Simply Elegant Catering

I can't say enough great things about Simply Elegant Catering and Grey Rock Mansion. It was the perfect location for our Christmas wedding. Truly a magical setting. Even better is the professionalism and dedication Bill Clowney, owner, brought to the table to bring my vision to life. He helped to put together the perfect menu for our reception and was meticulous in his detail. The week before Christmas I completely changed all of the linen's and he as right there with new samples for me to look at and finalize. His coordination with the rental company was flawless. As an event planner myself I highly recommend Simply Elegant Catering.

I loved this venue for my September 20th wedding. I had my ceremony and reception here and the service throughout the day was excellent. Tia, my coordinator for the wedding day, was awesome. She made sure that everything ran smoothly and everyone knew where to be and when. The food was outstanding, my favorite was the carving station and the bourbon shrimp. I would definitely recommend Grey Rock as a wedding venue and Simply Elegant for catering!

Beautiful ballroom, spacious tent, great value. It was a little cold in the tent during dinner, even with the heaters going full blast.

Grey Rock Mansion and Simply Elegant did an amazing job on our wedding! They followed all our decorating instructions perfectly, the food turned out amazing, and the staff was incredibly friendly! I would hold an event there again as they were very reasonably priced. Definitely recommend them!

Grey Rock was very impressive on many levels! My new husband and I were so pleased with their customer service and ability to solve issues before he or I ever knew about them on the wedding day. It was drizzling right before the ceremony, and they were very flexible with us as we made our decisions about whether to move inside. We ended up waiting 15 min to start the ceremony and were able to have it in the back garden as planned since the rain had stopped. The inside decor is beautiful, especially by candlelight. They provide so many extra little things that make planning so easy. I would definitely recommend this venue to others!

She was more than accommodating with our many appointments and went out of her way to make sure our wedding was everything that we wanted and more. The staff was pleasant and attentive, especially Luis, and the food was absolutely delicious!

Grey Rock Mansion was the perfect choice for our wedding. We had both the wedding and reception at Grey Rock and both were amazing. My wedding was in December so the Historic Mansion was decorated (very tastefully!) for Christmas. The food also was great (what I actually got to taste of it). But far and away the most amazing part of Grey Rock is the staff. The event coordinator was more than helpful thru all of my special requests as well as the staff who worked at the wedding. All were very friendly and met every single expectation I had. I couldn't have chosen a better venue if I tried!

Simply Elegant was a delight to work with. Their food was fabulous, and even better, was the service they provided the day of the wedding. The hostess even helped us start the ceremony on time and personally attended to me and the groom! I highly recommend Simply Elegant; I wouldn't hesitate to say they did a perfect job catering my wedding!

Staff was VERY attentive and patient. Very friendly and available for questions and concerns. The food was amazing- my husband and I still have people talking about how great everything was!! The staff there took care of everything and helped the wedding day run smoothly. I would highly recommend not only the venue but the catering!! Awesome job and very impressive!! =)

Everything we chose was even better than we imagined. We'd taste tested everything and were so excited with our choices, but the actual stuff was even better! The service was fantastic and we were all so impressed. I would eat their food every day if I could!

I had a cocktail reception and SEC provided everthing that me and my husband wanted. From the first meeting, the the tasting, to the reception, Nancy and the staff were there to help and answer all of our questions.

We held our wedding at Grey Rock Mansion on August 11, 2007. Our wedding coordinator, Linnyette Richardson-Hall recommended it and it was the best decision we made, besides the decision to get married! :) The food selection was extensive and they really honored our requests to put a Caribbean spin on our menu. I loved the fact that we didn't have typical wedding food, especially because I absolutely despise chicken breast! Our main course was a duo of crab cake and beef kabob with yellow confetti rice and it was scrumptious! The hors d'ourves were delicious as well, especially the passed lamb chops and the crab dip! We still talk about the crab dip to this day! They even allowed us to bring in our own authentic Jamaicancocktail beef patties and Jamaican wedding cake from outside sources. Janet was the rep that we worked with and she really got the job done! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because, we were not given a "picnic" basket of leftovers as requested. We were only given some crab dip and a few pita squares ; ( Overall, a wonderful experience that our guests still rave about!
