If you can, choose a different hotel.
My experience at the Radisson was tepid at best, and a customer service nightmare at worst. I worked closely with the Radisson’s Sales Manager, Rochelle Fronsdale, for over a year to ensure that my wedding block and after-party were planned and established well in advance of my wedding in December of 2021. While Rochelle was generally very responsive, efficient, and prompt, and altogether a joy to work with, I cannot say the same for the rest of the services that we received at the Radisson Hotel Philadelphia Northeast.
The rooms at the Radisson pale in comparison to hotels like the Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn in terms of modernity, cleanliness, and general feeling of kempt-ness. The rooms were dark, there were several outlets that did not have covers on them (we weren’t sure if we could safely use them), and when we arrived in our rooms, many of the lamps were unplugged and off. Additionally, several of my wedding guests who booked rooms complained of the cleanliness of their bathrooms, as well as the lack of additional toilet paper and towels.
Additionally, we opted to purchase food from the hotel for our guests after the wedding. Firstly, we were not given the option to rent a space; Rochelle explicitly told us that there were none available at the time, but that we could expect to have the bar mostly to ourselves, as it was unlikely other events would be booked at the same time. We were also told that we were not allowed to bring in food from another vendor or book a food truck. The menu (see the pictures) was disappointingly small and very overpriced, but because the Radisson was our hotel and we had no other choice, we went with about $500 worth of food.
The night of the wedding, we arrived at the hotel only to find out food shoved into a nook at the back of the bar, which was overcrowded with at least two or three other parties of people. My mother-in-law had to ask several employees where our food even was before we could find it, and when we finally did, we saw that other patrons in the bar were eating the food that was laid out without anything to separate it from them. When we moved our food to the lobby to get away from the other patrons (some of whom actually tried to fight some of my party when it was pointed out that the food was not a free-for-all), the night manager Tara Hamilton had a security guard threaten to call the police on us. Tara Hamilton proceeded to yell, in an exceedingly unprofessional manner, at my uncle and my brother-in-law and threatened us several times to kick us out of the hotel completely. Finally, she directed us to a small area by the pool, at which point most of my party was so disgusted with the service and Tara’s attitude that they just called it a night. On top of all of that, the food was ultimately substandard and not at all worth the amount of money we paid for it.
All in all, I would not stay at the Radisson – this location or any other – in the future, nor would I recommend it to anyone to use for wedding guests.
TLDR: Food is subpar, customer service is terrible, rooms are unclean. Find a different hotel.
Having our wedding at the Radisson was the best decision ever. Michele and her team are absolutely Amazing. I have to say that Michele and Christina are an extraordinary team. You ladies are very patient and understanding and have a heart of gold. We thank you for helping us make sure our wedding process was great. The staff was extremely helpful. The service at the venue was beyond outstanding, the staff bent over and was always there to assist. They kept on top of everything we needed and didn't need. They were definitely ahead of the game. Aimee, Terri, and Anthony were absolutely AMAZING! Amy I cannot even begin to describe how phenomenal she was from the moment the say started Amy was there to help and answer questions. I cannot lie when you said you would not be there I was scared because I have been working with you but Amy is Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! ( Literally). She made our day even more perfect with all the minor details. She is very professional, skilled, very patient I must say, and very friendly. I miss her already! I cannot begin to describe how amazing AMY is when she came up to my room to check on me and make sure everything was okay it meant everything she is very detailed and full of energy and is able to deliver that energy to her team and my circle of loved ones. She did an awesome job, she handled everything perfectly. She leaves you with no stress during your day. Tery was very kind. She brought up plenty of food and drinks for the bridal party and family members as well. Anthony was also great. He helped out during dinner and made sure that my husband and I were comfortable and happy with the food and drink and everything was running smoothly. Amy and her staff definitely made sure we enjoyed every part of our cocktail hour, and reception. I would definitely recommend them to other brides!! The entire staff was the most professional staff I have ever seen (they all love their jobs). Have to say the best welcoming staff is the overnight guy he is absolutely the best of the best!!!!! ( not the older guy the younger guy)
My guests did not stop raving about cocktail hour and ALL the amazing food! Especially the bacon wrapped scallops, the spring rolls and salmon. Aside from the service, the place itself is BEAUTIFUL!! Every one of my guests I talked to had nothing but positive things to say!
Honestly, our wedding reception at the Radisson could not have been any better and we thank you for making it so special and the Radisson will forever be a part of our journey and love story!
Thank you again for everything and I mean everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband and I had the best wedding one could ever have and enjoyed the beautiful pictures we took at the Radisson. It was definitely such a great experience. Don't hesitate if you're looking for a venue that treats you like family and really makes your wedding as magical as can be.
Michele Rynkiewicz is the best to work with ever. She is awesome and really great to work with. There was no pressure to do anything more then we wanted. No hidden fees. Which was great because every other place had a service fee or taxes not included or some other hidden fee that didn’t make the venue reasonably priced. all we have been finding elsewhere. Michele answered all our questions promptly.
When we got to the day of the wedding the service was great. The food came out fast and it looked amazing in there. The staff was incredible. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Folks are still talking about how great it was there.
Nicole Vinci was my coordinator and she was wonderful. She answered all my questions along the way and made sure I was on track with all the deadlines. She went above and beyond and I would recommend her to anyone! The venue is beautiful, the food delicious and the staff friendly. A beautiful place to get married!
I am extremely pleased with my experience with the Radisson Hotel Philadelphia Northeast. From my beginning sales experience with Jenn Ruann, to my planning experience with Rochelle Fronsdale, and finally to our stay, we were nothing but satisfied. Rochelle went above and beyond to make sure that all of my guests received a room and even went as far as to create a sign to inform them when the shuttles would arrive. I will definitely be staying with the Radisson again.
We used the Radisson Hotel Philly Northeast the weekend of August 1, 2015. It's a large hotel, and is a little older, but the rooms are beautifully renovated, they have a restaurant and bar on site, and is in an easy to get to location. Nearly 100 of our guests stayed at this hotel, meaning we used almost 50 rooms. The staff was great in allowing us to add to our block of 25 (within the time limits) to keep as many of our guests in our block-discount as possible. It was wonderful. The rate ended up being $119 a night for a standard room, which was a good discount from their normal rates. They were also great in making sure each of our guests was handed a welcome bag (that we provided) as they checked in. The food at the breakfast buffet we hosted in a private room was delicious. My only disappointment with the hotel is that they don't offer any sort of breakfast included in the room rate.
The Sales Manager at this location is wonderful! She helped us book our junior suite so we'd have plenty of room to get ready in the morning and even made sure my parents had a connecting room so we could utilize that room too. The hotel is very clean and all the staff was exceptionally nice. We loved the hotel bar and the breakfast buffet was delicious. All of our guests enjoyed themselves and complimented our hotel choice as well. The Sales Manager worked with me throughout my whole planning experience through email. She reassured me of the plan and answered all of my questions right away.
We planned our wedding from across the country, and when we arrived at the Radisson Hotel Philadelphia Northeast, we couldn't have picked a better hotel for our out-of-town guests. Jeannine was incredibly friendly, going out of her way to make sure we were taken care of from day one of planning. She easily reserved a block of rooms for our guests, and we never ran into problems booking.
The weekend of the event, our welcome bags were handed out to guests efficiently, and last-minute catering requests were accommodated. The downstairs bar was the perfect meeting point for late-night gatherings, and the restaurant was a great breakfast spot. At the time of our wedding, they had recently completed a renovation of the lobby, so everything felt new and comfortable.
The proximity to our wedding venue (Cairnwood Estate) was perfect, and the hotel worked with our limousine company to ensure guests boarded the shuttles for the reception in time.
A great hotel for wedding stays, we highly recommend!
I cannot begin to describe in words how amazing the whole staff at the Radisson was to us! Michele was so amazing to us, I could not ask for a better coordinator. My mom had some health issues while in planning and Michele was amazing and understanding through it all! My dad is also a vegan and Michele made sure he was fed. When my parents went to their room after the wedding Michele even had a veggie tray for my dad to snack on. We also had club sandwiches, chocolate covered strawberries and champagne! The reception was amazing, the whole staff made sure the night ran smoothly and that we were fed and hydrated :) Jeanine was also fabulous! She handles the hotel reservations. At onepoint I was worried that we wouldn't have enough rooms, but she assured me that we would. She even let me call her everyday if need be to make me feel better! She really did come through and every guest that needed a room got one up until the last day. The Radisson was able to accommodate our budget and included so much like the cake, center pieces, etc. I wish I could live this planning again because they really did make sure everything was to our liking. A++++++++ for the Radisson!!!! Thank you all so much!
Great staff at this location. Rooms were good. Definitely go for the Suite or the JR. Suite if you are getting ready at the hotel. Jennofer is the manager. She was very helpful with everything!
We used this hotel for out of town guests and our room for the night. They were very friendly and easy to deal with. The room rates were very reasonable. We partied in the bar after our reception and had breakfast at their buffet the next morning.
The hotel was great. We went to the bar after the wedding was over and had brunch the next day with a group of people.
I used this hotel for my out of town guests as well as myself.
Great customer service and the rooms were comfortable and affordable.
The only negative is that they do not provide shuttle service for their guests.
I cannot say enough good things about the Radisson and it's staff. The Sales Manager made everything extremely easy and very palatable, especially considering the stress of a wedding. Our final appointment made me feel at ease.
The day of, our maitre'd, Aime, was the best part of our day. She made sure that we had everything we needed. She coordinated all of the vendors and made everything go smoothly. She asked repeatedly how she could help us and if she could do anything to be of assistance. They even set up a table mid reception to move a table of elderly relatives sitting too close to the DJ. They consistently went above and beyond what we could have imagined.
Also, the honeymoon suite included was AMAZING. I wish I had known how wonderful it was going to be. They had food ready and waiting for us. She even noticed that we weren't drinking and sent up sodas instead. Their generosity and attention to detail made them wonderful to work with!
