About this vendor
Our comfort zone as far as group size is between 40 and 120 people. Smaller groups are handled a little differently and usually involve a conversation. Our window of opportunity for parties of 40 or more is pretty much Memorial Day to Labor Day, with possibly a week or so on either side of that. We can count on the weather cooperating and that is what typically happens. Our property would be very difficult to tent because of the trees. Weddings in particular are very special days. We only do about 5 per year to keep them exceptional for you and for us. We are looking for couples whose aesthetic and vision match ours.

Philo Apple Farm was a perfect fit for us and our intimate wedding of ~45 guests! We absolutely loved the Apple Farm's sensibility and really appreciated its history as a multi-generational family-run operation. We wanted our wedding to be as stress-free as possible, which made their all-inclusive approach very appealing. We rented out the 4 cottages on site for our unofficial wedding party and ourselves and local Airbnbs for our families nearby for the duration of the weekend.
There is a lot of care and charm to the place, but it's not fussy or trying too hard. Throughout the whole process, we really trusted that everyone at the Apple Farm was an expert in what they were doing. We intentionally had a very light hand on much of the decisions regarding food, flowers, and decor. Much of this was dependent on what was in season, and we were very happy with that.
We opted for their "Roving Feast" option (no assigned table seating), which allowed our guests to roam around, play with the dogs or visit the goats, relax by the fire, and mix and mingle. A delicious variety of food was brought out throughout the night, and instead of a traditional cake, we went for their absolutely scrumptious strawberry shortcake.
Everything was exactly what we had hoped for: good food, vibes, and company in a spectacular setting. Wouldn't have done it in any other way.
We did small jam jars from the Philo Apple Farm and they were wonderful - our guests loved them and we were lucky enough to order some extra so we could try all the flavors. They are so fresh and delicious, such a treat.
