Shadows On The Hudson

I LOVE Shadows. It has been one of my favorite restaurants since I was a student at Marist. It's a huge part of why we chose The Grandview as our reception venue! The food and service is always amazing, not to mention to views. We had a large group of 30 that was easily accommodated WITH RIVER VIEWS! They also tailored our linens to match the wedding colors and made a delicious cake for dessert! Our wedding party and close family had a blast at our rehearsal dinner. We also returned the next night for our after party for some more fun with a live band!

The service and the food were amazing! There is no doubt that the atmosphere is beautiful!!! I was just a little upset because we were pushed out a certain time to make way for graduations coming through.

My bachelorette party was thrown here and it was a blast! The food was great and my party was in its own room so we had some privacy! afterwards the dancing was good.. I wished they played a little more variety of music but overall it was great!!

Shadows on the hudson was a beautiful place and perfect for our rehearsal dinner- food was great, drinks were great and it was a good deal. My only complaint was them rushing us out of the place- but I suppose I understand because they had another rehearsal dinner coming in- Just didnt like the way they did it (by literally clearing the tables/table cloths with us still sitting there- they could have at least asked us politely and told us another party was coming in). But it was still a great place!

My rehearsal dinner was scheduled on october 29th, during that freak snowstorm. I had 22 ppl in my party and they stayed open just for us. It was one less thing to worry about knowing we still had somewhere to go for dinner, knowing dutchess county was in a state of emergency. Everyone there was very friendly and the food was delicious!

beautiful view, fun environment. it was so nice to walk on the waterfront after dinner and take some group pictures. They had a guitarist playing live music that was a bit too loud

We had our rehearsal luncheon at Shadows. The food was delicious. The service was top notch. And the view was spectacular! They are also very flexible with the menu. It was the perfect place!

We had such a nice rehearsal dinner here! The food was great and the views stunning. It was a Saturday night so the place was packed and it was very noisy, so we didn't really have an opportunity to give speeches- which was fine by my husband! Good service, great food, amazing location!

My wonderful Matron of Honor picked Shadows with my mothers and did a fantastic job for by bridal shower. The only thing I didn't like was that she got locked into a contract for about 20 people and there were a lot of people who didn't respond to her invitation at all and she was stuck paying for about 5 or 8 heads who were not there. A contract is a contract but paying that much extra and the food was just okay in my opinion, was a little disappointing from such a new and eager to please venue. The views are beautiful, the facility was clean, the staff was pleasant but the food wasn’t fantastic. They could have made the experience more memorable.
