This place is AMAZING! When I read the reviews I was unsure of what to expect, but we were warmly welcomed, able to check in early, & had an INCREDIBLE view of the ocean (oceanfront room). The rooms are a bit older, but very well decorated and ...
clean. The beds were comfortable and it was honestly one of the best showers I’ve ever had! I did not see any construction, had no trouble with valet, no noise issues from other guests whatsoever. Everyone who works here is super nice & accomodating. If you call before you head down to the beach, they even go out and set up chairs and an umbrella for you! Our daughter loved playing with the provided boogie boards and toys. It’s within walking distance to Ralph’s, a beach park & playground, and lots of delicious restaurants. The best part is that it’s affordable. Don’t listen to the other reviews- STAY HERE! We will be back soon!

The room was nothing like the photos on the hotels website (old carpet, couch, & dining table, stayed in a 2 bedroom ocean view) but we slept well, the ac worked great, and the service staff was amazing. We ate at the driftwood and the the dec...
k. The food was great at both establishments. The location is excellent. View was nice and loved being able to walk to Forest St. to shop. Valet is expensive, but having a car in Laguna is an anchor.

It is a clean place to lay your head. Very small but clean. The walls are thin but it wasn't too bad. The bathroom is really small with a coffin sized shower but Iike I said, it's clean and the people were nice. We had a nice view of the street...
but we were hardly there. I'd recommend if you're going to be out and about the majority of your stay.

Great location directly on the water. The rooms were a little worn out, had trouble closing our door, screen door wouldn’t close all the way. But, you’re on the ocean listening to the waves all night in the expensive rooms. It was worth the ext...
ra money being on the water, but the pristine rooms advertised are not present. Sheets were clean, and housekeeping and staff were great. Food was expensive.

Was told room had a view of the beach. It did. But also a view of the alley & all the buildings ON the beach. Very noisy. Could not hear the surf.
See a room map before u book.
Good service. Clean.
Sorry. Not sorry.

RUN DOWN! Our room was right on the beach. Nice view and sounds from the waves. The room was very run down and unsightly. Not dirty or uncomfortable, but run down. They need to invest more on upkeep/remodeling. I’ll let the photos speak for the...
mselves. Won’t stay here again or recommend to anyone.

First night had to move rooms because of a broken air unit at 3:30am, tossed and turned the whole night. When I reported unit was making a very loud unit, their response was initially, "well can't you just turn it off". I said “no! my child is ...
hot. “ Moved rooms, did not sleep at all that night ruined whole next day. The next night, while in the shower, shower head burst right off. I had to get dressed and again go down to office. Was asked once more to move rooms. I said no, not again. They had someone fix it. I asked to speak to manager, never heard from anyone. Too expensive to be dealing with these issues and moving rooms. Pictures are deceiving. Will never go again and don’t recommend anyone to waste money. Management finally reached out after posting poor reviews on yelp, saying they will "consider" my experience. Not good enough! That was my birthday weekend planned for along time. I saved money for a relaxing weekend with my child. Will not get that time back. Thanks for your "consideration", but no thanks. Give guests the quality stay that they are paying for, period.

Highly would recommend you not staying at this hotel. At least they let me cancel it immediately I don't even know what the stains were on the curtains and the carpet. Not to mention the smells. "Ocean view" is also a stretch. With a corner u...
nit that over looks the outdoor hallways.
One of the worst hotels I have ever entered.

Front desk guy was not friendly, borderline rude. I had to carry my heavy suitcase all the way up to my room which was the top level which was a difficult struggle. No elevator was a big surprise & problem. Down again when leaving was not eas...
y either. Another punch in the gut was a $45 charge to park my car with valet the only real option. Very unfair, these things should've been disclosed beforehand. Entrapment, really. That plus Extra facilities fees & taxes when I already agreed on a final price of $233.10 drove up the cost to stay there for 1 night to be $343.51. I cannot believe the unfair treatment I received at this hotel. Although the room was nice, it didn't nearly make up for the bad experience. I am describing my experience truthfully. If this hotel wanted to redeem their reputation at all they should offer fair compensation right away.

Not worth the money. The staff is unfriendly, especially the gentleman that handled our "concierge service" if you can call it that. The rooms are not worth the price, broken appliance and bathroom, a bit dinghy. None of my requests was never t...
ended to. Ours was a beach view, that was nice. Hearing the waves and being on the ocean. However, the beach was generally taken by people not staying at the hotel. So get there early if you want a good seat. They take little pride in this hotel. Also never gave the "perk" they offered online. They do have a heated pool, which came in great. And a very kind woman on the service crew. If you wanted to make it right you would compensate not only for the inconvenience but also ACTUALLY give the perk you advertised. That is false advertising.
