Next Dimension Bakery is a dual veteran-owned and operated (as well as family ran) cottage bakery in the Portland Metro area. ✨ Innovative, artistic, adventurous, detail-oriented cake designs, with a flair for transforming unique ideas into stunning edible centerpieces. We specialize in no fondant cakes, instead we cover our cakes in our own handmade thin layer blend of rolled chocolate. We only use American buttercream, and our cakes taste just like grandma makes! Our cakes are fully custom, works of edible art! We deliver with a Cake Safe. Cakes - Sheet Cakes - Cupcakes - Dessert Bar - Logo/Branded/Photo Cookies - Artisan Breads Our artisan breads include but are not limited to Soft Pretzels, Cinnamon Rolls, Bread Loaves, Bagels. Our Artisan Breads are handmade with simple ingredients: flour, water, yeast, salt. No dough conditioners, no preservatives, no chemicals. This bakery is a smaller bakery, but they make up for it with wonderful cakes! They specialize in non-fondant cakes and use chocolate instead. Rob was able to take our ruffle cake vison and turn it into a masterpiece. He is a cake MASTER. Their almond cake is to DIE for. They also provide discounts for first responders and military which I find to be amazing. I highly recommend them!

This bakery is amazing, plain and simple. Throw in no fondant and you have the most exquisite cake for your event. Our cupcakes were gone instantly and we even got compliments about them at someone else’s wedding!

These folks did an amazing job with our cake. They are very professional and kind, and their communication was excellent. The cake itself was beautiful and delicious, and our guests were delighted by it. They offer a complimentary 1st anniversary cake, which we are going to be picking up in a little under a month. Amazing!

These two are the sweetest bakers with a passion and creativity to bake amazing stuff! They are very nice and professional. My fiancé and I ordered our wedding cake from them after I had met them at the wedding expo. I even ordered my birthday cake from them my entire family loved it! I even asked three days before hand for the cake and it was made as promised on time, As someone who is a retail manager I appreciate their genuine service and thoughtfulness. Don’t let the fact that they don’t have a store front throw you off ( store front yet?!.. hopefully in the future cause I would love to pop in for some baked goods) they have a very professional family business :D and I love that it’s local and they are veterans. They were even to work with us if we needed it

I had called many local bakeries in the area to see if they could create a Steampunk wedding cake for our Halloween wedding and each one fell short. Our venue (McMenamins Grand Lodge) recommended Next Dimension Bakery and once we looked at their website we immediately made contact and started working on ways to create our vision. They went above and beyond what we had envisioned. Our guests are still talking about how amazing it looked and how absolutely delicious the cake was. We couldn’t have asked for better customer service. They made it very simple to communicate and we enjoyed the cake tasting. If you’re looking for a wedding cake, birthday cake or any other baked goods, this is the first place you should check out. I’ll be going to them for all my kids’ birthday cakes from now on. Thank you again for making our special day that much more amazing!

We met this Baker at the Bridal show everything seemed on the up and up. Met them at their house for a Consultation and tasting everything was fine got a email with a quote. Asked for a couple changes as we were ready to book them but didn’t hear back from them for several months. Not good with communication and didn’t want that stress on our Wedding day so we went with someone else.

My daughter graduated from Oregon State University and I wanted to get an OSU Beaver cake for her grad party. I found Next Dimension on the Internet and filled out a request. I heard back from them right away I requested an old Benny Beaver cake and That’s what we got! And they even delivered it! It was perfect! I wish I could put a picture on here for you all to see. I’ll definitely use them for my next specialty cake!

They are so talented. The cake is delicious and amazing! They replicated my husband's tow truck! It was seriously one of my favorite parts of our wedding.

Absolute perfection!! I got so many compliments/inquiries as to where we got our cutting cake/cupcakes! The husband/wife team at Next Dimension is extremely accommodating and knocked everyone's' socks off with the amazing flavors!!

Excellent customer service. Responsive. I also know the owners personally. People on here must be used to grocery store quality or just cheap and finding ways to get a refund. It is a shame. You'll be glad you hired this excellent husband and wife team. We are!

Very rude customer service. Contract took way longer than quoted to receive. Delivery was late after compromising twice in favor of vendor. Final product not what was excepted. Dry, crumbled cake and bland, dry, or overly sweet cupcakes. Lines on cake not clean. Cupcake lines very unsymmetrical. Cupcakes on uncovered board (looked terrible in photos.) Rude at delivery; did not check with bride or groom or anyone else before leaving. Guests commented on the lack of customer service at the wedding. Terrible. Received an email from vendor after reviews read demanding they be changed. No resolution or offer to problem solve past the initial email offering to find resolution. Blew customer off with the statement “you’ve had your resolution”. Very unprofessional.

Their cakes are literally out of this world (they made a Star Trek cake recently that was incredible), and the people who work there are ridiculously nice and responsive. Loved my experience with Next Dimension and I love that it's a veteran-owned business too! Can't wait for more!

I had a great experience with Next Dimension Bakery. Not only are they local and I love to support a local small business, but they had confetti cake which is my husbands favorite. We only ordered a small cake for cake cutting and those that got a piece all wanted more and were very impressed with the taste. The ordering and pick up were easy, I also sent pics for ideas and my cake was perfect for what I wanted looks wise.

They were amazing! The cake turned out better than I could imagine it and it was so good! It was gluten free and I have never had gluten free cake taste this good! Rob truly loves what he does and is very good at it. They were very accommodating for me, I live in Alaska but got married there which is where I am from, coming in on a day they were closed for my tasting and just super helpful and communicated everything with me over email, which can be more difficult and time consuming. I will use them again in the future. I really can't say enough good things about them.

Met them at the Portland Bridal Show and fell in love with their cake. Very responsive to emails and they where able to add more cupcakes after our initial order. Our guests complimented the cupcakes Delicious! Kristina and Robert are so nice and made sure everything was according to what we wanted for our wedding. They are great to work with! Thank you for our wonderful cake and cupcakes!
