River City Sweets

In the midst of searching for caterers and bakers and vendors for the wedding, I came across a place called River City Sweets. Heather Fields is the owner, and she is absolutely wonderful. My (now husband) and I went to see her for a cake testing session and I gave her 2 pics of 2 different cakes. I told her I was wanting a bit from each pic. Due to covid, we had to postpone the wedding until this year (2022), but the deposit was forwarded to the new date with no problems and anytime I e-mailed her with questions or concerns she responded as quickly as she could. Skip ahead to the months leading up (this year) to the wedding, I e-mailed Heather with updates and questions and I answered all of hers. Skip to wedding day...I had not spoken to her or seen her nor had I seen pics of the cake. I was getting ready with my girls and I remember thinking as I was about to walk down the isle "Omg, is the cake here? and how does it look". We started our first dance after the ceremony and I looked over his shoulder and almost fell out. I saw the cake and it was beyond gorgeous and beyond words. Heather took my imagination and turned into reality and there it was in front of me. The cake itself was soft and tasted so good. We had both red velvet and vanilla layers.
