Wonderful place and selection. Nancy and Giselle were just amazing and outstanding. They are knowledgeable, show vision, creativity and willingness to accommodate. Incredible experience and highly recommended.
I walked by Spina Bridal when I was in NYC just before I had gotten engaged, and I said to myself 'If and when I get engaged, I want to go there to try on dresses."
About a month later, I was engaged, and several months after that, I had an appointment at Spina to try on wedding dresses. It ended up being the only bridal shop that I went to. I purchased a dress there that day.
The customer service was excellent throughout my whole experience, starting with Kendall who was the bridal associate I had my appointment with. They allowed me to look through the racks myself and decide which dresses I wanted to try, rather than having a sales associate pull them based on what they think I would like. I found a couple dresses I really loved, and decided to leave to sleep on it. About an hour later, I felt like I didn't have enough information to make my decision(my sister didn't take the best pics), so I called them up and asked if I could pop back in. Kendall was super accommodating, got me back in within an hour, and I purchased a dress that day.
Fast forward to my wedding approaching, and the customer service at Spina continued to be exemplary. The owner, Giselle, was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, and I can really thank her, Spina, and the designer of my dress, Santos Costura, for making me feel like the most beautiful bride on my wedding day.
I initially booked an appointment at Spina Bride because they carried a specific designer/dress I had my eye on - Chana Marelus' Clover gown. From my first appointment, the Spina Bride experience was top notch and Giselle was an absolute dream to work with. Giselle really wanted to understand the vision I was going for so that she could help me find the perfect dress. Despite the fact that I had my eye set on a gown, she was supportive as I tried on several other dresses and using her knowledge and expertise gave very honest opinions when I asked for it (I am a very indecisive person and really appreciated her advice!). Every dress in there is out of this world, and I could have been so happy in many different gowns - but Giselle and I both knew that the one I originally had my eye on was the one for me and it was really Giselle's support that helped me pull that trigger! She was patient and supportive, and did not just push a more expensive dress on me when she totally could have which I really appreciated. Giselle helped me decide how to create a custom open back on the gown and helped me find an alterations specialist (Selene Alterations & Custom Designs) to bring it to life. There was very clear and easy communication to schedule fittings, make payments, and keep me posted on the delivery of the dress. Giselle and the Spina team is the reason I found my dream wedding dress and I cannot thank them/recommend this boutique more!!
Giselle was a dream to work with. She is so genuine and truly the kind of person you want holding your hand through the tough selection process, as all of their dresses are so uniquely beautiful. I can’t thank her and the Spina team enough for making my decision so easy! Not to mention they were not pushy at all. I felt like the whole boutique was mine to roam until I found the dress - to which I said yes!
My experience at Spina Bride was so amazing. The boutique was so beautiful and my appointment felt so special and intimate. Giselle was incredible, she pulled dresses for me that were exactly what I was looking for. The dresses at spina are so beautiful and unique compared to many other bridal salons I had been to. I am so happy to be a Spina Bride and I can not recommend them enough!
Walking into Spina is like entering a secret garden in the city- the atmosphere is soft and warm, the gowns are exquisite, and the service was outstanding (especially having the store to ourselves). This was my first wedding dress salon visit, and Melissa made me feel comfortable and confident through every step. I couldn't recommend Spina and Melissa more.
I can’t say enough amazing things about spina bride. I went to the highline location and it was just so special and unique. Melissa was incredible, i couldn’t have asked for a better stylist to help me pick out the perfect dress. The dresses are spina are so beautiful and unique, i honestly had a hard time choosing between 3 different dresses(and i had been to two other big salons that i didn’t find anything i really loved). Not only is their selection incredible but they really treat you like you are the most special bride. From the minute i walked in and melissa took me around to explain the different designers to her picking more dresses that i could have ever imagined trying on, the entire experience was just so incredible. They were also super accommodating when my 6 year old niece came to help me and we got to take super cute pictures of me choosing my actual wedding dress. I just can’t recommend them enough and if you are lucky enough to get melissa you will be the happiest soon to be bride!
This was by far my favorite bridal shopping experience. I didn’t end up buying my dress here because I fell in love with a dress elsewhere, but this was a fantastic place to shop. It felt like being a celebrity – Giselle treated us like star clients, even though my budget was probably tighter than most brides she works with, and the studio is absolutely beautiful, zen and elegant and quiet and full of sunlight. The one-appointment-at-a-time policy goes a long way to making you feel special, and there was tea and slippers for all, as well as lush couches. The west village location also adds to the “celebrity” experience – I had tourists peering in at the windows and giving thumbs up when I came out in dresses, which was hilarious/made me feel fabulous. The dresses are unlike any others I saw in other shops, and absolutely stunning. Would recommend to anyone looking for a dress a little outside the box.
I was in a unique situation two weeks before my wedding, and Giselle came to my rescue. She was able to ship the dress of my dreams into her store and sent me to alterations all within those two weeks. My experience at the boutique was top notch and the best in NYC. (trust me, I went to most of the boutiques and designers in the city) It seems kind of crazy to say, but every dress in the store made me feel like a bride. The designers carried at Spina are like no other-they are so unique and beautiful. I am so thankful to the Spina team and feel so grateful to be a Spina Bride.
Giselle has curated the most gorgeous gowns in the world at Spina Bride, and she makes the shopping experience so lovely and fun. She has impeccable taste, so every dress is truly one of a kind, and is experienced enough to recommend exactly what will be most flattering. I went to a few other boutiques in the city for my wedding dress, but as soon as I stepped into Spina I knew I would find the perfect dress there, and I absolutely did. If you're interested in fashion and want a unique dress and/or accessories for your wedding day, I cannot recommend Spina enough.
Incredible experience. I went to the new Lee Grebenau boutique and I have to say Giselle has curated a one-of-a-kind experience. The dresses are gorgeous, and the service is incredible. Very personal appointment, where you won't feel like you're part of another bride's experience!
Spina is such a special place. Not only are the dresses unique and expertly curated, but it is also such a nice refuge from the bigger, pushier, less intimate NYC shops. It will just be you, Giselle, and your shopping buddies, and she'll help you find dresses that make you feel magically gorgeous. The dress I ended up choosing was totally not what I'd envisioned, and I'm not sure I would've tried it on if she hadn't suggested it, but it was absolutely PERFECT - I felt amazing in it and had so many people tell me it was one of the most special dresses they'd ever seen. Definitely add Spina to your list!!
Spina Bride was everything I was looking for and much more. It's a beautiful, sophisticated and intimate space with gorgeous dresses that are modern, fun, elegant and unique. Spina offers something that no other bridal boutique I went to did. The private one on one consultations with Giselle are peaceful, carefully crafted to your needs and the best bridal dress experience I had. Giselle is superb at making you feel relaxed and comfortable and she offers the best advice. Giselle makes the experience fun and magical. This boutique is incredibly special and I would recommend it to any unique bride who doesn't want the same old experience at those other run of the mill tired stores. Spina is definitely for a bride looking to make her own waves and you can not be in better hands with Giselle, who's design eye is excellent for finding you the perfect dress. Giselle is an awesome lady, who you'll be lucky to meet. The slippers and hot tea is an extra special treat.

From the moment I entered Spina Bridal shop, I felt special. I was greeted by Giselle who supplied slippers and hot tea for myself and my entourage (two sisters and mother). The space was cozy, well lit, earthy, modern and elegant. I had Giselle full attention during my appointment. She began by informing us about her business and the collections she carried. The gowns come from various international designers, of which she has exclusive access. Her select collection of gowns are unique, beautiful and thoughtfully chosen. Representing more of a gourmet tasting then a smorgasbord feast. Giselle was a welcome respite to the parade of bridal shops I had experienced. She offered personalized attention demonstrating genuine joy for her work. Instead of feeling tolerated by bedraggled employees of larger shops, my experience was one of "playing dress ups" that I remembered as a little girl. Giselle assisted in accessorizing silk gowns with gold crowns, back necklaces, sheer jackets, dramatic lace veils, etc.. She focused on every last detail to help me envision how I would look and feel the day of my wedding. Her professional demeanor was in perfect balance with the relaxed and fun atmosphere. I highly recommend Spina if only for the sheer enjoyment of it.
Of all the places I visited to check out dresses, Spina was by far the best -- and of course, I found my dress there! Giselle is an absolute joy to work with. She's incredibly kind and makes the whole process relaxing, easy and fun. It's worth checking out the shop because she's done all the heavy lifting, picking out all these gorgeous dresses from designers around the world. I found the perfect dress there (I hadn't seen anything like it anywhere else!) and Giselle was completely brilliant about how we could alter it (neckline, sleeve, train, etc.) to be exactly what I wanted. She's also a pro at measuring. The dress came in exactly as we'd hoped and Giselle was more than flexible on letting me pick a time to come by (I've got a sneaky feeling she even opened up the shop early for me...). Easily the best part of wedding planning so far!
Spina Bride is absolutely amazing! Wonderful boutique, incredibly helpful staff, beautiful space, and the dresses are gorgeous! I went to so many wedding dress shops before coming here- nothing compared to my experience at Spina. Giselle is a doll, and provides the best customer service! She took her time, helped me figure out what looked best and fit my personality and never pushed to complete a sale. Going there was like spending time with an old friend. Everyone there is so inviting and helpful. My experience at Spina has been, by far, the best throughout all of my planning for anything for my wedding. She even personally delivered my wedding dress to my apartment on the Upper East Side! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Spina. I referred Spina to another friend who was looking, and she had the same wonderful experience that I did. You will not regret visiting the boutique and spending time with Giselle and her stunning collection of wedding dresses. :)
After months of striking out at other places (both big, impersonal shops and many smaller, disorganized showrooms), I was so relieved to find Spina. The dresses are unique and beautiful, the storefront itself is gorgeous and comfortable, and Giselle is so kind, patient, and responsive. She made everything easy and fun, and the whole process has felt very personal and relaxed.
DO NOT USE THEM! I had to take time off of work and pay for fare to be turned down at the door for a bridal appointment that had been scheduled AND CONFIRMED in 2 separate emails! Apparently, they were using the space for a photo shoot which I'm guessing was booked more than 24 hours in advance. If they can't handle scheduling a simple appointment, I can't imagine how they handle wedding coordination. Since they didn't have the decency to call me to cancel, and instead waited until I showed up at the door, I will take my business elsewhere and suggest others do the same.
I visited Spina a few weeks back and had a wonderful experience. Giselle made my mom, sister and I feel right at home. The space itself is very chic and filled with a curated selection of stunning gowns from international designers. Giselle was so kind and went above and beyond to make us feel special and have the day be memorable, such as hotel slippers and jasmine tea. Spina has huge windows facing the street and having so much natural light was immensely helpful as I tried on dresses. Giselle was helpful before, during and after the appointment and I would absolutely encourage anyone dress shopping in NYC to get there.
Spina Bride is an oasis in crazy NYC. The shop is beautiful and the service is perfect. Giselle, the owner, makes you feel incredibly special, and you have the whole place to yourself when you have an appointment. It's an experience like no other and the gowns are gorgeous. There is something for every style. I highly recommend!
