I cannot say enough good things about Chrissy! She did my hair and makeup for my wedding and she was amazing! Chrissy is highly professional, calm, reliable and highly knowledgeable. She is an expert in her field and amazing at her craft. Her very well organized process of working with each individual bride is very thorough. Chrissy works quickly and efficiently to make your wedding day as smooth as possible. Her pricing is also extremely fair! I am so thankful that I booked Chrissy for my wedding and my bridesmaids and mother were very happy with their hair and makeup and it lasted ALL day. If she is available on your wedding date book her immediately, you will not be disappointed.

WOW! That's all I can say about Chrissy and Dena!! Chrissy and I have several conversations ahead of time about what I was looking for on my wedding day, when it came time for the trial she nailed it!! Then the day of her and Dena crushed hair and make up. My bridesmaids all got very different and unique styles/ make up done and they all looked beautiful!!

Chrissy and her team did hair and makeup for myself (bride), my mom, bridesmaids, and flower girls. Chrissy is very talented, she listened to what I wanted and made it happen! Everyone looked beautiful! She was responsive and professional to work with.

Chrissy at Special Occasion Hair Design was SO great to work with, she was very accommodating of my changing needs, hopped right onto a phone call with me to clearly talk everything through and answer all of my questions. She gave me great advice during the wedding planning process and was very responsive and professional.

I was looking forward to working with Chrissy on my special day. The hair and trail went well. Chrissy told me that it would look better on the wedding day since more time would go into it. After the trial I had a few suggestions of what works better for me like using primer. I was very disappointed in the outcome of the wedding day. My makeup and hair was exactly like the trail with no improvements, except a shadow color change. On the wedding day, we felt rushed and did not listen to the suggestions to implement on the wedding day. My hair was loose when she finished. The rest of the bridal party's makeup was plain and their curls fell before they even left. As they were going to depart, they said they would do touch-ups which never happened. I expected a lot more for the price. Highly disappointed in the hair and makeup for my special day. Will not be recommending them.

Chrissy and Dena were absolutely amazing on my wedding day! They were punctual, professional, and kind to my bridal party, my mom, and myself. My makeup turned out exactly as I wanted (shoutout to Chrissy!), my bridal party was thrilled with their hair and makeup, and my mother was beyond nervous but ecstatic about the result of her hair and makeup. Chrissy and her assistant were amazing on my wedding day, as well as at my hair trial. She works with you to pick the most flattering style then works her magic to enhance it. My hair and makeup held perfectly all night and I felt like the best version of myself! Super sweet, extremely professional. All of my girls looked fantastic.

As a bride, there is no other woman you want doing your hair and makeup the day of your wedding. Chrissy is INCREDIBLE. Not only did she make every single one of my bridesmaids look and feel beautiful, she made me feel like a princess, without needing a ton of direction (as I was unsure as to what would look best on me). Chrissy and her team were not only there early but they kept us so on track - we even had an extra hour to just relax! Not only is she talented, but she is so kind and accommodating. I had to plan my wedding while out of state and she worked around my crazy schedule to make sure I had everything I needed. She even assisted me in styling my dress with accessories. I cannot recommend her highly enough, ladies - if you want the best on your wedding day you need Chrissy and her team!

FANTASTIC! Hands down my favorite vendor at my wedding! Chrissy is the best! She is so talented, understanding and fun! The morning of my wedding was the most fun and relaxing experience. Chrissy and her team from Special Occasion Hair Design were incredible. Chrissy is so talented and surrounds herself with incredibly talented people. Chrissy and her team did a great job for our wedding at the Esperanza Mansion. We had an early start time for the ceremony, which meant that they had to arrive VERY early in the morning. They were prompt, professional, and just very nice people to work with. We were very pleased with the results and received a lot of compliments on the hair and makeup for the whole bridal party.

I feel so lucky to have started my wedding day with Chrissy and her team. She was very attentive in the most laid back fashion to everyone in the room. She obviously is very accustomed to working in this setting-coordinating positioning with the photographers. My look was absolutely flawless. I'm so ecstatic about her services. She was truly wonderful and made me look like a million dollars on my wedding day.

I cannot thank Chrissy and her girls enough for all they did for us on my wedding day. It was the MOST BEAUTIFUL I have ever felt in my entire life. :) :) And I can honestly say that it was the first wedding I've ever been a part of where every single girl loved their hair and make-up. We hired Special Occasion Hair for the wedding. I decided to go with them because I saw a lot of variety on their website (vs standard curly hair that I saw a lot on other websites). This was very important for me since I was hiring stylist to do the whole bridal party and each of us had completely different hair. Chrissy and her assistant were great. Everything went so smooth starting with booking till the last moment. She was very flexible accommodating my timing for trials and consultations. I felt very safe with her. On the wedding day they were on the location even before us. My bridesmaids just trusted them with what they thought would be the best (of course taking into account general personal preferences for each of them). At the end everyone was looking in the mirror and could hardly recognize themselves! All of us including moms felt so beautiful and special. I definitely recommend Special Occasion Hair Design! They are amazing! Exactly what I was looking for! Chrissy, you were just great!

Chrissy and her team at Special Occasion Hair Design came to me the morning of my wedding. They were early, brought everything that they needed and were ready to work their magic! I loved that I could literally just wake up and they were there, in my home. I didn't have to leave, run around, or waste precious time driving to and from the salon. Being that I am a very natural girl to begin with I was really worried that I wasn't going to look like myself. Chrissy's experience and attention to detail is unreal, she took everything into consideration and totally delivered. My finished look was timeless, classic and everything I ever dreamed of! Chrissy and her team did hair and make-up for my bridal party, and everything turned out fabulous. Her teamed showed up on site and was ready to go promptly at our agreed upon start time. They were professional and courteous towards everyone, and stuck to the timeline we had arranged. Chrissy dealt with my fair complexion and red hair in a manner that inspired confidence, and left me looking and feeling stunning for my wedding.

Where do I start! From our first consultation I knew I had to hire Chrissy. She really took the time to understand my wedding day vision, from colors, to flowers, to venues, even my shoes?! She looks at so much more than just 'hair and makeup' This helped her really understand my personality and taste and she nailed it. The morning of, Chrissy and Jessica arrived on time (early) to my hotel ready to go! They have their whole process down to a science. They were professional and organized, and worked very well as a team. They made sure everyone was happy with their hair and makeup, doing any touchups throughout the morning that anyone needed. All of my bridesmaids and mother looked beautiful. Chrissy stayed until we were literally walking out the door, to make sure everything was just perfect.. She even helped me get into my dress! She was an absolute pleasure to work with and really made my morning a breeze.. She calmed my nerves and made me look my absolute best! By the end of the morning I wished I had invited her to the wedding! I cannot say enough good things about them :) I hope I have the opportunity to work with Special Occasions in the future. Chrissy and her team were just amazing! From my very first meeting with her, Chrissy was thorough with the questions she asked about my vision for the wedding and how my hair would match my vision. As the wedding drew closer Chrissy made sure to contact me and come up with a schedule that would work best for my wedding day. Chrissy and her team are amazing! I was hesitant to book because it was a little more than I wanted to spend, but I'm so glad I did. Future brides: IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY. Chrissy was not just a hair and makeup stylist for day of. She emailed and offered to meet with me multiple times for anything and everything for my day of look. She recommended places for undergarments, hair pieces, and countless other things. When I decided to be cheap and struggled to find hair accents that I liked and were reasonably priced she told me to find earrings, broaches, or bracelets I liked. She transformed a bracelet into a gorgeous headband and my grandmother's broach and one earring into sentimental and perfect hair accents pieces. The day of Chrissy and her team were fantastic. They were early, organized, and the work was amazing. We all felt and looked amazing. Every single person who got their hair and makeup done also mentioned how nice, friendly, and enjoyable it was to spend the morning with all of them. The fit right in with my friends and family and not only helped keep the stress down but made our morning fun!

They were absolutely wonderful! Chrissy and her team were a total delight. For my wedding, four of them came to do our hair & makeup; between our moms, sisters, friends and myself, there were 9 of us. It was a 1920s themed wedding, and the team showed up all done in themed hair and makeup for us to see. Everyone looked amazing. Our hair and makeup lasted all day and night. We all looked and felt beautiful. They were fun to spend the morning with on our especial day. We paid a little extra for one member of the team (Renee) to come to the wedding for a bit because I was afraid we'd need make up touched up before pictures. We did not need it, but she jumped right in, making sure we looked perfect in every picture and she even picked up in several places where our wedding coordinator failed. She helped me get into my gown, touched up my lipstick... Everything. I recommend them whole heartedly and with joy & confidence.

I cannot give Chrissy and her team enough praise for their work on my wedding day. Hair and makeup was perfect and beautiful on me, my four bridesmaids and both mothers. Chrissy made me look like myself, only better. She was wonderful to work with, and her calm presence helped my nerves the morning before my wedding. I also loved the fact that they were able to travel to us. One less thing to worry about day-of!

Chrissy is an amazing hair and make-up artist who really put me at ease on my big day because I knew that I could trust her. Her work is amazing and she and her staff are so friendly. She came right to the hotel (at 6:30 in the morning!) and had me ready on time and my hair and make-up looked perfect! Love her!
