Rick was was wonderful to work with. The wedding ceremony and reception were at the same venue. He arranged all of the music for the ceremony outside and everything went flawlessly! Then they rocked the house for the reception and kept the dance floor full. They were so much fun and engaged the crowd. Thanks Rick and Phat Hat!!

Booking a good band was my biggest stressor for my wedding. But then I found Phat hat and they exceeded all expectations. Rick was excellent to work with and had great ideas to make everything even better. Band was set up and playing right on time. They blew everyone out of the water. 10/10 would book again.

Phat Hat Band was amazing from the start. Easy to communicate with, friendly, punctual, and professional. They made sure our contract listed exactly what we asked for in detail and they delivered it all. Amazing Sound! Great Vibe! We wanted a live band that could provide light jazz during our cocktail hour and then kick it in with some great dance music. The dance floor stayed packed with a range of ages which tells me they are timeless! When we contacted Rick from Phat Hat the first time, we weren't sure of how we wanted to have things flow throughout the reception. No problem. Phat Hat does this all the time and Rick talked us through it. He is great to work with. He provided a sample list of their music in advance. We would love to share it here but we can't begin to list the artists they cover. There are so many good ones, but it’s very impressive. Thank you Phat Hat! The Phat Hats put on a FABULOUS, high-energy party in true south Louisiana fashion for our daughter’s special day. The dance floor was never bare and filled with our friends and family dancing until their feet hurt. If you want to impress your people from out of town with a good time, we recommend the Phat Hats!

Highly recommended! This band is everything that you want for your special day! We booked them in 2021 for our first sons wedding. Everyone loved them so we booked them again for our second sons wedding this past weekend.

If you're considering Phat Hat as your wedding band...BOOK THEM NOW. Rick was so organized and communicative. They were flexible with our requests to personalize our reception. Every single guest commented on how incredible the band was. They showed up and showed out. We had the best time. Wendell is insanely talented, along with the rest of the band. They know what they are doing. I hope we get to throw another party soon and hire them again. If we could do it all over, we wouldn't change a thing. Can't recommend them enough.

They’re a great band and everyone really enjoyed dancing while they played. They quit playing pretty abruptly about 15 or so minutes before the end of our contract, our coordinator had to remind them to come back on and announce the send-off, they had already taken two 25-minute breaks that weren’t mentioned in the contract, and a couple requests made very explicitly in many emails and texts weren’t followed through with. Everyone had a great time, but a few missteps left me a little disappointed at the end of the night :(

These guys were phenomenal! They have some truly great talent on stage. They played music that catered to every age group and kept the party alive all night. The horn section got out in the audience and that’s something that your guests will tell you they loved. You won’t regret booking this group.

If I could give 10 stars out of 5 I would! There's no way words are going to be able to describe just how AMAZING the Phat Hat Band was for our wedding reception. First of all, my now-husband is a drummer, and his dad was a drummer in a wedding band, so the standards were set very high when booking a band for the wedding. I searched for weeks online for the right fit, and when I showed hubby the Phat Hat Band, he finally said "they're it!" Honestly though, their great communication and professionalism leading up to the event were only glimpses of how downright AMAZING this band was every second of our big day. They know what they are doing!!! Every single guest at our wedding came up to us with jaws dropped going "Oh my god, this band is so good!" They ROCK. They're romantic. They're charismatic. Their sense of timing is perfect. They understand the flow of a wedding reception. They're funny. They're helpful. They're generous. They're smooth, dare I say sexy. And they're so so so incredibly talented. Special thanks to Rick and everyone in the band for learning "Dancing in the Moonlight" for me, and "Listen to the Music" for the groom! We will be back in 5 years to throw another bash and the Phat Hat Band will be our first call to book again!! P.S. We had some really last minute curveballs thrown our way, and the band rolled with it like heroes. Forever grateful to the Phat Hat Band. P.P.S. They could probably charge twice what they're charging and get away with it because they're that good. But I really hope they don't because people like us want to be able to hire them again!

Phat Hat Band was exceptional for our son's wedding! Rick was so easy to work with and communicated with us throughout the process. They were punctual, extremely professional and were the perfect wedding band. They knew how to keep a crowd on the dance floor and were extremely interactive. They catered to the bride and groom and made them the focus of their entertainment, while at the same time drawing in all the guests to celebrate the couple. The members of the band are professional in every way and obviously have been playing together for a while because their chemistry was excellent. They could play any genre and even took requests at the end. I would highly recommend hiring Phat Hat for your wedding reception or next event! They were the absolute BEST!

BEST WEDDING BAND EVER. Truly amazing and so perfect for our big day. Rick was a breeze to work with and even MC'ed the rest of our event last minute (i.e. ceremony, speeches, first dance). Nearly every guest said that the band was phenomenal. One guest in a different room was actually convinced the band wasn't actually performing at the time because it sounded exactly like the recording. I'm SO glad I booked them! Easiest contract to sign.

This is one of the best live bands in the Gulf South! Maybe I am bias because it was our wedding, but they were probably the best wedding band I have ever heard. Extremely professional and so easy to work with. They are absolutely worth every penny, I can not recommend Phat Hat enough. We received constant feedback from wedding guests on how impressive they were!

Highly recommend! We received countless complements on how fun our band was. From the beginning, Rick with Phat Hat was responsive, professional, and organized. We were able to book them quickly and sign a contract. Our wedding was in my family's backyard so Phat Hat was communicative on what electricity was needed and any answers needed to get everything set up. Phat Hat is as good as it gets when booking a band or event! Rick is so easy to work with and they worked with us during a busy French quarter fest to accommodate the most complicated loading/unloading for their gear. PH has the absolute best sound and rocked our wedding all night. It was and incredible evening and was made that much better because we chose to have them be a part of the reception.
