DJ Pitone took our eclectic playlist and expertly mashed it into a 2.5 hour dance party. Our wedding reception dance floor was never empty. And he knew how to weave in songs our aunt and uncles would dance to later in the night, as opposed to just playing oldies in the beginning. Leading up to our wedding, dj john was communicative and always available to talk through questions and plans. He was open to last minute changes that we had, from speech order to the venue not being able to have a fog machine inside. He and Guy were excited about our Halloween/Gothic theme and suggested the perfect music when we needed suggestions. We were open to a Halloween “set” and they didn’t make it tacky. He was very good at reading the room and the spread of age groups we had ready to party. John and Guy surprised us with video highlight reel of our reception that was so thoughtful and touching. We didn’t have a videographer so having a three minute video of our friends and family celebrating us was so special. Would recommend PPE to anyone looking to have a party that won’t quit.

John and his team worked seamlessly and effortlessly to make our day beautiful. My husbands family is not much of dancers as we learned, but despite that, they got some people on the dance floor, and made sure we were happy and comfortable all night long. They went above and beyond for us and I couldn’t recommend them more. The planning and execution of everything was beyond easy and he made the day less stressful. I recommended John and his company, will always keep them in mind for any event that may need a dj!!

DJ John did an AMAZING job! He made our special day and then some. Not only was John amazing, but his entire team. They were communicative, informative, and FUN! They got our whole vibe down and felt extremely confident for the big day. When the day came, everything was blown out of the water from beginning to end. We booked John with Power Play Entertainment for our wedding and are extremely happy we did. We did a lot of research into DJs during the planning process as we knew it was an important role and could mean the difference between a fun wedding and an awkward one. From the moment we talked to John on our initial call, we knew he was the right fit for us. Aside from reception music, John covered music at the ceremony and cocktail hour, microphones and sound for us and our officiant, lighting for our reception, and a custom monogram that turned out amazing. We had a few special requests from our processional song, to passing out glow sticks and other favors, to having a surprise musical guest for the father daughter dance and all were managed great by John. John brought along Guy as his assistant/our second DJ and he was amazing as well. Both were ready to make sure we had everything we needed for the entire day and were professional with how they handled everything. At the end of the day, John kept everything going smoothly from the ceremony to the reception, he was a great emcee, played everything we wanted to hear, and most importantly he kept everyone dancing all night long. John does everything he can to ensure he can serve you how you want on your special day. I would highly recommend John, Guy, and Power Play Entertainment as a whole.

John was incredible!! He was very communicative and met every goal and vision we had in our minds. From the ceremony to the very end of the night everything was met exactly as pictured and he did a great job putting it all together. He had everyone up on the dance floor throughout the night and went above and beyond. John and PPE were the perfect choice for our wedding. John did an amazing job all day on all fronts. He was great as an MC for introductions and our dances. We were a bit behind on our timeline which cut into dancing time, and despite that John did such a great job getting all of our "must play" songs in. We really appreciated that he went out of his way to make sure that all of the songs we really wanted got played. He and his assistant were fantastic at getting the party going and keeping up the energy all night. They even made a short video from our reception and posted it to social the next day! We had the PERFECT wedding day with Phil from Power Play Entertainment as our Emcee/DJ from ceremony to reception! The communication with PPE is spot on, with timely responses to questions and guidance all along the way. The portal they have to plan the different aspects of your event is incredible, and makes the planning process a breeze with their attention to detail and step-by-step coordination call. We had a live guitarist at our cocktail hour which was a wonderful addition! We truly appreciated them being so professional, especially as we had to pivot the ceremony at the last minute due to the rain. Our guests haven't stopped talking about how much fun it was to dance the night away! We cannot recommend Power Play Entertainment highly enough, they will make your wedding a dream!

I couldn’t recommend this company enough! Everything about our experience was top notch. John communicated with us numerous times and set us up with DJ Phil for our engagement party. That was a hit and we knew we needed him for our wedding. DJ Phil did an outstanding job helping us organize our wedding playlists. From the processional to the very last song. He is amazing and passionate about his work. All of the guests at both of our events danced and loved the music! He did a phenomenal job incorporating popular songs, dance songs and our favorite style EDM so all of our guests enjoyed it. Additionally, the visual dance floor effects and up lighting was a nice touch as well.

John and Power Play Entertainment exceeded all expectations. From the first phone call before we even booked until even after the wedding we received nothing but professionalism, you can really tell they love what they do. Power Play Entertainment caters to your every need and makes planning super easy, John took our ideas and ran with it in the best possible way. In addition, if you want to add your own songs you can do that in an online portal. It’s that easy. On the wedding day John made everything seamless and transition so well. John and his staff were amazing. We started with various phone calls with me explaining what I envisioned. The website helped with creating the schedule and providing a list of music for me and the groom to choose from. The day of went without a hitch with John’s help. The music was amazing and kept everyone on the dance floor all night. John kept an eye out for everything and anything. There were several changes to our plan due to weather and other issues and John never blinked an eye and kept me calm through it. None of the guest ever realized changes were happening.

We booked our DJ, photographer and videographer all through PPE and couldn’t be happier with our decision to do so. The day moved seamlessly and the dance floor was packed all night (our 200+ guests were all chanting encore by the end!!!). Our photographer made sure we got every photo we wanted before they left for the night and our videographer got the most amazing moments. We received all of our photos and videos SO quickly and all were great quality. No bad things to say and everyone on the PPE was a joy to work with / just great people all around!!! Definitely recommend for any event :)

We had the best party of our lives! The dance floor was on fire all night even though we had an intimate reception with 70 guests. John always knew what songs to play to keep the guests dancing. The dance floor was never empty and we wanted to extend our reception (unfortunately the venue didn’t allow it). The uplighting and dance floor lighting were gorgeous and essential for the romantic and festive ambiance we wanted. The Photo Booth was a big hit! We are so glad we did the Photo Booth - our guests had so much fun with it and it gave us a lot more photos of our guests (as our photographers were mainly focused on taking photos of us.) John is also a fantastic emcee. One of our favorite moments was when John was kicking off the reception with the introduction of us as a newlywed couple. His delivery was perfect and made all of us feel so excited. I would 100% recommend Power Play Entertainment for any engaged couple.

The communication was eh, we first spoke to John and we’re very excited about having PowerPlay Dj our wedding. On our contract was DJ Ryan. Even up to about a month or so before our wedding, I hadn’t heard anything from anyone- aside from the automated emails they send about 180 days to do, 60 days to do, etc. I finally reached out and asked if we were supposed to contact someone or what?? So I received a quick reply from John, but our DJ had been changed to Rob. When I finally spoke to this new DJ, he assumed we had another DJ company cancel on us because it was so last minute….but we booked with them almost a year in advance. So I’m guessing it was some kind of communication error on their part. DJ Rob ended up doing okay, there wasn’t much ‘hyping’ of the crowd or anything like that. The online tool that you use to pick music is very convenient. It’s not that the music was bad or anything, it just wasn’t an out of this world experience. Maybe would’ve been different if our Dj wasn’t switched or whatever happened last minute.

John was amazing start to finish. He is super professional-he understood our style and provided helpful guidance. I would 1000% recommend him! Our dance floor was packed and people danced all night. We liked him so much-we asked him to come party with us after!

I had the best experience hiring John for our wedding DJ! Throughout the wedding and the next day I received so many comments that he was great - he did a great job with our ceremony music, cocktail hour music, and of course the reception! At one point someone tried to give me kudos for the playlist and I let them know it was all him! He is a great MC, personable, high energy, and professional. He's also super responsive and is great at following up on all the little details. It's obvious that he has fun with his work, which makes it all the more fun! 5+STARS! We booked Power Play Entertainment for our June 2023 wedding. We used the DJ service and the photobooth. John was our DJ. When I first reached out to John to explain to him our (my) [Bride here LOL] wants, he understood exactly what I was pitching to him. As our big day was approaching, we had a call to finalize our details for music. He gave suggestions to music for specific moments throughout our special day that we weren’t 100% sure about and it was smooth sailing! I explained to John that we wanted people on the dance floor ALL-NIGHT-LONG and he fully executed! From mid-dinner to the end of night, there were people on the dance floor! His DJ services fulfilled all of our expectations! I had multiple people come up to me throughout the night, at the end of the night, days/weeks, and now upwards of a month+ later telling me how on point/amazing the DJ was. Now, for the photobooth; originally I questioned if it was really necessary to have a photobooth. (I honestly didn’t think it was going to be used much and was just going to take up space) Boy, was I wrong! The photobooth was a HUGE HIT! There were people at the photobooth the whole night! (It seemed as, if guests weren’t on the dancefloor, they were at the bar, or the photobooth) We received a copy of each photo taken at the photobooth via email within a week or so! John reached out about a week prior to the wedding in regards to getting a photo of our wedding invitation to have the designer craft up a nice background for the printed photos that each guest received throughout the night. The design matched PERFECTLY with our wedding invitation! If you made it this far, this is your sign to book John at Power Play Entertainment for DJ services as well as the photobooth! John was a fantastic DJ and emcee for our wedding reception! We had several calls with John before our event, and were playing around with several different entertainment options, John was knowledgeable and patient with us with each crazy idea we threw at him. John's team also provided the lighting for our dance floor, and we were really impressed with the set up! Everyone was dancing all night. John’s team even took a few videos of our friends and family on the dance floor for us, which was a really nice touch and we loved watching them back the day after our wedding. We initially requested John Pitone specifically because of all the awesome reviews he had. After speaking with him on the phone we knew without a doubt he was our dj. Everything was easy going and the music choices (we did leave a lot up to him) he picked as our guests were arriving was spot on. During our cocktail hour and reception John was on top of everything from the speeches and our bridal party entering, all the way to the perfect mix of high energy party music and slow dancing. I had a fantastic experience working with DJ Steve for our wedding. He came highly recommended from my maid of honor and was a pleasure to work with. Steve was responsive and helpful during the planning of the reception. Steve was happy to listen to our feedback and requests but also provided expert guidance along the way. My husband is a former musician so needless to say he was a little picky and concerned when it came to selecting our entertainment. Steve was very professional and did a great job, my husband and I could not have been more pleased. Our guests had a fabulous time, the dancefloor was packed all night. WOW! Power Play Entertainment gave me and my new husband the wedding I've been dreaming of all my life! John made the planning process so easy, he took time to speak with us and understood exactly the kinds of music we like and what we don't like. We even used the planning section on the Power Play website to select music for introductions, first dance and parent dances. The ceremony was perfect, with gentle music playing as our family and friends arrived, and they even added some beautiful lighting. My ceremony was like something out of a movie. After cocktail hour, when the doors opened for the grand reveal of the ballroom, people were blown away. My mom said she couldn't believe it! The uplighting that John designed was amazing - he used our theme colors and accented parts of the room beautifully. We also had a monograph light shining on the wall above the head table. The introductions were so much fun. My new father in law said that John was immediately like a friend to our families, not just a wedding DJ. Once the dancing started after dinner it was so awesome! There were all kinds of lights like you'd see in a club, and the music was non-stop and everything that we were hoping for. I still can't believe it was my wedding! At the end of the night nobody wanted to leave. WOW. Thank you John and Power Play for giving us the most amazing wedding day!

. My husband Andy and I got married on sat, oct 15th. Our DJ backed out on us 10 days before our wedding. Frantically I called John almost in tears to check his availability, he explained to us that he doesn't normally do too many weddings anymore, but that he would help us out (I think he felt bad for me.) from that moment on, he would send me emails and constantly check in to assure me it was going to be ok, he made our ceremony and wedding amazing.
