Working with Evan at Specs Brodie Lane was great. We had no idea what we needed, or how much we needed, and he was able to make great recommendations based on our wedding menu. He recommended to err on the side of having too much, which was great because we were able to return all our unopened bottles and unopened cases of beer, which saved us a lot of money in the end.

We ordered our alcohol for our January 7th wedding on Christmas Eve, probably one of the busiest business days for Spec's! The staff did not let the craziness of the store get in their way of helping us complete our order. As a note of advice not unrelated (but not at all Spec's fault), think really hard about your friends and family when figuring out how to divide out your alcohol... we used some pretty standard calculations from TheKnot and other wedding websites and way over-ordered on the beer (like... we are not sure if more than one case was drunk) and ran out of bourbon probably an hour before the end of the reception.

Brian Perigo handled all our beer, wine and liquor for our wedding at Barr Mansion in Austin, TX. He was quick to answer all our emails, helped us to stay within budget and made great suggestions based on what we wanted. All his suggestions were delicious and we wouldn't have found those options on our own. He delivered all our alcohol to Barr Mansion at a very reasonable price which made things so easy for us! If you need to bring alcohol into your venue, call Brian at Spec's; you won't be disappointed!

We used the Specs on Brodie Ln to order the alcohol for our wedding and the whole process was so easy! We opted to go with beer and wine only and Tim Keller assisted us in picking out the best selections to go with our dinner menu, and he worked with our desires to stay within a certain budget. The alcohol was delivered with no problems whatsoever and the entire process went smoothly! We recommend using Specs if you are opting to provide your own alcohol for your wedding - it definitely saved us money and stress!

Did an amazing job providing kegs and wine for my wedding! So reasonably priced and great selection- kept our bar costs well within our budget. Pick up and drop off was easy!

Soooooo disappointing. My venue required us to bring in our own alcohol. Two of my friends had used Specs, and had said that they had made good recommendations on the amount/type of alcohol. That wasn't the case for us. After relying on them to recommend the amount of alcohol we needed, we ran out of the majority of the alcohol during the cocktail hour. WE WERE STILL TAKING FAMILY PICTURES WHEN I WAS TOLD WE WERE RUNNING OUT!!!!!!!!!!! We even had less people than what we had told Specs. I had planned for this day for so long, and to have something that major go wrong so early in the night was heartbreaking...not to mention a tad embarrassing. My stepfather and a few friends had to rush out (in their suits and tuxes) to buy more. The worst part was that Specs didn't seem to care....no apologies...nothing. Not sure what happened, but I thought they could at least been a little more sensitive. While it seems that most have had decent experiences with Specs, I would highly recommend having multiple people review the quote, and more importantly having someone on sight to ensure that what was delivered was actually what was ordered.

Specs is a great place for all your wine & beer wedding needs! A rep helped my dad calculate how many bottles of wines and how much beer to purchase! Very helpful.

Couldn't have gone with a better company for our liquor, wine and beer.My husband and I paid for our wedding so we obviously were on a budget, we had a set amount of what we wanted to spend. So one of the employee's there helped us out, we told him what we wanted and how big our wedding guest list was also our budget. He knew exactly what we should get, at the end we only went $10 over. I would say that was perfect, great staff and great prices.

Hey, it's Specs...it is what it is but you can get a lot of cheap booze for receptions or weddings.

We used the Spec's on Brodie/Ben White - they were able to special order everything we needed and have it held for us for a week to pick up. Helped us load it in our cars as well. Affordable and a great selection.

I went to this Spec's location to ask about beer and wine for my wedding a few weeks before. They sent me to talk to a wine guy. He gave me his card so I could email him. I did. It took a long time to hear back from him and he didn't take my preferences in account at all, then when I replied to discuss options I never heard back...until the week of the wedding. In the meantime I called and talked to a beer guy, Andy. He was great. Listened to me, took my preferences into account and helped me order the right amount of beer. They made picking up and returning the kegs easy. The beer department was great, we got our wine somewhere else.

Overall, I would recommend Spec's for another event or wedding, but I would definitely be more specific and pressing the next time around. We used the location in Dallas off Walnut Hill, and our rep. was pretty responsive and patient with our selection. My husband is a beer pro so finding a selection suitable enough was daunting. We nailed it down, chose our liquor, wine, and champagne quickly, and were done. Little extras popped up here and there, mixers, garnish, etc., which was fine but was adding up pretty quickly. We still stayed under budget which thrilled us. For a NYE bash for 150 people, keeping our booze costs well under $1500 was amazing. AND they have a buy-back program, too, so we got back about $300+ when all was said and done. Perfect!! However, make sure you have plenty of time to spare when going back to the store for the buy-back. Not every employee is quick at the counter with this task, and with price changes/discounts, it can take an hour or two. No joke! You NEED your receipt or it just won't happen. The most stress I received from this vendor was the 30+ hours before the wedding... which, you know, are probably the most stressful hours before any wedding. They didn't have a particular beer in stock, we needed to replace it. They forgot to charge us for some mixers so there's another last minute charge the night before the wedding. They weren't sure of the venue address... things like this. Little details that would not have been as painful if they were done a few more days in advance. Communication with our rep was spectacular until after the wedding. I was missing the receipt for the last-minute charge and needed it for the buy-back. The totals between the two charges were more than the proposal for all items - why? I still have not heard a single word from this rep since the day of the wedding, and I've talked with management at the store and have sent her emails. Also, we ran out of liquor at 10:45, and our reception wasn't over for another 2 hours. The bar opened at 7:45, so to go through all of those bottles in 3 hours was impressive. I wish that our rep would have suggested ordering a few more bottles of liquor to keep our guests satiated, when she actually tried to talk us out of what we did order. Of course, the bartenders did serve a few shots when they were specifically told not to, so that didn't help at all. Like I said, I'd definitely use them again, but I would just be more careful and cognizant of what I was ordering and who I was speaking to. They had great prices, and the buy-back option was great! Not every bar service lets you keep what you pay for so that's a plus for Spec's!

spec's is fantastic, and in particular mark rashap, their wonderful wine educator! we used specs as the alcohol provider for our wedding, and mark was so great in advising us about some fantastic, reasonably-priced options from the two italian regions we wanted to concentrate on (since we had wedding guests coming from both regions and wanted to pay tribute to them). he sent us home with our "research" bottles, and then worked with us to determine the appropriate numbers of bottles we would need and helped make sure he could accommodate the quantity of each of our selections -- and everything went perfectly smoothly. our guests were all pleased with the selections and had a great time! we'd recommend specs and mark for SURE -- we were so very pleased!

Spec's was our supplier for the wine and kegs for our wedding in Driftwood. We had them order cases of wine which only took a couple of weeks and they were very easy to work with and offered good prices. We then picked up two kegs from the Spec's in Austin the day of the wedding and again were super easy to work with. Just remember, they are closed on Sundays so someone will have to return the kegs and accessories on Monday. We left for the honeymoon and had to put one of the groomsmen in charge of this.

We ordered all of our alcohol for our wedding through Specs at the Airport Drive Location. Brian (their wine specialist) was extremely helpful in putting together the perfect bar for us along with helping us select some great wines! The best part was they have a restocking policy which allowed us to return much of the unopened/unused alcohol (which saved us lots of money in the end). I would definitely recommend Specs (particularly Brian at the Airport Drive Location) for all your alcohol needs for your next event

Great service before and after wedding!!! Made it very easy to order the wine and even took back and refunded all bottles we didnt use! :)

Spec's did an awesome job with my alcohol order and the price was affordable. They delivered a little late to my wedding, but luckily we were available to load up and start cooling down before we left the venue to get ready. The staff was nice and helpful, and we were pleased with the long list of available beer they had on stock. Thanks Specs! Our guests don't remember much from our wedding, which means you guys did it right!
