We worked specifically with Nate to set up transportation to and from the venue. He communicated effectively, adapted to changes, and worked with a minor hickup in our wedding day plans (some bad traffic). Our guests got to and from the venue safely- we're satisfied!

We got married 8/12/16 and provided transportation for our guest from Waikiki to Kaploei. They were on time and provided great service.

Initially, Royal Star was professional and great to work with, I put trust in their business practices initially due to this, and then things took a different turn. I made our payment several months out to reserve our transportation buses, (I was anticipating just our deposit to be charged, but the credit card was charged in full - I didn't complain as I felt they were a reputable company). We had a legitimate contract as well that stated that we would be able to make changes up to 30 days out and be refunded the difference if the changes incur a lesser expense. They were aware of this possibility when we signed as our guest counts were not final. When I went to make the changes - they said they would gladly change the transportation but would not be refunding any money. When I pointed out they were going against their contract, I got the response that it is due to the funds being "NON REFUNDABLE" (and yes it was sent in all caps) - note that this is also NOT on the contract. This ended up going to their sales manager, and then for some reason had to go on to their VP to be confirmed that I was in the right. Eventually they said they would now hold the overage as a deposit until after the trip had ended. I was too busy for more back and forth, so I went with it. Wedding day - our driver there took a knowingly longer route over to our venue (causing our ceremony to start late), and then coming home it was POURING rain. The bus was leaking and dumped water on our guests up front. And finally, two guests on board requested to be dropped off at a different location after the group got off, which was agreed to by the driver without our knowledge), and we were charged for the overage. I brought all of this up to them after the fact giving them the opportunity to make it right and waive at least partial overcharges, and they declined but apologized for the unfortunate events. I know that this company is one of the more affordable transportation services, but make sure to read through and be on top of everything as things were a little screwy in our experience.

Booking with Royal Star is absolutely wonderful: they are professional, courteous, and on time and their coaches are very comfortable and modern. Further, they are very well priced: you are absolutely getting everything you pay for. I thought moving 60 people around Hawaii was going to be a big burden and a circus to plan but Royal Star made it as simple as can be! Work with them to make your plans much MUCH easier.

I recently got married on 8/7/16 at Kualoa Ranch. Since it was a destination wedding, we decided to charter a bus for our wedding guests from Waikiki to our wedding venue and back. From Waikiki to Kualoa Ranch was 45 minutes away and most of our guests were staying in Waikiki. Royal Star Hawaii was recommended to me by my wedding coordinator and I'm happy I decided to hire them. The bus arrived in a reasonable time giving my guests ample time to arrive and get situated. The bus seats were very comfortable. I love the purple and yellow colors in the bus gives it a vibrant look. We actually received an upgraded bus. I initially ordered a 55-seater Silver bus but instead got their Signature line 58-seater Gold bus with onboard restroom. They also provided a complimentary digital signage outside the bus 'Mia and Michael Wedding'. Now, that's awesome! I HIGHLY recommend Royal Star Hawaii for your bus transportation needs. Their pricing was reasonable too. Mahalo!

Royal Star was so much lower in pricing than other recommended limo/chauffeur services, we thought there might be a catch. But they were GREAT. On time, super nice, bus and cars in great condition. We had a major delay due to rain and our driver patiently waited for an hour with us. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

I can't say enough great things about this company. Not only were my many questions always answered, but my numerous changes in plans and requests were never denied. Ben was always available when I needed an answer, and if he wasn't available someone always responded. They were prompt and gave us everything we requested. I was someone who researched everything I could find and this company outshines them all. Price and service won me over. Not to mention I was constantly seeing their vehicles everywhere we travelled while on the island. They are clearly in demand and confirms my choice in asking them to he is out on our big day. We used Royal Star Hawaii on our wedding day for three things: -Transport the wedding party to the venue -Transport the guests to the venue -Return the wedding party and guests Each step of the way there were small issues. On the way to the wedding they had an incorrect number of guests recorded. While shuttling the group they were unable to find guests (who were waiting at their exact pickup spots). On the return they completely missed a stop and had to backtrack ~30 minutes. I consider myself a pretty low key bride overall so none of these issues were major or messed my day up, however I would suggest checking and double checking and confirming information with them as it seems that mistakes are not uncommon. I would maybe use them again but given the cost I just don't think there should be this many mistakes.

We chose Royal Star to provide a shuttle van for myself and my bridal party, as well as a larger tour bus for around 40 or so guests. The choice to go with the shuttle van was strictly utilitarian – mostly because it was cheaper than a limo but also because I honestly didn’t care about having a grand entrance in a limo. Just wanted to arrive on time and intact. We used the shuttle van to the ceremony only. We did round trip for the shuttle with pick up and drop off for guests from Waikiki to our venue on the Windward side. Coming back we did a secondary drop off at a bar/lounge for anyone looking to stay out a little longer. Overall we were pleased with the experience. Both vehicles were clean and comfortable. The driver of our bridal party tour van was professional and punctual. The driver of our tour bus coming back from wedding/reception had a festive crowd on his hands and he was pleasant and accommodating – letting us use the PA system to give out further information to guests, etc. Billing was straightforward and all of our questions (handled through our planner) were answered promptly.

Our wedding was a destination wedding and all our guests were flying in from other cities. We hired Royal Star Hawaii for our guests shuttle bus service from Waikiki to our wedding venue, and the return trip. We had arranged and contracted for a mini-bus that would seat 25 people. Our guest count was 30, so we arranged to have a few of our guest take a cab to the venue. Upon hearing of this, Royal Star Hawaii considerately gave us a free upgrade to a motorcoach to accommodate all our guests. Royal Star Hawaii helped us set up central hotel pickup locations for our guests. They even had our names (bride & groom) on the LED ticker information at the top of the bus to help identify it to our guests. The shuttle bus was on time and left Waikiki on time. Unfortunately, a couple of our guests were left behind due to miscommunication but the bus driver happily returned to Waikiki and picked up our final two guests without hassle. Royal Star Hawaii provided great service and was a great convenience to our partying guests. We would recommend them as a shuttle bus service to saved guests on renting cars, flagging cabs and identifying a designated driver.

This company was by far the best to work with before our event. They were responsive and very competitive in price. We got a 63 passenger bus and their executive limo. The disappointment came day of. The large bus didn't have a restroom. The trip because of traffic took 1.5 hours LONGER than anticipated and we had to start our wedding 1.5 hours late. I think since this is their business, they should have let us know this beforehand. Then on the way out, the driver got stuck and our trip that should've been much shorted took a very long time. All in all it was fine.

We rented the 63 seat bus to bus our guest from one place to the other. We were told by our guest that they were punctual, created a fun environment, and the facility/ transportation was very nice accommodations.

We used Royal Star for the transportation of our guests. Very accommodating as we made several changes to the pick-up locations. On time. Our guests were satisfied.

We hired a charter bus to take our out of town guests from the resort in downtown Waikiki to the ceremony and reception venue some fifteen miles away. It was so convenient and less stressful to not have to worry about out-of-towners not knowing how to navigate the Hawaii tourist traffic. The bus was top of the line; arrived at the hotel promptly; took the scenic route to the wedding venue; and was just as prompt taking the guests back to the resort at the end of the night. Worth every penny; which weren't that many at all!

We hired this company to take us from the Waikiki hotel area to our wedding ceremony/reception in Kaneohe. Because we lived out of state, all communication was done through email. Ben was always fast to respond and very professional. The company was even able to accommodate last minute changes we had in our hotel information. All of our guests felt comfortable and taken care of! I highly recommend this transportation company!

We used Royal Star to provide a charter bus to and from our ceremony site. They were easy to work with during the planning stages. On the day of the wedding, they were on-time, helpful, and extremely polite.

We charted the largest passenger bus available - 55 seater to be transported from Kailua to Ka'a'awa (Kualoa Ranch) on the windward side of Oahu. We booked this in March 2012, before Kailua passed new legislation outlawing commercial vehicles from Kailua Beach Park proper EXCEPT for at public bus stops. Upon confirmation with Royal Star the week of our wedding, we were advised that this new legislation was a major concern and that we should be fully in the know about what had been happening to other charter buses in the same area. Local residents had been badgering the drivers and charter guests in the Kailua Beach Park area for just being in the vicinity and while following legislation rules and stopping only at the bus stops. Our service advisor was concerned about the effect of such a possible encounter on our guests. He discussed what options we had to possibly prevent that encounter. In the end we moved our original pick up to a different (and still close by) bus stop AND they were flexible with the drop offs, allowing two different, close by drop off locations. It was hard to make all these decision at what felt like the last minute but they were patient and flexible with the process. The bus ride back from the reception was fun too. They allowed the reception party to continue on the road!

Transport companies have one job: get people from point A to point B. Everything leading up to the wedding day was fine; emails were responded to in a timely manner, revisions to transport route were made with ease. On the day of the wedding, the transport to the wedding venue went off without a hitch. The guests got to the venue on time. However, the transport from the venue to the after party in Honolulu was a completely different story. The driver had no idea where he was going. You would think they would have done their homework and figured out where they were to drop people off prior to the day of the wedding. They did not. It should have taken no more than 30 minutes to get from our wedding venue to the after party. The driver was COMPLETELY lost and was going to drop off our guests in a dodgy neighbourhoood which did not resemble a night club whatsoever. Luckily, one of wedding guests took it upon himself to guide THE DRIVER to the right location. ONE AND A HALF hour later, they were finally dropped off. At this point, everyone was grumpy and tired and ready to go home. This transport company ruined an otherwise perfect evening.

The motor coach was clean, air conditioned, and arrived on time. A couple of our guests were actually late and the driver still managed to get the guests to the wedding on time. Would hire them again!

Royal Star was SO EASY to work with. We ironed down our contract in a day! Our guests said the minibus was wonderful and roomy and a great way to arrive in style. We even got a wonderful personal thank you note from them after the event. We should have sent them a thank you note, they were perfect and I'd definitely recommend them and use them again!!

I had 50 people attending my destination wedding. We were staying on Waikiki Beach and the Ceremony was up by Kanehoe Bay. I am so glad I decided to book a bus to bring my guests to the wedding location. It could have been disastrous without it! Thank you a million times over

They are affordable, reliable, always on time and their buses are very clean! what more could I ask for!!!!!

Our wedding location was 40 miles outside of Waikiki so we hired Royal Star Hawaii to transport all of our guest to the wedding location and back. We shopped around and found that Royal Star was very competitive in their prices and they offer an "on-time" guarantee. There is one other company on the island that was a little less expensive, however getting a call back from them was like pulling teeth. Royal Star, and Nate were extremely attentive and helpful. They were very punctual and delivered and returned our guests comfortably and safely. Highly recommend!

We used Royal Star to transport our guests between venues by bus, and also to transport the bridal party by limo. Their services are very professional, particularly the bus transportation. My only criticm would be that they don't have a large selection of town cars or limos. But the drivers were very punctional and friendly.

We used Royal Star's 35 passenger bus to get our guest staying in Waikiki to our wedding venue. They were ontime, easy to schedule and willing to stop at multiple hotels for the same price.

We used Royal Star for our private bus tour the day before the wedding - a group of 32 English and Japanese speakers from 5 different countries!! We were able to get a bilingual driver/guide, Jeff, who was really really awesome. He was able to tell us lots of interesting stories and information during the drive, in both languages, and was very flexible with our schedule and destinations.

We rented a bus that had air condition music comfortable seats bathroom and much more. We loved every part of it and our wedding party did also. While we were taking pictures...they were able to sit in the air condition bus and rest.
