ome and boasts an incredible view of the Bay. The restaurant was wonderful too, with very nice and attentive staff and a creative selections. I got a protein bowl that was delightful and very fresh. The hotel is in a fantastic location as well!

modern. We stayed in 503 and it was very very clean and had wonderful views off the balcony. The bed was comfortable and the futon was decent enough (normally futons in my experience are bad). The TV’s operated well with crisp picture. The parking was pricey but it felt secure. I understand It is an older hotel, but it actually feels much newer.. We did not use the pool but it looked nice. Being able to hike the wetland area was a huge plus. We absolutely would stay here again. When reviews are like 5 5 5 5 and then 1 and then 5 5 5 and 1 it makes me wonder what the heck the 1 people were experiencing lol. We give it a 4.5 rounded to a 5. Great job on this one Marriott. One more thing we did have interaction with several front desk employees throughout our stay, and all of them were professional.

Newport Beach Marriott Bayview
We extended our stay in the Newport Beach/ Coast area by moving here from the Marriott Newport Coast Villas.
This was a perfect extension to our vacation.

Nice bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub.
Coffee/ Tea area and mini fridge.
The resort has a bar , restaurant and coffee area and there is comfortable inside seating or outside seating with a great view.
This location also sports several meeting rooms and Board Room size meeting rooms.
There is a small market - drinks but the shelves were a bit bare.
The staff was very helpful and our feather free room and Titanium level upgrade was accomplished.

Very disappointing- would not recommend. For the entirety of my stay the $40.00 parking pass I purchased did not work. About 5-6 separate times I had to press the “call for help” button that was never answered- this included being outside and u...
nable to enter the gate at 10:00 PM night. The front desk staff did not understand how important this issue was. Have never visited a hotel that had such a terrible level of service. The hotel has not made this right.

down hill from there. The young man was condescending and implied I had never stayed at a hotel before. When I expressed, I have stayed with the Marriott all over the country and for the uncovered and unsecure parking $40/night seemed excessive. He continued with a poor attitude, so I asked about the covered parking garage across the street and was told it was more expensive. (Not True) After paying for parking we walked to dinner and found it is $20 - gated and covered.
I was even more frustrated after check-in, when the young man made no attempt to explain any details that would have been helpful for our stay. He provided no information about the hotel layout, elevator locations, our room location, the restaurant hours or services. I actually had to ask him how to get to our room and he seemed annoyed. I have never experienced such poor service at any hotel before and I would never have expected it from my favorite brand. Our next visit to California we will not be be staying with the Marriott.
