Melissa, Gen and the whole team at Small Miami Weddings have been an amazing vendor to help me and my now husband :-) make the wedding planning process as seamless and stress free as possible. We were in contact with the team since April 2021 and super happy how everything was so organized. The day of the ceremony was the. best despite the weather being super unpredictable in mid-May and shout out to Melissa for helping us come up with a Plan B solution given the 40% chance of rain during the afternoon. We were able to work quickly with them and the ceremony was absolutely perfect and glad it ended up not raining during our special day. I highly recommend working with Small Miami Weddings as they are really the best in the business.

Small Miami Weddings made getting married a breeze! You can tell they've been doing this for a long time. Everything was perfect, timely, and detail oriented. I felt like they understood what we were wanting out of our wedding and our story. The ceremony script, which they reviewed with us, was fantastic, it really was a great script that encompassed our relationship. The location was peaceful and beautiful, Crandon Gardens. The detail behind my flower selection was stunning, and Gen even wore my favorite color top for our ceremony without me even asking. The hair and makeup was very professional and clean. Kate was my hair and makeup stylist, she arrive perfectly on time, asked what look I was looking for and delivered. She was so sweet, made the experience for me very comfortable, as I usually do not wear makeup. I wanted a natural look and she hit it right on the mark. And Aussie, our photographer was so nice, funny, and very good at what he does. He also made the experience of being photographed very easy and comfortable. I can't wait to see the professional photos of us. I can't thank Gen, Melissa, Kate, and Ozzy enough for making our day so special and meaningful. I am very detail oriented and really appreciate timeliness and everyone we worked with knew exactly what to do. Couldn’t have dreamed to have had our wedding come together so beautifully. When viewing their portfolio it was enjoyable to have the various options from different venues, professional floral arrangements, hairstyles, and makeup to help put together our dream wedding. Their attentiveness when reviewing our selections and telling our story within the script is where the dream became reality as everything was meticulously crafted. It showed within the script that they encompassed our relationship into this story, and was presented by our officiant Gen who was well dressed matching the whole wedding attire, and well spoken for all to hear clearly. Our professional photographer Ozzy showed up early and even helped in ensuring our special moment was made and captured. Under his coordination it made the process a walk in in the park, he made us laugh a lot and we were able to get in a ton of poses and photos in multiple spots around the the venue within the allotted time***I will be adding his professional photos once available to this post*** All the staff involved in making this day truly magical showed up early as they said they would and they delivered. I couldn’t recommend enough for anyone looking to get married in the Miami area to go through Small Miami Weddings.

Melissa and Gen are wonderful! We only decided to have the ceremony less than 10 days ahead, and not only these amazing people made it happen, they gave us exactly what we wanted, genuine and intimate, our parents were very happy. Due to the unexpected rain, Gen guided us through with the new location and time the night before. She was so calm and knowledgeable, definitely helped me to calm down when I was low-key freaking out inside. They are so passionate and care about what's best for us. We choose to get married with less than a months notice coming from NYC to Miami Beach. We reached out to Small Miami Weddings for our desired date, & it was available. I spoke with Melissa, & she was very friendly on the phone, & I liked her vibe, so we choose them. On the day of our sunrise wedding; we all showed up on time at 6:35am, & Melissa & Ozzy (photographer) were also very friendly & professional. Would definitely recommend them. Oh and my bouquet was exactly what I wanted, & it was beautiful. Can’t wait to see the pictures.

Just had a small wedding at Vizcaya and everyone at Small Miami Weddings made my dreams come true. Long story short: Friday was our planned wedding day but due to the weather forecast they were able to move everything LAST MINUTE to Thursday. They were very responsive via email and phone. All of my questions and more were answered in a timely manner. All of my family and friends that attended could not believe how amazing everything turned out. I highly recommend using this company if you want to elope or have a small wedding in Florida. I can't wait to see the pictures! I cannot thank this company enough! Highly recommended! We had SMW plan our ceremony in June 2021, on the beach in Crandon Park and it was beautiful! Melissa and Gen were our coordinators and officiant, and was so kind, friendly, professional and organized. Everything went well, seamlessly and beautifully. The music, flowers, decor and chairs were picturesque and our guests remarked on the beauty of the location. My family loved our sand ceremony, which was included with our package. Melissa worked with us to create an intimate, romantic, family-oriented and fun ceremony. Her attention to detail was top-notch and we really appreciate her help in every step. I would recommend SMW for anyone looking for a small, romantic wedding in Miami.

Our officiant Melissa made our ceremony completely perfect, tailored to the two of us and our story. My hair and make up artist provided by Small Miami Weddings came to my hotel room, was right on time, professional and delightful…not to mention she made me look the most beautiful I have ever looked. The photographer provided by Small Miami Weddings was also perfect. Our photographer made the process so fun and was very skilled in his craft, posing us in the best lighting and always making us look amazing. All we had to do on our day was show up and everything else was taken care of for us, which was exactly what we wanted.

Melissa and Gen are the absolute best! They are very budget friendly and were able to make our dreams come true. Their customer service was above and beyond. They are literally just the most genuine people we have ever met. They made our day so special and perfect! We had some issues with our photographers and Gen was there to save the day. I cannot thank them enough for all of their hard work, they really love what they do and you can definitely see that. When the time comes for us to renew our vows we will be reaching out to them again.

My wife and I were so thrilled with our Small Miami Weddings experience and we would highly recommend Small Miami Weddings. Thank you again! I hired Small Miami Weddings (SMW) because I read the reviews about them being “professional” and “kind”. Unfortunately my experience with them was disappointing. I hired them to be my wedding coordinators at Vizcaya, on my wedding day. I did not hire their photo/ video service, I hired a photographer and videographer separately. During the first few weeks of planning SMW was very professional and responsive, but when we encountered our first bump on the road they changed. FIRST ISSUE First issue I had was with SMW and my videographer. SMW requested a “Certificate of Insurance” from my videographer, which needed to have “Small Miami Weddings” as the insurer. The videographer got difficult and would only send a certificate with the venue’s name on it (Vizcaya). Letty from SMW told me that they could not deal with my videographer directly because I hadn’t hired video through them. So I was in the middle calling the videographer and SMW back and forth to try and resolve the issue. RIDICULOUS! Several days of back and forth & NOTHING! As the bride I was very frustrated & according to SMW without the certificate there would be no wedding. FINALLY I called Vizcaya & asked Lilian (the rental manager) to contact my videographer & explain why the (DAMN) certificate needed to have SMW’s name on it. Lilian resolved that issue in 5 minutes. SECOND ISSUE The second issue was with my “first look”. My ceremony start time was 10 am. Before the ceremony I wanted to have our “first look” inside of Vizcaya. SMW allows all guests (including the bride and groom) to go into Vizcaya at the same time, and only 10 minutes before the ceremony start time. I asked Melissa if the groom and I, the photo and video could go inside 15 mins before (instead of 10 mins) so that video would have enough time to setup his equipment and capture the first look. Melissa’s first excuse was that Vizcaya was too strict and would not allow that. When I asked her if she could call Vizcaya and ask the manager to allow us to enter the venue 15 minutes earlier (instead of 10 mins) her response was “ABSOLUTELY NOT!” She told me that my wedding was “the most difficult wedding” she had dealt with and that she was not going to mess up SMW’s reputation with Vizcaya for me. WTF? She said that the time to enter the museum was “SET IN STONE”. This was 5 days before my wedding. I was very disappointed in her response. All that “professionalism” and "kindness" went out the window in that conversation. When I hung up with Melissa I called Vizcaya directly and spoke to rental manager. I asked her if there was a problem with me entering the venue 15 before my ceremony to do the first look. Lilian told me that there was no problem in allowing us enter the museum 15 minutes before the ceremony. She said that that was probably a policy from SMW not allowing anyone enter the venue until 10 minutes before the ceremony. SMW basically REFUSED to give me an additional 5 minutes because they felt like it. DISAPPOINTING! The correct response would have been “let me see what I can do”, even if you weren’t going to give me the 5 minutes I asked for. This is typical Miami service for ya. No manners, no consideration. I gave SMW 3 stars out of 5 because the ceremony went on without problems. Had they handled the two problems I had differently, I would have given them 5 stars. Hopefully they will be more understanding when the next bride that hires them encounters a bump on the road.

Amazing! amazing! Amazing! They made me and my now husband feel so comfortable during our special day. I cannot recommend better planners if you are looking to elope or get married with fewer guests. This all coming from a wedding planner of 4 1/2 years. I completely recommend the Vizcaya location as well. It’s so beautiful and such a unique location that people are still asking “where was that” so they can visit.

Melissa and Gen did such a fantastic job on our wedding day, Jan. 18, 2020 at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne. They guided us through every step of the process, including obtaining a marriage license and picking the flowers, which were beautiful by the way and lasted almost two weeks, including the flight home! We are a widowed couple in their 60s, getting married for second time with our four young adult children serving as bridesmaids/groomsmen, thus the "elopement package." If I had to do it all over again I'd Small Miami Weddings take care of our daughters' hair and makeup, too. I had a makeup artist - Amy - recommended by Small Miami Weddings come to the hotel room, and she was great. But our daughters used the hotel salon and despite booking months in advance they had only one stylist for both of them - and she was late, which made us late to the wedding! Gen and Melissa handled it though and the small, simple ceremony was everything I'd hoped for. Thanks to Leticia, too, behind the scenes, keeping me on track!

Wedding review Wow! Paradise! What a location for our beautiful beach wedding. We couldn’t have been any happier with our location, absolutely stunning. As we hadn’t visited Miami before, we were reliant on Gen and Melissa’s opinions on the best locations. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to have our special day, Key Biscayne. Gen and Melissa planned and organised our wedding at very very short notice, over the Christmas and New Year period. They are absolute stars and such lovely, friendly people. Being all the way in Lansing Michigan I was nervous planning from afar but they gave the best customer service, communication was easy and prompt, The photography was AMAZING! Love Small Miami Weddings! We wanted to elope just the two of us but we wanted something more meaningful than a courthouse or Vegas. Small Miami Weddings was the answer. We talked to them 2 weeks before we booked our trip to Ft. Lauderdale and they made the process incredibly easy. Since we were from out of state, we picked up our license on Thursday and they met us outside our hotel on the beach Friday morning. The roses were stunning and it was a much larger bouquet than we anticipated. We stuck to the script yet the ceremony still felt personal and intimate. We then took pictures for 15-20 minutes and the previews look amazing! We could not have asked for a better wedding! We even said we’d go back and do it every year! No matter if it’s just the two of you or a smaller crowd of friends and family, use Small Miami Weddings if you’re getting married in the Fort Lauderdale/Miami area!

The Small Miami Weddings team was great, from planning, communication, recommendations, and execution the day of the wedding. In the very beginning they were very easy to work with, quickly responding to all of our emails. They made all of the planning incredibly easy, making it as easy as picking up our marriage license and showing up the day of. Not being from Miami, we needed some help coming up with the right place for the wedding. Thankfully, as we came to find out, we were recommended a beautiful location, that blew us away. Finally, everything the day of went off without a hitch: setup, photography, and the ceremony were all flawless. We couldn't have asked for anything better.

Gen and her team were absolutely amazing! From the beginning to the end they were on top of their game and so experienced. We live in Michigan as do the majority of our guests and everything went so smooth. I saw a review before that said something like ‘I just showed up and it was perfect’ and it was so true. I have only great things to say about SMW! They made my day go smootly and well organized! I did not have to worry about any of the services they provided us! They are always available for communication and answers for all questions and doubts I ever had. We are new in Miami and we had a short period of time to plan our small wedding. We didn’t know anyone in the area so when I found them I was so happy and relieved. They were very efficieny and organized every step of the way. Even my guests commented on how well organized and quickly it all happened! We hired an officiant, musicians, photographer and day-of-coordinator through them and I’m so greatful for SMW and I can’t wait to see our pictures. September 2018 beach ceremony The team at Small Miami Weddings was beyond exceptional! Gen and Melissa were an absolute joy to work with. Being out of state and trying to plan a wedding was pretty stressful and anxiety producing, but they made our experience a breeze! The team was/is very responsive to any and all questions/concerns we have/had. Our marriage certificate was even filed the very same day as the ceremony! As most brides are I'm sure, I was pretty nervous the morning of the ceremony, but Gen and Melissa made me feel at ease. They are such a genuine group, so friendly and professional. The venue that was recommended was absolutely perfect! It was just beautiful! Gen and Melissa brought our vision to life and we couldn't have asked for anything more! Our wedding photos and poses are absolutely gorgeous. It was difficult to decide which ones to order because they were all so great! I would HIGHLY recommend Small Miami Weddings! My husband and I had a flawless, seamless ceremony all because of Gen and her team! I literally didn't have to do a thing/lift a finger. I told Gen what we wanted, and she arranged every detail from location (vizvaya gardens), to bouquet, to photos, to hair and makeup. All I had to do was open the door for the makeup artist and show up at the venue! I haven't gotten my photos back yet; however, I already know that they are going to be wonderful! The photographer was a PRO and he showed me images as we were shooting. They were absolutely divine! Gen and her team are extremely professional, responsive, knowledgeable, gracious, and helpful. Wow, wow, wow is all I can say! We found Small Miami Weddings (SMW) online, and I am soooo happy we decided to let them handle our special day. We are from NC and they have an elopement package that was PERFECT for us. They took care of our marriage license, all of the photography, officiant services and the best part was how EASY it was. It was great not having to drive all the way to FL to handle the marriage license stress. Everything was 100% stress-free. We got married last Sunday morning. It was pouring rain, and they were so sweet about making our day special. SMW offered to push our ceremony back due to the weather. We had our hotel as a back-up location, so we decided to have it there. The ballroom we paid to reserve as a backup had a terrance over-looking the yachts by the water. SMW moved outdoor tables and chairs to make this perfect for us! These ladies know what they are doing, and they are good at their job. They made our day perfect. They will respond to your emails quickly no matter how many emails you might send... and trust me, I sent a lot of emails lol!! I am so happy we decided to go with SMW for our wedding. We decided to elope to Miami for our 10year Anniversary and after researching several options it was obvious that SMW the company to go with and we were not disappointed. Gen and the rest of the crew at Small Miami Weddings exceeded my expectations! Since we are located out of state, the custom arch was communicated via email and it turned out fabulous!! Couldn't have been happier with the level of customer service, promptness, and helpfulness throughout the entire process and especially on our wedding day. We had a beach wedding with an infant which was a huge challenge on its own but the Small Miami Weddings team went above and beyond the day of our wedding to make things as stress-free as possible. They made the entire process seamless and we were able to have a beautiful wedding and small reception at Vizcaya (our dream venue) with a group of about thirty people, all planned and executed in a matter of six weeks! We were very impressed at the level of organization and coordination, such that even without a rehearsal the ceremony was flawless. Plus, we absolutely loved the photographs, which were unbelievably beautiful even with difficult outdoor lighting. The extras we chose, such as the violinist and champaign toast added elegance to our simple affair. Our guests had an amazing time and we wouldn't have changed a single thing. Gen and her team are quick to respond to any questions or concerns and really put your mind at ease both leading up to and throughout the wedding day. They made time to meet with us a few days prior to go over last minute details and put our minds at ease. They coordinated with the cafe to provide a beautiful reception and even learned the names of our families and wedding party prior to the event. They were so friendly and helped us to relax before the ceremony. Melissa officiated beautifully, with a very touching script and we were able to add our own vows. This team truly felt like part of our friends and family there to celebrate with us, rather than a team of vendors that were rushing off to the next event. They even stayed beyond the agreed timeline so that our guests wouldn't feel rushed and took extra photos of us after the reception. The portrait session was by far one of our favorite parts as they made it fun and natural, capturing some truly great shots. We felt like royalty for the day. Photographs were processed and released to us sooner than promised and our CD of images was sent promptly along with an online gallery and shareable links. They really are on top of everything and seem to love what they do. I cannot recommend them enough. If you are looking for hassle free wedding planning with a beautiful outcome they are your team. They will also work with you if you choose to add a few special requests or make customizations (for example my mother wanted to make my cake, my aunt had some special decorations, I wanted to play a music list during the reception, we added a videographer, etc). Basically, they are very flexible and accommodating, helping to make your dream a reality--providing recommended vendors, but working well with anyone you choose. The best part is the affordability, as we were able to have an elegant wedding on a shoestring budget. These ladies provide amazing services at a phenomenal price. I couldn't believe the value, especially since professional photography is included in the package. Book this team while you can. You will not regret it!
