Belinda Villa 2 reviews·1 photo I’m never one to leave a review but I had to share my experience because I believe any place of service, especially a luxurious restaurant has the opportunity to do better. But only with constructive criticism. I wish someone would have told me how bad it was and save myself the time. This restaurant looked beautiful online but was very disappointed once we arrived. It didn’t look much like the pictures. The hostess didn’t even greet us just said “party of two? This way.” Very serious. A simple hello, how are you? How is your day? Goes a long way. We were seated at the back of the restaurant. The atmosphere was very disappointing as well. We sat in the garden. Where there were way too many flies for comfort flying everywhere. No music, no breeze in the daunting sun and humidity. And to make matters worse our waiter was an absolute nightmare. I had my purse hanging on my chair and he grabbed it without asking first and threw it on the seat next to me. Mind you if was a Chanel purse which I found necessary to mention because had the waiter scratched it, it would have had to paid for. I let that pass because I wanted to give him the benefit of a doubt. Sometime we have bad days but then proceeded to be extremely rude. I asked what he recommended for a cocktail and his response was “Everything is good” and walked away. He started joking and laughing with the other waiters right in front of us. Didn’t ask us for drinks or what we wanted for dinner. We had to wave him down. Then awkwardly started to stretch in front of us. We were appalled. We have never felt this uncomfortable before and asked for a manager to let them know we were leaving. I have heard from different people it’s always that way at this location. I should have listed. Even our driver and jeweler down the street had warned us that there are better restaurants to go to than this one.
