We wanted a wedding in the mountains at a place where some of our family could stay. We stumbled upon mountain magnolia inn and made the trek from Arkansas to North Carolina to meet with Mary Helen, their wedding coordinator. From the moment we saw the place we knew it was where we wanted to get married but when you add in the staff and the quaint town of hot springs, it’s magical. Tom, the chef, is out of this world amazing and is willing to make pretty much anything you want. They are also very conscious of dietary restrictions and adjust without any issue. Every detail was worked out with Mary Helen and Tom and the day went by without any issues! We also had their groundskeeper, Dana, do our flowers and the owner of the inn, Karen, as our officiant; both were just perfect. I cannot say enough good things about this beautiful place hidden in mountains!
I can honestly say that you cannot go wrong by booking this venue. The entire staff and venue was amazing and looked beautiful. The staff works hard to get you everything you want without question. The food was tremendous! The coordinator went above and beyond her job, she was always in touch and very good at taking care of every detail. I cannot rave enough about this place except that we plan on going back to stay there for our anniversary and may even renew our vows there in the future. If you are even thinking of booking this venue, DO IT! It will be the best decision you can make for your special day.
Highly recommend Mounta Magnolia Inn. It was the perfect place for an October 14, 2017 wedding (please check out the Lisa Marshall Photography photos http://lisamarshallphotography.com/ on their Facebook site). Absolutely beautiful mountain setting, lovely accommodations and delicious food menu offerings at their onsite restaurant. The staff is highly professional and the Wedding Director, Mary Helen Adamson, is a dream to work with for coordinating my daughter’s special wedding events. Thank you Mountain Magnolia Inn for everything you did to create happy smiles and memories we will all cherish for a lifetime. Well done!!!
Our wedding at Mountain Magnolia Inn was perfect! Gorgeous venue, AMAZING food, and helpful staff. All of our guests loved Hot Springs and many made mini-vacations out the trip. We will always cherish that beautiful day!
The facilities and location are stunning. You could not ask for more beautiful photos because of the setting. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The food is excellent. You get the whole place to yourself. Our friends and family enjoyed the lovely inn and grounds during their stay. The only mixed review we have is for their wedding coordinator. She started off really strong and put us at ease during our early conversations. She seemed knowledgeable and experienced. We were led to believe that certain things would be taken care of that weren’t. We scheduled multiple meetings prior to the wedding to discuss our plan and vision for the weekend, but she continually forgot the details we told her. Despite our preparations, our equipment rental order was submitted two weeks before the wedding (even though we had sent it to her two months prior). This put us in an unnecessary bin, scrounging for place settings and tents (the rental company, Classic Rentals, saved the day). Our wedding rehearsal was about 10 minutes long, which surprised even our preacher, and which led to some hiccups during the ceremony. The Wedding Coordinator also made it sound like staff would be able to help set up for that weekend, but if we hadn’t had our close friends helping the site would not have been set up in time. Finally, dinner was served about an hour late.
We were actually very pleased overall with how our wedding turned out. We just wish we would have known more about what we were personally responsible for going in. That would have prevented much of the miscommunication and frustrations.
This was one of my top choices. So we stopped in to see it one day. The staff was rude and unprofessional. I asked if a manager was available and was told no very abruptly. This was fine, as we did not have an appointment, but they didn’t even offer to take my name and number etc. I attempted to email and call several times before getting a reply. It was clearly scripted and did not address and of my questions. The pricing is exorbitant and represents many double charges where you are paying for the same thing in multiple categories being called something
slightly different. When I replied to gain clarity about this they just never responded. People in the surrounding town told me the management had changed and it was no longer the same place. Very sad.
I couldn't have imagined a better experience. In regards to the staff, the preparation, execution, and flexibility throughout the weekend was second to none. They were all incredibly professional and genuinely considerate. By the end of the weekend, they felt like family.
In regards to the venue, I was first introduced to the area just days before the wedding and was blown away at the combination of the quaint, personal town with the stunning Blue Ridge Mountain backdrop.
Lastly, the dining was top notch. Each plate was thoughtfully prepared and comprehensively delicious. I was very impressed with the consistent quality of the dishes being provided for a 65 guest wedding.
All in all, I wouldn't have changed a single detail and owe many thanks to the venue, its staff, and the Hot Springs community.
We eloped at the Mountain Magnolia Inn at the end of October. The leaves were amazing and the property provided the most amazing backdrop when capturing the photographs of our day. I couldn't have asked for a more stress free day and it was perfect. Highly recommended!
