Moments in Time Disc Jockeys

I was hesitant to write a review because we didn’t have a good experience but maybe this will help future parties. We rented a DJ and Photo Booth services. The Photo Booth was great and such a hit with our guests! The DJ was not. Our DJ was great with communication before the event and asked questions for clarification. Ceremony: For the most part the ceremony went well. Our only criticism is that the DJ used zero transitions. So a song would play loudly, he’d just cut the music, awkward quiet millisecond and play the next song loud. So no fading in or out or playing the next track softly over and fading out previous track. Just cut, quiet, play and repeat. Reception: Our BIGGEST issue with our DJ was there was ZERO talking from him almost the entire night except for our shoe game event. Our Grand entrance he made NO ANNOUNCEMENTS and just played the bridal parties songs and we all had to walk in when people weren’t paying attention at first. And NO ANNOUNCEMENTS for the bride and groom just music again. Special Dances: Again, NO ANNOUNCEMENTS. Just started playing our first dance song and we had to rush to the dance floor. No saying “introducing…” or “First dance as Mr and Mrs…” just played the song. And that went on for the Father/Daughter, Mother/Son dance and the final dance Groom/Sister he played the wrong song even though it was labeled on the “Information sheet” I had to fill out for the company, and still the wrong song was played. After that a DJ is suppose to say “All couples to the dance floor” or something along those lines BUT AGAIN, NO ANNOUNCEMENTS so my Bride and I had to wave everybody to the dance floor which was awkward and embarrassing. Cake Cutting: DJ came up to our head table while we were eating and asked if we were ready. We said yes. Go figure, NO ANNOUNCEMENT just played our cake cutting music. No talking or MCing of any kind from the DJ just my bride and I up there doing our cake cutting ceremony alone awkwardly and then we just had to walk away with no commentary. Shoe Game: The DJ finally spoke for the first time the entire night to read our Shoe Game questions. He read them at a super fast pace one after another withe ZERO commentary or pause in between. The entire event should have been 10-15 minutes but barely lasted 3 minutes which was again, awkward. Rest of the night was fine, he just had to play music. Only other big issue was he couldn’t take requests because he didn’t have access to the internet… The entire night or even before the ceremony when he came and shook my hand and introduced himself, never once asked for the WIFI information. I didn’t find out until the night was almost over when someone came up to me and told me. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. The Photo Booth was great and the only good part of our services. The DJ was very inexperienced. He seemed new and never said a word except for our awkward shoe game. It ruined some of our moments honestly that we can’t get back and the last minute DJ swap was unprofessional and upsetting.

If you need a DJ use Shawn. Amazing job keeping the Dancefloor full the whole time. There needs to be no further explanation for how amazing he is You’ll just have to find out for yourself. Bring hundred dollar bills because you’re gonna want to be tipping him!

We found MITDJ through one of our friends weddings and absolutely fell in love with them! We new immediately that we wanted to book them for our own wedding. Joe is absolutely awesome about helping you coordinate your big day, everything went so smoothly with the help of his planning! Desmond was our DJ, the best party starter around!! Everyone was on the dance floor all night thanks to him, he’s so kind and just a fun guy to have in presence. And highly recommend using their photobooth package as well!! 100/10 definitely recommend these guys if you want a BANGER OF A CELEBRATION!!!
