DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL IF YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service, and I cannot stress that enough. Not only do they not know how to do their jobs and add wedding guests to room blocks correctly (which in the end YOU have to pay for if those rooms are not booked), but they do not answer phones, emails, etc. Literally insane the amount of stress this hotel has caused me during my wedding planning.
The worst hotel experience of my entire life. The physical property is in bad need of updating but the hotel service and management are even worst. Do yourself a favor and avoid this property. I stayed 4 nights in June 2023 and will never return.
Easy booking and able to put rooms side by side if requested. No issues. Easy check out.
I did not get married here nor host and wedding activities here and I could have been grateful I didn't! Renaissance was where I did my room block since I got married right next door at WGHOFM... BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. staff was very unprofessional. They had no idea what was going on... Overbooked the hotel... And had NO RESPECT for a bride. Because they were overbooked my guests and wedding party had to walk to my ceremony site when I was told shuttle service would be provided. They would not even try to accommodate the fact that their check out time was slap dead in the middle of my ceremony and wouldn't allow late check out. Yet charged me $100 for a left (lost) bag that was found in a room. I would never stay here again... And I definitely would not recommend any bride to either. They caused so much chaos on my wedding day I could never imagine stepping foot there again. Management very unprofessional and rude!
Fantastic venue! Had our wedding there in May and loved it. Our food and service were great. We had an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. The sales and service people were great and helped through the whole process.
Just had my wedding here and it was beautiful! With that said the day before the wedding when we went to make our last payment it was $1000 more thAn what we were quoted in the contract because of "service fees" on the ceremony. This was unknown and was even a questioned asked before the contract was signed. Also, our wedding was the same day as a charity event done by Blake Bortles. We were told we had to move our reception because his even would be too loud. We were informed this 10 days before our wedding. We moved to reception to the Hall of Fame next door and was beautiful. I did feel like the staff did not care about my even because they had the celebrity golf tournament that day. The only thing that was offered for our inconvenience was a signature drink during cocktail hour and the extra cost for Hall of Fame covered ( which should of been since it was their mess up). Didn't offer a discount and didn't offer to have the charity event have noise control considering my wedding contact was signed months before this. Overall it was beautiful but the customer service sucked because unless your famous they don't care and will move your wedding a week before.
We decided at the last moment to use this venue for catering. I didn't consider them at first because I thought they were pricey. Little did I know, they were willing to adjust the set prices by eliminating some menu items. Jennifer was wonderful to work with. Thanks Jennifer for making my wedding reception wonderful. Everyone loved the food and appetizers.
The Renaissance WGV was amazing! They worked closely with me and my husband. They gave us a great deal on room blocks and helped with each step of the way. Michelle Gulley was great with communication and meeting my every request.
Since everyone was out of town..all of our guests stayed in this hotel. The service and staff were excellent from the time we walk in till the time we left. I shared with the staff that we were getting married, and they went over and beyond to make our stay enjoyable
The Renaissance Resort itself was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It was everything I imagined, setting wise:) The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the event planner for the hotel was slightly overwhelmed and disorganized at times. She was very sweet but I had to constantly remind her of things that she was already informed of. Thankfully all of the major things turned out perfectly but a few minor details were forgotten (such as a plate to put our cake slice on, special drinks that my husband/I selected for the toast, and a few other very minor things). Overall, however, the hotel was gorgeous and accommodating to our needs! There is also a lot of great photo opportunities here, such as an indoor waterfall. I definitely recommend this venue, especially if you want an indoor wedding which is what I had (the ballrooms are amazing:). Just be sure to be organized/on top of things yourself...which I would suggest regardless of venue.
What a majical place for a wedding. Our reception was held here, the food was excellent, the service was outstanding the atmosphere was perfect!
Tammy was a pleasure to work with!
