My husband and I planned our big wedding for July 2020. Unfortunately, we postponed to 2021 because of Covid (which the Renaissancewas very accommodating), but we asked them if we could do a small ceremony in the atrium in 2020 on our original date. The entire team was fantastic! They were not only accommodating, but they helped make the whole day so special and made us feel some sense of normalcy, even in these crazy times. We are hoping to have our big wedding again this year at the Renaissance, and can't wait to see how awesome it turns out. Thank you to Brad and the whole team!
This is a long overdue review as I had my wedding reception here in October, but I wanted to really take my time with this review. I have nothing but positive, warm reviews for Claudia and the staff here. I had no experience when it came to wedding planning and the last wedding in my family was about 10 years ago. Working with Claudia was a dream! She was so open minded and accommodating when it came to any requests or ideas we had in mind with our wedding (Taco truck was a huge hit by the way!) She did everything she could to make sure we had a stress-free year of planning. Claudia was also so quick to respond that I never had to worry about communicating with her at all. One thing that I really appreciated was her keeping me updated when she wouldn’t be in her office or just as available- even giving me her personal number for emergencies just so I had peace of mind. I know it seems like common sense, but I’ve worked with many people who would not let me know and I would just get an automatic reply via email. The reception ran so smoothly that if there were any issues that went on- I would not have even guessed or noticed. We had no complaints- the guests are still talking about the delicious food and the beautiful cocktail hour in their atrium. My in-laws flew in from California, and they chose to stay at the hotel the whole week prior and after the reception. The whole time they were there- no complaints either. Every staff member I interacted with throughout this whole process was amazing. From making adjustments to hotel room blocks, to the chef at our food tasting and the day of, to the receptionist and hotel staff who treated all our guests so kindly at the reception, I am so grateful for you all. I highly recommend this hotel for any event, but for weddings especially, you will not regret it!
We hosted our daughter's baptism reception at Delta Hotels by Marriott in Glenview about a week ago and words cannot describe how pleased we were with the outcome. We had the cocktail hour at the Atrium, what a beautiful space! Everybody was impressed by it! Dinner followed in the Glen Ballroom, which was set up wonderful. Claudia (the director of catering) was hands on in helping us plan our event. Not only was she extremely pleasant, but also diligent, and very helpful. She assisted us in coordinating a menu for our guests, the food was amazing! All the staff was very attentive and nice. I highly recommend this venue for your next event!!! Go see the place, you’ll be impressed!!!
Had a beautiful and wonderful wedding at Delta Hotel in Glenview. Maureen is amazing and made the entire planning process easy and enjoyable. Would highly recommend!!!!
Maureen was so wonderful to work with! She is very organized, responsive, and professional. We were planning the wedding from out of state and Maureen was super accommodating! I also cannot say enough amazing things about the chef. We had so many of our guests compliment the venue and the food!
BOOK THIS VENDOR!! I had my wedding here 4/14/18. The ceremony was upstairs in the Atrium, & the reception of 150 people in their main ballroom. I wanted an ELEGANT, gorgeous wedding (per my mom's request) and oh my gosh....It was SENSATIONAL! This was THE most beautiful wedding I've ever been to, & I'm not just saying that Bc it was my own. The flowers & trees & lights that are normally part of the Atrium were like extra decor I didn't have to pay for! It was STUNNING. It was like an outdoor wedding in the botanic gardens, without the crazy expense of the botanic garden and the unpredictable Chi weather! If you want a GORGEOUS UPSCALE outdoor garden-like wedding without the headache of dealing with cold or rain...this place is DEF worth looking into! I wish I could show you pics but Maureen has a few I'm sure.
Let's talk about Maureen, the wedding coordinator you'll likely be in contact with. She is one of THE most kind, competent, amazing people I've EVER had the pleasure of working with. She ran my wedding and did a PHENOMENAL job! I'm so glad I didn't have to pay an outside wedding coordinator!! That saved a LOT of $ Bc I'm sure you know...they're $$$. Maureen did it all, she has exceptional taste, and just the fact that you'd be working with HER makes booking this venue worth it. She's so talented, and she will direct you to the GOOD vendors. Just go talk to her, you'll see.
I don't have ONE criticism of this venue. The food was amazing, the chef is exceptional and a great person, too. We had high expectations for the food and several specific requests due to picky guests & me being a picky bride in general. Everything food related was PERFECT. The chef even went out of his way to ask my top choice bakery to do the sweets table even though that bakery doesn't normally do them (since they do 5-star restaurant sweet tables), as in he contacted the bakery's owner specifically to call in a favor so that we could have what I wanted. What other venue has a chef who would do this??
This venue was also more affordable than several other hotels I spoke with. I wanted my reception in the same place where out of towners were staying, or where anyone could stay after a night of partying who chose to do so. It was perfect. The price here is less expensive. You'll see ;)
The entire staff at this venue is just GOOD people, they'll take care of your EVERY need. It's stressful planning a wedding and they (in particular Maureen) made it a BREEZE. My wedding was STUNNING. Go see this venue. It's GORGEOUS.
