Great email response, helpful with other vendor recommendations and very accommodating
The place is great. I was told a lot of stuff that they said they would do but never did. They told me they would help with the guest and where to put presents and to help with putting presents in the car and the decorations. I had guest that were asking my wedding party were to go. They had no one to help my guest out. And since it’s a big place I am surprised they didn’t have someone to help out. I didn’t even know where the wedding coordinator went half the time.
Let me get straight to the point by saying, we chose to have our wedding at Orchard Creek Lodge and it was honestly the best decision we could have made. The entire process from start to finish was so seamless and wonderful, it really made wedding planning a fun, stress fee experience. I would highly recommend this venue for any event.
Just like many of you, I searched and toured dozens of venues and become quickly discouraged not finding one that seemed to fit my budget and all my wedding dreams. Then I happened upon Orchard Creek, made an appointment with Kathy to tour the venue and after touring and talking with Kathy I knew that this was the place I had been searching for. It seemed to good to be true! It was very affordable, fit our budget and had everything we were looking for, most importantly, it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! (Not to mention the adorable bridal suite!)
Kathy Cameron is truly an angel!! She is seriously the best ever! She is so sweet and hilarious and has so much experience in this industry, she was extremely helpful with the entire process and with any questions or concerns we had. She was always quick to respond to emails/questions and always willing to give advice and help in any way possible. She truly made the entire process very enjoyable and completely stress free!
Our wedding day at Orchard Creek was absolutely perfect! Everything was set up exactly as we wanted, the food was delicious, the entire catering staff was super nice and professional and very helpful to any needs throughout the entire night. I honestly can’t think of a single bad thing to say, it was just simply perfection! Many of our guests have told us that it was one of the most beautiful and most fun weddings they have ever attended.
If you feel overwhelmed in choosing a venue, I highly highly recommend at least taking the time to come tour Orchard Creek and chat with Kathy. You won’t regret it and you might just fall in love like we did!

Wow. I am very confident in my decision to rate this establishment a 1 out of 5 based solely on my interaction with the wedding coordinator Kathy Cameron. My interaction with her was a disaster from start to finish. My appointment was at 2:30 to discuss hosting my wedding at Orchard Creek Lodge, at 2:40 she pops out of her office to tell my mother and I that she’s almost done. 2:45 the group that was in her office leaves and she invited us in, does not introduce herself to me or my mother, does not apologize for being 15 minutes late and does not help us into her very small and disorganized office (we have a stroller with my 8 month old in it). Obviously my time is not important to this woman. We sit down and she starts asking questions about my wants and needs and needs me to repeat myself numerous times because she is not paying attention. She then hands me a stack of papers with a number scribbled on it. Did not go over any food or menu options, did not tell me what all was included in the price but instead says it’s all on the paper and to look at it. Okay I’m baffled. She then leads us outside and points to an awning and says that’s where the ceremony is, she doesn’t tell me how to get down there or where the chairs will be set up or anything then starts walking away when my mother asks “where would you get ready?” Kathy says “we’ll get there.” My mother asks okay but where is it so we have an idea of where it is in relation to the ceremony site. Again Kathy rudely says “again we’ll get there.” My mother says okay can you at least point to it and Kathy says “No.” At this point I’m ready to walk away because this is beyond ridiculous the amount of awful customer service this woman is providing. We have a stroller and are walking up the ramp while she goes up the stairs and she goes “no Kelsey come this way through this door. Okay we have a stroller please hold on. Kathy is obviously annoyed we aren’t going fast enough and then walks inside saying she will get the door. She doesn’t she just stands inside waiting for us. She then takes us into the ballroom where there is another event being set up and we are in there for all of 2 minutes before she leads us away, we dont even get to really look at the ballroom. She leads us to a cluttered back stairway that leads to the bridal dressing room and there is barely walking room and she could care less we have a stroller so my mother walks away with my son in frustration and Kathy continues the very quick tour. Then at what I believe was the end of the 20 minute appointment she walks away and says ok well you let me know and that was it. Okay so to sum it up.... 15 minutes late, no apology, didn’t explain anything, rushed through the entire tour, was rude and had the worst customer service skills I’ve ever seen. I have never been so baffled. What a huge waste of time what a disappointment. Kathy you clearly need to work on your customer service.
Our wedding was everything we wanted. All of our guests cants stop talking about how good the food was and how much fun they had. Our only complaint was the bar staff was a little rude but everyone was able to look past that and enjoy the evening

Meghan Louder and her team really know how to do weddings right! Not only was the process she walked us through fast and easy...they ensured we didn't forget any of the little details. Which was great since my husband and I only had 60 days to put everything together. The grounds are stunning and the staff had a true heart to serve us and our guests the day of the wedding. They made our wedding celebration a true experience to remember.
We were married at Orchard Creek Lodge 5-4-13. My FIL lives in Del Webb so we knew it was the perfet location, having seen it many times while visiting. The ceremony site was just redone and it turned out wonderful. The guest seating was nice with the exception of no shade, but otherwise it was perfect.
Our Daughter got married July 29th at Orchard Creek Lodge. It was the most amazing day for all of us. OC worked with us in all our needs. Meghan made us feel comfortable every step of the way. There were several food packages to choose from. The sample night was first class in a private room with Mom, Dad, Bride and Groom. The day of the wedding we were put into Don's hands. He and his team were all wonderful to all of us. The venue is so beautiful...the photos are great. A big thank you to Meghan and Don and their teams. We would send friend and family to OC for any event.
We were very impressed with this venue! Not only is it one of the most beautiful venues I have ever seen but it was excellent value for money, the service was exceptional from all the staff, in advance and on the day, and the food was incredible.
For the style and level of service I would have expected to pay much more than we did.
Do not be put off by the location (as its in a community for the over 55's), it's not a problem at all, you barely even notice.
If you want an exceptional venue with excellent food and service - this is the place! We don't have a single complaint!
I am so glad that we decided on using Orchard Creek Lodge for our venue. We looked at six places and this was by far the best venue. Megan Louder who is the event coordinator helps you and makes suggestions on how to plan and organize your wedding. She is very knowledgeable & has lots of experience. Megan was wonderful to work with. Megan is not a wedding coordinator so you need to make sure that you have a great DJ or get a wedding planner to make sure the timing of the day goes smoothly. They also do a tasting a few months before the wedding so you can taste the food in your choices to pick out what you want to have served. When you do this everything is set up just like it would be for the wedding and is done very professionally and the food was fantastic. The day of the wedding we set up the decorations for the outside ceremony and the table decorations in the reception hall. Everything else as far as table settings they do and they did a superb job. During the wedding, Don and his staff took care of all the food and servings and clean up after the wedding. The staff was very accommodating to everyone. We only had to worry about our things from the wedding. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and the perfect setting for a wedding. The reception was awesome and no problems. All I can say is that it was the perfect wedding and the perfect venue to have a beautiful wedding. I would recommend the Orchard Creek Lodge to anyone who is planning on getting married and wants the perfect setting. If I ever need a venue for any special occasion I would use Orchard Creed Lodge for my celebration.
We could not have found a better venue then the Orchard Creek Lodge for our Wedding Day. We wanted our wedding day to be in one location, so we wanted a place that had a wedding ceremony site, a place for the cocktail hour and a ballroom. The Orchard Creek Lodge had provided us everything on our list, plus more. They provided us with options to where we wanted your ceremony to take place, an area for your cocktail hour, a ladies dressing room area, a ballroom with a huge dance floor, three large projection screens to play movies or slideshows, delicious food (including a carving station for buffet style), halo halo dessert bar and a place for our photobooth. This place is also on a golf course which made a beautiful background for all of our pictures.
We worked with Meghan and she is truly a GEM! She helped us make decisions for our wedding and was always available to answer our questions. She and the staff were all very accomodating towards us and our guests. We recommend the Orchard Creek Lodge for all occasions.
First off, I like to say this venue is BEAUTIFUL! It is so breath taking. So many area's to take pictures. The staff was great and professional and nice.
Getting emails answered back took more than I wanted but be sure to just call rather than email to get what you want.
The food was FANTASTIC! oh my gosh, my guests were so happy.
The only thing i did not like is that it our time frame ended at 3pm...which meant we started cleaning up at 3pm...and another wedding already started moving in everywhere even in the dressing room, while I was trying to get out of my dress!! It was horrible....we still had a while to clean up and didn't recieve that time and ended up rushing almost forgetting things.
So that freaked me out a little bit...because I wanted to make sure I had everything....but they kicked us out so quickly....so sad. I don't think a venue should have more than 1 wedding in a day.
The wedding planner is a nice guy but is alittle too passive. I think they need someone more agressive to get things done....I rarely could find the wedding planner and neither could my wedding party when we needed him....my guests first arrived for the ceremony and nobody knew where to go or where to sit...and no one could find the wedding planner....so that was a little annoying.
Other than that it was beautiful! of course when you're in the heat of your own wedding all you care about is your Husband and getting married :)
ps. if you chose this venue make sure you ask A LOT of questions and get ALL of them in writing! everything they say they give you needs to be in writing!
First I would like to say that after seeing the wonderful job they did I am very glad I used this venue. My only complaint is that the wedding coordinator could be difficult to work with and greatly under-represented the venue.
This venue is absolutely beautiful which was the biggest plus for me. This was hands down the nicest place I found in the area for the price range. The ceremony is held right next to a large pond and the scenery is lovely. We had an afternoon wedding and the brunch buffet was amazing. Everyone was commenting on how good the food was and how beautiful everything turned out.
They have an "Event Coordinator" but not a "Wedding Coordinator" so you need to make sure that you have a great DJ or get a wedding planner to make sure the timing of the day goes smoothly. Also, expect to rent extra hours because the ballroom setup time tends to land during the ceremony/cocktail hour.
I had some issues with the wedding coordinator because she tended to be a bit snooty and made it sound as if you should be having other venders (i.e. a wedding planner) handling things instead of them.
In reality they did a great job with organizing the basics of the day and they did much more than I expected from the initial meetings with the event coordinator. Everything went fine with a great DJ and a couple of extra hours of set up time.
There is also different person in charge during the rehearsal and the day of the wedding and he was easier to work with and much more helpful in explaining what they were and were not in charge of.
Lastly, I'd ask them to test the fountain during your rehearsal. They tell you that the fountain in the pond will go off when they pronounce you husband and wife but it did not work during our ceremony. I know someone who got married there a few years ago and had the same problem.
All in all I don’t think things could have gone any better and I am really happy that I choose Orchard Creek Lodge.
The locations was great. We did run into a few issues with having to deal with several different people due to new staff. Also, they prefer to communicate via email and sometimes that was a problem for us.
Were so happy we went with Orchard Creek because of the beautiful scenery and also the staff was great. I wasnt so happy with Meaghan who is the coordinator there but a man(who has more experience) who she said was going to handle the wedding day for me instead, was awesome! He took care of everything!!!! The ballroom is beautiful as well and the rest of the staff took care of us. Thank you Orchard Creek!!!!
I just loved the view. The ballroom is expansive and the dance floor is extremely large. The food was wonderful.;I had a smaller wedding and didn't fill the space as well as a larger wedding would. I also didn't quite like the way one of the wedding coordinators spoke to me. She was brash at times.
Our reception was gorgeous! It was held in the Orchard Creek Ballroom at the Sun City Lincoln Hills location. The facilty is situated on the golf course, bordered by luscious gardens and the landscape is gorgeous! There are fountains everywhere with running water. It is just specatcular! Our wedding photos are just perfect! Everyone kept asking my husband and I how we found that gem of a location for our reception. We live nearby, that's how! It is a gem to those who know about it!;You would be doing yourself and your guests a huge dis-service by not looking at or booking this location for your upcoming wedding!
It was on a golf course that had a man made lake and a waterful to take pictures. So, when you took the picture in front of the waterfall it looked like you were in the middle of the waterfall. Very beautiful views at this golf course.;The two lady's who are the wedding coordinators are very abrasive and don't seem to care about your concerns. They are rude and try to tell you how to do your wedding.Plus, they did not let my florist sprinkle any rose petals on my guest's tables because they did not want to stain their linens even the rose petals were white, my florist and the wedding coordinators got in a fight on my wedding day due to this reason. My florist has refused to do a wedding again at this site due to these two coordinators. Plus, the ballroom were we had our reception was very warm and I as well as some guests complained about the heat and asked them to crank up the air conditioners.
I love this venue beacause it had absolutley beautiful back drops for our photos... it also helped the corrdinator wass fabulous!
