Saturn Birmingham

My husband and I looked all over Birmingham for a venue that's unique, fun, flexible, beautiful, and cost-effective, and we finally found all of these qualities in Saturn. Regarding aesthetics, the venue has a mid-century feel in decor and architecture. It immediately grabs your attention as you walk by. The inside has a bar/coffee shop area (which worked perfectly as a cocktail hour as the venue was being flipped for the reception), a spacious venue with excellent quality in lighting and sound (along with beautifully quirky decor), and a loft upstairs, which served as our area to get ready and just relax before the ceremony and while the room was being flipped. In addition to the loft, there is a large, colorful upstairs patio that provides a great view of Avondale. The loft has a pool table, bar area, full kitchen, and a lot of space for folks to hang out. There is also a costume corner and vintage video games (downstairs) to keep everyone entertained (especially the little ones). We are still getting compliments on how our wedding was the most fun wedding people had attended. There is a vintage photo booth downstairs you can rent, which we used as guest favors, and everyone loved it. Also, as far as photography goes, every corner of this venue would make a lovely photo. Regarding service, Tony worked closely with me and my friend, whom volunteered to coordinate for the day) to ensure everything went perfect. He was very professional and thorough. He's also just a really nice and chill person, which you especially need on your wedding day. :) Our package included sound and lighting (the best quality) by a really experienced sound technician as well. They also provide a projector to show a slideshow, project a neat image on all night...whatever you want. Everything on our checklist for an amazing wedding was checked off at this place. It's a beautiful and creative place that provides top quality services at a pretty darn good price.
