Gui did such a phenomenal job photographing my husband and I. I was honest with him upfront and said we're both kind of awkward when it comes to posed photos, and he took the lead and made the whole process so effortless! He gave us tips on where to look and where to stand, but also the photos still looked candid. Could not have asked for a better photographer.

Selecting Gui and Joe to photograph and video our wedding was one of the best decisions we made in wedding planning! From our engagement shoot where Gui made us feel comfortable and not awkward in front of the camera to integrating into our wedding day seamlessly, getting every shot I wanted and more. The photos speak for themselves too! Joe's eye for detail is impeccable and some of my favorite photos are of the small moments between my husband and myself on our wedding day. I was stressed about not getting all of the shots I wanted on our day because of the weather but Gui found a moment later in the night when the rain stopped to take us outside and get the most cinematic photos that I love. We weren't sure if wanted to have a videographer for our wedding but are so happy we decided on 98weddingco for videography as well. Joe and Gui worked so well as a team and Joe subtly videoed so many of our favorite moments on our wedding day. We had guests not even realize we had a videographer and yet our wedding video is perfect. 100% would recommend!

Gui is one of the best photographers I have ever met. He did our engagement shoot and our wedding photos and had been amazing throughout the entire process. My husband is a bit shy behind the camera and he was able to capture his best smiles and his best poses. As a person of color, it’s hard to always trust that your photographer will capture you in the best lighting and know how to photograph you. Gui exceeded our expectations. My husband even left his sunglasses at home that we planned to wear and Gui selflessly let him borrow his own pair so that we could get the look that we wanted for our photos! (Gui’s were way better anyway!). He even help me with timeline and helped ease any anxiety that I had about the aesthetic of the venue. He helped create and captured timeless moments and we will forever be grateful for him.

Gui and Joe have a passion for capturing special moments that comes through in their approach and stunning photographs. It was their first time at our venue but you wouldn’t know it from the photographs. They researched the venue ahead of time and within a few minutes of getting there, they found these mind-blowing spots and angles I never even knew were there. To say that Gui & Joe were the best decision of our wedding day, would be an understatement. These two are so talented, they produce beautiful work every time without a doubt. What makes them so special is that they truly care about you as a couple, it feels like having a pair of comfortable, calming, lovely friends with you the whole day of your wedding. When it came time for my ~husband~ and I to start scouting and booking vendors, working with 98 Weddings Co. as our wedding photographers was a no-brainer for us. Their style matched our mood board perfectly! As a Brooklyn based wedding/event planner myself, the logistics, details and timelines were also crucial for me. During the planning process, Gui & Joe were both so patient with our ever evolving mood board, shot list and day of schedule. They put so much care into the details of our very important day and it truly felt as if our day was as important to 98 Wedding Co, as it was to our families and friends. My husband is much better in front of the camera than I am and I can be a bit awkward when put on the spot. Gui and Joe were so great with direction and support. My wedding is in a little under a year, but Gui just sent us our gallery for our engagement shoot and let me tell you I am absolutely OBSESSED. How he took the both of us, the literal embodiment of potatoes, and made us look like we could be on the cover of Vogue, Esquire, GQ, whatever fashionable magazine you can think of is beyond me. Gui is a literal magician and I am in complete awe of his work. He was so kind and thoughtful throughout the shoot and made sure that we both felt comfortable during the process. Obsessed is an understatement with how our pictures turned out! Gui and Joe made my partner and I feel so comfortable, I felt like I was shooting with my friends. I loved that they gave us direction, but didn't make it seem unnatural or too posed. Gui's fashion background complimented the shoot, and he completely understood the assignment. Gui and Joe were great to work with for our engagement shoot in Central Park! I liked the vibe of their photography from instagram and saved a few examples on pinterest of what I was thinking and Gui easily made it happen. We are not very comfortable in front of the camera but they were so easy going and nice to work with. They gave great direction during the shoot but not so much that it felt unauthentic and stiff which is exactly what we needed. They recommended a few different locations in the park and I was so happy we got to shoot with many different backgrounds, it made for a lot of variety in our photos. The editing on the photos were excellent - warm and real, not overly airy. Highly recommend!

When I moved to NYC years ago, I started following them on Instagram and knew that no matter what, if I ever got married, this was who would shoot my wedding. Lucky for me, that's exactly what happened :) From the second we met Gui for our engagement shoot, we knew we chose someone who would make us comfortable, laugh, and really get to know us as people. My husband and I are both photo shy so I cannot recommend booking an engagement shoot along with your wedding photography! We got to spend so much time together and it made the day of the wedding that much more exciting. Gui and Joe captured us in a way I never thought was possible - you can really feel the emotions from the photos and that is so special to us. The photos are absolutely stunning, but their unique ability to so clearly capture your story and personality is what sets them apart. They tell a story in the most beautiful way. All 88 of our excited guests and their personalities were captured in her photos. One of the best decisions we made was hiring Gui and his team at 98 Wedding co. We were looking for a more relaxed, natural style to our wedding pictures and they completely delivered. Not only are they stylish people, but they are the best hype men during shooting. For someone who has never had someone follow them around taking pictures of them before they made me feel so comfortable and confident and it really came through in the pictures. We are so in love with all of our pictures and they are the perfect representation of our wedding day.

Gui was an absolute pleasure to work with! He made my husband and I feel so comfortable on the day of and the pictures turned out AMAZING. He delivered thousands of high-quality photos, which made it very difficult to pick our favorite ones. Amazing photography team. Gui and Bruna were incredibly respectful, gracious and the kindest team to work with especially during such a big event!
