I fell in love with this hotel! It is beautiful, contemporary, and unique, as well as it provides you with a boutique-type experience! What makes this place truly special is people, though. I know that every interaction that I had with the crew...
members was superb and uplifting. Kevin and Andrea made my stay truly special, and they were putting a smile on my face every time I was swinging by. Thank you so much, guys. You are amazing!
Moxy brand is not everyone's cup of tea, but a lot of people will make the best memories here.
Thank you for your hospitality!

Location: walking distance from a lot of great areas, including the convention center.
Rooms: Very odd/non practical layout, and no mini fridge. The view was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. On higher floors, you can hear the music ...
from the rooftop bar, can be annoying when you're trying to sleep but we liked it.
Layout: The hotel layout is very confusing, as they share walls with their sister hotel. Took us a day and a half to figure it all out.
Parking: No free parking at this hotel, but there is a large lot attached to it that you can pay 30$ a day for.
Nightlife: Very alive, very busy, maybe too busy. But lots of young people in snazzy outfits and multiple bars. Including a speakeasy bar with multiple hidden doors.

This hotel *looks* like it would be really nice to stay it but it is not. So much money was spent on the trendy facade & seemingly none was left for staff training. I have NEVER been to a hotel where so many of the front desk staff were so quic...
k to be rude and combative with guests. This happened to myself and I watched it happen to others as well.
I didn’t get a “for certain” answer from a single staff member during my stay. “We usually” “I think” “you should be able to” “they might be able to”… no matter what I asked, I wasn’t going to get an answer.
The night staff told me the bar’s kitchen was open when it had been closed for two hours. A bartender at Golden Hour told us that you had to go down and get wrist bands to come to the pool as hotel guests which was later refuted by the front desk. We ordered pillows to the room which didn’t come. After 40 minutes we tried to cancel but there was no answer at either the room service number or the front desk. We inquired about it in the morning & were told that there were spare pillows on our floor that we could have grabbed the previous night. Would have been nice to be told that when we called.
The way that Level 8 is advertised at the front desk makes it seem as if it’s part of the hotel. It would nice during the check in process if it was explicitly stated that while you are attached to that building, they are NOT a part of the hotel & you cannot use your resort credit nor the AmEx credit there. That was not clear to us.
The room itself was TINY. If you are sharing this room with someone, just know that there is not a separated bathroom. It’s right there in the room either a sliding door for shower/toilet. The sink is in the main bedroom.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who cares about having a nice experience where they are staying due to the staff being poorly trained and combative. That’s a real shame because the hotel itself is trendy. Absolutely not worth dealing with your staff. I wish I’d read the other reviews before wasting my time at this establishment.

We booked a king room and received a double queen. I’m not sure if I’m happy about that or not as I didn’t get to see the size of the King room but I doubt there was much more space reading other reviews. The room is EXTREMELY SMALL and we’re u...
sing the other bed to place my makeup, luggage, hair essentials, laptop for working, etc. on because there is very limited space for ANYTHING. The sink is micro with no space to put anything. We are definitely tripping over each other. Read the reviews about the size of the rooms! They don’t lie! The desk is ridiculous. I won’t be getting much work done this trip. Very disappointed in Marriott that they would build something like this. We stay for comfort and this is definitely not comfortable. Will be staying somewhere else in the future.

Definitely don’t book here if you want to actually get sleep in the room you will pay well over $300 plus the $60 parking fee for. There is going to be loud music playing until after 11:30pm and the hotels solution is for you to put ear plugs i...
n. The rooms are small but that is pretty standard for downtown LA hotels, however, these are the smallest rooms I’ve stayed in for this area. This hotel makes the Marriott chain look bad.
