Excellent service and hospitality. Had an incredible wedding weekend. Guests really enjoyed their time here!
My experience with the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel and Convention Center was great from the first contact until after the wedding/reception. Not only was the staff attentive, courteous and professional, they were very easy to communicate with, provided suggestions, and went above and beyond my expectations to make the pre-wedding activities, ceremony, and reception wonderful. (By the way, the food was fabulous!!!!!!) I recommend the Renaissance Atlanta Hotel and Convention Center to any bride who wants an awesome experience.
On October 31st 2014 I wrote my first review of the Atlanta Renaissance Waverly Hotel regarding preparations for our daughter's wedding. The wedding was this past Saturday, October 17, 2015 and we couldn't be happier with the way things were handled by the entire staff at the hotel.
From checking in on Thursday the 15th through checkout on Sunday the 18th we were treated like royalty. I used Marriott Rewards Points for the stay and upon check-in realized that they had upgraded my wife and I to a king executive suite with lounge access.
Thursday afternoon we had our final meeting to review all the details. One of our greatest concerns was the availability of the ballroom to enable us to add our personal touches to the table. We were assured that the set up would be complete no later than 10 AM on Friday morning, a full day before the wedding. On Friday morning at 8 AM I went down to the ballroom and to my amazement found the tables already in-place complete with linens. We were able to put our personal touches on the tables within a few hours time and still had a complete day before the wedding. This is the type of service you get from the Waverley.
On the day of the wedding, while the guests were having cocktails, I went into the Habersham ballroom for a final walk-through. The ballroom looked as though it was set up for State dinner. Truly regal. My excitement was building as14 months of planning came to fruition.
While the guests were in the Kennesaw ballroom having cocktails the bridal party was on the second floor in the Lenox conference room enjoying their hors d'oeuvres and cocktails as well, having been staged in there in preparation for their grand entrance.
Our wedding package provided by the Waverley included a cheese display four hot hors d'oeuvres, multiple entrée selections as well as cake and coffee service. We also opted for a five hour open bar for all of our guests. The Waverley was the only venue it provided such an all-inclusive turnkey package.
Although the photographer caused us to be 30 minutes late, which put a lot of pressure on the hotel staff, the wedding came off flawlessly. As the host, I was concerned about whether or not the guests were enjoying themselves. I made it around to each table a few times during the course of the evening and always received multiple compliments on the quality of the food, especially the Chilean Sea Bass. Multiple guests told me that this was the best Sea Bass they have ever eaten.
The staff at the Waverley thinks of everything, even before you do. It is a seamless operation with one thing as their goal... customer satisfaction. And this they achieve, from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. Never once during our four day stay at this hotel did we hear the words you no or can't. It's just not in their vocabulary. Their "ambassadors" are trained to make your stay as pleasant as possible. During our stay we had spoken to multiple employees who had 24 years of service at the Waverley. This is not only a reflection on the Marriott but also reflection on the management of the hotel especially Joe Uhl the general manager. From the banquet managers Hassan and Royer (who brought my wife a cheese and cracker plate when he saw her outside the ballroom relaxing), to Trazet at the front desk any and all questions and concerns my wife and I had were immediately add
This hotel is absolutely beautiful! It has several ballrooms to accomodate parties of 100 to 1000. The ceremony spaces available a really nice especially the gardens.
The service provided during my stay and event with the Waverly more than exceeded my expectations. The team I had from the sales stage to the event execution was amazing! I kept in contact with my planner throughout the 14 months we were planning and she never griped nor put me off. I would definitely recommend Waverly if you want a beautiful event, great service, and a jaw-dropping ceremony location.
Thank you Renaissance for taking care of me on my wedding day. The room was perfect the hotel had great areas to take photographs before the wedding.
This hotel went above and beyond for my husband and I as well as each of our guests. From the moment we scheduled our event they were in regular contact with us ensuring that our needs were met. they also put us in a beautiful suite the night of our wedding and had Champagne and Chocalate covered strawberries waiting for us after the reception
