Ron and his team were wonderful to work with for our wedding. The cake was absolutely beautiful and incorporated elements from the bride’s dress, our custom-crest, and sugar flowers of the same varieties as the rest of the floral decor throughout the event. It was truly a masterpiece and took our breath away when we saw it. We also loved that we were able to build several flavors of cake and icing into each tier and our guests still talk about how unique and delicious their slices were. Although our partnership with Ron was included and and arranged through Tavern on the Green, we cannot recommend the RBI team enough for a beautiful wedding cake.

Ron Ben-Israel was highly recommended by our wedding venue, and so we met Ron and some of his staff in his studio in nyc for a cake tasting and design consultation. We were very impressed by his creativity and keen interest in creating a design that worked with our flowers, my bridal gown, the venue and our concept for the wedding. Also, the cake and frostings we tasted were delicious and hard to choose among all the options. In spite of the fact that we had seen examples of his artistry in his studio, when we saw our cake at the reception, the design and the artistry involved in creating the cake blew us away! Not only were the flowers created out of frosting stunningly realistic, Ron captured the lace on my bridal gown in icing. It was truly a work of art. We received many comments by our guests about our beautiful wedding cake. And of course, our cake was delicious!

Ron Ben-Israel is an amazing pastry chef! He’s very professional, patient, and down to earth. For the cake tasting, he gives you plenty of time to try all the filling flavors and the cake flavors. He gives you ideas on what flavors go well with each other, which is really helpful. He also has 2 books full of ideas for wedding cake designs. We showed him pictures of what we wanted for the cake and he created a beautiful masterpiece! His sugar flowers are stunning and the cake was delicious! Our guests loved the cake! We went to a couple of cake vendors before choosing RBI, and we’re thrilled we chose wisely. He and his team are professional and run a very neat operation. The cake they created for our June 2019 was absolutely beautiful and delicious! As we had a traditional Greek wedding, Rob even had the brilliant idea to weave in a special flower that’s used during the ceremony. Their creativity has no limits, and the team will gladly tailor your cake to your desires. Beyond the visual aesthetic, which we have captured in a series of memorable photos, the cake tasted amazing and we cannot wait to have the top tier next year! A+ on all fronts, and totally worth it!

Wow! Ron made our cake a true work of art! So many people at our wedding thought it was not real because it was so beautiful. When we went for our cake tasting Ron truly listened to what we wanted and even completed a sketch for us to see. He asked for a copy of our wedding invitation so he could copy the marble from there and asked for pictures of our flowers as well so he could make everything match. He made cake tasting even more fun then we knew it would be! Definitely recommend Ron Ben-Israel as he is one of the most talented cake bakers I have ever seen and the cakes he makes are DELICIOUS too! We can't wait to slice the top tier in our freezer for our anniversary :)!

We recently hired Ron Ben-Israel to design a cake for our wedding at Gotham Hall in NYC. We had high expectations for this cake as it had to live up to the beauty of our exquisite venue, visually incorporate elements of our wedding theme, cater to guests with very discerning taste buds, and accommodate food allergies with a gluten-free layer! The process of creating the cake with Ron Ben-Israel was a fun filled and delicious experience! He took to the time to meet with us personally to get a sense for the venue, our colors and floral arrangements, and other wedding themes. He showed us photos of many gorgeous cakes he’s designed to gauge our feedback on what we liked, which enabled him to create a custom cake based on a variety of themes. He also organized a wonderful cake tasting so we could select the type of cake and filling flavors for each individual layer inside. To say the cake exceeded our expectations is an understatement! Not only did the cake taste phenomenal, but it was a SENSATIONAL work of art! He decorated our cake with gorgeous pink peonies to match the bride’s bouquet - they looked so real we weren’t sure if they were edible! He also took an image of a custom monogram we planned to use on our dance floor and incorporated it into bottom layer of frosting. Ron Ben-Israel is a true artist who we highly recommend for a wedding or any event! We look forward to another family event to work with him again!

Loved our wedding cake--looked and tasted absolutely amazing! We got the cake included in a package for our reception venue, so the ordering and tasting process was very easy for us. Ron is a delight to work with, and at the tasting he had us look through a couple of giant books of cake photos and pick out the designs we liked the best. We tasted a chocolate and citrus cake; I'm usually a chocolate person but the citrus was AMAZING and turned out to be perfect for our summer wedding. On the wedding day, the cake looked beautiful and guests would keep stopping by to ask if the flowers were actually made of sugar (they are!). They looked so real and perfectly matched our other flowers. The cake itself was delicious; even the outer fondant was great. We are so glad that we get to have some again for our first anniversary!

Our cake was beautiful and-- just as important-- it was also delicious. We went with a chocolate cake and chocolaty fillings. My only regret is that we didn't do the Mexican hot chocolate filling !! (It was my favorite, but my husband thought it might be too spicy for some of our older guests.)

RBI cakes created a beautiful and delicious cake for our wedding. They also created a small cake top for us to eat on our 1 year anniversary. We had so much fun working with the RBI team to customize our cake!

It has been almost 5 months since our wedding and our guests are still commenting on how unbelievably beautiful and delicious our cake was! Ron was SO nice and fun to work with as was his entire team! The cake tasting we had with him made all of my food network dreams come true and was easily both mine and my husbands favorite wedding planning memory! I would 1000% recommend Ron Ben-Israel, especially their yellow cake with chocolate chip frosting and cookies and cream frosting :-)

From the moment we walked into RBI's sprawling studio, (Greeted by Ron, himself!) we were completely enchanted by the incredible confectionary designs and superior hospitality by Ron and Elizabeth. Our tasting and design session went beautifully, and I truly have never ever had a more delicious cake. I am not typically a "cake" person, but Ron's cakes are in a class all their own. On our wedding day, our gorgeously constructed rose gold-accented cake had ourselves and the guests in awe. Looking back at it in the pictures is an absolute pleasure that we'll be able to experience forever. Thank you so much to Ron and Elizabeth for giving us a completely first-class experience and ensuring that we received the cake of our dreams!

Most talented and creative artist! Ron Ben Israel created the most incredible cake for our wedding at the New York Palace. Every single guest raved about our gorgeous cake. They had never seen anything like it! It was so unbelievable there was a line 100 deep just to photograph it before entering the ballroom. Plus, Ron and his team are beyond lovely to work with and extremely professional. There was no question too small for them to answer. They executed everything to perfection and the cake tasted as good as it looked! If you need a cake for any celebration they are the best!

We had a great experience with Ron Ben-Israel Bakeries, Bridals. They were very professional on their approach. Tasting was schedule way before the event, we was a very comprehensive and broad degustation. The day of the event we had the cake on time and it was beautiful, the taste of the flavors we selected were amazing! Everybody that we spoke to were complementing the cake. Mesmerizing and exquisite

The Ron Ben-Israel team created the most beautiful wedding cake we could have ever imagined! Our guests cannot stop raving about how delicious it was!!! Also, we already have our beautiful sugar flowers displayed in a jar in our home! It was absolutely perfect and stunning!

Delicious cake. Lovely ordering process. But I didn't love the end result. My vision just didn't translate into reality... but partially my fault!

Ron Ben-Israel and his team were wonderful to work with. The cake turned out more beautiful than we could imagine. The inside was alternating vanilla and chocolate layers and the top 2 layers were gluten free for the bride who has celiac disease. The filling was coffee and cinnamon cappuccino. We hated to cut into the cake but so glad we did. The guests loved it and we enjoyed every morsel of leftovers.

We had an amazing cake for our wedding and I loved that Ron did not let me get side tracked with all the pretty things I was seeing in his showroom! He kept me on point and organized and actually was a bit of a mind reader even though he claimed he wasn't! At the end, what he proposed was exactly what I wanted! The cake was absolutely stunning and we got so many compliments from the guests! I am still saving my top layer for a special occasion in my freezer! Highly recommend!!!

A quick 30 minute meeting with Ron resulted in the wedding cake of our dreams! It was a work of art and sooooo delicious. He has the most amazing and unique ideas for how the cake will look and plenty to choose from! Just amazing!!

The cake that Ron Ben Israel Cakes designed for us was exquisite. The edible flowers were gorgeous! It was a shame to eat them that's how wonderful they were. Importantly, not only was the outside of the cake gorgeous, but the inside was too and it tasted great! So many clever and playful filling ideas (Nutella, Heath Bar Crunch, etc.)

A Ron Ben Israel cake was included with my wedding package from my caterer. Ron was an absolute pleasure to work with. He designed my cake to reflect designs of my dress. And of course his cakes are just delicious.

I tried quite a few cakes before coming to Ron Ben Israel that I did not like at all. Coming here I felt like I belonged. This is where I was supposed to get my cake from. I tried 16 flavor combinations while there and I just wanted to keep eating. I think I went to the office 3 or 4 times and each time Ron Ben Israel himself came out to greet me. Elizabeth was amazing also. My cake arrived on time and even though my groom is not a huge cake person he ate 3 slices at our wedding and comments on it any chance that he can that it was amazing. We were both very pleased.

It was a great experience working with Ron and his team. The cake was beautiful, tasted great, and my wife was thrilled.

Having been to many weddings and hating wedding cake, it was my mission to find the most delicious wedding cake in NYC. After much research it became obvious that Ron Ben-Israel has the most delicious AND most beautiful wedding cakes availble. We worked with Rebecca who, by the way, is a class act. She could not have been more helpful during our cake tasting. We tried several different cakes and various fillings and decided to go with Chocolate Cake with Berry and Cinnamon Cappuccino fillings. Not only was the cake super moist, fresh and delicious - the cascading flowers were absolutely spectacular. We matched the edible sugar flowers to both my gown and centerpieces. The cake was a masterful work of art. So pretty but yet inviting. Guests are still raving about how amazing the wedding cake was. Most people don't even eat wedding cake. In my case, they asked for a second helping. It was, without question, worth every penny. Go ahead and splurge! Maria

There is a reason RBI is a star on the Food Network...his cakes are art and taste even better than they look. Enough said!

One advice please dont use them to make your wedding cake if you want it to taste good and be fresh. Yes they made a beautiful cake but I couldn't take a second bite of it. I think they made it days ago as they get a lot or orders and it was hard and dry, so much that the butter cream between layers had hardened rock solid. The flavors of the cake were awful. I just don't have enough bad words to say how bad it tasted. I just wish we would have gone with some one who did not had such a big name for wedding cakes and costed way less and serve our guests a mouth watering cake.

It goes without saying that Ron is a baking genius and our cake was certainly testimony to that! The sugar flowers were perfect replicas of our arrangements and they incorporated beautiful detailing from my wedding dress as well. Oh, and did I mention everything was DELICIOUS?? Ron & his team (thanks Rebecca!) actually made a specialty Pineapple flavor for us as a surprise for my parents who'd had a pineapple cake for their wedding 34 years ago. It was a magical touch. Beyond that - the service as amazing. The cake was made and delivered to our reception during the Hurricane Irene weekend. They came through for us in every way!!

FLAVOR & SERVICE The tasting for our reception was incredible, but we could not find an equally incredible bakery in the Scranton, PA area to top off our special day. I'd seen Ron Ben-Israel's cakes in many magazines, but didn't think it was feasible, since the wedding was in NE PA. My husband said that everything was so perfect, we should fly to NYC to see if Ron's cakes taste as awesome as they look. We did AND IT WAS! We couldn't believe that the cake tasted as phenomenal as it looked! Rebecca was a dream to work with and made sure that everything ran smoothly. For a nominal price, we had them deliver the cake from NYC to Scranton. WORTH EVERY PENNY! We used 2 different flavor choices for our cake among 4 tiers: pumpkin w/ mascarpone cinnamon pecan crunch filling and, for our less adventurous guests, vanilla cake w/blood orange (tastes like orange creamsicle- yum!) and blackberry fillings (alt. layers). DELICIOUS!!! ARTWORK- our cake had a spiral cascade of sugar flowers that everyone swore were real flowers- peonies, roses, stephanotis, and many other flowers. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! There were even petals scattered around the tiers that added to the realistic look of it. We gave flowers to some guests as a party favor and kept the bouquet on top for ourselves that we will find a shadowbox for and proudly display in our home. The bands around the bottom of the tiers were like architectural trim you would find in a palace (3D). They were burgundy with with the appearance of copper foil on the protruding parts of the design and purple sparkles and jewels- and ALL EDIBLE! PRICE- for those who are fans of sugar art, you can understand the price because you know the extent of the work that goes into a work of art like this. For those unaware- for the calibre of work that Ron and his staff produce, VERY REASONABLE! Compare to other artists (though Ron is my favorite anyway), you will find his prices very reasonable. My husband and I can be thrifty, but when we saw what Ron's staff delivered to our reception, we had no quams about what we spent. WE FELT LIKE ROYALTY! We cut our budget in other places, so we could have our dream cake. It really was a perfect day for us, that our Ron Ben-Israel cake contributed to... LOVED IT!

Ron is such a sweet man, and he helped create a beautiful cake that fit our theme, and everyone raved that it tasted wonderful and fresh, and we agreed.
