We worked with Sounds Abound and requested Tony Ho as our DJ. He was amazing to work with leading up to the wedding, listening to us, offering his own ideas, and ensuring that our exact requests were included! He was AMAZING during the ceremony and reception and totally leaned into the vibes that we wanted for the night! We got so many compliments from our guests about how awesome our DJ was and how we had the best dance floor ever! I’m so happy we were able to work with Tony and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for great wedding vibes !

I was between giving 4 or 5 stars. Overall, the service provided was good. My DJ was nice and on time, and communication prior to the wedding was quick and easy. However, the song I was supposed to walk out to as the bride was switched with my bridesmaids processional song. For our first dance song, I had requested a specific acoustic version, but instead it was an instrumental version. Just a few mix ups. Photo Booth was great.

We were so happy Sounds Abound was available for our wedding date! Brian was our DJ and he was so flexible and accommodating for our music selection and what we wanted for our reception. Brian gave us really helpful recommendations for timing and song selections based on his experience in the industry which we appreciated as well. We really enjoyed working with Brian and highly recommend!

We went with Tony Ho as our DJ for our wedding and we could not be happier! Throughout the whole process the Sounds Abound office sent emails informing us of what to expect and what was needed from us. They were quick to respond to emails and easy to work with. There was an online platform to select songs you want to hear or do not want to hear and Tony made sure that if there was a song we wanted that wasn’t in their catalog, they got it! He specifically said what the bride wants, the bride gets! Tony did a fantastic job of introducing the bridal party, letting the guests know important information about our guest book and the late night snack, and ensuring we had the best vibe of music at all times! I would recommend Sounds Abound and Tony Ho specifically time and time again. YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

As a host, Keith was fantastic—announcing everyone promptly and keeping the event running smoothly. During our ceremony, he expertly managed the microphones and swiftly handled a technical hiccup to ensure everything went seamlessly. The DJ sets the whole vibe for a wedding and can either make or break it. The process from start to finish was so easy. Tony Ho, the owner, did a call with us and answered all our questions before booking. We chose Brian Keck as our DJ, and he did not disappoint. They have an online portal where you input all your music choices for all important moments and then a section for music you want to hear at the reception. We went over all the music a week before the wedding and Brian did not miss a beat. He made us feel so comfortable and was flexible about switching up the music if we wanted. He was very informative and kept asking us throughout the night if the music was okay and if we wanted to hear anything else as the night was wearing down. Our reception was in a banquet hall so we could hear the music on either side during toasts and dinner and Brian made sure to try to pull the attention back towards us and made jokes about it. Overall, we are truly happy with our experience

Tim Yach of Sounds Abound kept us on the dance floor all night!! He came prepared, was easy to work with, and checked in throughout to be sure we were having a great night. Sounds Abound did an excellent job of communicating with us clearly from the time we booked through our day off. Definitely recommend!

Steve was an absolute pleasure to work with! He really lifted up the room with his Dj/Emcee skills. The music he played kept the dance floor alive all night long. Teenagers all the way up to baby boomers could enjoy his playlist at our wedding. He also set up sound for our ceremony which was executed perfectly. Our guests could hear everything being said after he welcomed us with our music choices and sent us off to start the party. The online planner is super helpful in setting the stage for your music choices.

WOW! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Sounds Abound. The DJ was nothing short of incredible and truly made our event unforgettable. From the very start, he listened carefully to all our requests, paying attention to every detail we mentioned, no matter how small. One of the things we loved most was how seamlessly he incorporated a special MP3 file that was important to us—it meant a lot, and he made sure it fit perfectly into the night’s music flow. But what really blew us away was how he kept the dance floor alive all night long. From the moment the music started, guests of all ages were on their feet, and it stayed that way until the very last song. The energy never dipped, and he had an incredible talent for reading the crowd and knowing exactly what to play to keep the party going. Ray of Sounds Abound was our DJ, and he was the epitome of professional. During our pre-wedding meeting, he was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. On the day of, he managed the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception effortlessly. He kept the energy high and had people dancing all night long.

We can’t say enough positive things about our experience working with Sounds Abound for our wedding! They were an absolute dream to work with - every time I reached out with a question leading up to our big day, Nicole or Tony would reply to my email right away within the day, which we really appreciated. We used Sounds Abound for their DJ, Photo Booth, and uplighting services. The event worksheet for filling out details about our ceremony and reception was straightforward and easy to use, and really helped us visualize and plan our music selections for our ceremony and cocktail hour. It was also super easy to select music for our reception “must play”, “like to play” and “do not play” lists. We only selected a handful of songs for each of those lists because we had full faith that our DJ, Keith, would read the room and keep the party going all night, and wow did he deliver! The dance floor was filled with people the entire night, and guests started dancing even before we officially opened the dance floor! Keith did a fantastic job, and so many guests reached out to us after the wedding saying that they’ve never seen such a crowded dance floor! Keith was wonderful to work with, he was very flexible and reconfirmed our music selections before each wedding event to check that we were all still on the same page and didn’t need to make any changes. During the reception Keith made sure that we were on the dance floor for our “must play” songs so we were able to enjoy them. We can’t say enough wonderful things about Keith and highly recommend him! Another highlight of our wedding was the Photo Booth, and our attendant Joe did such a wonderful job! All of our guests had a blast at the Photo Booth, and at the end of our wedding we received a copy of everyone’s Photo Booth photos, which we had so much fun looking at! We had the most incredible wedding day and can’t thank Sounds Abound enough for everything they did to make our wedding dreams come true!

Tony Ho was very professional, kind, and helpful. His communication was top notch and kept us on track. He made the planning process simple and enjoyable! During the ceremony and reception the music was amazing. The guest raved about the DJ and the dance floor was full! The photobooth attendant, Doug was personable, helpful, and hilarious. Everyone loved the photobooth. Sounds Abound went above and beyond to make our wedding everything we wanted and more. We highly recommend booking with Sounds Abound if you want to have a blast! Steve from Sounds Abound was our DJ for our August 2024 wedding. He was communicative and an absolute delight to work with. He helped us keep the event flowing and answered all of our questions regarding timeline and smaller details. Steve even went above and beyond to communicate with the venue about our day. At the end of the night, we had several guests approach us to let us know how excellent the music selections were. There was never a lull on the dance floor. Steve captured our vibe impeccably. We can’t recommend Steve and the Sounds Abound crew enough!!

Matt Ammons was the DJ for our wedding this August. He was so friendly and intuitive to our music taste for all the different portions of the evening (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception). He did a great job introducing everyone and was very flexible with us as we had a couple last minute adjustments with our reception. He kept the dance floor full the whole night! He took some of our preferred music and filled in the night with choices in a very similar style and transitioned between music very well! I would definitely recommend him for weddings and other events. I felt the cost was also very reasonable and the company communicated with us multiple times before our wedding date to help us prepare.

Sounds Abound/Matt Ammons was a wonderful choice as our wedding DJ! The process was seamless from start to finish. From the consultation to the end of our wedding night, I can't say enough good things. Sounds Abound has a portal you can use every day up until your big event which was great for us to use in and out of planning our music choices. Matt was such a great choice for us, he is so personable and makes sure everything is up to your standards. He really made us feel comfortable and taken care of. Most of our guests left our wedding saying "wow, the dance floor was packed all night!" "amazing song choices, I've never seen that many people on the dance floor!" Sounds Abound was by far one of my favorite wedding vendors that we worked with! All communication was professional, kind and promptly responsive. Their online tool to select music and develop playlists was easy to use and ensured you never forget a specialty song choice. DJ Matt Ammons was phenomenal, we received so many compliments and already referred him for future weddings. We really wanted a packed dance floor, and we had family who never dance out there with us, and we truly enjoyed every minute of it. He also handled our ceremony and cocktail hour, as well as MCd while keeping the timeline moving. It was also so fun watching all his instagram stories the next morning to relive the day. We are so appreciative of everyone at Sounds Abound for making our special day one to remember!

Steve Drews was the PERFECT DJ for our event! He was organized, thoughtful, and full of energy throughout the entire day! Steve coordinated all audio, MC, and musical needs for our ceremony and reception with expertise! He met with us beforehand to go over all the details including song choices, audio equipment needs, name pronunciations, and the schedule of events, allowing for our wedding day to be stress free! I recently used Sounds Abound for my wedding on June 14, 2024 and Tony Ho was amazing! He brought the party to life! We had Matt Ammons as our DJ for our wedding! He was so nice and professional throughout the event. He had great rapport with the bridal parties. He was on top of all of the transitions that needed to happen (i.e., announcing speeches, cutting the cake, introing the first dance, etc). He matched the energy of the dance floor and did a great job with the music! We had a lot of guests come up to us at the end of the night saying how much they loved the DJ! We so enjoyed having Matt be apart of our wedding day, he helped keep the party going and helped make it such a perfect day! We would 100% recommend Sounds Abound to anyone looking for a DJ for their event! They were really easy to work with and had great communication. Both the company and Matt listened to what we wanted the event to look like and helped make it happen! We also used the photobooth for our wedding too. The photobooth attendant was very professional and kind. There was a cool background, fun props, and they made us a customized strip for the pictures with our names and wedding date. You could virtually send the photobooth strips to yourself or print copies. It was awesome and our guests had so much fun using it! Thank you for everything, Sounds Abound!

We used DJ Keith from Sounds Abound, and he was the BEST DJ in every way. He was professional, dressed perfectly, sociable but not over sociable, gave me and my groom EVERYTHING we asked for, and was so nice. He communicated with us and asked questions when he needed to. He was a true DJ. He played the songs we wanted to hear, mixed, fed off the crowds response to the music, and kept us dancing until the very last song. I am a wedding coordinator and have worked with Sounds Abound DJ's many times, and they are not all good. However, Keith is the best! Ask for him and you will have exactly what you want in a DJ. I honestly cannot say enough good things about him. He made our night a celebration and made us beyond happy.

Matt Ammons from Sounds Abound played our wedding on Saturday, June 15th, 2024, in Naperville, Illinois and did an amazing job. Leading up to the event the Sounds Abound team had excellent, user-friendly resources for us to use as we generated songs we felt were “must plays,” songs we “like,” and songs we don’t want played. Sounds Abound has great customer service and have many services that can enhance any wedding. On the day of the wedding, Matt was thorough with his work and did well with all aspects of the wedding. Matt arranged the sound for the ceremony and DJed the reception. His years of experience as a DJ were on full display throughout the night as he consistently played music that catered to the party. The owner of Sounds Abound, Tony Ho, was also communicating to ensure that we had our needs met leading up to the wedding and it was just an excellent experience from start to finish working with Sounds Abound. When evaluating DJs for our wedding we found Sounds Abound to be reasonably priced and looking at the work they did, it was most certainly something we would highly recommend for anyone looking to have a DJ play their wedding. Thank you to Matt and the Sounds Abound team for making our wedding even more spectacular than we could’ve expected! People brought their boogie shoes to the wedding and didn’t stop boogying until the party was over!

We worked with Keith and he was incredible! Super laid back when it came to planning/communication, confirmed everything day of, and kept the dance floor going all night. He made everyone, from the grandparents to the littles, happy. Beyond that, Keith worked in all our traditions/multicultural music, worked super well with our coordinator, and even made a custom cut of our first dance song. Truly the best experience.

We loved our entire experience with Sounds Abound entertainment. They were very responsive with emails and incredibly organized throughout the planning process. Keith is amazing! We saw him at our best friends wedding and immediately booked him for ours. He did not disappoint. Our family was on the dance floor all night long!

Overall we were pleased with our DJ. He did a great job playing all of our requested music and kept the dance floor full. He dressed professionally. He had nice sleek equipment. He had a good flow with the speeches during dinner. He did a good job informing the guests of late night snacks and dessert table. Was a little difficult to understand the wedding party announcement, sounded muffled and like screaming. The biggest disappointment was after saying he would hand out our glow sticks during the dancing, they were forgotten and never used. We also had a Photo Booth, no complaints with him.

HIRE SOUNDS ABOUND! We had the pleasure of working with Tony Ho as our DJ, Nicole in the office, and Emi as our photo booth attendant. From beginning to end, they were quick to respond, organized, and on top of last-minute requests. We admittedly did not give them a lot to work with music-wise. We said to just go with what’s popular because my husband is in a metal band, and we felt most people wouldn’t want to listen to that. Tony curated the perfect playlist for our cocktail hour and dinner music, incorporating some metal and even pulling from my husband’s band’s Spotify! It was very tasteful, and our guests kept complimenting how much they loved the music and how unique it was for a wedding. It was so personal to us, and we can’t thank him enough. We also couldn’t decide on a first dance song, so Tony flawlessly blended both songs together! If you are debating adding a photo booth with them, it’s definitely worth it. Our guests were in the photo booth all night! We got to not only keep copies of all the pictures, but they also put them in this beautiful guest book for us to keep. Seriously, it was an absolutely perfect wedding, thanks in huge part to Tony and his team. Don’t hesitate—hire them!

Brian K. was the DJ/MC that we chose for our Wedding last month and I am SO glad!! Brian exceeded our expectations! He was super flexible with the adjustments we made and was so personable. On top of that, Brian even let my younger brother press play for one of the songs! That meant so much to him and my family! From the original inquiry to the day of the wedding, everything was so smooth and well taken care of. Price was totally fair and well worth it. My wife and I used Sounds Abound for our wedding on 1/20/2024 and were extremely pleased with the entire experience. From contacting them to and through all the communication the response was always quick and informative. We added lighting late in planning and it was handled without a problem. We selected Geoff Rafferty as DJ who did an incredible job from set-up to break-down and everything in between. Geoff kept the music and guests alive all evening. We had some interesting things that got worked into the night and Geoff handled them with ease. Our venue recommend Sounds Abound to us as one of their recommended DJs and we are so thankful they did!! The whole process of booking a DJ through Sounds Abound was extremely easy, and honestly one of the easiest parts of our wedding! On the Sounds Abound platform, they make it super easy for you to choose the must play songs, songs you also like, and songs you don’t want - they also have a great section to choose what type of genre you want for dinner and cocktail hour (which I hadn’t even thought of!). Highly recommend Matt Ammons - he is the BEST. We honestly didn’t pick a whole lot of songs (mostly focused on must play songs), but he understood the crowd and played songs for everyone! The older folks were dancing and the younger crowd loved the music as well! We got SO many compliments and quite a few “Where’d you find this guy?? I LOVE him” comments. Couldn’t have asked for a better DJ/MC for our wedding. 12/10 would recommend Matt Ammons and Sounds Abound!

We had DJ Matt Ammons with Sounds Abound for our wedding celebrating on NYE weekend, and we give our highest recommendation to him! He had our event run super smoothly from cocktail hour to bridal party entrance to first dances and speeches to our most favorite event at a wedding-DANCING! We are MAJOR dance floor people and wanted to make sure our dance floor was full and energetic the whole night, and Matt definitely made that vision come to life for us. I cannot thank him enough for ensuring we had a fabulous evening to remember! He even made a cool instagram reel of videos from the night...so awesome!

Soundsabound was amazing to work with! The owner Tony was always quick to respond to emails. We picked Mike Macie as our DJ for our wedding at Fishermen's Inn. He was professional and checked in on us a couple times during the night to make sure things were going how we wanted.

Working with soundsabound was one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning. They were extremely familiar with the venue, communicative in establishing the reservation, and have a straightforward software to input our song choices. Our DJ, Gary, was easy to reach and was prepared for our pre-event conversation. During the night, he was incredibly professional, funny, and engaging. The music choices were all great and in line with our submissions and the choice of music and volume always felt right through the night. Even when we had a tech issue it was quickly rectified and the night was so smooth and great feedback from the guests too. Would recommend for any in the Chicago suburban area!

Sounds Aboud were excellent to work with. They gave us what we wanted and didn't push us to do more (we had a simple set up). We LOVED Brian Keck, the DJ we chose. He had a strong sense of what kept our guests engaged on the dance floor and handled all of our MCing and special song requests with ease (and a great speaking voice to boot!). The Sounds Abound website makes planning super easy - choosing genres of music for various points during the reception, and allowing you to click on specific songs (their library has EVERYTHING) that you "must hear" and "don't want to hear". Brian went above and beyond to find a couple of unique, specific recordings we wanted played at special moments during the reception that were not part of their library. Great experience from start to finish and kudos to "our guy" Brian Keck for being the perfect wedding DJ!

Sounds Abound was the best DJ choice by far for our wedding in August 2023! They were extremely responsive and willing to go the extra mile to make our day special, even setting us up with uplighting for our reception space and cold sparklers for our send off. Their portal was super easy to enter in our wedding details and song choices. We also really appreciated the team accommodating our officiant’s request for a lapel microphone and music stands for our readers. We LOVED having DJ Tony, he made the entire planning process so easy and fun! His energy is absolutely electric!! He took the time to get to know us, helped us plan out the music vibe for each part of the day, and gave us so many great suggestions to make our experience even better. Both DJ Tony & his assistant absolutely crushed it on our big day, our ceremony music was perfect and everyone had such a blast thanks to the music and dance floor set up! We hired Geoff Rafferty to DJ our fall 2023 wedding and he was a hit with all of our guests, aged 16 to 85! Starting off with the cocktail music, it set the perfect vibe for our reception. Introductions were AMAZING, our wedding party had so much fun walking out. We have A LOT of tough names to pronounce in our family and friend group and Geoff nailed all of the pronunciations, which was incredibly important to us. Especially with the last name Gettinger! The music played throughout dinner was very tasteful, perfect volume for us to go and chat with our guests. Geoff, checked in with us at every point to make sure we were ready to move into each item. Once we had finished our traditional dances, our family was ready to party!! We had people on the dance floor the ENTIRE time!! Geoff did such an amazing job, and we look forward to passing along his contact information to our friends for their weddings!
