Stunning service, amazing and complimented food! Something Special really worked with us! I asked for most dishes to be made vegan, and gluten free, and they absolutely provided! Such sweet folks too. I can't thank them enough!

Our daughter was using a banquet facility that required your own caterer. This couple was great. Calm and capable is how we would describe them. Our tasting was yummy and they were attentive but gave us space to talk amongst ourselves. The wedding feast was tasty and hot. We didn't order fancy, we wanted generous home cooked favorites and that's what we got. No one left hungry. Staff worked efficiently and coordinated with the banquet facility so we never got caught in a communication triangle. They moved with expert knowledge and their servers all knew how to work together. That gave us confidence, they delivered just what they promised.

We used Something Special for our July 2018 wedding and from the moment we met Barry and Laurie it felt as though we were a part of their family. We had a tasting along with my parents and in-laws and were able to taste some appetizers, soups, and meals. We knew from that moment that no matter what food we chose it would be delicious. We had our tasting in the fall, but our wedding was in the summer. When we went back a few weeks before the wedding they noted that one of our selections was more appropriate for the winter weather that we tasted it in and we able to change the meal to fit for the season. We would have never thought about it if it weren't for Barry and Laurie bringing it up and it was absolutely the right call everyone told us how much they loved the raspberry sorbet.

Absolutely terrible to work with. Unprofessional and don't try to work to solve problems just get defensive. Our final amount due was incorrectly written on the final statement, amount was confirmed via email and check made out and given in person. Was called the next day saying I had to come down ASAP to pay an additional $810 due to a calculation error. Then I ordered extra meals which were "given away" even though I request them be saved for after the wedding reception. And when confronted about the meals I was given nothing but attitude and anger. On my wedding day!! Lastly, I had to provide a grill for them to cook on and wasn't told this until the week before the wedding even though they knew it was a prep kitchen and small venue since I booked the facility but they never check the venue out prior to that week.
