Amazing experience. I went to a few other places, including alts, before I found Remziye at Pinpoint Bridal. She was on a Kleinfield's recommended list. She is amazing! You instantly see that she loves working with beautiful gowns, especially bridal gowns. She is a perfectionist who will look at every part of how a dress rests on you and she makes sure it fits beautifully. I had a beautiful old lace dress that I was going to wear only to a Gatsby party but bc she made it so beautiful I'm going to wear it to the courthouse for my wedding. She is wonderfully skilled, a beautiful person, and just so experienced with dresses. She even made me a headpiece from the extra lace. She was quick and we had one fitting and she made adjustments immediately. Don't make the mistake and go anywhere else!
After a mishap with the alterations department at the store from which I bought my wedding dress, I brought my dress to Pinpoint Bridal about two months before my wedding day. I needed some pretty significant work done to my dress, and I was met with "no problem, we can do this" instead of "this is really short notice, we'll do what we can" (like I had heard from another alterations place). Her sense of calmness and confidence in her work was very reassuring. She altered the size of the dress to make it fit me like a glove, added a bustle, built up perfect short sleeves on an originally sleeveless gown, and was beautifully creative in how she approached my every request. At one of my appointments, I requested she change one minor detail on the sleeve, and she took out her sewing kit and adjusted the sleeve on the spot! she wanted to make sure I loved the sleeve before I left the store. I cannot recommend this place enough.
The artistry Pinpoint used to build up a bridal dress from off the shoulder to a dress with sleeves and a back was remarkable.
Their skill and workmanship was remarkable. Be sure to leave yourself enough time though as quality of this level cant be rushed.
Beautiful alterations but somewhat pricey for minor alterations. However, you will look amazing!
AMAZING work with my dress. They did all my tailoring and the end result was fantastic. I got three fittings, everything was on time and easy. Fatima really knows what she's doing, and is lovely to work with. Thank you so much!
The owner is amazing. My wife and I both had our dresses tailored here. They did a great job and were prompt.
I had my suit altered here as a favor as they typically do not handle men but I must say, It fit amazing and I couldn't;t be happier.
Super Friendly Staff. I was very happy with my Bridesmaid’s Dress Alterations especially because I live out of state and did not have much turnaround time.
If you are having ANY alterations done, whether big or small, please have it done here ! I made the mistake of going to a local seamstress on Long Island who had no idea what she was doing. I became so unhappy with how it was looking that I started to second guess if I had made the right decision in buying this dress in the first place. After a meltdown, my fiancé researched and found Pinpoint bridal with raving reviews. When I brought my dress in, the ladies there knew exactly what the other seamstress had done wrong and fixed it right there on the spot! That was the first major fix they had made, along with many other fine details that the other seamstress never would have picked up on. They fit my dress perfectly to my body and yet still made it so comfortable for me to move around in. I am absolutely amazed with their work and will only recommend brides to bring their dresses here ! You will thank me later !
Pinpoint tailored my after party dress and did a wonderful job! They have a keen sense for customer satisfaction and was very happy with their work!
had my wedding dress from BHLDN altered here and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. My dress fits perfectly now, and the ladies in the shop were so wonderful to work with. They listened to what I wanted and did an amazing job. I was also pleasantly surprised how fair the prices were. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking to have any wedding dress alterations!
PLS READ BEFORE BOOKING*****I went to Kleinfelds for my wedding dress. After booking my appt, I stopped into their beautiful and professional sample store and immediately fell in love and purchased my dream wedding gown. The rep there referred me to pinpoint bridal. While I already use a tailor who comes to my home, I felt that I wanted the "experience". I needed the following done: 1) the dress taken in (a lotttttttt) 2) the beading fixed 3) the bustle + hem and 4) the dress cleaned.
***THEY MAKE YOU PAY ALL CASH ***
The first fitting was normal aside from the pressure to pay all cash. the assistant was pleasant and gave our group a lot of time. We agreed on alterations and sent the dress in to have the alterations done...and I couldn't wait to go back.
THEY BOOK SUPER CLOSE TO YOUR WEDDING DAY ....Everything went downhill after the first fitting. On the second fitting, I could tell that the dress HAD NOTTTTT been taken in. I was told "that I lost weight". (I did not.)
ALTERATIONS WERE NOT DONE ****
There is no argument- the dress was not altered. For the third appointment, the beading was supposed to be fixed and The bustle was supposed to be done. The beading was NOTTTTT fixed but we were told it would be finished during the cleaning ($250 deposit and the total at this point was only supposed to be $450 including the cleaning).
I went to pick up the dress which was already sealed which I KNOW IS NOT how it is EVER done in any reputable bridal salon AS I HAVE BEEN TO MANY.
You alwaysssssssss try on the wedding dress after it is complete. Alwayssssssssss.
But guess what, the studio was packed and the assistant double booked over my appointment. The dressing rooms were taken and there was no room to try on the dress. I reluctantly took the dress home and opened the bag.
******Nothing had been done. My beautiful wedding dress still has the beading falling off and is dirty at the bottom with hemming and other material hanging off. After spending well over the $500 that we were quoted. Thankfully, I opened this bag before my wedding day. (Unfortunately unlike some of the previous brides who posted before me)

Ladies, spare yourself the time and manipulation. There is so much to do, don't add on the stress of this tailor as well. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

In response to the post below mine, when you do bring up that your dress is unaltered while you are in the studio, the response the staff gives to customers is that "alterations were done"...and they argue trying to convince you while your dress falls off!

I would recommend actually doing the alterations before this place gets shut down.
Honestly if I didn't think I would end up losing the money I gave them plus all the time wasted in going there in the first place I would've gone else where after the first appointment. They were mediocre at best and my dress still did not fit 100% right when I took it with me. That is after she had to fix it twice on my last appointment a week before my wedding. My straps were not okay but the lady helping me already tried once to fix them and I didn't want to stay there any longer. I love my dress but wish I had gone somewhere else to get my alterations done. Additionally they completely ruined my mothers veil. Just avoid! Go somewhere else, this was probably the only bad part of my whole wedding experience.
I wasn’t super impressed with Pinpoint. They did a fine job on the dress but I felt like every time I went there they were distracted and not super helpful. While the quality of the work was fine the customer service was sub par.
Not great customer service. Everything turned out well in the end but they actually got a stain on my dress. They got it out but they shouldn't have gotten it on in the first place. Plus every time I went they had me waiting why they tried to "find" my dress in the back when I'm pretty sure they were working on alterations they hadn't finished.
It turned out fine in the end but wasn't great customer service and was a lot of stress I didn't need. Would not go back.
I brought my wedding dress for alterations and am completely satisfied with the final results. The turn around time was fast and the end result was professional finished bridal gown. I brought my wedding gown from Essence of Australia mermaid duchess satin with overlay of lace and beading to Pin Point Bridal. I had lost a lot of weight and dropped at least dress 3 sizes and they did a fantastic job taking under 3 weeks time!! So impressed, I would recommend them to any bride looking for affordable professional and personable service.
Great job with the alterations, affordable, quick turnaround, great fit.
I hate writing this review. I hate writing this because the staff really did spend a lot of time with me through way more fittings than average, working out small issues like a strap not falling as it should and the collar being too high. They did great work on those trouble spots. The big problem here though is the hem. After the first round of adjustments, I still had concerns about the hem being too long. They pinned it again and said they'd take it in a bit more. By my last fitting, it didn't seem any different and I had the same concerns. The woman behind the counter convinced me of the following points: the length is as it should be, it's not on the floor, you will not step on it. Needless to say, I spent a lot of time stepping on my dress at the reception. I tripped over it a few times which was awkward and embarrassing. I'm not saying these women aren't good tailors (they are very talented), I am saying they're not necessarily going to be looking out for your best interests and you should trust your gut.
brought in my kleinfeld sample dress here they ruined the style to horten it and they were supposed to sew in a bra to give support. they assured me thi would work and well it didnt my dress was falling off the whole day :( they recommended and traditional butsle when i tried it on it pulled th dress down then i had to pay another 250 for a french bustle - really? why would they recommend the traditional in the first place knowing that weight of the dress? i am so disappoineted in the attitude and work that was done by this place. a month later i am still so upset and to add to it most of my wedding pictures look like crap because my dress is so ill fitting :( ive actually been considering getting my dress fixed again and redoing our pictures :( i spent $675 to have my dress altered and boy do i regret it!
I had a bridesmaids dress altered there and when I picked it up, it had a stain down the front of it that was not there previously. When I asked the owner about it, he said “it’s IMPOSSIBLE for it to have been our fault, it’s not like we’re eating pizza while sewing your dress”. My response – “It is POSSIBLE to get stained as its being handled for alternations”. When I asked if they had a way to treat stains on the bridal gowns they sell, he continued to repeat “I’m not taking responsibility for that”. Let’s hope they take their bridal gowns more seriously than their bridesmaid’s gowns.
I went to this location with a dress that I had bought elsewhere and wanted to have significantly altered. Basically, I asked them to take my dress with straps, and make it strapless.
They were very easy to work with, and worked very quickly. The only concern that i had was that when I got the dress home from the final fitting, I noticed that they had not sewed on the fastening hook. I knew that I could have taken it back and had it fixed, but at that point, I knew that I could just fix it myself.
Overall good experience, but seemed very expensive!
This was where i had my david's bridal gown altered - small shop with amazing prices and she did an incredible job - took only 1 fitting!;The owners heavy accent sometimes causes things to be lost in translation ( like 3 days before i was told the dress just needed to be pressed - yet i needed to come in and try it on first and she either didn't mention that or i didn't grasp that in our conversation) - but she did deal with it quickly for me at no extra cost or confusion
