The upstairs space of Monnik was an ideal location matching our hopes for a quaint and cozy space to host an intimate wedding. The space itself held our 30 person dinner and then our 65 guests later in the evening for a late night snack reception comfortably. The communication with the event coordination staff when touring the space and the booking process was easy and informative. About 2 months leading up to the event, the communication with staff was disorganized, confusing, and rushed. For example, when trying to choose the menu, it was difficult to obtain it until a few days before it was due to the kitchen. And after receiving it, a few of the items we chose from the menu options were not available anymore. Another example includes the lack of clarity in the available furniture. When we toured the space about 1.5 years before our wedding, we documented the number and type of furniture in the space we planned on using in our layout. When visiting the space again about a month prior, some of the furniture was gone. When we asked about it, we were told that the only items available are those currently there. We decided to buy additional furniture to accommodate our original design. Overall, the space is very well maintained, beautiful, and quaint. The food and drinks were delicious and our guests enjoyed it. The staff day of were extremely helpful and informative! Monnik offers great prices for the space and have several amenities included such as sound equipment, chairs, banquet tables for dinner, catering supplies, two bartenders, and a dessert table.
