Please do not hesitate to book this gorgeous venue if it is available! Choosing a venue is one of the most important- and therefor stressful decisions in the wedding planning process, and I promise Shady Lane Farm will not disappoint. One of the draws for me was the size of the barn- you can easily accommodate up to 150 guests with plenty of room for a dance floor, buffet and bar. The grounds are simply breathtaking and it will translate in your photos. Gina is incredibly accommodating and great with communicating - which is so important in the weeks leading up to your big day. Shady Lane was honestly the perfect place for my dream wedding and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone!!
If you are even remotely thinking about booking Shady Lane, do it. The grounds are gorgeous, the barn is stunning and easily fit our 125 person wedding with tons of room for dancing, the on suite apartment is so cute and my girls and I had the best time getting ready there the morning of the wedding, and Gina, the owner, is so helpful and accommodating. She always answered questions quickly and was there to accept all deliveries before we arrived. You get Friday through Sunday on the property which is so so helpful for those who are DIY brides. I was beyond happy with Shady Lane and would happily recommend it to any and everyone.
First off, anyone who visits can see that the SLF grounds and barn are gorgeous! In addition, we loved working with the owner Gina through the year before our wedding. She was very accommodating after booking with letting us stop by and poke around, talk through rehearsal dinner options and vendors, etc. And that continued the day after the wedding, with helping us get things cleaned up when we were off to our vacation and had more on our plate than we realized. Also, she clearly takes pride in keeping the flowers blooming & her grass green! It will show in your photos :)
Shady Lane Farm was the perfect setting for our wedding. The owner, Gina, was so wonderful to work and takes pride in her property and the barn. The outdoor ceremony space with the arbor was just breathtaking and the windows on the side of the barn brought in a ton of light. I highly recommend this venue!
Shady Lane Farm is a gorgeous property. It's a perfect place for a low-key wedding due to the natural beauty of the land and the rustic simplicity of the barn and the ceremony area. It's a venue-only rental, so you have to do a bit more work to bring in your caterers, rentals, etc but check out the photos on the website- the end result can be breathtaking! The owners are so nice and easy to work with.
Such an amazingly beautiful place. The apartment where we got ready was simple and pretty, there are several outdoor spaces to use, and the barn is large, clean, and tastefully decorated with rustic chandeliers and lights. I also loved that it is very private and far from any main road. One downside is that it is far from accommodations, but we rented a school bus to help our guests get to/from the venue and Freeport where they all stayed.
