Northern Arizona Glam Squad

Brianna of Northern Arizona Glam Squad was amazing at on-site hair & makeup for myself and my bridesmaids. She's truly talented and patient but also kept track of schedule for all of us, and has a great sense of humor. She was a wonderful part of the getting ready experience on my wedding day. Northern AZ Glam Squad, as a company, is a little cold in their communications leading up to the big day and as a bride, I would have loved better communication from the company just to assure me that they were in fact going to be there that day as a wedding is pretty important. I had to text them in the morning just to make sure they knew where to travel to and still got a bit of an attitude in the response. But they do follow through and do beautiful work in the end. Well worth it!

Overall, hair and makeup came out great in pictures. However, on the day of my wedding, when we arrived at the salon, we were greeted rather rudely. Granted we arrived a whopping 10mins late for the appointment which was scheduled for 3.5 hours for 3 people — myself, my mom and MIL. The whole experience felt rushed. My blush and contour were uneven on either side of my face. It had to be fixed, but if she would’ve been more attentive, it could’ve been avoided. It still didn’t come out perfect, but I had to settle or else I would’ve had to redo my whole face and we would’ve been late for the ceremony. At least you couldn’t tell in pictures, I guess. My eyeshadow was on point. As for hair, it looked great! I wish she had consulted me on where I wanted my hair to be parted, but she made the mid-part work out.

I am beyond thrilled with my wedding look from Northern Arizona Glam Squad! Living far away and not being able to book a trial, I was a bit nervous going into the day but Christine & Holly took my example photos and turned them into reality! Actually, even better than I could have imagined! My hair lasted ALL day (through some very windy moments) and my makeup was perfect. Christine's attention to detail shines through and everything was absolute perfection. You can tell these ladies take pride in their work and love what they do. I would hire Northern Arizona Glam Squad again in a heartbeat! Thank you so much!

Overall, I had a great experience with Christine and the glam squad. She was able to meet with me before hand and talk about what I was looking for. I never had a trial, but I felt comfortable with her and her services based on the consultation. I sent pictures of my bridesmaids and the styles that they were looking for as they were all out of town. Once the day was here, Christine and two of her girls arrived right on time. They were able to set up quickly and get right to work. I would have given them 5 stars, but one of the women that she brought was rude to my maid of honor and did not pay attention to how she wanted her hair to look at all. It all worked out fine in the end, and I was very happy with how everything turned out. They were able to redo my maid of honor's hair and remedy the situation. The other two women were incredibly polite and kind and I really enjoyed them. They were flexible and made sure that we were getting exactly what we wanted. I love the way everything turned out and it looks amazing in pictures. the one woman she brought definitely brought the experience down but they were able to come back from it. If it weren't for her, I would have given a perfect rating.

We hired Northern Arizona Glam Squad to do hair and makeup for my wedding in Flagstaff. 7 total services - 3 hair and 4 makeup - were to be done at the venue by Christine and another girl. Christine was not easy to communicate with via email and phone, and in-person started out to be the same on the day of my wedding. She started to prep my hair (curling, pinning back, etc.), after she insisted she did not need to see a picture of the hairstyle I wanted. When my sister asked if my hair was going to turn out the way I wanted (half up-half down), she said, "no!" and yelled at me and questioned why I didn't say anything. "Didn't you feel that I was putting all your hair up?!" I told her that I don't do hair, so I had no idea what her process was. She then told me to pull up the email with the picture of the hairstyle, while complaining how she was going to have to take my hair down and do something completely different. I pulled up the email I sent her with the pictures of the hair and makeup I wanted, and she insisted she never received them, even after I showed her the email I received from her replying to that email. She then said she had received my original email, but there were different pictures attached, which was ridiculous because I had the original sent email pulled up on my phone. The email I sent to her with the picture of the updo was sent in a separate email that specifically stated that this was the hairstyle one of my bridesmaids wanted. She finally did my hair the way I wanted, and it looked very nice. She also did my makeup, which looked really nice as well. My girls also looked very beautiful, so I am grateful for that. However, I would not recommend this place to anyone, based on how poorly I was talked to on the day of my wedding. I also did not like how they added 18% gratuity on before the services were performed. Based on our experience, I can see why. It is highly likely I would have given much less or nothing at all. Who would want to spend hundreds of dollars to be treated that way on their wedding day? Go elsewhere if you can.

Christine is awesome! She made the whole experience of getting ready for my wedding fun and relaxing. I'd never had a spray tan before and she made me feel cpmfortable and I loved the tan, manicure and pedicure she did !!
