Nestled in Western Maine on 9 scenic acres overlooking Rangeley Lake, Mountain Star Estate is equipped to fulfill all your wedding and event needs. Our weekend packages include the use of the 9 acre property for you and your guests. We offer a custom made venue barn completed in 2018 (able to accommodate up to 175 guests), the heated barn includes all tables and chairs, 3 bathrooms, and a bar with glassware as well as plates and utensils. The property features a gorgeous outdoor ceremony site with custom made white benches for your guests, Nile Brook runs along the property with a cascading water feature. A perfect photo opportunity.
Also included in the price: on site lodging in the Farmhouse for up to 35 guests. A private honeymoon cottage for the couple is also included!! We pride ourselves in booking only one wedding per week to ensure that every detail, no matter how minor, goes according to your specific vision. Everyone we worked with made us feel like family — not just another event on their calendar. They took the time to get to know us, helped with every little detail, and made sure our day was completely stress-free. This is what really made us move forward with this venue. They all made our dream wedding come to life. One of our favorite parts was being able to spend the entire weekend there with our close family and bridal party. It turned our wedding into a full weekend celebration instead of just one day. We don’t get to see our friends and family often because of where we live so it was special to be able to have everyone in one place on site together. Bonus: we got to bring our two fur babies!! We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to celebrate our wedding. Highly recommend to any couple looking for a stunning venue with a team that truly cares!

ho were able to provide a wonderful and seamless day. We even forgot some things and they were able to help out with the odds and ends. Adrian was truly a blessing in disguise. Her expertise and passion for the day was what made it that much better. I would highly recommend Mountain Star Estate for your wedding. We would even go back and throw another event if we found one to host! Plus you can't beat Rangeley Maine for its ability to host a lot of people with the camps and lodges.

They both went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed leading up to the event and made sure everything went smoothly the day of. You need Adrian as your coordinator! She was on top of everything even after our reception ended (came to the bar and made sure everyone got where they needed to go). We were truly blown away.
Also, having our closest family and friends stay at the farmhouse made our wedding feel like an entire weekend event. Everyone can’t stop talking about it!! Highly highly recommend

4th, 2025, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect weekend. Sharon and Trav went above and beyond to ensure that we did not have to worry about anything and that we could enjoy our special day. Adrian also ensured that everything was organized by communicating with our vendors and allowing us to focus on each other and our family. This team genuinely cares about you and makes you and your loved ones feel like family. The ability to have 30 of our closest friends and family with us at The Farmhouse all weekend was incredible and so unique. The Farmhouse porch also made a beautiful place for our rehearsal dinner. The Barn was a perfect place to host our reception, with its size and aesthetic. The team worked seamlessly, and we didn’t have to focus on anything other than us. We cannot share enough positive things about this venue and team it’s the best decision we made during the planning process! The pictures speak for themselves you need to go visit!

Hosting an extended weekend directly on site with accommodations for all of your closest friends and family made for an unforgettable weekend. It’s a rare occasion to have all the most important people in your life come together all at the same time, and being able to all stay together at the Farmhouse kept the party rolling all weekend long. We ate fabulous food, had adventures on the lake, played an endless amount of lawn games, and enjoyed amazing fires under the stars. We danced, we laughed, we cried, and celebrated a weekend we will truly cherish for the rest of our lives.
The venue itself is of course beautiful (the pictures speak for themselves!) and the service provided by the venue manager Sharon, her husband Travis, and our day of coordinator Adrian was TOP NOTCH. They worked tirelessly to ensure our day ran smoothly, and for everything they did for us that we noticed, I am sure there is so much else they did behind the scenes to make sure we had the times of our lives. My wife and I are so happy we held our wedding at Mountain Star Estate, and we can’t speak highly enough of everything this venue has to offer.

had our entire wedding party stay in the farmhouse all weekend which was SO MUCH FUN having everyone in one spot, but also the bedroom layouts offered enough space for everyone to feel like they had enough privacy. Our other guests stayed in cabins in the area and enjoyed the lake. Sharon and Adrian are a DREAM TEAM and made everything happen without a hitch. We were able to set up the barn a few days in advance and really talk through how we wanted it to look. When something looked off, Adrian offered her opinion but always made sure the bride and groom agreed and knew of any changes. Our guests had so much fun at cocktail hour outside the barn and then spent all night after our lobster bake dinner, dancing. It was perfect. After dancing, the fire starts and guests can make their way there for smores/and more hanging out by the farmhouse. My husband and I stayed in the honeymoon suite all weekend as it was BEAUTIFUL and the bed was the comfiest bed I ever slept in in my life. We accidentally left some items behind and the staff was even kind enough to send it later to us. I would literally never get married anywhere else everything was beautiful and perfect and we got a whole weekend of spending time together. Literally no complaints.

d Adrian (venue manager + coordinator) made our wedding day/weekend so special, peaceful, and fun. Everything went so smoothly and we did not have to worry about a single thing. They were all so kind, personable, and professional. All of our guests have been since complimenting the beauty of the venue and the kindness of staff.
It was so special to have our family and wedding party stay the weekend in the farmhouse. It truly is gorgeous, and feels so homey. Our wedding parties were able to get ready separately in the farmhouse due to its unique layout. The honeymoon suite is something out of a magazine - so charming and romantic.
Having the lodging, ceremony, and reception all in one location makes Mountain Stare Estate so special. They also provide the tables, cutlery, plates, chairs, glasses and so much more. This took a lot of stress away, not having to search for expensive rentals.
We would chose Mountain Star Estate over and over again and highly recommend!!! ❤️

son and met Sharon (one of the owners) and Adrian (the venue manager and Day-of-Coordinator), we didn’t want to look any further.
The Venue - Not only is the setting amazing but the venue itself is absolutely one of a kind. The barn, ceremony site, bridal suite, and farmhouse are all uniquely beautiful. The vibe is natural, rustic, and elegant, and I was able to easily bring our vision to life without having to add a lot of extras because the space was already beautiful on its own. The farmhouse is so beautiful and charming and it makes a fantastic setting for the bridal party to gather for the weekend. The fact that we could comfortably have our family with us for the whole weekend and no one had to travel between lodging, ceremony site, and reception site was so special and it considerably cut down on stress and costs. There are also numerous other lodging options very close by for the rest of your guests, so no one has to travel far. The separate bridal suite was also a huge decision-making factor for me since I could have my own beautiful and calming space (with romantic views looking up to the barn) and not have to be in the hustle and bustle of the farmhouse if I needed a moment away. It was also a fantastic space for getting ready the morning of the wedding.
The People – Perhaps the biggest selling point for Mountain Star Estate is the people you end up working with. Sharon and Travis are both super friendly, excited, welcoming, and helpful. Adrian, the venue manager is also available to hire as a day-of-coordinator and she was an ENORMOUS help. She was able to guide us through all our decisions and help us with the planning and execution. She’s also an absolute delight to work with, knows all the nitty gritty details, and is just a super lovely person. Sharon and Adrian also had THE BEST suggestions for vendors. We chose to use people that they loved working with and they were all phenomenal (we used The Good Food Store, Celebration Corporation, and Riverside Greenhouse).
The Value - When I first looked at this venue I was concerned about our budget, but after doing the research I discovered that there is so much value at Mountain Star Estate that it was going to be a much smarter choice than other comparable venues I had looked at. Mountain Star has its own beautiful tables (that don’t require linens), linen-style paper napkins, dishes and silverware, and gorgeous chairs so you don’t have to spend extra money on rentals. The barn is already so characterful and tasteful that you can keep your decorations fairly minimal and it will still be lovely. They have a beautiful permanent arbor at the ceremony site so no extra cost needed there. The site is completely private and everything is in one spot so you don’t have to worry about transportation (unless you want a shuttle for those staying off site).
Choosing Mountain Star Estate was the best thing we could have done. Our big day was beautiful, the people we worked with were wonderful, and our guests raved about the whole experience. It was utterly special and beautiful, and we wish we could do it all over again!

Their seamless transition of our outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour to completely indoors was truly impressive. Every detail, from the floral arrangements to the table settings, was executed flawlessly. The indoor space was transformed into a breathtaking and intimate setting that exceeded our expectations.
The staff's professionalism and dedication were unparalleled. They went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our wedding ran smoothly, allowing us to relax and enjoy our special day.
Our guests raved about the venue's beauty, elegance, and the overall experience; many not even knowing that we were supposed to be outside because the inside transition worked so seamlessly.
Mountain Star Estate truly made our wedding day a dream come true, even with the unexpected weather. We cannot recommend this venue highly enough!

The venue and setting is stunning - all of our guests thanked us for getting married here just because they were so happy to see beautiful Rangeley Lake! Our bridal party loved staying in the farmhouse and we all enjoyed the charm and decor in the farmhouse and the bridal cottage. We enjoyed every aspect of the property - BBQs on the lawn, drinks around the firepit, and of course our wedding in the gorgeous barn.

was a star, attending to every last detail. The entire venue was perfect: the wedding party stayed in the Farmhouse, we held the rehearsal dinner on the porch and welcome party in the field. The day of ceremony, cocktail reception, and dinner were all held in the barn and outdoor space. Even the Rangeley weather cooperated! The location/ambiance was PERFECT for my husband (from the mountains) and myself (from the ocean). Stacey and Adrian were very supportive and helpful throughout the wedding process.
We had potential for rain during the ceremony and there were contingency plans in place to hold the ceremony in the barn if needed. (Great piece of mind!) Luckily the sun held out and we were able to use the incredible ceremony site a short path walk up from the barn with the backdrop of Rangeley Lake below. The barn venue had plenty of space (comfortable/cosy in a good way) for just over 100 guests. I used local (Rangeley, ME) vendors for catering and flowers who work closely with MSE - another benefit.
Guest housing availability on site and very close by (within a mile) made this venue a great choice for us as everyone was traveling from out of state. I loved having the Honeymoon Suite to ourselves right next to the Farm House. We held our rehearsal dinner at the Farm House in a relaxed BBQ buffet that we brought in. Low-key and fun!
If you are looking for a rustic/barn venue that has an easygoing and elegant feel offering a phenomenal package - look no further. MSE is the best option out there - I know, I looked at every barn venue in the greater northeast and nothing compared.

It’s located on the eastern-end of Rangeley lake, and the hill the barn sits on provides the perfect view of the lake and surrounding mountains; the setting made for some unbelievable photos, especially with the foliage turning colors.
I could not be happier with our experience at Mountain Star! Almost everyone was traveling in for our wedding, and the on-site lodging option with the Farmhouse made housing our friends and family super easy. Stacey and Shane were also only a call away if we needed anything while we were staying in the farmhouse.
The wedding itself went more perfectly than I could have imagined! Stacey and Adrian are masters at running events. The barn was set up for reception early so that we could decorate before the day of the wedding. We made a special request for blueberry Moscow mules for one of our signature cocktails, and Adrian made some amazing blueberry syrup for them herself. Our ceremony was also outside, and Adrian made sure the gravel path was free of goose poop so that I didn’t drag my dress and veil through any of it; talk about going above and beyond!
I also can’t put into words how beautiful the estate is. The farmhouse is so cozy, the bridal suite is an absolute retreat that is perfect for getting ready the day of the wedding, and the barn is straight off of a rustic Pinterest board that hardly needs any extra decoration.
If you’re looking for a rustic venue in one of the most picturesque regions of Maine with the nicest, most helpful staff, then Mountain Star Estate is the perfect venue!

r 3 nights and had our bridal party and immediate families stay on-site. It felt like a Thanksgiving weekend, except it was our summer wedding! The farmhouse is perfect for doing your own rehearsal dinner and morning-after brunch to save on costs in an already expensive situation, and makes for a cozy atmosphere. The outdoor space provides a perfect landscape for socializing, playing, and enjoying the fresh mountain air of Rangeley. Kid and pet-friendly, plus breathtaking backdrops for photos (especially in lupine season!). The night sky is spectacular given limited ambient lighting and the fire pit lends an intimacy to the evenings. Beware any outdoor ceremony space comes with the risk of noise from neighbors and cars passing by (in our case a truck sitting somewhere not far off playing audible music during our vows, ha!). The reception Barn is a perfect canvas for making your personal Wedding vision come to life, and the owners are an incredibly talented and thoughtful couple of builders/designers who will make just about any vision come to fruition. Recommend to bring/hire a day-of coordinator to manage schedule and communication with vendors, bridal party, guests, etc., and to clarify what will incur additional expenses if budget is a concern. We had 100 guests very comfortably fit.

er fiance. They were thoughtful and helpful, tending carefully to the details that we inexperienced patrons desperately needed. They easily accommodated the short notice, and took this task and worry away from us!
Just weeks before the scheduled event was supposed to go, we determined that we would not be able to pull all the details together in time, so wisely decided to reschedule for the fall of 2018. They fully supported our decision without hesitation. This was so appreciated at this challenging moment.
Now, with the blessed event behind us, I happily attest to the overall quality of the MSE wedding experience. The farmhouse accommodated our large family for pre-wedding festivities, easily making the friend and family dinner one that gave a true "at home" family event, as well as cozy inn overnight accommodations for all. Our guests spent the weekend reveling in the beauty and serenity of the vistas afforded by the MSE, definitely providing a needed measure of comfort as we readied for the event.
We are forever grateful to the folks at MSE for being an intricate, incredible part of our wedding journey. If you are looking for a a wedding event venue, in the Rangeley area, look no further!
In addition I need to tell that Angela's work with all details including the flower arrangements (which she took on without hesitation at the last minute:) was phenomenal. Both she and Stacey maintained continuous contact throughout this process, accommodating us at each turn. We always felt they had us. The wedding went off without a "hitch"...they were present to guide us through the hours leading up to the ceremony and beyond.
