Morningside Greenhouse

Morningside Greenhouse highly disappointed me on my wedding day. Prior to my wedding, Morningside seemed great. Brian was very knowledgeable and took the time to thoroughly explain every flower and he helped make my selections for the big day. However, be prepared to write down exactly what you want and take notes during your appointments because you’ll have to review the contract and certain details that you discussed may not be included in the final contract due to his lack of organization. The day of my wedding, the delivery came two hours early (our venue wasn’t even open yet) and the quality of my bouquets were subpar. Some of the petals on the bouquets were already wilting, and my bridal bouquet was uneven and poorly put together. The stems on the bouquets were all uneven and the bouquets just lacked symmetry. Overall, I was very disappointed and shocked by the quality of work. I expected so much more from them as they have mostly positive reviews. I would not recommend this florist for a wedding or important event.

I was very surprised at just how knowledgeable Brian is. My centerpieces were stunning, and my bouquet was incredible. It was like something straight from Pinterest.

If I could honestly give this review 0 stars I would... our wedding was ruined because of Morningside Greenhouse and I would not recommend them to anyone, not even my worst enemy. It was so horrible that our venue had to fix their problems and now our very well known venue is no longer recommending them as a florist. Our centerpieces were set up in the wrong room, a different wedding. And when the owner approached my husband to tell him, he tried to tell him that its not his problem and he couldn't fix it. "It was too late and not my problem". BRIAN was so rude and should not be a business owner. So WE had the owner of the venue fix it. We almost didn't have centerpieces for our reception! SO we had flowers for our centerpieces that were USED at the other wedding. Then we ordered flowers for our cake.. which we never got and they refuse to give us a refund! And my bridesmaids bouquets were not even the slightest bit close to what we had asked for. The colors were wild bright colors when we had asked for mauve and light pink...obviously the contract is a lie. The groomsmen were suppose to have Burgundy roses.... they ended up having a bright red rose! Morningside Greenhouse ruined my wedding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whatever you do... DO NOT USE MORNINGSIDE GREENHOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!

They failed to deliver the centerpieces for my 10/1/17 wedding ceremony and so I had no ceremony flowers. My venue tried calling before the ceremony and no one picked up. My reception and ceremony took place at the Brownstone, and they did deliver the centerpieces eventually, so we had centerpieces for the reception, but they were only somewhat similar to what we wanted (we wanted loose and airy and received tight and symmetrical) and were missing a crucial type of greenery, leatherleaf, that resembles fern and was a huge part of our wedding theme. Three types of greenery were supposed to be included and only one kind was used. We also ordered a cake topper from them, and that was an epic fail - also missing the specific type of greenery we ordered, and they placed flowers on all tiers when we asked for flower topper only. Not to mention there were colored flowers on the cake when we asked for WHITE ROSES, leatherleaf, and greenery ONLY. I could not be more clear about what we wanted and even re-confirmed a few days before the wedding by e-mail AND via telephone with a woman who works there (possibly Brian's daughter?) They still screwed everything up. I sent an e-mail after the wedding about these issues and received no response. Brian, the owner, was very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful during the planning process. That said, they made a sample which looked nothing like the samples in the pictures I provided. Given that they are maybe half a mile from my venue, have been around for a long time, and offered reasonable prices, I wanted to support a local business and chose to order the wedding centerpieces despite the issue with the sample. I had to come in for another appointment during which Brian remade the sample, and it now looked great. We both took photos of it. I guess all of that was a waste of time. A woman I dealt with when signing the contract (Brian's daughter I believe) was not very pleasant, sounded condescending and rude on the phone, and obviously paid no attention to my e-mails and phone conversation. They did not even send us a contract until I called them and left a voicemail the weekend before the wedding to confirm everything. They caused a major upset during my wedding. When I saw the cake at the reception missing the leatherleaf, being pretty crafty I ran to the centerpieces to pluck some leatherleaf and flowers out and fix the cake... only to realize there was no leatherleaf to be found anywhere. So disappointing.

I was blown away with my flowers for my wedding! Brian was great at listening to what we wanted and he offered amazing suggestions in our budget. I loved my bouquets and the centerpieces came out so beautiful! Overall I am a very happy bride!

Honestly, I know nothing about flowers. I had no idea what I wanted or any specifics. I knew the kind of atmosphere I wanted to create and Brian was very patient and knowledgable about what would be perfect. I'm not sure what I would have decided without his guidance! I was incredibly happy with how they came out!

The flowers were beautiful and the center pieces were well done! Everything was delivered on time and the whole process leading up to the wedding was well planned and easy!

We used Morningside Greenhouse for both my bridal shower and wedding flowers this past October and December of 2017. I can’t say enough great things about Brian and the team there. They did a fantastic job on both occasions and we were so pleased with the floral arrangements and exceptional customer service. We were able to have a few meetings with Brian to review our vision, talk through ideas and create a beautiful end result. Our vision truly came to life exactly as we planned and we had so many compliments at both events on the flower arrangements and bridal bouquets. We also did our due diligence before booking and Morningside Greenhouse by far had the best prices and value without compromising the end result. We can’t say enough good things here and definitely recommend the team at Morningside Greenhouse for your next event. You will not be dissapointed.

I am so happy we went with Morningside Greenhouse for our Wedding! They were a pleasure to work with, affordable, and the finished products were absolutely beautiful. Brian is extremely knowledgeable and honest when it comes to flowers. My mom and I went into our first appointment with a very vague vision of what we wanted, and Brian was able to completely direct us and finalize our bouquets, centerpieces, etc. He knows what flowers will be in season, what is in style, and what to stay away from. We wholeheartedly trusted Brian! We had our ceremony at the venue, and the Morningside staff set up our centerpieces on stanchions outdoors during the ceremony, then moved them to our reception tables during Cocktail Hour - it was amazing that we were able to use our centerpieces for both parts of the wedding! I was absolutely OBSESSED with my bouquet, and my bridesmaids' bouquets were gorgeous as well - Brian was able to wrap my bouquet with a piece of my mom's wedding dress, which really made it even more special. Everything ended up looking absolutely beautiful ... Morningside Greenhouse made our Big Day even more perfect than we imagined!

I decided to go With morning side as our florist for our wedding because my mom, aunts, and other family members have used him in the past for there weddings, funerals, etc. The place is highly recommended and Brian is very knowledgeable and honest when it comes to your budget. He gave us 3 different budgets to work with and he is very reasonable and affordable. when I gave the deposit and signed the contract I left there feeling like I was in good hands. Well.... fast forward to a month before the wedding. I hadn’t heard from them and decided to call to follow up as I was told there would be another meeting scheduled and I would even get to see a sample of my centerpieces. When I called a very nasty lady who I’m assuming is his daughter told me I was suppose to call them for the follow up ( which I was never communicated this) and basically made me feel like I was in the wrong. she scheduled a meeting with Brian and again he is so kind and made me feel like I would be taken care of. He told me everything that we discussed would be emailed to me and I would be notified a week before the wedding to come see the sample centerpiece. Well I never received the email and I was never notified to come in. I called a week before the wedding and I was told his daughter who does the emailing is out of town and would follow up with me when she gets back. Fast forward to two days before the wedding. Still no email. I called again and his nasty daughter answered the phone and again made me feel like I was wrong. she told me she would try to get to it before the end of the night and if not she will def do it Thursday morning. 1 day before my wedding. I never got to see the centerpieces and At that point I wasn’t even sure what the flowers were going to look like. Thursday morning I was so upset that I had my mom call The florist to follow up and while she was on the phone with him I received the email! they said they had me confused with another bride and thought I came in to see the centerpieces. At that point I got on the phone with Brian to clear up any last minute concerns i had And I could clearly hear his daughter yelling in the background. They for sure need a better system and his daughter needs to be more personable and work on her customer service skills. very disappointed. I work in customer service and I completely get it..... September and October are very busy for wedding vendors, but hire more help don’t take it out on your customers. I was not once ever rude, and I really like Brian so because of him I will give this review 3 stars, but his daughter is horrible. The day of the wedding the flowers and centerpieces were gorgeous ... BUT they weren’t anything in my color scheme or the original picture we discussed. I’m happy that it matched and they were gorgeous but there was just a lot of miscommunications and no organization.

Morningside Greenhouse was wonderful to work with. I don't know much about flowers and didn't go into our first meeting with much of a vision but they took the time to explain everything to me and gave me a lot of ideas to work with. They worked within our budget and were very reasonably priced. The weather was much warmer than expected so we had to make a few changes last minute but it worked out perfect and they did everything to make sure I was happy with the end result. There was one little hiccup where they forgot to include a small vine that was meant to wrap around the base but it wasn't a big deal and they reimbursed us for the cost. I received so many compliments on my bouquet and all of the other flowers were beautiful as well. Thank you!

Flowers came out pretty! I had a few miscommunications with the office itself that could have been avoided however they did a good job with the outcome.

Overall, we were very happy with the flowers and arrangements we ended up with on our wedding day. The centerpieces were even better than what we had seen when we made our final appointment with Brian. They were absolutely gorgeous and everything I had expected them to be. The corsages, boutonnieres, and bridesmaids' bouquets were wonderful. My bouquet was gorgeous. I had asked for a single red rose to be placed in my bouquet in memory of my mom and Brian did a fantastic job of placing it in without it being noticed. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is that we had a few minor hiccups in terms of customer service. Communication about final products and requests were a little unclear. Our final invoice did not indicate everything that had been discussed or changed at our meeting. After some minor back and forth with Morningside, everything was cleared up the week before the wedding. Morningside was certainly a great choice for our wedding day!

I cannot begin to explain how beautiful the flowers were at my wedding ceremony and reception. Brian and his team at Morningside Greenhouse are amazing! They set everything up for my ceremony, stayed during the ceremony, and then moved the flowers into my reception. Brian knows which flowers to use during which season, what would look best, and how to curb costs making it affordable. I had people call me after my wedding to tell me how beautiful my ceremony and reception looked. I would highly recommend and use Morningside Greenhouse again! :)

We went with Morningside because they were literally THOUSANDS less expensive than some other florists that we talked to. Brian was nice and talked me through the different types of flowers that would be available for my late-July wedding. We had an appointment where he made up a sample centerpiece and I was happy with the result. When the flowers arrived on the day of the wedding, nothing except the boutineers looked as we had discussed. My palette was blush and sage-y green, and I had asked for a loose, abstract shape for the bouquets, and they were tightly bound and completely round, a style I had specifically asked to avoid. The centerpieces were COMPLETELY different from what he had shown me in the shop. Not one single flower was the same, not a single blush flower, and it looked like something from a supermarket. We called after the wedding and told the staff that we were disappointed, and after a long while, got a bit of a refund. I am still very happy I didn't spend $3-5000 on flowers, but definitely did not get what I had wanted.

I am so incredibly impressed by the flowers for my May 5th wedding. The bouquets were gorgeous and the bright blue hydrangeas and white roses really lit up the room at my venue. I was so happy to see the beautiful work of Brian and the Morningside team and I would highly recommend them to any bride and groom. Morningside is professional, efficient, affordable, and knowledgeable. Everything you could ask for in a florist. Everyone complimented our flowers and the beautiful pop of color it added to our wedding party and venue. Thank you Brian for all of your hard work! So happy to say my wedding flowers were everything I wanted and more!

could have been better, the mothers corsages were little and no where near what we discussed looked cheap. for the bridesmaids i had asked for the bouquets to be wrapped with red silk ribbon and have it hanging down a few feet because my girls were in long black dresses so i wanted the contrast. The flowers arrived and they had a thin sheer ribbon with only a few inches draping. When i placed the order i specified all these things AGAIN and still showed up wrong. I wouldn't recommend going here even if the price is right.

The Centerpieces were nice and what I asked for. As for the bridal party banquet I was disappointed. The flowers were not nice and wilting by the end of the night. I have to say the service was less than desirable. Called me day before wedding about delivering and charging more money due to distance. The price of what we paid did not reflect the quality of flowers and service. The day of the wedding called to change time of delivery again. Overall the only thing I like was my bridal bouquet.

the outside and inside is deceiving, they know exactly what they are doing- they have been in the flower industry for many years. Brian is incredible and accommodating and patient. he works with his daughters who are also great!! the flowers are beautiful and they take all their time and energy to make sure everything works out!! thank you!!!!!!!

Brian and his team did an amazing job on our bouquets and centerpieces. Everyone was so friendly and very easy to talk to. Brian has been very helpful since day 1 and he was willing to work with us so we can stay within our tight budget and still have everything we wanted. He listened and understood what we were looking for and he made it happened. It was a pleasure to work with Brian and his team. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a florist that offers reasonable price and the best service.

Morninqside designed the flowers for my daughters wedding and they were beautiful. The bridal bouquet and bridesmaids flowers were stunning. We also had Brian design the center pieces for the tables and I am still getting compliments on them. Thank you Team Morningside for your careful attention to all the details.

We ordered table centerpieces, bouquets, corsages and some ceremony decorations from our florist. They were reasonably priced and accommodating. We had met with the owner to go through everything and he was extremely knowledgeable which was nice. We weren't sure exactly what we wanted so helped and made suggestions. We went back two different times to see samples and he had no problem with that. The day of the wedding he and his staff were there on time setting everything up. Our bouquets were beautiful and the boutonnieres & corsages were nice. The only think I wasn't satisfied with was the consistency of our centerpieces. We saw the sample and expected they would all look like that. However, when I went into the main room- some were very full and some were not. I actually went around fixing some of them because they looked a little messy. And to be fair, our centerpieces were more on the natural side and didn't have to be "perfect" but I still expected them to look polished. I felt like they kind of just threw it on the table and ran. So I wouldn't say not to use them but I would say to be very clear on what you're looking for and what your expectations for that day are.

This was the BEST place to work with! It's family run and the owner will take all the time you need to pick what you are looking for. His knowledge and expertise ensures you get the best arrangements.

Brian and his team did a beautiful job with our wedding. He was so patient and kind in the planning process and respected our budget. I recommend his work without reservation however I was disappointed with the centerpieces since we discussed dropping a rose in the middle with the LED light. The centerpieces were still amazing but I was looking forward to the rose.

Brian and team did an amazing job on Sunday! Their flowers and set up were magical. Brian was well organized and super informative every time we went to meet with him. He is a flower encyclopedia! We highly recommend Morningside. They were timely, efficient, easy to work with, seamless in their approach to moving flowers from ceremony to reception area. The flowers were gorgeous and fresh and exactly as Brian described them.

I chose this vendor because they had the best price and it was local. The owner was very knowledgeable about flowers, although he seemed to spend too much time naming flowers instead of showing me examples. Be prepared to bring a lot of pictures and be very specific about what you want so you don't waste any time. The day of the wedding went smoothly. They showed up on time and the center pieces were beautiful. The bouquets were supposed to be pink, although they were bright orange. I didn't mind at the time because they were still pretty.

From our first encounter, to our last the day before the wedding, everyone was extremely helpful and professional. I recently got married and decided to go with Morningside Florist. I must say the customer service was great, unfortunately the day of the wedding things were different. My bridal and bridesmaid bouquets were completely different than I requested and the centerpieces lacked flowers and organization.

Morningside Greenhouse (specifically Brian) was an absolute pleasure to work with. After doing a ton of research and meeting with a few other florists, Brian clearly had the best understanding of what we were looking for, as well as the ability to stay within our minimal budget (even slightly under in some cases!) He did our estimated pricing right on the spot which gave me a huge level of confidence. Further, we were invited back for two additional meetings to discuss the flowers in more detail and view samples of the centerpiece. The day of the wedding, our delivery actually came early which was great. They needed no guidance at all and the room looked amazing.

I just used this florist for my wedding and the flowers came out stunning!! Brian helped us with all the little details and the end product was breathtaking! Thank you!

I am happy to give Morningside a great review because after my husband and I had a horrible experience with a far less experienced florist somewhere else, Brian's expertise was just what we needed to get our planning back on track. He knows his flowers: what's in season, what's not, how it will photograph, etc. He was very forthcoming with pricing, gave a range of options and I felt it was very reasonable. If you're a bride who's heart is set on a certain arrangement and that arrangement is not suitable for the season or for whatever reason, Brian will tell you. And he will discourage you from going that route and offer alternatives. This is a good thing because if you listen to him, at least you wont end up with dead flowers on your wedding day. But if you want what you want and just want to hear resounding yes... you probably won't get that from him. He'll do what you want to make you happy, but he wont be glad about it. His knowledge of flowers is expansive and it would behoove you to trust him and his judgement. I wasn't sure what my bouquet would look like but he told me to trust him and I wasn't disappointed. All I'm saying is, know what you want but be flexible and the outcome is sure to be beautiful.

I am so happy we chose Morningside Greenhouse as our florist! I had visited other florists but their prices were over $7,000. Morningside provided us with more than the other florists would have for HALF the cost. My bouquet was STUNNING and the bridesmaids' flowers were so unique and exactly what I envisioned! My guests raved about how beautiful my centerpieces were! Brian and his staff are very friendly and will work with you to provide you with exactly what you want for your wedding day.

Service was excellent with best pricing. Unlike other florist we met they had experience producing everything I wanted. For example in lieu of flowers for centerpieces I wanted crystal candle holders others couldn't produce but morning side had it, same for my place card which were potted succulents . Top service but when you walk into the shop remember not to judge a book by its cover!

My aunt who lives in NJ recommend these florists and I love their arrangement so much. They are extremely friendly and understanding! They really listened to my ideas and also added to it which I really enjoyed. Great experience with their service!

Morningside Greenhouse where great providing their services for my wedding. Brian is an awesome individual who guided me every step of the way with out taking advantege of my budget!! Every time I sat down with me he made me feel very comfortable with my decisions and when I wasn't sure I asked for his opinion and he was straight foward with me. They are very curteous and professional and recommend them to anyone who needs a florist. I gave them four stars instead of five because my flowers where more than an hour late and my husbend's buettner was alot smaller then the groomsmen. Thank you morningside for everything.

I was very disappointed with this vendor. They florist got lost on their way to my house to drop off the flowers and they were 40 minutes late! One of my bridesmaids had to give them directions instead of getting ready and then they had to leave my house and have the florist follow them to my future husbands house because they did not have a GPS and we were backed up on time. They also sent a completely different bouquet then the one I requested and was on my contract. I had flowers in my bouquet that were actually browning and dying before they even arrived to my house. They are getting one star because the centerpieces were nice. I was recommended this vendor from a family member and am very disappointed in my experience. I do not recommend them to brides to be!

I highly recommend Morningside Greenhouse! They were great wi working with me to create my version, pick flowers, and work within my budget. Everyone commented on how beautiful the floral and pumpkin arrangements were. They also created an arch for our ceremony which was gorgeous! Brian is really wonderful to work with!

Our experience with Brian was great. He listened to everything we wanted and gave us suggestions based on color, quality of flower and price. Our meetings with him were very helpful. Our bouquets, boutonnieres, and center pieces came out beautifully and helped make our Christmas/winter themed wedding look perfect. We ere very satisfied.

We worked with Morningside Flowers for our ceremony flowers. The gentleman we worked with was great. He was very honest with regarding what look would be best but also with budget in mind. He did not try to make a better sale by selling us overprices arrangements. He gave his honest opinion on what would achieve the look that we wanted with cost in mind and I apprieciated that.

I hate giving negative reviews, because I worked in customer service for several years. However, I contacted this florist twice. Once early on in wedding planning and once the week of my wedding. Earlier, I needed all my flowers and was going to hire them based on a recommendation. They were rude and did not take me seriously when I told them I was hiring them blindly because I lived in Florida. (My wedding was at the Brownstone). I received no inquiry return. The week of my wedding, I was missing white rose petals, and I called to order about $50 worth. They charged me $75 and when the petals were delivered two hours before the ceremony, they were yellowing and rotting. Perhaps it was my fault, but I should have gone with my gut feeling. I was so disappointed and it was a total waste of money and effort. We couldn't use the petals.

Morningside Greenhouse did a wonderful job with our flowers for our wedding day. Everything looked beautiful and the centerpieces and bridesmaids bouquets all came together so well. I told Brian my vision and he basically created it without me giving him much guidance – he really knows what he is talking about and makes the planning process very easy. He was affordable and very easy to work with. They were also great the day of the wedding!

Brian was great to meet with, he really knows the business and what will look best. He used gorgeous roses and sea glass for my beach wedding. He is very reasonably priced!

I actually made my bridesmaid bouquets with real touch silk flowers and had my bouquet made by a vendor on Etsy with real touch silk flowers. Morningside provided such pretty centerpieces which were different than the traditional flowers, they were very helpful in choosing colors, and they were reasonably priced. We were so happy with them and it was a breeze working with them. They really know their stuff!

From the day I walked into Morningside to see if my wedding date was available, Brian was warm and welcoming. He sat with me for almost two hours discussing my options, especially since we were on a very tight budget. That being said, he found a way to stay affordable while making sure everything was beautiful. Our centerpieces looked classy and elegant, people raved about my bridal bouquet (also very affordable!), and all of the bridal party bouquets, boutinneres (etc.) blended together perfectly. Also, our ceremony decorations and wedding canopy were gorgeous. When I walked into Morningside several months ago, I knew NOTHING about flowers, colors, or coordinating...but Brian took care of everything. Thank you, Morningside!

Morning side green house did an amazing job with my wedding ! The center pieces and all of our flowers were flawless couldn't have asked for a better job!

I hired Morningside Greenhouse because of their reputation and good reviews online but I was left with a very bad experience with them. The flower arrangements and bouquets at the wedding were not as discussed looked very different from the actual sample agreed upon. They all looked very cheap and almost dead. I have opt for the highest tier on my budget but really felt like I was dissed by the people I trusted. When we called to inform the owner that we were disappointed, the owner turned obnoxious and said he would give us $12 for the missing crystals on the centerpieces. Very rude and unacceptable.

Although I was a little unsure on how eveything would look the day of our wedding, I was very impressed!!! Thank you!

The flowers for our wedding were fabulous! Brian adviced and recommended based on the flowers we liked and the colors we choose. Everything came out beautiful! Only regret was that at the delivery one of the bouquets was missing (delivery was early so I was not home to check from completeness). My prompt call has not been returned, nor any of the following calls and messages we left. We improvised, but since it was paid for I had hoped at least hear from them. 4 weeks later now, it is still unfortunate, but could have been handled differently. Regardless - the flowers that we got were impacible and very, very nice!

Morningside exceeded my expectations with my flowers. They did a phenomenal job and I couldn't have been happier. They were on time and very organized.

Brian was very helpful and educated us on the many choices we had...what to go with and what would not hold out so well. Flowers lasted for well over a week and were beautiful. Although the outcome was a little different than when we initially met I was very happy!!! He definitely works with you to meet your price budget as well!

i never believed i could get such beautiful arrangements for the price i paid. brian at morningside made sure that every wish of mine was granted. it was a match made in heaven. and the staff the morning of my wedding realized my dream perfectly. i'm so happy with the overall effect that the flowers presented on my wedding day

I absolutely loved, loved, loved my bouquet!!!!! I couldn't have asked for more! You made the whole process so easy! I would definitely recommend Morningside Greenhouse for an floral needs!

the price was perfect, and Brian was very nice, but I had alot of problems the day of my wedding. I confirmed with Brian that I wanted a throw away bouquet- which did not arrive. Mothers' roses were dying. The deliverymen was rude to my family. They never sent a new balance sheet after many changes, so I almost did not have enough to pay them. The church flowers were not correct. He shown me one picture, and that did not end up in the church. We asked for no carnations, and they were in my center pieces. If you use them, make sure to have every flower listed on the order, or you may up with something you do not want. The bouquets were beautiful, but that is because we told Brian every flower we wanted in each of the bouquets. Brian is very nice, but go in with a plan or you may end up disappointed with the end result.

It all looked perfect. I had shown Brian pictures of what I wanted and the flowers looked identical. Great Job !
