We were so happy with our wedding at Rose Hill Manor! We were married in December 2023 so we used the small ballroom for the ceremony and the main ballroom for the reception. The staff were very flexible and accommodating and worked great with our wedding planner/decorator and other vendors. Laia Altamirano was great to work with! We loved the food from Gala Cuisine. The venue is so elegant and made for a beautiful wedding!
My fiancé and I feel in love with the venue right when we walked in. Nicholas was a great guide and very helpful throughout our tour!
Nicholas was amazing to work with! His customer service, knowledge, and helpfulness is exceptional. He is quick to respond and has the answer to any wedding related question! He was very well prepared for our in person tour and it has been a pleasure working with him thus far. If you go with this venue, you will not be disappointed working with him.
We had my daughter's wedding in October. We had a great experiences with Rose Hill Manor services & Staffs . Highly recommended
Nicholas was amazing to work with! Even though we didn’t end up going with this venue, the customer service and overall experience with him was exceptional. He is so knowledgeable about everything and is very responsive.. which is so important!! If you go with this venue, you will not be disappointed working with him. The place is also beautiful!
I had high hopes for Rose Hill Manor, but our experience was incredibly disappointing. After scheduling multiple visits to discuss details, the venue staff was rarely available, which left us feeling unsupported.
To make matters worse, just two weeks before our wedding, they lost our food menu from Gala Cuisine, causing unnecessary stress and scrambling on our part. On top of that, during our contracted time for the wedding and en suite hours, another couple and party preparing for their wedding the next day was allowed to rehearse and to interrupt our suite hours, walking in while we were getting ready. Little did we know they allow this and include it in their contract. Read the contract carefully as they seem to double dip.
Overall, I cannot recommend Rose Hill Manor. The lack of organization and respect for our time made, what should have been a joyous occasion, made it much more stressful than it needed to be.
I knew from the moment we drove up to Rose Hill Manor for a tour, that this was the place for us. My fiancé and I had been looking for a venue for a while when we came across The Manors, and Nicholas Suarez has been beyond fantastic from the very beginning. When I wanted to schedule the tour, he responded promptly and showed me not one but two venues. He was thorough in explaining everything, answered our questions, and even took the time to speak to my fiancé on FaceTime as he was out of town. I would 1000% recommend this venue and especially Nicholas!
As soon as we stepped into Rose Hill Manor we knew it would be the perfect venue for our wedding. We got so many compliments on how beautiful the space was. The ballroom was perfect for the reception and the outdoor patio was beautiful for the ceremony. Everything was exactly how we had imagined it. The planning process went smoothly because we utilized a lot of The Manors preferred vendors. All of our vendors were incredible and knew the space well which was a huge plus. Kristin our day of/month of planner with the venue did an excellent job answering all of the questions that came up and was very honest about how some things would work on the day which was much appreciated. Kristin also ensured that the day itself went very smoothly. Thank you so much for making our vision come true!
Nicholas at Rose Hill Manor was incredible to work with. He was very prompt in replying to emails and worked extremely well with our evolving touring schedule that day. He is very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions with ease. The communication following signing our contract was good as well. We cannot wait to have our wedding there this summer!
One of the most gorgeous venues I’ve ever seen plus amazing staff!! I’ve had the best experience with their entire staff, especially Nicholas Suarez who has answered any and all questions we’ve had in a timely manner.
My fiancé and I were a little hesitant at first but after speaking with Nicholas, we knew Rose Hill was the venue for us. 1000% recommend!!
Nicholas was amazing and incredibly patient throughout our venue search. He showed me several venues leading up to our final decision. It was hard to make a decision out of the different venues The Manors has to offer but Nicholas was super helpful! We are so excited for our wedding this coming summer!
Everything in the lead up to our wedding has been extremely easy. Nicholas has always been easy to get in contact with and the pictures from past events have been a great inspiration for what we have been planning. Nicholas was extremely responsive while initially setting up a tour and going over options. The tours were very thorough.
The venue offers many different packages. It is nice to know that so much has been taken care of from the venue’s standpoint. That makes the wedding planning that much easier. The venue is, also, gorgeous. They have let us tour it multiple times to show it off to our family members before the big day. Absolutely love it!
Nick was fantastic throughout our venue searching process. I’m the first of my peers to get married, which meant I had no one to lean on for advice. Nick was so helpful in this regard! He had an answer for every question we posed, demonstrating his expertise in the wedding space. It was such an easy decision to go with Rose Hill Manor, and perfect for the busy bride who needs a one-stop shop for their special day. I can’t thank this team enough, and am so excited for my wedding next year!
Had a great experience working w/ Nicholas who supported with securing the venue and logistics. He was extremely responsive (and quick) and knowledgeable about the space. He also communicated with the restaurant we are catering from to help with our specifications for them.
My reception will be held here next year in October! I instantly fell in love when I saw it in-person. It is definitely my dream venue! Our experience with the team has already been so amazing thanks to Nicholas! He has been so great to work with. He took my fiancé and I through a detailed in-person tour of the venue and is constantly willing to help us with anything that we may need. Our planning process with the wedding is going by smoothly due to his knowledge and speedy responses! Very grateful that he is a call or text away for whenever I have a question. I cannot wait to keep planning my wedding and to see everything at the venue on the big day!
Our wedding at Rose Hill Manor was a magical experience, and I cannot say enough about the venue and the incredible staff who made our day so special. We were privileged to get married during the fall season and the venue's natural beauty. A standout feature of Rose Hill Manor is its in-house catering and the delicious and diverse cuisine that blew us away. The aspect of excellent communication cannot be understated. From the initial planning stages to the final execution, the staff at Rose Hill Manor was responsive and accommodating.
However, Lindsay, our month-of coordinator, was the true hero of our wedding day. Lindsay's dedication and expertise were unparalleled. She went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly and that we had the wedding of our dreams. Lindsay's kindness, knowledge, and understanding made her an absolute pleasure to work with. She effortlessly handled any issues, ensuring we didn't have to worry about a thing. Her talent for coordinating such an intricate event was evident in every detail. Lindsay, we can't thank you enough for your hard work and dedication.
We just got married here (August) and I can’t recommend it enough. Great location, beautiful inside area for reception for 140 people. I think if you get north of 160-175 it will be tight. We had our ceremony outside under the pergola area and it was beautiful. The Rose Hill Manor team of coordinators were amazing and helpful the entire way through. Great at answering all our questions leading up to the wedding and making sure we didn't have to think the day of. They worked well with all our vendors. For us being able to use our own caterers was the icing on top.
The Rose Hill Manor was so great to work with. From beginning to end, everyone was so responsive, helpful and easy to work with! I worked with Tami to get our contract up and running. She was so patient with me as I went back to the venue with several people to confirm this decision. She walked us through the contract multiple times, all with a smile on her face!
I got Tori as a wedding planner, and she was the absolute best! Even guests at the wedding were talking about how great she was! She gave me all the documents I needed to make everything nice and smooth, was super responsive to any random question I had, and suggested a bunch of great ideas. She is also so sweet and so easy to work with! I was so happy with the whole team!
The venue itself is so perfect! We only had 100 people so it was a perfect size in my opinion! Not too big, but not too small. the room itself is so beautiful with the lighting and large windows. I highly recommend having your wedding at Rose Hill!
My financée and I had a wonderful experience touring the manors with Nicholas. He made us feel right at home and went out of his way to accommodate our needs. We have non-traditional work schedules, but he found a time for a 1:1 meeting that worked for us, although it was likely an inconvenient time for him. He spent his whole morning showing us around the venues and wasn't at all put off when we decided not to tour one of the venues last minute for personal reasons. He was so well-read on the properties and had answers for our every question. For example, we asked what the property might look like in November. In response, he pulled up (within seconds!) drone footage of the property in November. Nicholas was extremely kind, warm, and put us at ease. He was completely transparent and not at all pushy. Highly recommend.
We went on a group tour with a few other couples to see this venue and a few others (poplar springs, the view at bluemont, and raspberry plain) owned by the same people. We didn’t mind seeing it with others, but we found our tour guide and sales rep to be extremely salesy and it was a huge turn off. We weren’t provided an itinerary ahead of time— and if there was, it was buried somewhere in one of the novels we were sent. We were told where to drive along the way, and it was an hour in between each location! Would have been nice to know ahead of time what the schedule was for the day. Don’t get me wrong— I want information, but it was completely disorganized and hard to find what we needed. It felt like we were being moved with the herd and the constant scarcity tactics (we book x number of dates a week, book fast!) got old very fast. When I finally told him I had booked another venue, there were no well wishes or any “let me know if you need anything” or “what made you go with something different?” The response was “which venue?” That’s literally all that was in the email. We simply didn’t want to work with someone that pushy and salesy.
We had the most elegant wedding at this venue! The wood floors, the white walls, the large windows and the gold accents were PERFECT! We enjoyed the air conditioning (it was JULY- so we were inside). We had 125 guests and it was a great fit for what we were looking for. There were great bathroom facilities and the food was amazing as well.
When I started my wedding planning journey its was right after things started opening up from the pandemic. I instantly fell in love with Rose Hill Manor, on the virtual tour and the in person tour. I knew I would love this venue. We actually went to Manassas to see the Foxchase location, which was equally beautiful but to me not as intimate, so we went with Rose Hill Manor.
I chose this venue because it had everything included, plus you can bring your own alcohol and they will provide a server. Another favorite detail is the month and day of coordinator. My coordinator was Lindsay Robeson and she was absolutely amazing and worked so hard to make sure my day was as smooth as possible. Some of the things that people may not see is that they have many weddings and they are preparing for your wedding the night after a previous event. The coordinator (Lindsay for me) and event staff work so hard to make sure they give you everything you need. I am so glad that I trusted the process and allowed Lindsay to coordinate my wedding because she decorated my space with little direction literally following a inventory checklist. She worked so well with my vendors. They also have an amazing preferred vendor list that I used for most of my vendors. I interviewed multiple vendors and the vendors on their list was always the best choice.
Overall my wedding day was perfect, the only thing I had to focus on was getting beautiful for my wedding. Everyone worked so hard to do everything that need to be done and it showed. The smiles on the staff face at the end of the night was amazing, because it showed that even they enjoyed the event. If you communicate your expectations and trust their process they will follow through with everything. Lindsay helped me to not stress the planning and even reached out to my vendors for me to confirm their set up time's. I would absolutely recommend this venue and my only advice would be don't stress the small stuff and don't panic and start hiring other people because The Manor's staff will get the job done.
Our wedding was incredible, and the venue space itself was great, but communication from this venue is really lacking. We were overcharged at the beginning (because I had my own wedding planner), after which Nicholas very rudely told us we should fire her because we wouldn't need her. That couldn't have been further from the truth. There was so much important information about actual event start/end times, load in procedures, extra charges, that wasn't communicated until a few weeks before. They ended up taking over an hour to get dinner out, and it seemed like they had so few staff members actually working. I saw food being passed around at cocktail hour maybe twice. In general no guests actually noticed how long it took to get dinner, and my wedding was great, but it was great because of all the vendors I chose. Despite all that our coordinator with the venue, Abigail, was very nice and did negotiate a lower price on vendor meals since we had such a large band. I got the impression she was doing the best she could with the way the venue is run.
Rose Hill Manor had its up and downs for sure. I mean, what business did not face hardship and challenges when faced with Covid? I will admit, our initial experience did not leave us with the greatest first impression, when it came to communication and the handling of this pandemic. However, it is also my belief there was turnover with their staff and this is where Lindsay - our Wedding Coordinator - came into play . It was at this point that our overall experience began to change for the better. Lindsay is incredibly nice and professional and the venue is really lucky to have her.
Case in point: Our worst case scenario was realized when we had to cancel our wedding the day of. But, Lindsay was there for us and very empathic and supportive in our pursuit to work with the venue for our 3rd wedding attempt. As it turns out, the venue was also flexible and worked with us to make a dream day come true. So, make sure you check out Rose Hill, enjoy the delicious food, request Lindsay as your Wedding Coordinator and leave the rest of the planning to them.
Had my beautiful wedding at Rose Hill. It was exactly what I envisioned. Tori was more help than I could of ever asked for. She helped everything stay on track during the night and made sure everything was where I wanted it to be. Everyone was very accommodating and helped out tremendously when I had questions throughout the process. The food is also extremely good. Everyone raved about it. If you are looking for an elegant wedding venue in a convenient location look here .
Nicholas was such an amazing tour guide/coordinator. He was very knowledgeable about the property and put together a great wedding package/information package for us that included vendors, sample timeline, hotels, etc. Nicholas is a WEALTH of knowledge and I highly recommend him and this venue. We originally wanted Raspberry Plain, but unfortunately our wedding date was unavailable. As such, Nicholas pointed us to Rose Hill Manor and gave us a full zoom tour of the property. I loved the courtyard and the large wooden front doors.
He showed us all the linens and decorations that would come included with our package and gave us suggestions for vendors that would help make our wedding a dream come true! Nicholas is like a fairy godfather with all his wedding magic and knowledge!
Excellent service. Nicholas Suarez is a great person, courteous and accommodating
The Rose Hill Manor is absolutely stunning!
I set the date for our wedding on New Years' Eve 2021 for October 21st, 2023. I reached out to Nicholas and he was able to have a zoom meeting with us last minute. He explained everything that was included in the manors, shared photos and layouts of ideas for the wedding, as well as gave us a zoom tour of the manors we were interested in. He also sent us all the information after the zoom meeting as well to review. He even scheduled the same-day in-person venue tour at Rose Hill Manor for us! We fell in love with the aesthetics of the manor, the all-inclusive package, all the information and details provided first-hand, and Nicholas's responsiveness, efficiency, and friendliness. He also helped us book our photo booth for our wedding! We can't wait to have our wedding at Rose Hill Manor next year in October!
Nicholas has been a great help and a joy to work with!
I just set a date for our wedding for next fall and it’s been wonderful working with this vendor! Nicholas is absolutely amazing and responds so fast and is 100% honest with you! He genuinely wants you to have your dream wedding. Everything was so easy from the speedy responses, zoom calls, and in person tours! I’m so excited for our wedding and it’s been pretty stress free so far! Rose Hill Manor is breathtakingly beautiful and comes with so much with the packages it’s completely worth every penny.
I am the mother of the bride. Our daughter is getting marry next year 2023 and looking for the venue in Virginia, (We are in Ohio).
I inquired all the manors and Nicholas Suarez reached out to us and gave us a wonderful zoom tour (the time we can do at 8:30p on Friday night). After the zoom tour, he sent me all the information (complete - I mean like (the small details how much liquor you need to buy and so on). We do appreciate him a lot.
On Easter Sunday, I had some questions and email it to Nicholas and did not expect him to reply till Monday BUT he did reply me almost immediately and answered my questions.
Our daughter had 2 venues in mind and she chose Rose Hill Manor.
We are looking forward to have wedding at Rose Hill Manor (Beautiful .. will have in person tour )and working with Nicholas the process. (He said, I’ll always be here for you all during the planning process and I’ll always be super responsive like this!" ..
gave us a peace.
I will review again after the wedding!
Lindsay did an AMAZING job making our day effortless and handling any bumps along the way with ease. My wife can have anxiety at the best of times, and we know weddings can only up the ante. With that in mind, Lindsay did everything in her power to make things run smoothly. From helping me herd my groomsmen for photos, to ensuring the DJ played the right songs and had the right intro announcements, she had us walking through our ceremonies and into the reception with ease. I selfishly also appreciated her often grabbing me fresh beers while on the dance floor as I was usually making runs bringing my wife champagne. She has a lot of positive energy and was on point the entire night. If you get her as your coordinator for your nuptials, count yourself lucky!
The staff at Rose Hill were excellent and professional as well. The only thing I wish they had done was placed all of the beer options on the bar (we had some high quality brewery beers that they did not display, just placed the Heinekens and Stellas), but when this was called out, again, Lindsay stepped up and made sure guests were all aware of the brewery beers (which were provided by a best friends family who owns the brewery from my hometown). We only had 10 of those beers left by nights end after Lindsay made rounds informing guests and letting the bar tenders know to display them. Needless to say party was lit. If you are at Rose Hill, I highly recommend asking for outdoor space heaters (provided the wedding is in the fall, winter or early spring) we had them up front with a cigar stand and a bourbon bar, it was a big hit!
Thanks again for the excellent evening, you helped make our wedding a night to remember!
As soon as I saw Rose Hill Manor, I fell in love with how beautiful it was! This was exactly the type of venue we were looking for for our Leesburg wedding. We appreciated that so much was included in the package which helped on the planning & coordinating end. While there were a few miscommunications along the way, everyone at Rose Hill was quick to reach out and get things figured out each time. We feel lucky that we got to work with Dawn as our month-of-coordinator. She was very knowledgeable, handled everything and kept the day running smoothly! Rose Hill is so beautiful both inside and outside! We had our ceremony and cocktail hour outside on the back patio which worked out great. The reception was inside the ballroom which was beautifully set up. Dawn handled all of the set-up & coordination with our other vendors. The food was yummy and all of the staff that was there on our wedding day was great! All-in-all, we had a perfect wedding day at Rose Hill Manor!
Rose Hill Manor was not only visually stunning but the staff was so incredibly helpful and accommodating. Lindsay Robeson, our coordinator, was probably the very reason our very long awaited wedding went as smoothly as it did. We were so incredibly blessed by her professionalism and flexibility. My husband and I were affected by the pandemic and had to reschedule our wedding not once, not twice, but THREE times! And Rose Hill and Lindsay were nothing but phenomenal assisting us through the painful process. Our final wedding date, November 13, 2021, was cold, windy, but so beautifully amazing. We had last minute changes but everything worked out only because of Rose Hill Manor's staff. We finally had the wedding of our dreams and we cannot recommend this venue enough. Thank you!
Wow! Where do I begin? The entire wedding planning team at Mimi Ebichi Events, would really like to thank and appreciate the staff and the owner of Rose Hill Manor for their dedication and support to delivering excellent customer experience. As a wedding planner, I look deeper into the services rendered with a very keen and detailed eye to make sure that my clients are satisfied. RHM delivered on this promise at my clients 11/21/21 wedding.
Thank you Abigail for stepping in and helping the groom and his 5 groomsmen with their bowtie and running a tight shift with the support staff.
Thank you Dawn for timely follow-ups and responses. I appreciate you showing up to make sure my team and clients were ok.
Thank you Nicholas for making time to tour the venue with us during the peak of the pandemic and offering value where and when necessary.
Thank you Sammy for being a humble yet intelligent businessman. You are a true visionary and I am glad you have created spectacular venue spaces for all especially multicultural people.
Again, thank you all so much for delivering a great customer experience. My clients (couple) and their guests were very happy and still relishing the entire day and night.
I look forward to more beautiful weddings at the manors.
Lindsay and Rose Hill were wonderful to work with for our wedding.
She was flexible with last minute changes( from photo timeline to access to the venue the week of) and made our wedding as stress free as possible.
Rose Hill Manor is a obviously a beautiful venue. My husband and I booked this venue out 18 months prior to our intended wedding date of April 2021. Then of course COVID-19 happened and we decided to push the date back to November 2021 to allow our guests to have the opportunity to get vaccinated if they wanted and for everyone to feel safe. It was a bummer that there was a $1000 fee to move the date but it was listed in the contract clear as day. Luckily, management worked with me on adding an additional passed appetizer and let me come in early on the day of to get ready. I really appreciated the flexibility in those two areas. There also happened to be a lot of staff turnover during our 2 year engagement which was a little confusing at time. Shout out to our day of coordinator Lindsay! She was fantastic! I had moved out of the area and would not be able to come to the final walk through. She was very flexible in working around my schedule and accommodating my situation. My sister and parents ended up going to the final walk through and she was not pushy on getting my final numbers until 2 weeks prior. Lindsay did an amazing job getting everything set up day of. She went out of her way to collect flowers that my florist had forgotten to place on our cake. We gave her a box of filler decorations to be placed around the venue and she crushed it! Everything looked absolutely perfect! The only minor complaint I have was that the vegetables on the day of were different from my tasting and the wine I had purchased was not placed on the tables during dinner.
They say wedding planning is stressful, but it’s way more stressful when you’ve picked the wrong venue like we did with Rose Hill Manor.
The day we toured the place, we fell in love- both the inside and outside of the venue were beautiful, and they had a nice long patio where we wanted to have our reception. I fell in love so quickly with the venue that I ignored all the red flags that were staring me in the face. While I can’t go into too much detail due to character limits, here are the biggest issues we had:
We were charged a change fee of $1000 to move our wedding during a pandemic
We were sent by the administrative team the check for another client, to include full routing and account numbers. When questioned if this was common, the director of sales got annoyed with us
After over a year of clear communication from our wedding planner, we were told we could no longer have our reception outside due to a noise ordinance. They compromised, however, they did not communicate effectively.
Our wedding planner had reached out at the end of May to schedule our tasting. She got a response from the receptionist that the venue would reach out when they were ready to schedule our tasting. After scheduling a date that was then changed, our tasting ended up being only TWO MONTHS before the wedding. This ultimately pushed back our invitations and our RSVP deadline. HOWEVER, this did NOT push back the deadline that the venue wanted the numbers AND final payment, which was 30 days prior to the wedding. We had to harass our guests to get responses so that the VENUE could have the responses by the deadline THEY wanted them by, to the point where our wedding planner basically told them we will get it to them 10 days prior to the event date which was stated in the contract as the last possible date.
After all the issues we had, I ended up having a phone call with the current Director of Sales. I expressed my grievances, and she was nice and understanding. She agreed to give us the price breaks if we were to have more people attend the wedding. At this point (beginning of August) I thought we maybe turned a corner. Turns out I was wrong; the wedding coordinator they assigned to us, while nice, was utterly clueless. She kept botching things left and right that I had discussed with the DoS For example: we were originally told when we signed the contract that we couldn’t use their gold chairs outdoors. So we rented our own. The DoS said they changed the policy and now we could use the chairs, so we canceled the order. During the walk through, we were now told, again, that we couldn’t use the chairs by the coordinator. She was incorrect, as we confirmed with the DoS, but during the confusion she was short and rude about it. Additionally, on our wedding day, many guests mentioned that she was rude in asking them to show her their place card so her “staff” could give out the proper meals. She also told my new mother in law, who was helping to clean that if she didn’t leave RIGHT NOW that she would have to charge us more money for being over time. We were told that, as long as we were actively cleaning up, we had until 1am to leave.
The only positive thing was the day of staff, excluding the coordinator, was excellent and super helpful. Especially the bartenders and service staff. It’s a beautiful venue and that’s about it- there are plenty of other beautiful venues in Northern Virginia so do yourself a favor and avoid the headache by going somewhere else.
My experience as the groom. This is a “buyer beware” location. Venue: Beautiful and Convenient.Food: very good. Event Support staff: very pleasant. Management and communication: awful, poor at best. This is NOT a cheap place. You’re paying top dollar for a beautiful venue. And it IS beautiful and well kept. My wife and I booked this venue in March of 2020 with an original wedding date of 6/5/21. Because of COVID and travel situations for guests, we had to postpone to 9/10/21. How accommodating were they you ask? They weren’t. We originally contracted for a Saturday wedding with 125 guests. We ended up with a Friday wedding and about 90 guests. Did we get any financial credit for moving from a Saturday wedding to a Friday which was supposed to be cheaper? NO. Did we have to pay a $1000 date change fee. (COVID doesn’t matter). Did we get credit for the difference in guest count? Nope. We got a cheese plate for our guests! Keep in mind you’re required to pay IN FULL 30 days in advance, yet they demanded full payment in May for our September wedding, after our date change. We were supposed to have a “wedding coordinator” through them. It was clearly in the contract. This was not upheld and 6 weeks before the wedding they told us we needed to pay them more for the line item addendum. It was a constant battle and took numerous demands and even legal threats by us to get them to honor their written agreement. This went so far so that we were advised and went out and hired a second wedding planner because of the poor communication and complete lack of trust with the staff and management. The turnover of staff was unbelievable, you almost never had a single point of contact or knew who to get a hold of if you had a question. Day of: We had the venue from 1-11pm. Naturally you get there early to prep, relax and take photos on the beautiful grounds. For us these photos didn’t happen. The the landscapers were there cutting and blowing grass from starting at about 1-2pm and we had to demand (multiple times) they leave all the way up to and even when some of our guests were arriving. Completely unacceptable. The answer we got from the “venue director” was “those aren’t my people”. Eventually the landscapers left, but those pictures on the grounds you paid and hoped for…nope, not unless you want grass stains and clippings all over your wife’s white wedding dress and sweaty guys on mowers in the background. Despite that, we made it through and our guests drank, ate and danced the night away. Then came ending time and our grand exit. We thought everything was going well until the venue director demanded and threatened to charge us for extra time for clean up. At the end of the day, our guests enjoyed themselves and thanks to amazing friends and family ONLY, it worked out. This venue is not worth the headache and constant battle to get them to just do their job and follow through on their duties contractually. Buyer beware and don’t rely on them for anything.
This is the most magical venue! The entire experience was amazing. Their organized process and communication was phenomenal. The staff is the best to work with! All our guests, as well as us, were overwhelmed with the classic beauty and the grounds of the Manor.
We got married this past May at Rose Hill Manor and they made everything so easy! They really have a process that works and a great team behind them for carrying out a stress free wedding planning experience. We signed a contract with them just 2 months before our wedding date given rising COVID restrictions in Washington, DC and they were able to accommodate our wedding in such a short period of time. It's really nice that they provide you with a wedding coordinator as well and they are BYOB which helps cut down on costs by avoiding a pricey alcohol package. Lindsay Mages was our wedding coordinator and I can't say enough great things about her! She was always a text a way and was very organized and even helped us make some of the last minute decisions to make our wedding day special and customized to our personality as a couple.
Rose Hill Manor was truly a gorgeous venue for my daughter's wedding! We could not have asked for more. From our first phone call with Nicholas we received prompt answers, a tour, and help with our questions. Our wedding coordinator was Penny who was wonderful and helped us in more ways than I can say. She made it a fun experience and we felt so comfortable in her experienced hands. Everything we seemed to be worried about she explained how it would work, and said "Don't worry, that is why I am here." That was a great feeling, especially on wedding day! She knew the venue and was ready for anything. The food was excellent as well. It was a magical wonderful day and everyone commented on the beautiful venue. Thank you Rose Hill Manor!
Rose Hill Manor is the absolute perfect wedding venue! We knew from the moment we pulled up front that it was where we wanted to get married. Everything from the initial tour with Nicholas (who answered all of my 100+ questions and then some) to questions while planning with the admin staff to finally the final month and day of with our amazing coordinator, Lindsay, everything was as smooth as ever thanks to the professionalism and positive attitude of the staff! A special shout out to Lindsay, Dawn Aisha, Nicholas, the entire banquet staff and everyone behind the scenes!! We couldn't have asked for a better day of staff who made every aspect of our day perfect!!
Rose Hill Manor was a dream venue for our COVID wedding and if I had to do it all over again, without a global pandemic going on, I would still pick Rose Hill. We were working with a bit of a time crunch because we wanted to have our ceremony before the holidays since cases would spike again and despite booking the venue 6 weeks before our date, the team at Rose Hill was able to make it as easy and stress free as possible. The initial booking/contract process with Turon was great - he was very responsive to my emails/texts and even helped us with some vendor recommendations since we were so short on time. We were then introduced to our month of coordinator, Audrey, who was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is very detail oriented which was a huge help during the walk through and when it came to coming up with our day of timeline. Also, despite having never coordinated an Afghan/Pakistani wedding, she was so respectful of our cultures and made sure certain requests were incorporated into the event. I honestly wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding and Audrey was the one that really helped bring our vision to life. Rose Hill is a beautiful venue and I’m still getting texts from our friends and family about how beautiful it is and what a great time they had at the wedding. It wouldn’t have been possible without the great team they have working at the manors.
The venue is very beautiful and spacious, we had a lovely wedding at Rose Hill, and everyone commented on how beautiful the venue was. Due to the coronavirus outbreak, we had to dramatically reduce the amount of guests we expected to come to the venue. It took some difficult negotiations, but they made concessions for us in terms of pricing that we definitely appreciate. We appreciated their helpfulness, and how easy they were to contact. The food could stand to be a little more tasty but it's event food and certainly not the worst wedding food we've ever had. All in all I have such beautiful and happy memories from my wedding day at Rose Hill and would choose them if I had to do it all over again!
We hired Gala Cuisine for the venue, catering and month of coordinator. The reason they are getting a 2 star review is simply for how beautiful the venue is, the food, and the month of coordinator we worked with. Everything else was okay. Although we had some pandemic-related issues, there was a number of things that happened that were inexcusable.
Pros:
Our month of coordinator was Nikki, who was great. We bumped heads on a few things, but overall, I thought she was professional and kept everything organized for us leading up to the big day.
Despite the issues we had with the catering contract (below), the food was delicious. Food was one of our top priorities and during our tasting we knew we were going to upgrade to their catering package. The appetizers were amazing.
Finally, the location, interior and exterior are gorgeous. If you want a fancy wedding – this is your backdrop.
Cons:
Our salesperson we worked with was Nicholas. Nicholas was fine during the walk through of the venue, but then when we had follow up questions before/after signing the contract, I always felt like we were bothering him when we emailed or called him. Most of the time he wouldn’t answer our calls, and instead sent someone else to call us. If we were supposed to talk to other people post-sale that would have been fine, but we never got those instructions.
A month before our wedding, we were told that we no longer could serve two proteins on one plate despite agreeing to that at the tasting and contracting based off of it. Luckily, we had it in writing that they agreed to do it so they eventually allowed it. However, they framed it as though they were “making an exception” THEN told us that we would have to drop a side because the plate wasn’t big enough… All of this would have been okay if we were told before we locked in our menu, but it was a MONTH before the wedding. We already had menus printed and RSVP cards that didn’t ask for a specific protein choice. We didn’t make our menu an extremely long time before our final wedding date so I have no idea why they all of sudden changed their mind on what they could serve.
We ended up having our wedding in the height of the COVID pandemic, and due to that our guest list ended up being much smaller than expected (travel restrictions, sick guests, general comfortability). We gave Rose Hill a 3 weeks heads up that we were going to be significantly below our contracted RSVP number (this is a week earlier than required by the venue). Given the crazy circumstances we are all going through, we were hoping they would give us some sort of refund, but ultimately, they refused. We ended up having to pay for 80 meals above our actual guest count and they wouldn’t even give us a partial refund. The best we could negotiate was for them to prepare the extra meals, which we took ourselves to donate to a local homeless shelter.
I don’t know if this is pandemic-related, but the bartenders we had were very green. We had guests teaching them how to make rum and cokes. Shots were served with ice. It was just weird.
Also, I really hope this was a true oversight, but we provided the alcohol and found that some of our top-shelf alcohol was not put out at the bars at the start of the cocktail hour. My father-in-law found it in a back room away from the other alcohol.
The venue is gorgeous and elegant. It was exactly what I wanted. The food was amazing and is still raved about by guests. The staff was great and accommodating. It rained that day and it was supposed to be outside and while they weren't happy about it they were really accommodating and we were able to move it inside hours before the ceremony. However, the venue lost my knife cake set which wasn't cheap, champagne for my girls to drink before hand just disappeared, as well as the hanger from my wedding dress. The venue came off as tough luck about it. I partially blame the wedding coordinator some of this. But it was unfortunate my girls no longer had anything to cheers to celebrate with before hand as well as I will never be able to have my knife set to use again or pass down.
Rose Hill Manor was a absolutely beautiful venue for our Wedding Reception! Nick was helpful and responsive in negotiating a reasonable price. Penny was AMAZING. She helped us pick out our linens, brought in her own table number stands for our tables and really went above and beyond what was expected of her. She even captured moments of our night which we wouldn't have documented without her. I would solely book Rose Hill to work with her. The only drawback is the place is a bit pricey and there are limitations on what you can/cannot do. However the staff was accommodating for most of our requests Overall, we had a good experience and many of our guests commented on how beautiful of a venue it was!
Huge thanks to Laura Kim and Nicolas Suarez. I can't remember the names of the rest of the staff that helped us but they were all amazing. Everyone that attended kept telling us how much fun they had, how good the food was, and how beautiful the venue was. Laura helped us stay on top of everything in the weeks leading up to the wedding and on the big day, I could not have asked for anything to have gone better. A good friend of ours payed 6,000 for a coordinator and she was not half as good as Laura and her staff.
I believe we had the gold package, if your on the fence with this place, go for it, you will not regret it.
We had our wedding at Rose Hill Manor, which in our opinion, is one of the most beautiful venues in the area.
The Good:
- flexibility of silver package ( venue provided service including bartender), linens, tableware and glassware. We had the option to bring our own food.
-The venue is beautiful and well maintained. The large columns recently repainted and refloored interior look great. It doesn’t have yellow walls and ugly carpet anymore.
-Bar was bring your own alcohol, saves a lot of money.
- Location - close to airports, nice safe place to have a wedding. A lot of parking space for guests that is out of sight from the venue entrance.
-There was flexibility to pay for extra hours
The Bad:
-Initial coordination from the venue was poor. There is a lot of chaos about who is a POC for what. Working with the owner was good until the point at which we got the contract signed. An initial meeting lead to no deliverables and false commitments related to planning. Coordination was then supposed to be handed off to owner’s wife. We’d get the okay from her on something one minute and then the next minute get denied for the same thing. We highly suggest to trust your gut and if something doesn’t seem okay to you, don’t wait until the last moment to discuss it.
-Nobody contacted us about the final walkthrough, major miscommunication about the date and time. We did not feel confident in her ability to oversee our wedding
- we finally met with other employees of the venue and this walk through finally lead to some decision making and planning deliverables. Big relief just couple of weeks before the wedding!
-The venue thought we missed a payment, there seemed to be an issue with them verifying which checks they received.
-Bartender was hiding our sign with drink list under the bar so our guests were not aware of signature drinks and variety of the alcohol. Also, we had some international guests and the list was in two languages to make it easy for them to order drinks. Also we heard that half-full drinks were taken from the tables as soon as the guests went on the dancefloor. It was frustrating and a lot of alcohol was wasted.
Comments:
The issue with planning was resolved when we complained. Once we identified employees who are helpful and professional, we were able to work out the major aspects of our wedding as well as all the details.
After the first failed planning with the owner and his wife, we met Sabrina Ransom and Nick Suarez. Sabrina and Nick really saved our wedding from disaster! Sabrina prepared a logistics plan and was very knowledgeable. Nick was present and had a lot of knowledge about the venue and was able to answer questions.
We had a walk through with Nick and ironed out some final details by chance the week of our wedding (!).
Gustavo was an excellent point of contact for access to the venue, he has since moved on to supporting a different venue for the same vendor. If you go with Gala’s other properties he’s great to work with, has a very kind demeanor with prospective customers.
Overall, we would recommend this wedding venue to others that seek flexibility from the venue with extending time, bringing your own caterers and alcohol. We highly suggest someone using this venue to carefully choose the staff you work with in getting your planning sessions done. Nonetheless we wish the venue well and we hope they continue to improve their services, thank you!
Rose Hill Manor is a gorgeous location for both a wedding and a ceremony. They have great packages that include venue, catering, and items you normally would have to rent (linens, glassware, silverware, china, tables, and chairs). You can also choose to hire your wedding coordinator through them. All of these things greatly help to ease the stress of planning a wedding. They were easy to work with, and very responsive in both email and text. The updated interior of Rose Hill Manor is beautiful, and the grounds make for gorgeous wedding photos!
Rose Hill Manor has a perfect set up for our wedding. The redid the walls and put all hard wood flooring earlier in the year which made the location look that much more elegant. The scenery was perfect and everyone was impressed by the looks and the on site staff.
We had a magical experience with Rose Hill Manor and Gala Cuisine for our wedding this past November. The folks at Rose Hill are extremely professional and know how to make life less stressful for the happy couple. From the moment we reserved Rose Hill all the way through our wedding weekend, the staff were responsive and attentive, seeing to every detail and doing their best to help us realize our vision for our wedding day. We must give a special shout-out for our astoundingly helpful coordinator Caitlin (with Iconic Events) who made sure the evening flowed smoothly and people knew where to go so that we could focus on the more fun parts of the day. Caitlin and the rest of the staff showed great flexibility and organization in managing the flow of events throughout the day, between rooms, and with indoor and outdoor moving pieces. We had hoped for an outdoor ceremony, but due to the chilly weather, we were able to make a day of decision to hold the ceremony in the small ballroom. The staff expertly flipped rooms during the cocktail hour to smoothly transition the whole space for the reception.
As far as the venue itself, Rose Hill recently remodeled with wood floors (amazing for dancing) and a new coat of paint. The facility is gorgeous. Our wedding photos turned out incredibly, both the indoor and outdoor shots. Our wedding guests have repeatedly remarked to us since the event how beautiful the venue was. We opted to go with in-house catering through Gala Cuisine for the food. I was initially hesitant about this, since I have eaten much sub-par food over the years. However, Gala Cuisine knocked it out of the park. Multiple wedding guests told me it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding reception. The staff also made sure that my bride and I ate, going so far as to follow us around with a plate of appetizers during cocktail hour and later serving us a plated dinner (the rest of the guests had a buffet).
Thanks to all the RHM staff involved who made our wedding that much extra special.
We had such an amazing experience with Rose Hill! I love to sing the praises of how wonderful they were.
From our first visit, we had a blast touring with Gustavo Valle, the head groundskeeper. He was knowledgeable, kind and fun. With me was my fiancé and soon-to-be brother-in-law. My BIL has an eye for detail and planning - he was left completely satisfied and inspired by the tour of Rose Hill.
The pricing was reasonable for the space, time allowed on the event (9 hours set up to clean up, no other events that day) and the bridal and groom suites. We even got 10% off because we are both teachers and UVa alumni!
Over the course of the year, Rose Hill updated their paint scheme (to a beautiful cream/tan from a bright yellow) and installed hardwood floors to replace sections of carpeting. We were thrilled to see these updates before our wedding, which matched our color scheme and decoration ideas even better.
Gustavo was a wonderful contact throughout the wedding process and for dropping off supplies the day before. He gave me his cell phone number and I could text him when I was going over to drop off things or to take one last tour with a bridesmaid or mother. He is fantastic!
This place is lovely. The owners took a lot of the headache out of the process for us. The path in is small and gives a hidden garden aesthetic. The grounds are lovely and have plenty of parking for your event. The new wood floors look amazing and get rid of that concern for a pieced together dancefloor.
Gustavo was fantastic! Very helpful leading up and on the day of the event. Would call at milestone dates to ensure things were going smoothly.
The main concern was the management changed the main paint color of the hall one week before our wedding and did not consult or notify us. We found out because a guest saw it on their facebook. They had previously notified us regarding changing from carpet to wood flooring, so we were confused and distressed.
Ultimately, it was very lucky the color scheme worked, or we would have been livid.

Every good wedding has to have a solid foundation. If the foundation is good, everything else will fall into place. I am so glad we chose Rose Hill Manor to be our venue of choice this past March because Antonio and Gustavo are absolutely lovely to work with! From our very first meeting, I could tell that it was going to be a very good experience. I appreciated how forthcoming they were about their professional opinions regarding what works and what doesn't. Their combined years of experience clearly shows, and they know Rose Hill inside and out. Throughout the process, they kept us informed of changes and renovations they were making to the venue--which by and large didn't impact us very much, but I liked that we never got any "unpleasant surprises". Our guests still comment to this day how beautiful our venue was, and how smoothly everything flowed.
If you visit them, you may feel a bit put-off by their recommended vendors table. However, I HIGHLY suggest using those vendors, because they know the venue inside and out, and you'll have the peace of mind that that vendor knows what they're doing. Whether RHM gets kickbacks from those vendors is largely irrelevant. This is your big day--the relationship the vendors have with RHM make coordination and planning so much easier, so that you don't have to worry about a thing.
The other nice thing I'll point out is that RHM is already pretty tastefully decorated, so you don't have to spend a ton on decorations. If you can, I highly recommend wrapping tulle and Christmas/twinkle lights around the balcony railing overlooking the grand ballroom. We did, and it made the reception hall look like something out of a fairy tale!
Wonderfully beautiful venue to have a wedding. Antonio and Gustavo treated my as if I were family and made sure everything was perfect for the day of. I came to them last minute and it was still completed and put together in just enough time for the day. Loved them!
From the moment I walked into Rose Hill Manor of my initial tour of the venue until the moment we were cleaning up at the end of the reception, the staff at Rose Hill Manor showed themselves to be top of the class at what they do. Gustavo was extremely responsive to all calls, questions, and requests for tours of the facilities; since both sets of parents lived outside of Virginia, we had to accommodate multiple extra tours and visits. They were extremely flexible in allowing us to show up early for extra pictures, and helping us ensure that we were still on schedule. My parents also noted that they were very helpful with helping organize the other vendors and guide us through breaking down the decorations. Ultimately, they helped make my day extra special and ensured everything ran smoothly!
Beautiful location, very kind and patience staff. I would totally recommend this location for any wedding.
