Rewind earns 2.5 Stars - Matt's takes great pictures (5 stars) but unfortunately his customer service is lacking (0 stars). Planning a wedding can be stressful, so you want dependable vendors that will work WITH you throughout the process. Matt is not that vendor - after a great initial conversation and after agreeing to work together, Matt became unresponsive and did not follow through on his promises. As an example, we agreed to work together on 3/26/18 and were ready to send our deposit. Unfortunately Matt never sent us the contract and barely responded to our messages. Over the course of the next 3 weeks, we were never able to get Matt to send us anything despite promises that he would. Ultimately we went our separate ways. I think Rewind could provide a better experience if Matt clarifies his working style earlier and if he becomes more open to his client's needs. I just wish the business side was half as good as the creative side. Bottom line, you can find plenty of other photographers who take great pictures AND who will make your wedding day stress free.

We chose Rewind Photography after checking out multiple websites; there was something about these photos that just stood out to us more than the others. WOW...how thankful we are that we made the right choice! We did a small elopement style wedding at the Santa Barbara Courthouse. We met Matt there and he was incredible the entire session. He captured beautiful candid moments of our ceremony and captured all the stunning architectural highlights of the location. He knew exactly what spots to shoot in and took all the pressure off of us. Matt is incredibly professional and made us feel like movie stars!! We were having so much fun, time absolutely flew. We are so impressed with the quality of Matt's work and feel like he was able to capture the pure joy we were feeling on our special day! The amount of photos we received was above and beyond our expectations, and every single image is spectacular! We highly recommend Rewind Photography, you will be blown away by the customer service, quality and experience provided!

It has been nearly 6 months since our wedding day and Matt's name is still frequent in our house. We get to relive our favorite moments of the wedding every day through the collection of photos Matt and Annie gave us, and we regularly get compliments from our family and friends on our talented photographers. I met Matt at a wedding expo in San Luis Obispo where his enthusiasm for capturing memories and his love of detail caught my attention. Because we were having a destination wedding, Matt took the time to videochat to get to know us before we made our decision. He explained his philosophy behind his work--to provide photos that help his clients "rewind" to those moments and to document the details of the day like a story. Hiring Matt was an instant priority and one of the best decisions we made that day. Another review described him as a photo ninja and I couldn't agree more. Matt found incredible backdrops throughout the venue that make us feel we were married in so many different and beautiful settings. We warned him that we had large parties and large families and he expertly handled every situation making everyone comfortable and at ease. Not only did he take fantastic shots, he also gave everyone mini-modeling lessons to help our poses look magazine worthy. I would have given him five stars on just his presence at the wedding alone. But our final product was better than we imagined. We have about three times the photos we were promised and they all live up to his philosophy. Every day, we get to rewind back to those moments and see our story unfold. They will be cherished forever. I highly recommend Rewind Photography. Thank you, Matt & Annie!

They did our wedding and throughout the entire day I think I remember seeing them a few times. But the quantity and quality of pictures that they produced floored me. They were there capturing every moment exactly the way I wanted and more. I highly recommend them.

What a fantastic photography team! Matt and Annie made my husband and me feel incredibly comfortable on our special day. They accommodated our requests and inspired so many special moments that are now captured forever! Even our guests came up to tell us how much they enjoyed having them there.

We had the pleasure of working with Matt at Rewind Photography as our photographer for our wedding this past April. We had interview a few photographers but we knew as soon as our meeting ended with Matt, we know he was our guy. My husband and I both said to each other “he is the type of guy we would both want around on our wedding day”. Matt was professional, kind and technical in his work but made everything so easy and smooth for us. We decided to do an engagement shoot with Matt which was one of my most favorite experiences with him! An hour before the shoot it was thundering and lighting so I figured we should cancel but Matt came through with a positive attitude and the knowledge to know things will shape up and we would have an amazing sky to shoot in front of. He was so right! Matt changed our engagement shoot location (which ended up working out so perfect) and the shoot was a huge success. Matt was in the ocean up to his knees to get some shots. I am so thankful we did this shoot with him not only because of the beautiful pictures we received but also because this gave us an opportunity to prepare for the actual wedding shoot together. The day of the wedding there was so much going on but as soon as I saw Matt I felt a sense of relief! He was so great all day. He gave my bridesmaids and I tips on how to pose, he was so patient with our wedding party of (17) and would show sneak peeks throughout the day which was really fun for everyone! I could go on and on but all I have to say is Matt Roberts is an amazing wedding photographer not only for the skill he has in capturing pictures but his calm and kind personality which is what you want on your wedding day! He also had a wonderful assistant on the day of who helped capture shots from every angle. They worked so well together. I am so thankful and happy we chose Rewind Photography!

Matt did an amazing job photographing our wedding! He went above and beyond to capture the most beautiful photos for us to always remember our wedding day! He is full of energy and has such enthusiasm when taking photos, he even kept my husband excited for hours taking photos!

This great couple were the photographers for my sisters wedding! They were so accommodating and friendly and did an outstanding job! They made the wedding party pictures a breeze and actually really fun! I loved the pictures they took - they turned out absolutely amazing!!!

We met Matt at a bridal fair in Santa Barbara, Ca. This was our 3rd bridal fair and I was feeling like we would never find the perfect photographer for us. (We had met with about 15 photographers already). A few weeks after the bridal fair I called Matt and asked if he would mind driving to our venue and talking to us about his services. He said, "Sure!" He arrived and from the first moment we all talked my husband, Fred and I felt comfortable with him. He was so happy about his job and had so much energy. We walked through our venue and he had so many ideas and visions. He showed us his portfolio and for the first time since the planning began Fred said, "let's hire them, I like his work." So we did and I don't regret it at all. Matt and Kristen arrived early and worked hard the whole day. They climbed up on things, crawled on the floor to get "the perfect shot", were friendly and made us feel comfortable. Our photos are beautiful and we will have them for the rest of our lives to look back on. One day when we are old and grey and forgetful we will still have these photos to remind us of the most special day in our lives. I whole heartedly recommend them. All of our future photo needs will be handled by Rewind Photography.

AMAZING!!!! is how we would describe our wedding photography experience with Matt and Kristen of Rewind Photography. My husband and I planned our wedding from across the country and only met them on the day of the wedding. From the first phone conversation, Matt got us so excited about our wedding; he went above and beyond and had a vision and timeline in mind, just based off of one phone call. They were always quick to respond and had great planning tools leading up to our wedding day. Matt and Kristen were with us and our wedding party from the beginning of the day till the sun went down and we left the party. We were running behind schedule on the wedding day and Matt kept me calm and he was still able to get all the photos, and more done that we needed. He was so organized and had previously planned out our venue and knew exactly where each set of photos would be taken. We so appreciated his organization and efficiency. During the photo shooting Matt was very good about making all of our wedding party feel comfortable and would even share some sneak peeks at what the photos were looking like so we understood his vision and he knew we were happy. Matt had such great energy and such a wonderful personality, we couldn't have asked for a better person to work with. Once we got the photos, we were blown away at how amazing they turned out and how much time and effort they put into giving us the best of all our photos. The poses and ideas never felt repetitive, he always worked in different actions and settings so it gave a ton of variety. Each set of portraits had unique differences. They captured EVERY single detail, and we had a lot. We definitely put them to work! On a side note we also rented the photo booth from Rewind and that was another great decision. They brought great props an had everything taken care of including a cute header that had our names on each photo strip the guest took home. The quality of photos the booth produced was excellent and the lighting made everyone feel like a model. Hands down our photographer, Rewind, was our BEST vendor of the day! I highly recommend them, they are extremely professional, gave exceptional quality photographs and I feel no review can express how happy we are that we hired Rewind as our wedding photographer.

I've been fortunate to work with Rewind in 2 weddings now -- once when I was a bridesmaid and once as a bride. This husband-wife duo works hard all day long to capture your day. They're creative, thorough, professional and good company. After all, you want the people surrounding you on your wedding day to be kind and fun. I'm most impressed by Matt's enthusiasm and ability to interact with all sorts of photo subjects and, of course, with the photos themselves. I've seen an initial set of about 100, and I can't wait to get the rest in the coming weeks. Every person we've shown them to has been blown away by the quality. Vendors are asking to use the photos of our wedding in their marketing materials -- not because we threw a particularly interesting wedding but because the photos are so darn good. I would choose Rewind again.

Wow, I can't say enough good things about Matt and Kristen Roberts with Rewind Photography! They were phenomenal! They were so energetic and fun to work with. They were working hard the minute they arrived. They took absolutely breathtaking photos and even kept up with all of the kids (which was so important to us). We can't wait until the next time we need a photographer so we can use them again. They are true artists! Not a negative thing to say abut them, we are more than satisfied! Excellent!
