney I believe) listened to my wishes and picked dresses in my price range that were a style I would like. I had to try on multiple to find the perfect one but I could see that with each dress she picked she was tailoring them to things I was finding I liked versus things I ended up not liking. I ultimately found my dress and it’s perfect! I’d highly recommend coming here to find the perfect dress for you

Debbie was fantastic!! She did her research before I arrived for my appointment based on the questionnaire sent over at time of booking. She listened to my wants and brought a variety of selections. I trusted her judgment and she brought over some additional styles I was not originally considering, which I ended up saying yes to! I really appreciate how she discussed sizing and budget in private, away from my guests. I did not feel rushed and she did not try to upsell. She was upfront and honest, kind, positive, and patient. I was quite nervous about dress shopping and all my fears left as soon as we started working together! She was very easy to talk to and you can tell she truly enjoys her job. I highly recommend Modern Bride!

I had an amazing experience at Modern! I had tried dresses on at two other bridal shops so I had an idea of what I liked and didn’t like. My stylist listened to me. She brought me things I said I liked and made great suggestions. She knew as soon as I knew that I found “the dress”. Her excitement matched mine and I loved that! She gave wonderful suggestions for bridesmaid colors and MOH dresses. I never felt like she was trying to upsell me (she actually brought over a beautiful $599 dress that was discounted). There were so many dresses to choose from! 🩷 all of the staff were polite, respectful, and uplifting

From the moment I called to make my appointment, the attention to detail was notable, asking all the right questions to make sure my time at the shop would be an efficient one. When I arrived at the shop for my appointment, the staff was warm and welcoming to me and my entourage. A fantastic bridal shop to purchase your wedding gown or MOB dress from. After trying on a bunch of dresses, my consultant knew exactly what would look good on me and pulled it first try. They were so polite, even when I wanted to try my dress on every weekend, and altered my dress perfectly, especially for being a petite bride. My mom also found her dress at Modern Bride and had a fantastic experience as well.

I bought my dress from Modern Bride on 9/25/23. Hanna was my consultant and she was so wonderful. I had an hour and a half appointment starting at 11:00, but didn’t leave until 2:00 because I was trying to make sure my dress was really the one! Hanna never rushed me, let me think out loud what my worries were, and really helped me focus in on the vision of my dress that was in my head. I brought in pictures and Hanna pulled several dresses that exactly fit the pictures. Turns out once they were on me, I wanted something completely different! Hanna didn’t skip a beat, went back to the drawing board and found several new dresses that hit on what I was looking for. She made me feel comfortable while trying on dress after dress, and was so knowledgeable, knowing what questions to ask to truly get at what I liked on one dress compared to another. She remembered what I had said from dress to dress, and picked up on details like when she noticed, “You said you LOVED this one,” or “You said you wished that one had more sparkle.” What finally made me say yes was when she had me close my eyes and said, “Ok, now picture yourself walking down the aisle to your fiancé…” and then the happy tears came– I said, “I guess this is my dress!” Lastly, the dress I finally chose had something I wanted altered, and Hanna confidently knew just who to suggest for that work to get done. (Modern Bride does alterations, but for the specific alteration I wanted, it wasn’t in their realm). Thank you to Modern Bride, and thank you so much to Hanna. My first and only bridal shop I went to, and I can’t wait for my dress to arrive in February!

Such a great experience! I was so anxious going into dress shopping in general and self conscious. My consultant was so friendly and listened to exactly what I wanted, every dress she pulled had what I was looking for! She was patient with me and my family as well and very encouraging and truly made me feel beautiful when I chose my dress! Would recommend them to anyone!

This bridal shop is amazing. I called the day before and they were able to fit me in. I brought in a picture of a dress style I liked and Debbie brought multiple dresses to try on that looked very similar. She was mindful of the budget when selecting dresses. I loved that she kept a top three tally and any dress that did not make the top three she took away. It was exactly what I needed to not get overwhelmed with option and helped me remember my favorites. Debbie is amazing :)

I am an older bride, planning my first wedding with only 4-months to get everything done. I expected to purchase a dress somewhere on the Internet, but I took a chance walking in to Modern Bride to see if they might have some options for me. What an amazing experience! Debbie greeted me kindly and took the time to listen to my story, and then she put a plan in motion. (I had even considered a mother-of-the- bride dress, but Debbie reminded me that I was ‘the bride’ and that I should feel like one on my special day). She assembled several options and worked tirelessly to help me find the right dress….and what a perfect dress we found! I honestly had only expected to walk away with information and some options to consider. Instead, I tried on several dresses, I found ‘the’ dress which has been ordered and my first fitting is already scheduled. Debbie also found me the perfect hair clip that coordinates beautifully with the dress! Other staff members were very kind and supportive and they all shared in my excitement as well. It was a perfect experience - a real dream come true. I would highly recommend Modern Bride…with a genuine shout out of gratitude to Debbie, who today, finally made me feel like ‘the bride.’ ;)

Every time I went to Modern Bride I felt welcomed! The bridal staff and mens wear staff are extremely organized and professional. I bought my dress a year and a half before my wedding, I fell in love with the second dress I tried on! Hannah was so patient and positive during this process. The staff (I don’t remember everyones names, I’m sorry!!) helped coordinate “customization” with the dress designer as well. They also helped “custom” order my dream veil. They have SO many dresses to chose from, and they are reasonably priced. During each fitting, Renee ensured I was fully happy and comfortable with the alterations. The bridesmaids and groomsmen all got their wedding attire from Modern Bride as well. I highly recommend Modern Bride for all of your wedding attire needs!

Got married on 6/17/23. Got my dress from Modern Bride and it was stunning. From the beginning Modern Bride was professional and easy to work with. We scheduled an appointment to try on dresses and all the employees who worked there were friendly and kind. They were able to help me find my dream dress in a short time. They have so many different styles of dresses and are reasonably priced. I also had my dress altered there and they did an excellent job. My dress was stored at their warehouse for over a year which was awesome to know it was clean and in a safe space. The groom and his groomsmen also got their tux's there and it was a simple process. Everything was ready when it was supposed to be and they were a great store to work with. Would recommend Modern Bride and Formal Shop to everyone!

Courtney was an AMAZING consultant!!! She calmed my nerves, actively listened to what I was looking for and provided her expert guidance and feedback. She was kind and patient throughout the appointment with not only myself, but my party as well. When I tried on “the one”, and came out to show everyone, Courtney was just as excited! It truly made the appointment so special and meaningful. I can’t wait for my dream dress to come in! I cannot recommend Courtney high enough - 5 stars does not do her justice!! I cannot say enough good things about Modern Bride & Formal Shop! I worked with Lauren to find my dream wedding dress and it truly was a breeze! Lauren was very attentive, able and willing to search down any dress, and so friendly! Every person in the shop was so kind. I will certainly be coming back for bridesmaid dresses, tux rentals, and a flower girl dress!

I could not have asked for a better experience finding my dream dress for my wedding in March. They offered a range in prices, a huge selection of dresses, alterations at the shop, and the ease of leaving my dress at the shop until my wedding weekend! I went bridal dress shopping at for the first time and had the absolute most amazing experience at Modern Bridal! I worked with Hanna and she was so kind and a great listener to what I wanted in a dress and my insecurities that I would prefer to cover. I tried on 9 dresses total, but hopped back and forth between my top two choice - in total I changed roughly 13 times. She did not pressure me and allowed me the time to figure out what I wanted. I did end up saying “yes to the dress!” And I couldn’t be happier!

I’m so glad to have gone through this bridal shop for my wedding gown. They were extremely sweet and patient with me while looking for the perfect gown! They made alterations so easy and dress pick up as simple as can be. The dress was a dream and I cannot stop looking at pictures! I will recommend this shop for and bridal or formal needs!

This was my first stop in my search for my wedding dress and unfortunately it was not the best introduction to wedding dress shopping. The stylist I was matched with seemed inexperienced and was very timid and quiet, and did not fully understand/listen to the vision I had in mind. I am short and curvy, and the first 5 dresses pulled were so small I looked like a busted can of biscuits, and there was no podium for me to get a better idea of how the gown would fall. Overall I left the shop incredibly disappointed and tanked self-esteem. I gave two stars because a more seasoned stylist stepped in to help and provided some much needed advice.

Modern Bride was the most amazing experience I could have imagined! I went there to “just see” and I fell in love with all 13 gowns that were pulled for me.
