My wife and I used Onyx entertainment’s services for our reception lighting and dj, and we were THRILLED. Everything looked great, the dj was fantastic and made sure to hit all of our requests while taking plenty of requests, and sticking to our do not play list. We also really appreciated the attention to detail before our wedding. People at onyx communicated clearly and made sure they understood our vision for our day through the whole planning process.

Onyx Entertainment was amazing! They are affordable, energetic, and professional. They asked us about our music preferences, used our suggestions as a guide, and expanded from there which is exactly what we were looking for. They helped keep the dance floor full through the whole night and played music for everyone!

I used Onyx for my son's Bar Mitzvah. The owner, Derek worked the event along with Daniel. Both were super professional! Good communication leading up to the event (which is super important for me), showed up on time and set up efficiently, and got the crowd going. They know what they are doing! We had them DJ, sing Karaoke and get the crowd signed up for Karaoke, and act as "hype". Would work with them 100% again! Also, we rented the photo booth from Onyx. Worked out great with some Green Screen backgrounds that I provided and some of their own.

I could not have asked for better help and experience than what we received when we hired Onyx Entertainment for our wedding!! I’m so thankful to have found Onyx Entertainment for our wedding! Although we have not experienced their expertise just yet because our wedding is in September, the entire planning process so far has been such a breeze. The communication and professionalism is top notch and as a future bride, having a vendor with exceptional organization and communication is key. ONYX entertainment was amazing for my wedding! Carson was my DJ & he was superb! I think I booked about 6-7 months out and communication was good. I filled out a questionnaire and then a few days before the wedding we had a phone call with Carson just to make sure we were all on the same page & it went great! Absolutely LOVED working with Onyx for my wedding. The whole team was great, but Robin was our main point of contact and was a dream. Very responsive to any and all questions that we had throughout the process. Angelo was our DJ for the wedding. He made sure to go over our questionnaire with us over the phone, and made us feel very at ease. We had some last minute changes to our music and he was very quick to make sure those changes were put in place. If I ever need a DJ service again, I would 100% use Onyx.

I enjoyed every interaction with Derek the owner he was so personable and honest. At no point did I feel like I was "being sold" in fact he mentioned things I probably would have overlooked or what worked best for other similar events. If you want your event to go smoothly and have all of your guests raving about how much fun they had- look no further. Onyx was so professional and communicative from start to finish. Our DJ was Jarrel and he was brought the best vibe to our wedding and took our requests and really customized/ added to make it so much better!! Will recommend Onyx and Jarrel over and over again. We also had a photobooth set up and they had the best props and quality photos. You can bundle so many things through them and I’m sure all of their services are amazing. Thank you so much!!

Our experience with using Onyx Entertainment for our wedding was exceptional! We hired Onyx for DJ services and Photo Booth services. Our DJ, DJ Jarrel, was phenomenal! He was very professional throughout the entire planning process, took into consideration our song selections and overall, as the bride made, sure I knew that he had everything covered for the ceremony and reception. He provided all of his equipment, with backups of everything just in case and offered to provide anything else additional we needed (lapel for officiant, extra mics for singers we had and allowed our violinist and pianist to plug into his speakers). As part of the planning, he outlined all of our special requests/songs & details in a shared iPhone note so we knew exactly was going to happen & that he had it all covered - which gave me a lot of comfort as the bride. We were SO happy with J's dj-ing and emceeing - he nailed all the introductions and special dances we had like the anniversary dance, grand entrance, last dance and all that. Having a great DJ was one of my top priorities as I was planning my wedding - and I'm SO glad I found Onyx during my planning process. Every guest we talked to said DJ J did a great job. I couldn't have asked for our DJ experience to have gone any better :) Thank you Onyx and THANK YOU DJ Jarrel!

I would just like to say, my family and I cannot recommend Onyx Entertainment enough. I work with Derek in Nashville but live in LA and when I told them we were looking for help with my Mom's wedding, him and his wife Taylor took over & made arrangements to FLY TO LA just to take care of my Mom's wedding. Derek provided a Photobooth, a 360 moving Video/Photo stand, he ran sound for my band at the reception at an outdoor venue which if you do music, you know how hard that can be and he CRUSHED it. Zero feedback, clear monitors, it was a dream having him run sound. He also was the most energetic and tuned in DJ I've seen in a long time. He worked tirelessly with my Mom and her new husband on the set list and made sure to incorporate all of their favorite songs that ranged through every genre you can think of. Derek had people dancing until the wedding ended at 1 AM. Not only did he handle everything just mentioned, he also put us in touch with an incredible videographer, Jonathan Bowman (J Bowman Creative), and took all of the stress of finding someone off of our shoulders. And then there is Taylor. Where to start with this peach of a human. Taylor shot my Mom's pre-wedding with both sides of the bridal party, the ceremony, post-ceremony by the beach and the reception. Not only are her photographs absolutely stunning and unique, she is quite efficient in the way she works. She came extremely prepared with a timeline and detailed shot list and handled our rowdy crew with grace, kindness, swiftness and patience. It's so important to have a photographer who knows what they are doing, knows what lighting is going to look best and knows what shots to get all while keeping everyone in a strict timeline - especially for a wedding when chaos is bound to arise. Taylor was also very patient with our edits and touch ups and made sure my Mom was nothing short of thrilled with the end product. All in all, Taylor and Derek are some of the most talented yet genuine and kind people we have ever worked with let alone met. My Mom is extremely particular and to have her be so out of her mind happy and excited with the way everything went down at the wedding and the way the photos came out is such a huge win. All we can say is thank you, Onyx!!!!! You made our family's special day so easy and beautiful. Thank you for everything!!!

We had DJ Logan for our wedding! He was so energetic super friendly and played exactly what we requested! He was making it a fun environment and getting the crowd engaged! I would highly recommend his company as they kept me informed the entire step of the way leading up to the big day!

My company hired Onyx Entertainment for our Annual Company Party two years in a row! We selected the bundle package each time, which included DJ services, karaoke and a photo booth. DJ Derek and Taylor were wonderful! DJ Derek gets us dancing on the dance floor each time and on-stage singing tunes. The music selections are upbeat and fun! Would highly recommend and would hire them again and again!

AMAZING! On time, super friendly and accommodating. Music was exactly what my daughter had wanted. DJ and photo booth definitely MADE the reception! Communication from the beginning and throughout the whole process was great and I have no complaints. Would recommend 100%. Just overall nice people!

Loved having Angelo as our DJ! He played all the music we loved and then some. Everyone I talked with at the wedding mentioned how professional and good he was. We got many comments it was the best music they’ve had at a wedding! We had everyone on the dance floor all night. Hair and makeup were completed ahead of schedule. Both lasted all night and looked amazing in pictures.

Onyx Entertainment is amazing! Our DJ was Angelo Amadeus and he was super flexible with some last minute adjustments both the week leading up to our wedding and the day of. The music questionnaire was really helpful for thinking through all the different music and entertainment parts and they had all the little extra tech things we needed like extra microphones and lights. The price was also super fair! We highly recommend!!

We have only great things to say about Onyx Entertainment. We booked a ceremony and DJ package and we were paired with Angelo. Angelo did an AMAZING job! He totally got our eclectic, nontraditional vibe and was down for all the jokes we wanted to include (of which there were many lol) he was professional, showed up on time, made sure he was accessible for any questions we might have, and he even got our parents out on the dancefloor! My husband and I got the bundle of photography, videography, and the dj. We have not stopped raving about everyone! Taylor was everything and more on our wedding day, she posed us, made sure the flower girls hair didn’t fall out, kept us on a schedule, and most importantly understood when everyone was done taking photos. Charles video I am anxious to see because he captured everything we wanted. He made sure to capture those small moments throughout the night. Derek kept the party going and understood when there were little snags in time. He had all of the kids out on the floor dancing around and even got the adults dancing too. We couldn’t imagine a more perfect team for our perfect day!

Onyx Entertainment made our big day for our vow renewal completely stress-free while exceeding our greatest expectations. I love that I could bundle several services, and they worked together to make everything happen. Onyx Entertainment provided the DJ, photographer, hair, makeup artist, and photo booth. Before our special day, all of the communication was very thorough and professional as they guided us through all the planning details. Our vow renewal was a dream, and Onyx Entertainment made our day seamless.

Onyx Entertainment did our music for our wedding beautifully! I was supposed to have the owner DJ our wedding, but unfortunately, he got sick right before. He let me know immediately and sent an incredible DJ in his place that was amazing at reading the room and keeping people on the dance floor! I loved this company so much and I am so happy Derek (the owner) was so flexible and transparent with me. I give 5/5 stars because our reception was incredible!

Derek, the owner of Onyx was always quick to answer all my questions. We ended up hiring both a DJ and Photographer. Taylor, the photographer took the time to talk before the wedding to make sure she knew exactly how to capture our special day. Jalon, the DJ became the crowd fan and played all our favorite songs. It was a small wedding but he kept the dance floor full! I definitely recommend Onyx for any of your entertaining needs.
