This venue is absolutely spectacular! We had our wedding in the dome and the view cannot be beat, especially at night. Everyone we worked with was incredibly professional, kind, and helpful. Because of the length of our engagement period, we ended up working with four different venue coordinators, but they were all great to work with. All of the food was amazing as well. I got so many compliments on the venue that night that I lost count. The people at this venue really made our day special and I can't thank them enough. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Professionalism and communication are practically non existent.
My fiancé and I fell in love with this appearance of this venue and wanted to get some information before booking a tour.
After 3 weeks of trying to get a hold of someone from this company a woman by the name of Sue contacted me back. Long story short the “wedding coordinator” was on vacation and they were going through a transition process with being bought out. She was extremely apologetic and sent some information on pricing right away.
The rental of the venue was not horrible by any means but it’s the over the top food and beverage minimums that shocked me. Their base price for minimums was $12,000.00. Which was very steep in comparison to most. Also not to mention the $20.00 parking free per guest vehicle.
Putting all this aside we decided that if the venue was as beautiful as it looked in the pictures it might be worth it so we set up a tour to meet with Shea (“the wedding coordinator “) when she was back from vacation. At this time Shea still had not reached out. We had a meeting scheduled for 10am on a Saturday. We traveled 45 minutes to the venue that day and when we got there notified the front desk of our arrival and she was going to let Shea know. We sat in the lobby for 25 minutes before reaching back out to the front desk. I then decided to check my email while sitting there. There I found an email from Shea time stamped 9:46am if there was a possibility to reschedule to 11:00am. I stated unfortunately we have already been sitting here waiting. I gave a call to Sue who gave me her personal number and she stated that she is off site but Shea was on site in her room and had a migraine but she would need to cancel. She asked me if we could reschedule, with the drive I asked if there was a possibility to be shown the space by a security guard since we were there and I could reach out with any questions. We were able to do so but after that encounter. Shea sent one email after we toured apologizing but nothing else was said after. Sue followed up with us on Monday but it honestly led to more confusion of who we were actually going to be working with or who would actually be in contact with and coordinating.
For all future brides I would steer far away from this venue. If you are looking for a venue who takes pride in communication as well as making your wedding an enjoyable experience, this simply isn’t it.
Any questions?

Absolute clown show. We reached out to the Millennium in December about booking them for our wedding over a year and half later. They said the date was available, so we set up a tour. We drove a total of three hours to come tour the venue and decided we would love to book them, so asked them to get a quote going for us. They said they would have one to me within a week.
A week goes by and I receive nothing, so I reach out and don't hear back again. Thus begins a chain of awful communication between us and the Millennium. After finally getting ahold of our contact, she informs us that since we're only attempting to book for our ceremony and not have our reception there we would have to meet their 10k food and drink minimum. That's a bit ridiculous but we weighed our options and decided to go for it. I wrote back and told her we would cover the 10k, and asked to please send a contract so we could get the date locked in. Once again we didn't hear back.
After finally getting ahold of them again now at the end of March I've been informed that we are not able to book the venue for our date because they sold it to someone else who was willing to pay more. Had they told me this would have been an issue back when I first contacted them I would have said fine, but they strung us along for FOUR MONTHS and now we're going back to square one on our venue search.
Absolutely ridiculous.

What an incredible venue! Great, friendly staff and a fun environment, plus wonderful views! Despite poor communication from original management, our coordinator Jordan MORE than made up for it when his team took over. So impressed all around!

We had our wedding ceremony and room block with Millennium and are so happy we did! Our ceremony was held in the glass dome on the 14th floor overlooking the Minneapolis skyline. The views were breathtaking, our guests were BLOWN AWAY. We had 75 guests and a custom built altar, the ceremony was intimate and exactly what we always dreamed. I started out working with Meghan, and when she left, I worked with Leslie for the block and Mark for event coordination. All were extremely responsive, helpful and accommodating. Our ceremony only cost $1500 for the space and they gave us complimentary parking and upgraded us to a large suite for our stay, only charging us the normal room rate. They also comped our wedding night! They sent us a cheese plate and bottle of wine our first night and then strawberries and a bottle of champagne the night before our wedding. Such a sweet and thoughtful surprise! We also had full use of the gorgeous Studios A/B with floor to ceiling windows as our getting ready bridal suite, which made for gorgeous pictures. I would recommend looking into hiring Dream Day Dressing Rooms to add chic furniture to make it feel extra special and cozy! The hotel is small and easy to navigate, rooms are clean but a little beat up, the hotel has obviously been around a long time. However, the glass dome and impeccable customer service made everything perfect. My husband and I felt like we got the VIP treatment from start to finish and are so thankful we chose the Millennium Hotel for this special event! Also, shout out to Dale for fixing our suite's AC and Scott/Wolfgang/Anita for being AMAZING in the lobby. You guys are great! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Amazing, wonderful, beautiful! Any of those words and so many more describe our fantastic experience we had with the Millennium. The views are exceptional from the Dome and the Marquis ballroom, the food was delicious, the staff was wonderful, and Meghan was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and prompt in answering any questions that came up. I would HIGHLY recommend this venue!!

Magical! We chose this venue for our winter wedding for its snowglobe effect inside the dome. We lost count of all the compliments we received from our guests about how beautiful and convenient (attached to hotel and has parking ramp!) this venue was. Mark, the catering manager, was wonderful to work with. Very communicative and responsive. I would highly recommend this venue.

My daughter got married New Year's Eve-2017, in the Dome Room on the 14th floor of the Millennium Hotel. We had the whole floor for the ceremony, reception, dinner and dance. Plus we hosted a Wedding Brunch in the Dome Room on New Year's Day. It was wonderful to be able to park in the covered lot, stay at the hotel and have all of the festivities on one floor- which was just for our use. Guests with children enjoyed the pool, using the sky ways and having a lot of space to get their energy out in without bothering any other guests. The hotel provided a good wedding hotel rate and were able to put most guests on the same floor. The hotel room was spotless, with new and comfortable furnishings. The 14th floor wedding venue was incredible. Both the reception and dinner rooms provided great views of Minneapolis - but the view from the Dome Room was phenomenal. The food was good and the staff were friendly and professional. Meghan, the Millennium's wedding event coordinator was very responsive to inquiries and worked hard to accommodate all requests. There was a day of wedding hiccup with table arrangement - but that did get solved by family members. The Dome was a very unique and beautiful setting to have the wedding and the food and service was very good.

Amazing! My husband and I hosted our rehearsal dinner in the Millennium Dome and it was fabulous! Meghan was so helpful with all of the planning/prep and her staff during the dinner was terrific. And the food was delicious---I scarfed that down fast! All in all, it was a beautiful event and I can't thank the Millennium enough for everything. You're amazing! Highly recommended!

This venue is absolutely stunning! We received so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful and unique the venue was. The dome was the most beautiful setting for the ceremony and turned into a perfect dance floor later on in the night. From the very beginning, Tina and Mark were so great and easy to work with. They helped with all of the details and answered every question I had very promptly. Mark was there on the day of our wedding and helped make sure everything ran smoothly! We couldn't have asked for a better place to get married! Absolutely perfect!

I was in awe when I first saw the venue online. I figured this was way out of our budget for a relatively small wedding. Fortunately, The Millennium offered an incredibly impressive setting for our big day that didn't break the bank. The staff was incredibly attentive and our friends and family had nothing but great things to say about the service (especially the bartenders). My wife and I would love to do it all over again!

From start to finish, the hotel and its staff went above and beyond. Planning was easy and seemless, and the wedding day was coordinated and went perfectly to plan. The space couldn't be more spectacular with the backdrop of the city from every angle, and the location of the hotel is ideal for guests. Our guests raved about the meals and beverage service. As for my husband and I, dancing our first dance under the stars in the dome is a memory we will always cherish. Thank you for making our wedding dreams come true.

It's also such an amazing an unique location!!

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. We wanted downtown, and this delivered. So convenient to have everything at one location for out of town guests. I think we forget how beautiful the glass dome really is... it is breathtaking. Our photos are stunning in there and all of our guests were in awe. We were so pleased with our experience and will forever be grateful for our unique venue that truly captured the city and us!!

The Millennium Hotel Minneapolis was absolutely incredible for our reception needs. We had a great dinner reception downstairs in the Grand Ballroom, and then we had a super fun dance & drinks portion of the night upstairs on the 14th floor overlooking the city in The Millennium Dome. Our guests raved about the experience at The Millennium. Would highly recommend for a Reception Venue.

I would strongly recommend the Millennium Hotel to anyone looking for a wedding venue! Compared to other venues with amazing views of Minneapolis it was very budget friendly while still offering all the amenities you could want. Tina, the Senior Catering Sales Manager, made the entire experience from our initial consultation through execution on wedding day easy and memorable. She was very professional, knowledgeable and assisted with all the special requests we had. The Dome and Marquis Ballroom and Studios were excellent with floor-to-ceiling windows and the flow on wedding day from the Dome for the ceremony (and dancing later) to the studios for cocktail hour and the ballroom for dinner was a wonderful experience for our guests. The hotel has a lot of options for food and liquor options; we ultimately ended up creating a custom menu and getting the premium liquor bar and received a lot of compliments from our guests on the quality of the food and drinks. The hotel itself is in a prime downtown location, has been renovated top to bottom and has employees who were friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the Nicollet Suite which I would strongly recommend for anyone getting married at the hotel; it was really nice having the large penthouse space to get ready, gather with friends and family, etc.

We loved every last thing about our wedding at Millennium Minneapolis! And so did our friends and family! The staff in all areas of the hotel was beyond incredible. The prices were very fair. The lobby, rooms, and event spaces were perfection. We had the most amazing experience with them. The staff was timely in responding, we felt like we were part of a family, everything was personalized and professional, and we had amazing interactions with all of the staff...from the planners, to the careers, to the chefs, to the bellmen, to the front desk teams...you name it...it was exactly what we needed and wanted...in fact, they exceeded our expectations!!!! Highly recommend!!! Don't leave this one off your list to check out!!!

Everything went great with planning up until the day of the event. There were small issues along with big issues. The biggest issues: We had an open bar and the bartender was back there taking shots-which I'm going to guess went on our tab to pay for them. Also, the event coordinator shut our reception down early; when I asked her about it she claimed it can take up to an hour to get people out so she was shutting it down early-which meant the DJ we paid for also got kicked out even though we paid him for the full time we had the space. I was quite disappointed by the end of the night with the Millennium.

The venue was absolutely gorgeous and the staff on the day of was very agile and willing to take care of any issues that came up. Tina was great to work with especially after our original coordinator quit unexpectedly just two months out from the wedding day. The food was a major highlight as it was delicious and the chef was willing to work with me on my Celiac allergy with my in-house desserts. Our guests had nothing but praises to say about the meal.
So why three stars? Some things to keep in mind if you are planning on booking the venue.
1) They add a 33% service charge to your final bill -- so expect to add $5,000 - $6,000 more to what you are quoted. In the contract it is broken up by category (food, drink, ceremony space, etc...) so you don't really see it all added together until the end (also avoid the late night snacks -- $400 for five pizzas and 2lbs of chips and salsa)
2) When they give you your blocked room rate, it is $60 more than what the average day rate is so your guests will end up spending more. The only perk to having the room block is that your guests won't have to pay until the day after, whereas if they booked online for the day of, they would have to pay immediately. Everyone was so busy with the cocktail hour and checking in on the day of (3pm) that none of my guests noticed if they were in the same area as everyone else or not.
3) Watch out for surprise fees. We were charged for three random meals the night before our wedding -- that had nothing to do with our wedding and we were charged $487 for a two night stay without a preapproval for a credit card charge from the hotel as well as no explanation as to why the "hold" was for $487 when the room rate was $169 per night. Watch your numbers and your bank account closely....
3) The front desk staff has no idea what is going on. We had several guests that needed disability parking assistance. They called the front desk and were told that there was no disability parking available in the area -- when yes there is -- in the Convention Center parking ramp directly across the street from Millennium's parking ramp. Also expect a $18-$26 parking charge per guest for the weekend. Your guests can foot the bill or you can choose to cover it. It's another fee to consider in your budget. The front desk staff was also very unhelpful answering reservation questions from our guests -- which meant we had to spend a lot of time emailing our coordinator and clarifying conflicting information our guests received from several different people answering the phones.
4) Prepare your guests for small beds. The room says the bed is a double, but the size is more akin to a single. Several of our guests were very uncomfortable sleeping two to a bed for two nights due to the smallness of the beds -- and no, Millennium does not have larger sizes.
Overall, a three is how I would sum up our experience with Millennium. The day of went smoothly and the venue is absolutely gorgeous, but several large hiccups beforehand with the staff caused headaches and stress that could have been avoided.

Big picture...the venue was beautiful and the day of went pretty smooth. Nitty gritty...this was an extremely stressful vendor to work with. During the year of planning we had to work with 5 different day-of coordinators/contacts (Samatha quit and they fired the replacement) and every time there was a change we had to rehash details that were already in our file. A LOT of items would have fallen through the cracks if I wasn't as OCD and organized as I am. The first thing that should have tipped me off is we were trying to get the contract signed to reserve our date and that e-mail was buried since that was at the time Samatha left the hotel. Problem #2 was that the booking site they use booked out the wedding suite which is part of the package. We went back and forth with them about that situation all year and we found out 2 weeks before the wedding that the suite opened back up. For the trouble we were given the suite the night before complimentary, which I had originally planned on booking anyway for a girls night before the wedding. I stated that I would recommend this vendor only because getting married on the 14th floor in the dome was beautiful, BUT I would advise doing so only with the use of a wedding planner (buffer) or if you are able to do the planning without a stressful full time job.

This is quite an amazing place! We decided to make this our wedding venue, and we couldn't have been happier. It has a great view whether it's day or night, the dome is beautiful. There are some reviews about the carpet in the dome being weird, but that is long gone! And the view in all the other rooms were amazing too!
They have a restaurant and bar in there as well, and the food is amazing! We recommend the butternut squash ravioli!
The staff were all very spot on as well. They helped us carry our luggage in and out to our car, but with smiles and friendly, genuine conversation the entire time. The front desk was always very nice and helpful. John and Cynthia made SURE our weekend went all according to plan, very helpful even though we pestered them about quite possibly everything. We really want to commend them, we owe our perfect weekend to them! So thank you to the Millennium Minneapolis for making our perfect day unbelievable.

Outstanding venue! We got married on August 8 in the "dome" and it was truly magical. Our guests were in awe as we had our ceremony under the sun with the cityview behind us, then dancing the night away under the stars. Having one floor (14th floor) as your event "stomping grounds" was very helpful and ensured that no guests went missing (helped with crashers, too!). The Millennium catering staff (Cynthia) was SO GREAT! Bartenders and serving staff were very pleasant, too! I was worried about the temperature in the dome, but they did a great job at controlling it for when our guests arrived and during the ceremony. The food was delicious, and the day went so well... I would hire the Millennium again in a heartbeat! In addition, the Nicollet Suite (13th floor) proved to be VERY helpful as our centralized meeting spot with our out-of-town guests, friends, and family. It provided us with the space we needed to get ready (we had hairdressers come in for the groomsmaids, all got dressed together, space for breakfast/lunch, etc.). Again, I highly recommend the Millennium!

We had our wedding reception at Millennium hotel in the 14th floor Marquis ballroom and dome on November 8th, 2014. It was the day of our dreams and better than we could have ever expected. The views of downtown from the ballroom and dome were gorgeous. The food was the best wedding food I have ever had--the sirloin was cooked to a perfect medium rare, the chicken was tender, the salads were large, and the bread chewy and delicious. Kristin was amazing to work with. She usually responded to emails with the hour, and was always willing to go above and beyond to help. She let me deliver my wedding decorations to her office the week of the wedding, so I didn't need to worry about it the day before. She even unwrapped 75 mercury glass votives from bubble wrap for us! She was very responsive to fixing any issues that may have come up, and extremely helpful through the whole planning process. The space holds 160 guests, so it is perfect for a more intimate wedding, and they have a larger ballroom that can hold 300 or so. It is the perfect downtown location and we are so thankful we chose to have our wedding here! Highly recommend this venue!!

I had my reception in the grand ballroom @ the Millennium Hotel. The space was perfect for 300. We were able to have 4 bars which was plenty and there was never a line(3 in foyer, 1 in ballroom). The space was new and the restrooms were close by with plenty of stalls and also very new. My guests said the food was some of the best they have had at a wedding. My only complaint would be how hot it got during dinner service with the doors closed. This will happen at any space with 300 people, but I wished there was better air circulation!. Overall a great place and reasonably priced!

I'm shouting from the rooftops that we had the most wonderful wedding reception at the Millennium Hotel! The stunning views from the 14th Floor / Dome paired with an rockin' DJ kept our guests dancing all night long. The space is recently renovated and looks very classy. What truly amazed us, however, was the incredible service from the Millennium staff. From the head chef joining us for our initial food tasting to the bartenders entertaining our 'enthusiastic' groomsmen, every person we met was very attentive, organized, and friendly!
Now, let's take a moment to gush about our fantastic coordinator, Samantha. She made the entire process smooth and efficient, answering every question promptly, honestly, and never making us feel like we were asking an insignificant or dumb question!
An FYI to couples with very large families - the 14th Floor / Dome has a limit of 160 guests, though there is also a very large and beautiful ballroom on the first floor. We didn't have a problem with the limit at all, it actually helped us keep our guest list in perspective.

Words can't describe how absolutely stunning this venue is. We had so many complements from our guests! The pictures are amazing with that view and background. people always want to know where this venue is and comment on how pretty it is! You won't go wrong with this venue. It's absolutely striking. Day time and night time both give a view to remember! And what I love - it's one of a kind..... You won't find anything like it in Minnesota!
As far as the staffing goes, it equally matches the dome's atmosphere in that it is beyond comparable. In my professional life I work for one of the leading companies in customer service and coach team members to have excellent service skills. I have to say that this staff blows this out of the water. They make sure everything you want is met with high priority and executed with perfection.
From the bride's point of view, every question, request, and concern was met with an immediate response and solution. We even had a fun little surprise that we wanted to incorporate last minute for the military guys and with out hesitation it was met.
From a guest point of view, my guests were treated like royalty the moment they walked in the door. Every wish was granted and staff was upbeat, smiling, and friendly.
The restaurant staff can not be overlooked either. Wow what an amazing crew. So fun and friendly ! The service is second to none.
The head chef had made phenomenal appetizers and dinners. We had lots of compliments. He too came out to meet us for the initial selection and he was so genuine and sincere in making sure he could deliver whatever we requested with any alterations.
The experience we had was absolutely top notch. From Samantha, to bell man, to front desk, to kitchen staff, to wedding staff, to clean up crew, to restaurant staff, to bar tenders, to room cleaners, ect.
The venue is gorgeous, but the staff to help you through out your celebration is equally important and you will not be disappointed. There is a saying " people won't remember what you do for them, but they will remember how you make them feel." This venue makes you and all your guests feel as comfortable as possible and make you feel like they really care about you by going above and beyond your expectations.
The only problem with this hotel I have is I want to do it all over again! :) best venue ever!!!!!

What a great place to have a wedding! The staff went above and beyond to make our special day stress free. The front desk manager took my Mom dress shopping the day of the wedding because her dress wasn't fancy enough and then one of the house keepers took her dress home along with my daughter's flower girl dress to alter it! What an amazing staff!
The food was the best wedding food I have ever had our guests also commented saying that was great food!
The ceremony room was such a beautiful place all our guests were amazed on how beautiful the wedding was :)
Not to mention our wedding coordinator, Samantha from the hotel, was always on top of everything making sure everything was the way we wanted.

This hotel is basically brand new after its multi-million dollar renovation. Jessica, our contact there, was so helpful and made sure our wedding was perfect. And it was! The only complaint was that the temperature was freezing and it never got warmer even after I requested it numerous times. I run very warm and I was even cold!! We could see our breath out on the dance floor!! We had guests leave early because they were so uncomfortable. Maybe with the new HVAC system, it will take them away to get the bugs worked out. We were told that the food was very good -- much better than expected for wedding food. I would do it all over again if I could!!

The Millennium was great--the view is amazing! All of our guests commented on how great the view was and how unique the dome is. We had the ceremony in the dome and the reception on the same floor it was very convenient to do so without traveling all over town. The food was excellent--lots of compliments on it--and Stacy is great to work with.

We had both our ceremony and reception in the dome and horizon room. It turned out amazing, the staff were very pleasant to work with, the food was amazing and would highly recommend. The food was a little pricey but well worth it!

The views from the 14th floor are breathtaking. All of the staff is wonderful to work with - I wish could have the wedding again to work with them all and use this space again!

We got so many compliments on our choice of venue, it was ridiculous! The Domed Ballroom was great for our winter wedding. When it snowed, it felt like were in a snow globe over looking the Minneapolis skyline.
The catering was incredible! I don't think I've seen serving sizes that big at any other wedding I've been to! The selection was great and their catering staff were very courteous.
The rooms at the Hotel for our guests were easy to block off and the staff was quick to help make some last minute adjustments.
Overall there could not have been a better venue to hold a ceremony, dinner and reception in. Ever.

The venue coordinator Stacy is fantastic! I can't give her more "thank yous" for all of her efforts and coordination. She really makes the process enjoyable and worry-free (because she kept track of every little detail I spouted off to her!). I think that she was the reason that my wedding went so smoothly. The food was delicious! I was nervous about it because I'm kind of a foodie, and if we picked the venue we had to use the hotel catering. BUT it was REALLY good!! I also had many guests tell me that they liked their food a lot too. The chef was also very accommodating of my gluten-free and peanut allergy guests. The view at the venue cannot be beat in the dome after the sun has set. It creates the perfect unique experience for the dance (dancing under the stars and skyline lights). We had one tiny snafu with the wait staff trying to serve the main dish to the bride and groom while the speeches were going on, but after one comment from the groom, they departed and served after the speeches were finished. The banquet manager checked in with me and the groom periodically to make sure everything was going well (and even got me a drink once). The bartenders were knowledgeable and did a really good job of dreaming up fruity shots for the bridesmaids when they just said, "Make us something girly." :) Really great venue experience!!

Stacy at the Millennium Hotel was excellent. She made sure we covered every detail prior to the event and everything went exactly as planned. There were no surprises or disappointments. The dome room is incredible and provided a memorable venue for everyone. The food was excellent too. I heard from many guests that it was the best food they had tasted at a wedding. I can not recommend this venue more highly.

We had two rooms for our reception, one was a 14th floor glass dome for our cocktail reception and dance, which overlooked downtown Minneapolis, the other room was connected to it for our dinner. We got so many great comments on our reception, we loved it! It was a unique atmosphere and different from what all of our friends previously had for their weddings.;Remove your guest book/signature board as soon as your cocktail reception ends. We ended up having some wedding crashers who signed our signature board with inappropriate comments. The common area of the reception hall is not easy to see from the reception rooms.

The dome room was fantastic. Everyone who sees the pictures comments on the excellent view.;The hotel staff was not what we had thought it would be. The servers were rude, our tables were incorrectly labeled, they did not know who was getting what entree despite a very detailed careful list that I had provided, and they were not accomodating at all.
