Sarahi did my wedding HMU as well as the HMU for my bridal party and the moms (MOB & MOG). Wow, she is incredibly talented! Everyone's make-up and hair turned out so good! The bridesmaids all wanted up-dos and she did such a great job making them cohesive yet fitting for each gal's personality. We had an early start time for our HMU and everyone's HMU held up so well - even late into the night. Sarahi is incredibly kind and takes feedback really well. I didn't know what I wanted when I did my HMU trial but we talked through everything post- trial and she took all my thoughts into consideration. To be honest, I was a little anxious about how my hair and make-up was going to turn out. As soon as I saw my MIL's make-up all my anxieties were gone. I'm so happy I had Sarahi do my make-up; my final look was better than imagined. Especially my hair; it was the coolest braid bun I've ever seen. If you are looking for an incredible HMU artist in the Portland or Mt.Hood area, I HIGHLY recommend Pure Elegance. I promise that you will not be disappointed.

As a bride I do not recommend Sarahi in any capacity I am not usually one to write bad reviews but I would hate if someone else had to go through the experience I did just barely a month before my wedding. Initially Sarahi was very sweet, easy to contact and communicated back and forth in a timely manner. Unfortunately Sarahi broke her hand a few days prior to my initial hair and makeup trial. Life happens, this was not a big deal, we rescheduled for after her surgery when she thought she would be able to start working on hair and makeup again. Again, she communicated everything very well and was super sweet about the unforeseen circumstances. The day of my hair and makeup trial was a complete disaster. My hair was the first to be done, she asked what I was going for, I showed her my inspiration photos and then she began to go to work. 2 hours later she was done, she only had one good hand to work with so I assume it took much longer then normal to fix, she couldn’t even pickup a bobbie pin with her bad hand. Again, this was not her fault she broke her hand, but I was hoping for a little more forthcoming about how she still wasn’t able to use her hand while fixing hair. When I looked in the mirror after she was done I was shocked, my hair looked nothing like my inspiration photos. I honestly thought she had wasn’t done with it yet but then she started moving toward her makeup. I understand this is a trial, so I told her what I’d like to make it better, maybe some more volume here and what not, her response was, “okay I’ll do that the day of the wedding”. My understanding of a trial was it was suppose to look like the day of so there were no surprises. I did not get this. When Sarahi started on my makeup she asked ZERO questions on what I wanted. I’m not one to wear a ton of makeup and was hoping for a more natural look. This was not what I got. The makeup for one, did not even match my skin tone. My two best friends who were with me were shocked. When leaving my trial I was told, the makeup will take time to settle. Little did I know this would take 6 hours, before I felt even remotely comfortable going in public. Not only that, but my hair did not even make it to the car before Bobbie pins started falling out. After communicating my concerns with Sarahi and her blaming me for: my face being too dry, my eyelashes not being thick enough, and my hair extensions for being too heavy, all things I thought was apart of her job, I decided to cancel my contract. This did not go over well and I’m continuing to try and get some sort of refund for the 50% deposit I had to put down prior to the trial.

Sarahi is amazing! I first went to Sarahi for a wedding hair and makeup trial. I could tell she really listened to what I was looking for and made my vision come to life with both my hair and makeup. I'm pretty picky and was impressed with the time she took and ensuring every detail was what I wanted. Also, she is the sweetest person, so easy to talk to and her studio is adorable. Sarahi also did my spray tan for my bachelorette party and wedding, she adds fun little sparkles and scents in to give your spray tan a little something fun. She then traveled to Hood River, OR to do my MOH and I's hair and makeup for my wedding. I'm not sure how she did it, but my day of ended up being even better than my trial. I was very happy with everything and can't recommend Sarahi enough!

Choosing Sarahi Welton to be my hair and makeup artist was one of the best decisions I could have made regarding wedding planning! She is super sweet, thoughtful and knowledgeable about what she does. She brought my vision to life and made me fall in love with my look! I know that traditional and "neutral" styles can be kinda boring for makeup artists, but she made it seem like even though she'd done it hundreds of times, that she loved doing it anyways! She travelled to my air bnb since our wedding was an early afternoon wedding and she gave me a test kit to keep with me so I could reapply as needed. I can not thank Sarahi enough for the excellent work that she did, I am still in love with how my hair and makeup turned out and how beautiful I felt on my wedding day and it's all thanks to her!
