Getting married at Waverly Manor was truly the most magical experience I could have EVER imagined! Mary and Delores took such amazing care of us and everything was truly perfect. They are very hands on and checked in with me at every step to ensure I was getting exactly what I wanted. It’s a bit of a drive but SO worth it, and they have several packages to accommodate various budgets. We went with the all inclusive package and it was SO nice to not have to worry about linens, cake, DJ, catering, etc. etc. We spent VERY little extra money on decorations and such. (I even used Mary’s daughter, Mandi, for hair and makeup and she was also a dream! I’ve literally never looked better.) Everyone is raving about how good the food was and how beautiful everything was, and I’m still buzzing over how perfect everything turned out and how well we were taken care of. I’ve always wanted an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception and the moment I saw Waverly and the gazebo, I knew it was THE ONE! (And if you’re not a gazebo girl, they have a beautiful old tree you can get married in front of, or you can do an indoor ceremony.) I cannot recommend Waverly Manor enough!!! Pro Tip: spring for the fireworks send off, it’s a REAL crowd pleaser!
After much thought and deliberation, I do recommend Waverly Manor. I am disappointed that I cannot give them 5 stars. I really wanted to.
I will be transparent that there were some hiccups along the way. Since, I was the bride I was able to notice everything from the start to the finish. However, it’s not my intention to be negative. Also, I don’t want to list all of my disappointments. I will say that I felt like the main assistant (Delores) did me wrong. I hate to say that, but it bothers me. I felt like she was apathetic and cold at times…I won’t go into detail on that…This is what makes me mention this, because I don’t want this to happen to any other bride. My husband and I wanted a small intimate wedding. Long story short, instead of ensuring that my ceremony/wedding ran smoothly she gave a tour to some strangers. They got to see my photographer bustle my dress, and our closest family and friends in the reception hall. Also, my bridal party and I had our valuables inside of the house during the tour. I felt so disrespected like my wedding was being crashed by the tour. If she would’ve asked or apologized, it would’ve tremendously helped. I’ll leave it at that. Thankfully, the owner did try to make it right and apologized.
Despite all that, the owner (Mary) is what makes me recommend Waverly Manor. She is lovely and a very nice person. Also, our family and friends kept saying how great the wedding was, and how beautiful it was. No venue is perfect, but I’m grateful that my wedding overall was nice. I appreciate that the venue is all inclusive, and is a good deal.
Beautiful Place! I just had my wedding there on Nov and Mary and Delores were helpful, kind, patient and to be honest they are extremely experienced so whatever you bring to the table they are ready for it. I loved this place since the first time I saw it in person. Pictures don’t make justice to it. It’s gorgeous!! All the team it’s very nice and they treated all my bridal party beautifully!! I’m beyond grateful. I will continue to recommend it to everyone who wants to get married 😍🫶🏼
Mary and her entire family are all so sweet and went out of their way to make sure the me and my husbands day was beautiful! I cannot say enough great things about not only the beautiful venue but also the entire staff ! The in house beautician Mandy Hill made me feel like a princess after my hair and make up was done and even though she wasn't planning to do my bridesmaids or mothers hair she ended up fitting them in last minute and made them just as beautiful ! The venue it's self is breathtaking and there is no way to feel unhappy there even in high stress situations ! I will be recommending this Venu to ALL of my school on to be wedd friends and family !
This is the most amazing venue! Just beautiful! Everyone is so nice and everything was taken care of. It is the perfect place to get married or for any other get together.
Best venue around! The staff is so personable and loving. We felt at home the whole time. Mary went over and above in all aspects of our wedding. There was nothing for us to be stressed about. I strongly suggest this venue for everyone looking!!
What an amazing place to get married. We had a "family affair" at Waverly Manor and it was the Best! Mary and Delores are wonderful. We had a bit of a communication error, but it all worked out. It piured just before my ceremony, they delayed everything and dried the seats and walkway when it stopped. (It still managed to sprinkle during the ceremony). Mary's daughter Mandy did my hair and makeup and did an amazing job on it. Mary's son Scott did our ceremony and did an excellent job of it. Despite a few hiccups and some rain, it was the best day and I wouldn't trade it for anything
Mary is by far the best! My husband and I got married June 15th, 2013. The venue was perfect, everything was perfect. Would recommend to anyone. We wanted a rustic feel to our day and they made it happen.
This venue was amazing. From the staff, atmosphere, food, music, decorations....it was a dream come true. Wouldn't have changed a thing. It was absolutely perfect.
First of all, this venue is absolutely beautiful. It is nestled on an old quiet country road. The venue location has gorgeous landscaping with huge trees, a lovely pond, and an old plantation house. Second, the service is phenomenal! Mary is very accomodating and kind. She is very creative, works around your budget, and is flexible to your own style. The decor was perfect on my big day. They definitely know how to make a space look stunning at Vineyards of Waverly Manor. While the decor and service are superb, the organization could use some work. The ceremony started without any problems but, the reception was a different story. We had asked that all of the guests could enter the reception with the buffet immediately open so that people could eat. Our wedding was at night, so we didn't want grumpy/hungry guests. However, when we got in, guests had eaten all of the hors d'oeuvre and were waiting for their food. We were told that the food would be ready momentarily, however almost two hours later the food was not served. This was in fact a nightmare during a reception full of hungry guests. We had people asking us why they hadn't received food and tons of people left before we did the bouquet/garter toss, the dances, or cut the cake due to this setback. The staff apologized many times, but by the time the food came out, our reception hall was nearly empty (all but our wedding party and a few close friends were left). In all of our photos of the reception, the entire hall appears empty, with tons of empty chairs. Not to mention that the groom and I were served raw food on our plates and had to ask to be served something cooked through. It was upsetting to be sure. Looking back, I think I would have just asked that they go ahead and serve what was made, instead of them waiting to put out all of the food together. I should mention that our menu was catered to us, and the venue was not familiar with how to cook it. However, in my opinion, when you are paying thousands of dollars to someone to cook something and they say they can do it, they should do test runs before having to serve it to 150 people. If you are considering this location, it is perfect for a ceremony and would be wonderful for a cocktail reception (not a full dinner service reception).
Let me start by saying that Mary is INCREDIBLE. She knows what shes doing and took care of everything. My wedding and everything included with my package was perfect to the T, with the exception of the DJ. I had so much go wrong... it poured down rain right before my ceremony started. They postponed and got out there with blowers and towels the second it stopped and still managed to get everything ready and perfect. My reception decor was above and beyond gorgeous. I gave them the idea, colors and general feel I wanted and they did it better than I imagined possible. Everything was gorgeous. My only complaint was communication before the wedding... it was sometimes hard to get someone on the phone when I was last minute bridezilla-ing. (LOL) And the DJ absolutely SUCKED. He lost our playlist and was asked multiple times to change it up bc nobody danced the entire time... and he still played bad music. But that was through no fault of New Waverly, everything else included in their package was exactly what I wanted and my wedding day was wonderful. Thank you so much Mary!
Mary and everyone at the Manor did an amazing job with my wedding. I actually live in Colorado so it was hard for me to plan a lot being so far away. Mary is so awesome at what she does though and took care of everything. If you want a stress free day with a beautiful ending get married here. The cake was outstanding, the reception hall was breathtaking, the food was to die for, the DJ was spot on and the fireworks were so much fun!! They literally do everything and it turned out greater than I could have ever imagined. Everyone at my wedding said it was one of the most beautiful weddings they had ever been to. I loved hearing that! I would recommend the waverly manor everyday. Mary can have everything set up for you and she even introduced me to a florist (which I was stressed about) and the florist went above and beyond for me literally making me cry on wedding day with her gorgeous arrangements and reasonable pricing! This was the best place to get married and I am so glad I found it off the knot. I would have missed out bad by going anywhere else! It was PERFECT!!!!!
This is a beautiful venue. My husband and I immediately fell in love with it. This venue has everything included (well almost) in the packages. Biggest warning is that when you go talk with them they make it seem like it's all included. However, in our situation we asked for things that we were told was in the package (after our contract was signed) and a lot that we wanted was an upgrade. They didn't make it seem that way when we toured the place! Just be aware when speaking with them. They are not very clear in the beginning. Also, lack of communication skills with the receptionist!
The place is beautiful and truly meant for a romantic wedding. The staff was all wonderful to work with. They all work together beautifully and gave me the perfect combination of listening to my ideas and offering advice- just what I needed. Felt very comfortable and at ease the day of because everything was taken care of. The venue is beautiful, homey, and exquisite all at the same time.
Waverly Manor is a Dream wedding venue and the staff there is incredible! Mary Elliot the owner has a true passion for what she does and you can tell its not just a job to her but truly a treat that she gets to do this for a living. From day one of planning up until the event I never had to rush around and get things together, I told Mary my ideas and she made them come true with the help of their wonderful and pleasant staff. During the planning I was in my first year of Dental school which is hectic enough and they made my life easy by getting everything together for me and making sure I had thought of all I needed for our big day! On top of making my day as the bride easy this place is also a great place for the groomsmen to chill and hang out prior to the ceremony. Waverly Manor has its own "man cave" for the guys so they can entertain themselves and relax before it all. I truly could go on forever but I'll tie it up with a quote from all my friends that attended the wedding which was, " This was the best wedding I've ever been to!!" Thank you Waverly Manor and special thanks to Mary Elliot

I cannot even begin to explain how I feel about Mary and the whole Waverly Manor team. From the moment my now husband and I walked into the house we fell in love. The place looks like taken out of amovie, espectacular. We knew right there that no other place will feel like this one. It felt like home. Through out the process of organizing the wedding, the waverly manor was open and attentive for my questions and concerns; and always available for advice.
My husband and I are very busy all the time. The fact that with Waverly Manor we did not have to worry about renting tables, linens, finding catering, and hiring a wedding coordinator was great. All their recommended vendors are really great too, we used their florist and their bakery.
The day of the rehearsal Mary was amazing working with our family and friends even when some of them did not speak a lot of English.
The decoration and setting were incredible, it felt like us completely. Throughout our wedding day Mary and her team ran around to make sure everything would run smoothly and exactly the way I wanted. Everyone was on top of everything.
Mary and Dolores made sure my hsband and I had dinner, and drinks. Everyone that as ever married nows how difficult is to do that duing your own wedding. They also made sure the wedding party had food while getting ready.
I won't ever forget my wedding day because everyone at Waverly Manor helped make my dreams come true.
We are forever grateful with Waverly Manor.
Wow...if only I could say thank you enough to Mary and her staff! Mary (who runs The Vineyards of Waverly Manor) is fantastic, she met with me several times, always returned my calls, gave me tons of suggestions, provided several vendors (and I loved all of them), and was there for me on my wedding day. I was never nervous or stressed out thanks to Mary and all of her crew. The food was outstanding the decor was gorgeous and the guests enjoyed themselves more than they had at any other wedding. They all kept asking me where I had found that beautiful hidden gem. Ladies - using this place makes everything just fall into place and so easy for a wedding! Mary, her staff, and vendors literally does it all - catering, photography, DJ, decorating, set up, clean up, cake, flowers, hair, make-up, officiant...the list goes on. Love this place - I will have to have an anniversary party here!!!
I will never forget the experience of walking into the reception room the afternoon of our wedding. I was in absolute awe. Stunned silence. The room was gorgous. It was truly a dream. Mary Elliot is a dream maker. All I can say, is trust her. She can and will make your wedding everything and more than you would ever imagine. She told me not to worry, and I didn't. She was there every minute from the start of our planning to the very end. The wedding was delightful, the setting was beyond what I imagined and my guests raved about how beautiful everything was that evening. I will be forever grateful for all the work that Mary did to make our wedding, truly, an affair to remember.
My wedding was a real life fairytale thanks to Mary and her staff! We got married on October 15, 2011 and the day was just a blast! She coordinated the whole day and I didn't have to stress about anything. She was so much fun and she really makes you feel special. It felt so comfortable and relaxing at her venue and she even dance with us! She really gets to know her clients and it's such a blessing to have that kind of relationship with your coordinator. I trusted her fully and she amazes me with how much talent she had. She made the grooms cake and it looked professional and tasted so amazing. I would never regret having my wedding here and for future brides, choose Mary and her venue! You won't regret it either!! We love you Vineyards of waverly manor!!
This venue was the absolute perfect setting! Just saying that the venue is beautiful is an understatement. The pictures in no way do it justice. You must visit. And, don't be turned off on getting there. You have to drive down a gravel road off an FM road to get to this hidden treasure, which adds to its charm. Because it's secluded and they only book one wedding per day, my ceremony was very intimate. I initially had some concerns about response time and communication. But, everything turned out perfect on my wedding day and I wouldn't have wanted to have my wedding anywhere else. They were even able to accommodate some last minute changes due to my guests the week of the wedding. She also helped give me tips that helped me save money. And, trust me - every bit counts when you get to the end and you've almost exhausted your budget. My guests are still talking about what a great time they had and how it was the most fun they've had at a wedding. Brides-to-be, if you want an oudoor wedding with a serene setting, you must visit Waverly Manor.
The Vineyards of Waverly Manor was the perfect place to have my wedding. Mary and her crew were so helpful throughout the entire process. I didn't have a single worry on the day of the wedding because Mary took care of EVERYTHING! I was able to enjoy my wedding day and I had a blast. The venue was gorgeous and everyone that attended had fun. Our cake was baked by one of the winners of the Ultimate Cake Off on TLC, which was included in our package. Mary introduced us to our florist who was perfect too.
My wedding day was beautiful and Waverly Manor was the perfect location! Everything went very smoothly and Mary was great at coordinating! I chose a photographer and DJ who were used to working at this venue and so I was very pleased with how smooth things went. The decorations were gorgeous and the food was very good. I have no complaints! Everything was great!
The venue was absolutely GORGEOUS! It was way more than what I expected and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Almost everything was included in the price. The florist was great and the food was delicious! The flowers at the reception were included, but we had to pay extra for the bouquets and boutonniers. The bride's cake is included, but we had it backed out because I had a family member making the cakes. Everything about the day was perfect! I couldn't have asked for anything more.
I was married on December 4, 2010 at The Vineyards of Waverly Manor in New Waverly, TX. I am from Dallas, so it was essentially a "destination wedding" without being too far from home!
I am 33 and this is my first time to be married. I waited a long time for my prince charming and wanted my day to be perfect. I do not have words to express how perfect it truly was! The setting at The Vineyards of Waverly Manor for our outdoor ceremony was breathtaking and the weather was perfect! The georgous manor house was a perfect setting for pictures, as was the outdoor gazeebo and the elegant reception hall!
Every detail was taken care of by Mary and her staff. I did not have one moment of concern during the entire planning period or wedding. I am a perfectionist and type A personality, so that is saying a lot!
The decor was better than I could have envisioned! Mary truly turned my dreams into reality! The food was fantastic, and everything went so smoothly thanks to the Waverly Manor staff. We even had an AMAZING fireworks show right before we left in the limo!! It was SO much fun!
We have had SO many comments from our guests about how truly elegant our event and the venue were! The satin lined walls and ceiling in the reception hall, coupled with the stunning crystal chandeliers truly brought a sophistication to our reception that was noticed by all!
The location was fantastic too! Most of our guests drove or flew into town for our event. We had hotel rooms reserved in both Conroe and Huntsville, and travel to and from both Dallas and the Houston airports was easy! We also had MANY guests comment about how much they enjoyed getting to know other family and guests as they all stayed in the same general area. They truly felt that it added to the experience for everyone for us to "get out of town" with our closest friends and family.
I cannot say enough about how happy I am that we chose The Vineyards of Waverly Manor for our wedding venue. I would recommend them over and over for ANY type of event!
