We used Round Midnight and couldn't have been happier. Sam Hill was easy to work with. The band's manager met with us ahead of time to go over all the details. The band was so amazing! The dance stayed packed all night, and we got compliments on the band from almost every single guest. We loved them!

We absolutely loved everything about the block party experience! They were all very professional and were easy to communicate with in regards to our wants. Everyone at our wedding loved the band and was on the dance floor the whole night! I cannot recommend them enough. They even let our friends get on stage and play a song with them and everyone was having such a great experience.

Our experience with Sam Hill Entertainment couldn't have been better. They were prompt, answered all questions, made great suggestions and were generally easy to work with. We ultimately decided to hire "The District" for our daughter's wedding. They were absolutely FANTASTIC! Our guests danced the night away. The band members had great energy and one song flowed into the next. We had many comments from guests how awesome the band was. Thanks for a great evening!

BOOK THE DICKENS! Best Decision we made! We had The Dickens perform at our wedding in Lake Placid NY. They were the party. They catered the music to our interests and customized a huge mash of the hits we love. At the end of the night all of our guests were screaming encore. All of our guests said it was the best music they have heard at a wedding. Best decision we made.

Book the New Royals if you don't want your guests to leave the dance floor. My husband and I got married last month and wanted a band that could bring the energy. The New Royals exceeded every expectation we had. The energy, the talent, the set list, it was all incredible. They really listened to what we discussed when we had our pre-wedding planning call and they made a special day all that more unforgettable. Our friends and family haven't stopped talking about how fun our wedding was, and we couldn't agree more. Sam Hill Entertainment was wonderful to work with and made the process incredibly seamless. I couldn't recommend them, or the New Royals more!

The thing we heard most the morning after our wedding was, "That was the best band I've ever seen." Seriously, they're incredible. Our guests were blown away. They do it all -- new hits, classic oldies, even a '90s medley that had everyone on the dance floor. They were so easy to work with and even learned our first dance song, which they killed. We loved Young Hearts!

I wish that I could say I had a better experience with Sam Hill. I booked Jackass Flats for my wedding, as I had heard good things about the band from my wedding planner and we absolutely loved the sound of their music on the website. The planning process was generally smooth; Mike Miglino was extremely responsive and great to work with. However, a week before the wedding we received an email from the band leader stating that he had to attend to a family emergency and would not be present at the wedding. This was totally understandable--things happen--but unfortunately, the band leader was a major part of the band's sound and energy. We were assured that we would still have a fantastic band with a replacement player, and with a week left until the wedding, we had to trust that it would still be just as good. In the end, we were very disappointed. Imagine my sadness when, during my first dance with my father, he leans over and says to me, "This singer is terrible!" Imagine my disappointment when, after paying $5000 for a band, all the guests clear out when they start playing. Our dancing area was separate from the rest of the venue, and as soon as the band's break started and our party playlist came on, our guests piled into the room and started having a great time. The moment that the break ended and the band returned, everyone left!! We were told by some that this was because the band was too loud, despite the wedding planner having asked them to turn down the music, but I honestly felt like we really needed the band leader there to boost the energy as the main singer. In the end, the band didn't sound like it had in the recordings. I had had all the planning conversations with the band leader, and I guess that there hadn't been good communication with the rest of the band, because there were several technical mishaps that made the day more stressful. First, the bandleader had specifically told me that I could send him my own playlist for dinner and band breaks. They did not use my playlist at first, and I had to locate the band and ask them to change the music. In addition, they were sound-checking during my 20-minute ceremony, which was distracting and affected the ceremony atmosphere. They had a copy of the schedule and should have realized that the ceremony was going on at this point. In the end, we do not feel that we got what we paid for, and I suppose that is the risk of hiring a live band...there is always the chance that a key member will not be able to come. But if you paid money to go to a Taylor Swift concert, and she had an emergency and couldn’t perform, would you feel comfortable paying the same amount of money for a replacement?

We booked the band Revel Arcade through Sam Hill and they were UNREAL. Having been to over 50 weddings, we had a high bar! All of our guests left singing their praises - they were truly amazing! Great energy and kept the party going all night!

Sam Hill entertainment and the band, The Dickens, were the best addition to our wedding. They were very responsive and easy to work with, and the band even learned a rendition of our first dance song that we choreographed a dance to and it went seamlessly. Our guests were on the dance floor the entire reception and are still complimenting our band to us today!

We worked with Sam Hill Entertainment and the Radio City Band for our Oct 2024 wedding. We cannot recommend them more highly. They make the process easy with their online portal for song selection and communication platform. The band absolutely knocked it out of the park. If you want a band that can play a wide variety of music and get everyone out on the dance floor, Radio City is the one!

We had the greatest experience working with The Jangling Reinharts. They were the highlight of our event and our guests all loved them! The band did an amazing job of putting together a set list of our favorite songs, including learning a new song outside of their usual genre. I truly hope we find a reason to hire them again.

Sam Hill was amazing to work with. We hired The Finns for our wedding and everyone loved them. The dance floor was full for the entire wedding. The company and band were both very communicative throughout the planning process. In addition, we had a few family members sing and the band was very accommodating and flexible with helping them get set up and borrow some equipment. Couldn't recommend them enough.

From the first interaction we had with Sam Hill, we knew our wedding band would be the highlight of our wedding night. We hired The Finn’s for our reception and Bridge Brothers for cocktail hour. They were ABSOLUTELY amazing. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about The Finn’s and the energy they brought to our dance floor. It actually felt like a concert. It even started raining at one point and not a single person left the dance floor - that’s the kind of vibe we were looking for and they brought it!!! Their musicianship is fantastic and they curated a set list that matched our taste! Book them!! You will not be disappointed!!

We chose ‘Round Midnight for our wedding in Saint Michael’s late September 2024. We knew we wanted a band that could play a ton of soul and Motown Classics, and they did not disappoint! When they also played some pop and rock songs, they knocked those out of the park, but we were grateful that they accommodated our requests for mostly classic soul songs to get people dancing as our crowd is all musicians or music lovers. We had been considering a few other smaller wedding bands, and as musicians ourselves, we were looking for the right band with the right sound set up to entertain us, but also Accommodate a sit if our band decided we wanted to play a few songs. Their Musical Director, Mike, was attentive and communicative from the start, both in preparing us with our sound options for our sit in, as well as the even bigger favor of having their horn section learn some of our music. The whole band was excellent and very entertaining, led by Joe as their lead male singer and MC, and he kept track of each detail, including a last minute birthday shoutout request and more. I can’t thank Mike enough for how responsive he was as we chatted through our ideas basically up until 48 hours ahead of the event. Round Midnight did their homework, had our guests totally satisfied, graciously shared the stage with us for a few songs (including needing 3 extra mics for our singers and guest singer), and played each song WHEN we wanted them played. I wanted to be somewhat hands-off since we spend a lot of our time planning Setlists, But Mike was accommodating and so helpful whenever I did want to chime in. Shoutout to Jim, their sound guy for the evening, too, Since he had to arrange our sit in and adjust volume levels for our instruments without a sound check. Did I mention we did not get to rehearse with the horns? And they still came in and absolutely crushed it. For any wedding band you hire, I would make the extra effort to confirm each detail on a phone call, to make sure you get exactly what you want. For example, confirm if you want any songs to be played as recordings, or if you exclusively want the band to perform them live, if you’re selecting any particularly deep cuts.

Working with Katie at Sam Hill could not have gone better. From the beginning, she listened to what we were looking for in a wedding band, provided various options, and answered all of our questions. She made the logistics process incredibly easy. For the band choice, we cannot recommend Affirmative Groove enough. We loved how Marrell worked with us beforehand to ensure they played a mix of music that reflected our tastes and catered to our guests. Their live performances were full of energy and truly made the evening come alive. So many of our guests commented on how fantastic the band was, and we couldn’t agree more! We highly recommend Affirmative Groove (and Sam Hill) to anyone looking for a fun, talented, and professional band to rock their big day!

I want to let you know how amazing the company was in helping us select Blue Tips Rhythm Revue! My mom used the band 15 years before my wedding since and everyone can honestly say they were just as good on our wedding night as they have been on the three other occasions! And no one has changed a bit. Elliot is amazing and his energy can’t be duplicated. Ben was really easy to work with and he incorporated all of my requests. We had the BEST time at our wedding in Hilton Head, and The Block Party Experience was a HUGE part of that!! We absolutely LOVED them and their performance!! The energy was high, the set list was perfect, and the choreography was amazing! We had a blast and so did our guests - we received so many compliments about the band and how awesome they were, I truly can't speak more highly of them, and would recommend them to anyone! Even before the wedding weekend, we knew it was going to be a great performance after chatting with the band managers. They have a huge list of excellent bands to choose from, and we were fortunate enough to select 'Round Midnight for our big day! The band was AMAZING and got everyone on the dance floor. The website made it easy to see videos of the band, hear samples of their music, and once we selected 'Round Midnight it was so easy to select must-play (and must-not-play) songs, set up a quick call with our bandleader, and make our payments. Our band was incredible and truly was the highlight of our wedding day - everyone remarked that they wished they had opted for live music for their own receptions, given how much it added to the overall energy and enjoyment of the reception. We loved Sam Hill and 'Round Midnight and cannot recommend them both enough!

Attraction was absolutely FABULOUS! From the initial planning stages to the final execution, they exceeded our expectations in every way. Before our wedding weekend, my husband and I had several conversations and email exchanges with Dave Barton. He truly listened to our feedback and understood the vibe and music we wanted for our reception. I know he also worked closely with our wedding planning team to ensure that all the sound needs of our venue were met. During the wedding, the band absolutely killed it and the dance floor was always full. Our guests were floored by the musicianship; every musician and singer was outstanding. Multiple guests mentioned that they felt like they were at a live concert, which speaks volumes about the band's talent and energy. For the last hour of the wedding, Dave DJ'ed from a playlist we provided. He did an incredible job mixing the music, keeping the energy high right up until the end of the night. It was the perfect finish to an unforgettable evening. I would 100% work with Attraction again and wholeheartedly recommend them for any event. Their professionalism, talent, and ability to engage the crowd made our wedding truly special.

I literally have zero words to fully express how amazing The New Royals were. I can go on about how easy it was to work with them prior to the wedding (communicative, sent reminders, professional, etc) but the true review is in their PERFORMANCE. They 10000000% brought the house down. Their voices and stage presence was amazing, they read the room/vibe of our guests and kept the music aligned with where the night was going. I have had almost every single guest say they were hands down the best band they have ever seen at a wedding. I've had people following up for their information just to simply SHOW their friends how amazing they are (while not even planning an event, just wanting to brag that they got to see them). If you're looking for a band that is going to bring the energy, talent, experience, and make your dance floor unforgettable -- The New Royals are the band for you!

Ohhhhh...let me tell you..."Young Hearts" were fantastic at my daughter's wedding. You wouldn't believe how many compliments we received and how much fun everyone had. The band's gifts and talents were on full display that night. The planning process was easy too...their communication & professionalism were top-notch. We worked with Sam Hill Entertainment to book the Significant Others for my June 2024 wedding. They were excellent at communicating in a timely manner and super helpful in getting everything we needed for the big day. Highly recommend!

The Dickens Band played the wrong processional & recessional songs (despite giving them the exact links to the songs multiple times) so that was disappointing. They were fun on the dance floor and kept the energy high.

WOW - booking Free Spirit (managed by Sam Hill Entertainment) was the best decision we made for our wedding day, besides getting married :). Their talent was unparalleled, and we had countless guests comment that this was the best wedding band that they had ever seen and and asking "who is this band and how did you find them?!" One friend even asked if we thought that they would fly out to Spain for her upcoming wedding! Their set list was a mix of great oldies (still smiling when we watch back videos of their cover of "Best of My Love" with all of our guests on the dance floor - truly phenomenal) and 2000s/pop songs. People literally didn't budge off of the dance floor for 3 hours. All this, and their pricing was incredibly reasonable, especially for bringing all of the vocalists, horn players, etc. that they did. We cannot recommend Free Spirit highly enough; you will NOT be disappointed.

We used The Significant Others through Sam Hill Entertainment and we were blown away. They played all our requested favorites already in their set list and learned an additional song for us. They sounded absolutely amazing and we received so many compliments on the band the whole evening. Their event profile to be filled out ahead of time was super user friendly and they were very easy to work with. They pick a lot of their set list so it’s hands off and stress free and they were right in knowing exactly which songs to choose and put in the right moments. Everyone of all ages was on the dance floor and made for an amazing night

Holy moly, The New Royals were amazing! They made our dreams come true. From getting everyone to dance to keeping the energy alive, There was not one bad moment! The amount of people that had and still are complimenting them is pretty outstanding. They are one of a kind and we can't thank them enough! Thank you, thank you, thank you! We are still overjoyed with how everything went, only wish we could still be celebrating!

Sam Hill Entertainment is a wonderful vendor and represents many bands and the one we chose for our daughter's wedding was Affirmative Groove. We attended another wedding 2 years prior and had been completely thrilled with the job they did at the other wedding that we immediately knew this was the band for us. We are so appreciative of Affirmative Groove and the fantastic job they did entertaining all of us. We are still receiving so many compliments and remarks on how much everyone loved the band and we could not agree more. The music was a great variety and something for everyone. Affirmative Groove is composed of so many talented musicians and singers and with the array of all the instruments represented, they provided a great time for all. Having a great band makes all the difference in the world on retaining guests for the reception. Many people leave early due to lack of entertainment. So many weddings only offer a DJ for entertainment so Affirmative Groove took everyone by surprise and changed the way most of our guests had ever envisioned a wedding reception to be. We are super grateful for Affirmative Groove and the professionalism and how organized they are through the whole process of booking. It was a very smooth and enjoyable process without one single kink and they were indeed the life of the party!!! Very interactive with the guests and so much fun.

We worked with Sam Hill to hire The District for our wedding. Hands down, choosing them was best choice we made throughout the whole planning process. When we met with the band, they told us "you're hiring us to throw you a party." Let me tell you, they absolutely delivered on that promise. At one point we looked across the dance floor and realized there wasn't even room to move because it was so packed. It stayed that way the entire night. Many of our friends and family are still reaching out to tell us that The District was one of the best wedding bands they've ever heard. If you're looking for a premium wedding band that will unapologetically throw you a PARTY, The District is for you.

We hired Revel Radio for our wedding, and they were awesome, both leading up to the event and (most importantly) when they were playing! They really made our reception special, and we have received several comments from folks talking about how great they were and how much fun they had dancing.

We hired the Radio Sparks for our outdoor wedding. Cameron was great and very responsive leading up to the wedding and answered all of our questions thoroughly. Setup went seamlessly before our ceremony and then they were great emcees for the introductions and toast portions of the night. They were able to do a great guitar rendition of Your Song by Elton John for our first dance and then kept the energy going on the dance floor all night. I would highly recommend them for your wedding or event. The guests all loved them too.
